Cause it’s not going to be anything resembling a fair contest.
It seemed that the Ohio Secretary of State (who just happens to be a democrat–go figger) disallowed any observers in their “vote early, vote often” program. Despite the fact that the State Supreme Court finally disallowed the SOS’s edict, this went on for a couple of days:
Michelle Malkin has another example of voter fraud waiting to happen, if it hasn’t already occurred.
To the leftward leaning people of this board:
With the lack of scruples evident on your side, whether it be from ACORN, or even from willing elected officials who are complicit in enabling conditions for fraud to occur, aren’t you beginning to feel a bit dirty?
Do you really want to “win” elections in this manner?
Is the paucity of substance regarding your side’s policy positions really that significant such that you must resort to abject fraud in order to advance them?
And don’t insult my intelligence with your tired, “You can’t prove anything!” line of B.S. You know damn well what’s going on.
Is this really what you’re made of?
Don’t know about you, but when I think about it, it literally makes me physically ill.
Sucks to be you.
UPDATE, by Mark Noonan: While agreeing with the sentiment that it must suck to be a Democrat, I wish to disassociate myself with any contention that Ohio will fall to Obama…Obama and his Democrats will make a full court press to steal the State, but I believe that the good people of Ohio - including many Democrats - will rise up on election day and swamp the voter fraud efforts.
Listening to Hillary and Obama on the campaign, there have been plenty of debate over who will be ready in the general election campaign to not only face McCain, but to handle everything “the Republican throw at them.” They act all high and mighty, claiming to care about the issues and not attacks against their opponents. Well, according to this story from The Hill, it appears the Democrats are much interested in digging up dirt for ammunition than they are in debating the issues.
The Democratic National Committee (DNC) filed a number of Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests with Cabinet-level agencies and inter-agency departments looking for opposition research to use against presumptive Republican nominee Sen. John McCain (Ariz.).
In early February, there was a sharp uptick in the number of FOIA requests from the DNC with McCain as a specific target. February was about the same time McCain emerged as the front-runner and likely nominee.
A review of FOIA requests and independent confirmations obtained by The Hill turned up requests from the DNC at at least three agencies – the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the Department of the Interior (DOI), the Federal Election Commission (FEC) and the Commerce Department.
According to one filing, Alicia McClintock, a DNC operative, wrote DOI asking for “any and all records of communication (including but not limited to letters, written requests, reports, telephone records, electronic communication) between your agency and John McCain or his offices/staff from 1999 to present during which period he has been a United States Senator.”
Despite their posturing, it is obvious the Democrats have a win-at-all-costs attitude about elections, and smearing their opponents is undoubtedly the biggest and most important part of their game plan. In public, they’ll say that the voters don’t fall for such attacks, but behind closed doors they work hard to engineer the worst of the worst attacks against anyone who stands in their way.
“It is unconscionable that with America’s security on the line, the Democrats chose to spend Congress’ time on pointless partisan posturing. As a member of Congress I serve no higher duty than to help keep our friends, families and loved ones safe. The Protect America Act has been a critical part of the effort to prevent, interrupt and foil terrorist attacks. Yet with it set to expire in just two days, the Democrats refused to work with Republicans to reauthorize it.
“The Protect America Act provides vital updates to the original 1978 FISA provision, allowing law enforcement and intelligence services to meet the threat posed by the enemies of today. For over six months house Democrats have refused to bring a comprehensive, long-term FISA bill to the floor.
“Even the Senate passed a bipartisan reauthorization bill. And the President cleared his schedule to ensure that terrorist chatter wouldn’t slip through the cracks while our intelligence officers awaited these important surveillance tools.
“But the Democrats were more interested in establishing commemorative weeks, honoring groups and taking cheap shots at Administration officials. About the most substantive thing they had planned for today were technical corrections to a 36-year-old fungicide bill. And so I joined my fellow house republicans in walking off the floor today in protest.
“America’s safety must come before partisanship. Democrats need to work with Republicans to pass long-term FISA reform. I hope that today’s Republican action will help propel a FISA bill onto the floor so we can get back to the business of protecting the American people.”
And the Christian Science Monitor reports that the dems in Congress are willing to let FISA die altogether. Yeah.. real smart.
If we get another 9/11 or worse, lay the blame at the feet of Nancy Pelosi.
There’s a special election in Ohio’s 5th Congressional District next Tuesday, December 11. Republican candidate, Bob Latta is running to fill the seat formerly held by the late Paul Gillmor.
This is solid GOP seat, but the Democrats are now putting a lot of money into the race, hoping to edge out a victory. The DCCC is running an attack ad, so misleading that several Ohio stations have pulled the ad.
