Look, it sucks, there was a huge holocaust, and many jews died at the hands of the Germans. It sucks, but such is life. I agree that jews like all people should live in peace and not have to worry about attacks or enemies, but that’s not the real world.
Jews have been living in the MIddle East for thousands of years, and have never been exterminated like the Germans did in WWII. The sole reason the state of Israel was created was to somehow safeguard them against further crimes, fine, I agree with that.
But what do the palestinians have to do with that crime? Why do they have to move out of their homes, in order for jews to have the land?
The common misconception is that jews are hated for being jews, NO, jews are hated in the middle east, because they are an artifical presence. They were placed there by a UN mandate which at that time was pretty much UK and the US. They placed them in a land on which they had not had a state, and expect them to live in peace?
Look, why don’t we make the Germans pay for their crimes and put the jewish state in Munich, or Berlin, or Frankfurt?
Like i said, American support for israel is because of religious reasons. There is a reason the jewish lobby is so strong in the US, its because they play on that religious fear.
Its ludicrous to have a “jewish” state, when all other western nations are secular, and open to any religion. I don’t get how you are against religious extremism, and want to seperate religion and state, and yet you tolerate a “jewish” state as your greatestally.

I think we should combine palestine and Israel and make it one state. With jerusalem as the capital.
Its been “one stae” for all of history, why do we have to have an artifical border that separates jews from arabs when they have been living side by side for thousands of years prior to the separation?
One slight problem, Missy. The Muslims DON’T WANT co-existence. They want dead Jews.
Israel has offered repeatedly to live in peace with their neighbors. They’ve entered in to numerous treaties. And EVERY time, it was the Palestinians who broke off, which comes as no surprise to anyone who has bothered reading the translations of Islam’s “holy” books.
And make no mistake, Israel, as per historical records, belongs to the Jews. The UN wasn’t just giving the Jews land, they were giving it BACK.
A Moslem can worship freely in Jerusalem – any Jew who dared to set foot in Mecca would be lynched.
That is the problem – not US foreign policy, not the existence of Israel, not the plight of the Palestinians. All of these and more are just excuses – the real issue is that Islam considers the mere existence of a non-Moslem to be a pollution and the only way it can be made right is if Moslems are overlords.
Until that attitude changes, there will be no lasting peace.

Ohio, I think they would attack the US because you have a presence in their lands.
Until recently, the US had troops stationed in their holy land. Its those kind of things that can provoke a people. I am not saying the provocation was called for, but at the same time, wy be there in the first place.
You are rght in that they attacked Spain, and England, but that’s because those countries had a presence in their lands as well. Once spain pulled out of the war on terror, they were left alone. Once England pulled out of Iraq, they have been left alone.
The point I want to make is that you can’t continue to provoke people, and denigrate them without some sort of repercussion at some time.

all the countries you listed have been attacked, but again, most European countries, and latin american countries, and countries that have no presence and business in the middle east from a political standpoint have been left alone.
