Women Who Refuse Abortion Under Threat

Nothing good can come of the Culture of Death – this is just more proof of that:

Women who refuse requests from their husbands or boyfriends to have abortions are often finding themselves subject to violent attacks that sometimes result in their deaths. That’s the finding of a new report from the Elliot Institute, which calls the problem a “widespread epidemic.”

The new report, Forced Abortion in America, is drawing attention to attacks on pregnant women and girls in order to prevent them from continuing their pregnancies.

It points out a “widespread epidemic of unwanted, coerced and forced abortions taking place in the United States.”

The report notes how research suggests most abortions are likely unwanted or coerced, with one survey of women who had abortions finding that 64 percent said they felt pressured by others to abort.

Death is something never to be sought – it comes to us all, of course, but it is not something we are supposed to court. Our natural inclination is to live – life is good, and God has written that on our hearts. When we choose death, when we go out of our way to inflict it without cause, we have chosen evil. And out of that evil, worse will follow.

The Culture of Life is the only rational position to hold – it is in line with human nature and expresses the truth of our condition. We must end this scourge of abortion in order to regain a rational society.

    As long as I’m asking unanswerable questions, here’s another I’ve never gotten an actual response to:

    Suppose abortion is outlawed, nationwide, in America. We all know that women will continue to seek abortions, right? So the question is:

    What do you do with them if you catch them? Put them in prison for murder? Their doctors, too? What is the appropriate punishment for a woman who decides to terminate a pregnancy in a “pro-life” world?

    Looking forward to the answer.

      The score or so abortions per year which would take place under those circumstances would be dealt with by severely punishing the “doctor” who performed the abortion.

        It is the woman’s right to decide whether or not to have an abortion. If she decides against it and is assaulted or murdered because of that decision, the criminal who committed the act must be subject to every punishment under the law.

        It is the woman’s choice, pure & simple.

        The flaw in your argument Mark is that the only reason women seek abortion is because it is legal. Aplly the same reasoning to drugs, or even homicide, real homicide and you see how silly your reply to cyberactor is.

        You really believe that making abortion homicide would decrese the number of abortions to 20 or fewer a year?

        “Naturally illegal” to you means something you find abhorrent or cannot tolerate or that you think is a sin and should be illegal for all. Anything your beliefs allow is then “legal” and the basis for these things is your religion. How are you different from Iran? One theocracy is different from the other only in the religion itself not its purpose. Mark admits doctors who perform abortions should be punished but yet would allow an accessory to murder who contracted a killing, the woman who seeks the abortion, to go free. He does this because he like you know that as soon as they start to arrest women for having abortions and charging them with murder laws would be passed in every state that would make first trimester abortion legal yet again.

        I agree that Roe is bad law, but the “no abortion at all” crowd is wasting its time because there will always be somewhere in America where a woman has the right to choose.

        I have no doubt that there will always be butchers with medical degrees willing to murder children. I also have no doubt there will be pimps willing to rape and drug young girls in to prostitution.

        I can’t see, however, that making either operation legal will improve things.

      most women would probably go to other countries to get an abortion…but in reality…the moral right is to protect the life of the child…its what our constitution is based upon…so in reality…just like it was befroe roe v wave…it is a crime to execute unborn children…people went to prison in this country from the beginning, for 197 years…the life of the unborn was held above immoral lifestyles (that have been encouraged by pro-abortion laws)…face it..if a woman wants a child…its pretty well known that sex is the way to get there…but when men and women use sex as a past time…and dont hold any value in social responsibility…we end up killing unborn children…living human beings…that have no means to protect themselves…its not like we dont know that happens in abortion clinic’s…when they rip off pieces of the tiny bodies and shove forceps into thier brains to make sure they are not alive…liberals try to make the point that they are not “persons” under the law…but the unalienable right to life is not guaranteed by our government…it exists above and beyond thier authority…and every person alive has it…the governments duty is to protect that right is every point, every objection and every situation…not to consent to its violation and the murder of 53 million of america’s unborn…government does not have that entitlement or authority…

        If “sex is a reproductive act” why do married post menopausal women have sex with their husbands? They can’t conceive so why not divorce and live alone until death if sex is a reproductive act? Seniors have very healthy and active sex lives outside of reproductive potential and I take you feel these people are just playing a game too? What about married couples in their child bearing years who use contraceptives?

      I doubt there will come a time in the foreseeable future that abortion will be declared illegal in the United States. What is much more likely to happen is that Roe v. Wade will be overturned as the bad law that it is; the issue will be referred back to the states where some will ban it and some will allow it, based on the wishes of the citizens of that state.

        actually, the constitution is founded on the belief that the right to life in inalienable…a right that no man, nor court, nor state can have any authority to remove…and the federal governments duty is to protect that life…not to diminish its duty to uphold what our constitution is founded upon…which is…the declaration of independence…

      Mark can’t give the obvious answer to that question because it is a very darl alley to walk down. In states which have the death penalty for murder for hire, his religion would come into question visa vis the law. Mark opposes the death penalty, however, in that new world order where abortion is considered an illegal act of homicide the law states death is an appropriate punishment. Women languishing in prison for abortion and doctors and nurses as well would not be a pretty picture initially but like most things Americans would come to ignore it in time. What Mark is saying is that the State, which he abhors as being too invasive in the lives of people of his religious worldview, should invade the lives of women who wish to terminate their pregnancies in support of his religious beliefs. In my opinion this is a narrow but existant government sanctioning of the tenets of an organized religion, and de facto an unconstitutional violation of the establishment of state religion.

    Here’s an article I just read: http://www.politicsdaily.com/2…..hers-life/ A nun gets excommunicated, the equivalent of spiritual death(according the the Catholic Church) for deciding to save a mother’s life, at the cost of her 11 week old fetus. This is just plain wrong. The mother AND the baby would have died if they hadn’t acted. Dogmatism once again trumps compassion and morality.

    I agree. To seek the death of an innocent human being is murder before it ever actually physically takes place. In other words, to make the decision to take the life of an unborn child is murder already. Which shows us that the spiritual aspect of it is more serious than the actual physical murder. The unborn child that was murdered is automatically in the arms of Jesus, so they’re safe, but the one who uses his hands to snip the baby’s body into pieces and crush the baby’s head with a pair of pliers, they have some very bad things awaiting them. And we can’t put a definition on the length to which they will endure them, because it is never-ending. That’s not just “justice” for the unborn that we slain, but it is judgment.

    I often times wonder what the reasons are for that women are pressured into murdering the child in their womb. A couple things come quick to mind – the first thing that comes to mind is for financial reasons – well, that might seem reasonable enough, but it’s not. If for financial reasons, then they should have thought about that before going to bed.

    Another part of the financial equation is – Grandparents don’t want to be burdened with helping their children care for their children. Seems kind of bizarre, I know…but such is the world of sin.

    And the second thing is for sexual reasons – children who’ve decided to knowingly become parents don’t want to become preoccupied with raising little junior or Suzie…they want to spend the majority of their time making out. Kind of a sad excuse for murdering little junior and Suzie, isn’t it? But again, such is the world of sin.

    God will not only judge individuals on judgment day, but He also judges nations before that time comes for actions such as those committed against the unborn, the elderly, and the weak.

    Our world will only continue to grow more and more wicked until people turn back to the Lord.
