From Ramussen:
The Wisconsin Senate race is still a toss-up, with Republican Ron Johnson and incumbent Democrat Russ Feingold in a near tie.
The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of Likely Voters in Wisconsin shows Johnson with 48% support. Feingold, a member of the Senate since 1993, again picks up 46% of the vote…
This is pretty much unchanged from the last poll two weeks ago – but the really important thing here is that Feingold should be having a walk over in this race. This is his fourth run – he’s been a popular Senator in tune with the Wisconsin electorate. If Feingold is in trouble – and he is – then the entire Democrat party is on the brink of disaster.

It really would be a shame to see Feingold lose his Senate seat because, as you say, Mark, he has done a great job representing Wisconsin but what would be more shameful would be for Nevada voters to send old Harry back to Washington.
Angle started out like gang busters and now is running neck to neck after losing a 11 pt. lead. What in the h*** happened?
Surely her sane and reasonable platform can’t be to blame, can it?

CO,
How’s your research on Shore Bank coming?
Sorry, he has not done a great job for Wisconsin. People in Wisconsin are waking up. He has been running ads claiming Johnson wants to drill for oil in the Great Lakes. That was just so clever in the wake of the Gulf spill. He claims to want to protect the Great Lakes as opposed to his opponent. Yet he said nothing when MMSD dumped several million gallons of raw sewage into Lake Michigan last week. And this is at least the fourth time this summer. Why does he not say anything? Because the sewerage district is run by democrats. Instead of working to fix that problem he pushes light rail that nobody except Madison liberals want. I will admit he can talk a good game, but in the end he is just as liberal as Obama. Wisconsin is bleeding jobs and money thanks to people like Feingold and Governor Doyle (so unpopular that he chose not to run for re-election rather than face a crushing defeat). It’s time for some hope and change of our own in Wisconsin.
