Infidel?

Well, they did get it right about Edwards

Reports out of Washington, DC: PRESIDENT OBAMA in a shocking cheating scandal after being caught in a Washington, DC Hotel with a former campaign aide.

A confidential investigation has learned that Obama first became close to gorgeous 35 year-old VERA BAKER in 2004 when she worked tirelessly to get him elected to the US Senate, raising millions in campaign contributions.

Couple years back we all would have said, “are you kidding? That’s the National Enquirer! Who can believe them?”. But then the MSM stopped reporting negative stuff about Democrats…and now if anyone is going to report it, it’ll be those who have to drive their circulation by the most lurid stories imaginable.

If you’re on the left and don’t like this, then I suggest you talk to your friends in the MSM. Go over carefully with them how important it is to always tell the truth about what is going on, even if it hurts the left. Remember, Edwards with all his nauseating scandals actually had a solid shot of being President simply because the MSM sat on the story.

2009: In Case You Missed It

In reflecting on the past year, I thought I’d mention some of the bigger stories that didn’t get the attention they deserved.

Climategate – An unbelievable blow to the science community that will forever leaves us wondering how objective science really is. This story not only proved the man-made global warming theory to be hogwash, but showed that the mainstream media didn’t care.

The Van Jones and Kevin Jennings Scandals – These two personify the lack of judgment of Barack. Appointing Marxists and pedophiles to high-level government positions, and the mainstream media didn’t cover them.

White House Snitching Story - Criticize Obama’s vision for health care reform? Why, you might just end up being “snitched” on through a White House web form encouraging supporters of Obama to report it. Big Brother, O, Where Art Thou?

ACORN Tapes – Once again, did anyone besides FOX News report on this? This is a story that is likely to keep going on through next year, as BigGovernment.com promises more tapes will be revealed.

Tea Party Protests - Ostrich Syndrome once again. The mainstream media felt that if they ignored the story, it didn’t exist.  With millions of people taking to the streets in their cities across the country, and even collectively in Washington, DC,  these protests against high taxes and expanding government were either ignored or written off as racist.

The Mid-South Ice Storm and The Iowa Floods of 2009 - Two examples of Katrina-like catastrophes with lackluster government response that got virtually no coverage in the national media.

Are there any I’ve missed? Feel free to mention them, and I’ll add to this list.

    Sanford Still Hasn’t Resigned

    Which fact amazes me.

Uh, governor – Pound sand. Get lost. Hit the road – the sooner you’re out of politics, the better.

Planned Parenthood Breaks the Law, Again

    The story:

BIRMINGHAM, June 30 /Christian Newswire/ — A Planned Parenthood counselor in Birmingham was caught on hidden camera telling an alleged 14-year-old statutory rape victim that the clinic “does sometimes bend the rules a little bit” rather than report sexual abuse to state authorities. This is the seventh Planned Parenthood clinic implicated in a multi-state child abuse scandal involving the deliberate and unlawful suppression of evidence of statutory rape.

Lila Rose, 20-year-old UCLA student and president of the non-profit Live Action, went undercover at a Planned Parenthood clinic in Birmingham and told a counselor that she was 14-years-old, pregnant by her 31-year-old “boyfriend.” Rose said she needed a secret abortion so her parents would not find out about her sexual relationship with the older man.

After telling the counselor that her “boyfriend” is 31, Rose asks, “Is it a problem about my boyfriend?” The counselor, identified as “Tanisha” in the video, responds, “As long as you consented to having sex with him, there’s nothing we can truly do about that.” Rose then says that her boyfriend “said he could get in big trouble,” and Tanisha acknowledges that “he could, especially if your parents find out that he’s 31.” She then tells Rose that the clinic manager, OB/GYN Dr. Desiree Bates, “sometimes does bend the rules a little bit” and states that “whatever you tell us stays within these walls” and “we can’t disclose any information to anybody.”

Alabama code 26-14-3 requires health professionals to disclose suspected cases of sexual abuse to state officials immediately.

How many of these cases will we have to see before:

    1. Liberals admit that Planned Parenthood is a criminal organization?
    2. The Federal government stops using taxpayer funds to support PP?
    3. Criminal investigations are launched against this corrupt group?

This is the 7th case documented so far – so PP knows that this is happening and if they were at all interested in obeying the law, there would already be a serious effort to discipline the affiliates to ensure they are following the law. That this has happened so many times indicates that PP doesn’t care about the law and figures that the Democrats will protect them in return for continued campaign donations. But, Democrats, is this what you really want for your party? Even if you think abortion should be legal, do you really want to be associated with people who cover up rape?

What can we expect from an organization founded by a racist eugenicist who wanted to use abortion to rid America of black people and other “undesirables”? When you start off as a criminal enterprise, you’re not likely to improve with age. We need to shut this organization down and send its leaders to jail, not prop it up with taxpayer money.

    A Question to Ponder

    From Mark Steyn:

…I support the Governor (Sanford) on limited government, spending and taxes, but sorry, his talents are not so unique that it’s worth putting up with a narcissist buffoon.

My column at the weekend suggested that celebrity politics and big government – ie, putting your trust in princes and putting the prince in “the bubble” – all but guarantee rule by creeps and misfits. In support of that thesis, we now have John Edwards – The Movie:

Former Edwards aide Andrew Young says the ex-senator and his former mistress, Rielle Hunter, once made a sex tape

Of course. What else would a presidential candidate do to unwind after a hard day on the stump? But the line that caught my eye was this, from Mrs Edwards:

Elizabeth also suspects Young stole the baseball card collection of her late son, Wade

Is politics some kind of affirmative action program for sociopaths?

Given that I’m on verge of jumping into the sewer, any advice on avoiding sociopathic behavior would be appreciated.

If there has ever been an argument against term limits, the actions of these creeps has swept it aside. I’m reminded now that the Romans under the Republic had a tradition that once you served in an office, you had to step aside for five years before seeking a different office…and during that five years you were open to lawsuits arising out of your actions in office. This, at least for a few centuries, kept Roman government reasonably honest…think of it, we’d never have a sitting Senator running for President ever again! That, in and of itself, would be a boon to our nation…and each time some self absorbed cretin got in to office, we’d have five years after he left office to forget about him.

A Coda to the Scandal in the Church

In all of the long and trying events of the Scandal in the Church, the most difficult part for devout Catholics has been to know the truth, but be unable to utter it because the public mind had been propagandized into a particular view. This view is that the Church’s rigidity on sexual matters led to priests being unable to openly express their sexuality and this, in turn, led to the abuse of youngsters and to cap it all off, the Church cynically covered it up because it, as an institution, didn’t want to confront the fact that the Church’s teachings on sex will have to be changed to fit modern mores. This line of thinking has going for it only one thing – the kernel of truth that priests did, indeed, abuse minors. Other than that, it is nonsense from start to finish – and this nonsense is best illustrated by the autobiography of Archbishop Weakland:

It sounds like an over-the-top Tom Wolfe novel: a successor to the apostles conducts an affair with a male graduate student, is accused of “date rape” and emotional harm by said student, and raids the collection basket of the faithful to hush the student up, then, as the bishop settles into a cushy retirement, he pens a “coming out” memoir in praise of homosexual behavior, all the while retaining the canonical rights and privileges of a retired archbishop and receiving pats on the back from fellow clergy.

Alas, this is no racy and risible fiction; it is the real story of Archbishop Rembert Weakland. The retired archbishop of Milwaukee released June 15 his autobiography, A Pilgrim in a Pilgrim Church: Memoirs of a Catholic Archbishop. In it he admits to several affairs with men, crowns himself the first voluntarily “out” bishop, and argues that the Church should endorse the “physical, genital expression” of homosexuality, as he put it to the New York Times in May.

As the article goes on to note, Weakland was the liberal’s liberal Catholic prelate – it was Weakland who was leading the charge to “modernize” the Church and bring it more in tune with, well, Oprah, I guess. It was Weakland who was strong in his condemnation of conservatism’s supposed greed and cruely…and while making such condemnation, Weakland was dipping in to the collection plate to pay hush money to his gay lover. Nothing so strongly illustrates what went wrong than the story of Weakland – a man who allowed himself to be enslaved the world, worked diligently to have others enslaved, caused untold damage to those who refused servitude, and now writes about what a swell guy he is and if only the Church would preach heresy, all would be well.

If you seek for the reason behind the late John Paul II’s insistence upon renewed discipline and orthodoxy, you need look no further: here is the reason. If you wonder why Benedict the XVI is following resolutely in these foot steps: here is the reason. It is only by a return to the most uncompromising orthodoxy that the Church will recover from this scandal. There is rising in the Church what is being called the “John Paul II generation” – young and vigorous priests and religious who are orthodox all down the line and who are starting to take over from the weak, liberal leaders who led the Church into disaster in the two decades immediately following Vatican II – a council, it should be noted, which was twisted out of recognition by liberal bishops such as Weakland; so twisted, indeed, that Weakland and his ilk had it legislating the opposite of what was decreed.

In this Age of Lies, the Rock of Truth may be submerged from time to time, but it remains a Rock, and it is coming back to the surface. It will take a generation for this shame to be washed away – Weakland will soon appear before the judgment seat of God, and I hope he fares well there…but I don’t wish myself ever to be in his shoes, that of a shepherd who led the flock astray.

    Walpin….gate?

    It gets more interesting:

… the news out of Sacramento today may have a bigger ultimate effect in stoking the story. The Acting US Attorney there, Lawrence Brown, confirmed to the Sacramento Bee that the FBI is probing obstruction of justice allegations made by a former executive of St. HOPE, the local non-profit, formerly led by Johnson, that Walpin had been looking into.

Rick Maya, who officially quit last week as St. HOPE’s executive director, claimed in a resignation letter written in April that a member of the St. HOPE’s board deleted Johnson’s emails during Walpin’s investigation into the misuse of funds at the non-profit.

Brown’s office now says it has asked the FBI to look into that allegation.

We might need one of them, thar Independent Counsel thingies to get to the bottom of this – better for Obama and Co to come clean, right now…allow this to fester and it will just get worse.

Democrats Treat Obama’s “No Lobbyist Money” Pledge as the Sick Joke Everyone (other than leftists) Knew it Was

This is among the least surprising news of the day:

President Barack Obama’s strict ban on lobbyist contributions will limit the haul from Thursday night’s fundraising dinner for congressional Democrats, but organizers have found a way around it: a morning-after event at the same hotel where lobbyists — and their money — will be welcomed with open arms.

Invitations for the $5,000-per-person Issues Conference don’t say it’s an effort to skirt Obama’s lobbying ban, but they walk right up to the edge.

“Please note that the Friday Issues Conference is NOT subject to lobbyist restrictions, though the event is intended for personal contributions only,” a finance official from the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee wrote in an e-mail sent to lobbyists Tuesday and obtained by POLITICO, bolding the entire sentence to underscore the clarification. “The Issues Conference is separate from the DSCC/DCCC events with President Obama.”

One prominent Democratic lobbyist unhappy with the situation described it vividly: “It’s almost like the ugly girl that you want to call late at night — but don’t want to be seen with on a date.”

Now, my dear liberals, do understand that any statement by Obama and his Democrats that they will be for the little guy, will fight corruption, will do the right thing – its all utter BS. They don’t mean it. They know you’ll buy it because you are rather weak minded and easily controllable because you lack any sense of intellectual curiosity – here’s your chance to break free! You can realize that you’ve been conned! You can try independent thought! Honest – it only hurts the first time you do it.

Walpin: Obama Explanation a “Total Lie”

I really, genuinely hope that this doesn’t turn out the way it currently looks – we don’t need a Watergate sort of scandal given all the other trouble we have:

The government watchdog President Obama canned for allegedly being “confused” and “disoriented” fired back sharply Wednesday, saying the White House explanation for removing him was “insufficient,” “baseless” and “absolutely wild.”

Gerald Walpin, who until last week was the inspector general for the Corporation for National and Community Service, told FOXNews.com that part of Obama’s explanation was a “total lie” and that he feels he’s got a target on his back for political reasons.

“I am now the target of the most powerful man in this country, with an army of aides whose major responsibility today seems to be to attack me and get rid of me,” Walpin said.

Facing bipartisan criticism for the firing, Obama sought to allay congressional concerns with a letter to Senate leaders Tuesday evening explaining his decision. In the letter, White House Special Counsel Norman Eisen wrote that Walpin was “confused” and “disoriented” at a May board meeting, was “unduly disruptive,” and exhibited a “lack of candor” in providing information to decision makers.

“That’s a total lie,” Walpin said of the latter charge. And he said the accusation that he was dazed and confused at one meeting out of many was not only false, but poor rationale for his ouster.

As was said in that ill-famed scandal, its not the crime, but the cover up which is the problem. It is almost a certainty that President Obama did not say “give special treatment to so-and-so” – but Walpin says that one of Obama’s people got special treatment, and now Walpin is out. It certainly is a curious thing that the man who found irregularity is out and being slammed by Obama Administration officials – the real problem would come in if what Walpin discovered is a criminal offense and if Obama, himself, signed off on efforts to cover up the scandal.

The really bad news is that with Democrats in charge of the House and Senate, there will be no real investigation in to this matter. Even if public pressure forces a Congressional committee to hold hearings, the facts of life about Democrats make it a near certainty that it would be a white wash…and that means the problem will fester, and perhaps have crime piled on crime to keep the truth from coming out…until such time as GOPers are running Congress and are thus able to conduct a genuine investigation.

I hope someone will hand Obama a copy of All The President’s Men – it might be the most useful book Obama could read in 2009.

Politico Suprised That Spendulus Winds up as Pork

    The story:

It became a sort of poster child for fiscal responsibility — a clean-coal power plant in Illinois that was one of then-Sen. Barack Obama’s pet projects.

Democrats insisted they were so serious about keeping pork out of the stimulus bill that it was President Obama himself who blocked the FutureGen project from the massive spending package.

“It shows that we’re serious about it,” Brendan Daly, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s spokesman, said at the time. “The speaker said it, and the president said it: There will not be earmarks in this bill.”

Earmarks? Perhaps not. But funding for FutureGen? Absolutely, to the tune of $1 billion.

What I noted on passage of the Spendulus:

…In the end, of course, no one knows what is in the bill – not really; it will end up being some low-level bureaucrats and Administration officials who will really decide how the money is spent, and they’ll spend it with a mind towards their future prospects for advancement. The only thing we can be sure about is that a lot of money will be spent…

So, what we have here is proof that no one knew or knows what is in the bill and thus whomever has pull can find whatever he wishes in it…including Obama allowing pork spending on something he said he wouldn’t allow pork spending on. You liberals signed on for this BS and you were warned – we told you that you were being taken for a ride and that the Powers That Be were merely using the financial crisis to feather their nests and reward their friends. But, no, you had to think that The One was different…you utter fools! He’s from Chicago, for crying out loud – name me the honest politician who has ever come out of there.

You don’t have to be an intrepid reporter – all you have to know is the nature liberal Democrats; given this, we can be certain that the money will be spent in a manner which liberal Democrats believe best serves their immediate political needs. It doesn’t matter what they say, doesn’t matter what the law says – nothing matters to liberal Democratic leaders other than winning and retaining power. I knew this sort of thing was going to happen, I said it would happen, and its happened – and it will keep happening until GOPers gain authority to start investigations.

And this time, boys and girls, no holding back – we get the power, we should start sending crooks to jail.

    Obama Fires Government Watchdog

Because, it would seem, said watchdog was digging up dirt on Obama supporters:

An inspector general fired by President Barack Obama said Friday he acted “with the highest integrity” in investigating AmeriCorps and other government-funded national service programs. Gerald Walpin said in an interview with The Associated Press that he reported facts and conclusions “in an honest and full way” while serving as inspector general at the Corporation for National and Community Service.

In a letter to Congress on Thursday, Obama said he had lost confidence in Walpin and was removing him from the position.

Walpin defended his work on Friday. “I know that I and my office acted with the highest integrity as an independent inspector general should act,” he said.

Obama’s move follows an investigation by Walpin finding misuse of federal grants by a nonprofit education group led by Sacramento Mayor Kevin Johnson, who is an Obama supporter and former NBA basketball star. Johnson and a nonprofit education academy he founded ultimately agree to repay half of $847,000 in grants it had received from AmeriCorps.

If George Bush were President, our liberal friends would be calling for impeachment – watch them swallow this and then ask for more. Hope and change my eye – Obama is just another in a long line of corrupt, liberal Democrats protecting his own against punishment.

President Soaks the Taxpayer to Raise Partisan Funds

Perhaps, Barry, you can lay off a bit on the fundraising while we’re stuck in the worst financial crisis in 75 years?

President Obama has the star power to raise millions of dollars for the candidates and organizations he graces with his stump speech.

But when the president hit the road Tuesday for a two-day fundraising tour to pack the party coffers, he also was racking up a $265,000 partisan bill for just one leg of the trip, according to a watchdog group — part of which taxpayers, regardless of party affiliation, will have to pay.

The White House is some pretty swell digs, ya know? Maybe you can stick around the place and attend to the nation’s business?

    Just a thought…

The Bad News: Its a Democrat Investigating Democrat Corruption

    From NRO’s Campaign Spot:

Why Would We Suspect Democrats of Pressuring an Attorney General to Back Off?

A revealing question, and a reassuring answer (if it’s the truth), asked by BusinessWeek to New York attorney general Andrew Cuomo:

    Q. There are stories saying the pay-to-play scandal may be expanding beyond New York State, and Democrats elsewhere may be involved. Are you feeling any heat from within the Democratic Party to back off?

Cuomo: No. To be clear . . . no one is above the law.

Of course, if Cuomo was feeling heat from Democrats to back off, it’s not clear he would tell BusinessWeek about it.

Now, if Cuomo actually goes forward fearlessly against all Democrats involved, that would be great. It would also be a first: the rule, for Democrats, is that scandals involving Democrats are to be ignored, covered up or as limited as possible. Or do you think that Blagojevich is the only corrupt Democrat in Illinois?

Pressure Mounting Against Democrats in PMA Scandal

More news from the most ethical Congress, ever:

Democracy 21 and other good-government groups are expected to ask the House ethics committee next week for an investigation into lawmakers with close ties to defunct lobbying firm PMA Group, Democracy 21 President Fred Wertheimer said on Friday.

The request will seek a probe into whether the millions of dollars in campaign contributions the firm generated for favored Members of Congress influenced the tens of millions of dollars in earmarks those lawmakers secured for PMA clients.

Outside groups are barred from filing complaints with the ethics committee, but the panel can initiate probes on its own and the request is sure to pile political pressure on an already strained House Democratic leadership team.

Democratic leaders have remained in a defensive crouch in the wake of reports that federal investigators are probing the earmark empire of Rep. John Murtha (D-Pa.), the defense-spending chief in the House and a close confidant of Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.).

But that position is becoming increasingly difficult to maintain. Since news broke in February that federal agents raided the offices of the PMA Group and the home of its founder, former House Appropriations Subcommittee on Defense aide Paul Magliocchetti, Rep. Jeff Flake (R-Ariz.) has kept the issue front and center by calling votes on whether to force an ethics probe. His first attempt gathered 17 votes from the majority party, but Democratic defections on subsequent votes have mounted, reaching 27 on his seventh and latest attempt before the spring recess.

Remember back in 2006 how Her Majesty, Nancy I and her Democrats were running against an alleged GOP “culture of corruption”? Well, that wasn’t really the case, now was it? I mean, if we’ve got a Speaker so divorced from morality that she’ll claim to be shocked about interrogation techniques she was briefed about years ago, just where would she draw the line? Certainly not a Murtha’s various scandals.

It is good to keep in mind that one of the things Matt and I discovered about Nancy Pelosi is that she learned very early on that political corruption pays. In the very first campaign she was involved in, she illegally failed to report some printing work by a union as an in-kind donation – the work was worth something like $90,000; the fine for not reporting the work was $7,000. Nancy was $83,000 to the good and she’s never looked back (and you can read all about her in Caucus of Corruption). She got into politics to be a mean, bitter attack-dog against Republicans; she rose in politics via corruption (including the use of illegal PACs to engineer her rise to Minority Leader after the 2002 elections) and she runs the House just as one would expect a corrupt, partisan hack would.

We’ll have to see if anything comes of this – no one thought the House “check kiting” scandal would lead to much. Certainly, the Democrats never did, but it played a large role in their defeat in 1994. Pelosi can’t clean house – she’d have to start with herself. So, look for Democrats to attempt to smear GOPers and just confuse the issue any way they can in hopes of turning people off to politics…make it seem, that is, like both Democrats and Republicans are hip deep in this stuff and hope that independents sit 2010 out in a “pox on both your houses” fit. Our job is to keep it front and center – not because it helps the GOP, but because until Democrats are held to account, we’ll never get politics cleaned up.

The GOP house has been cleaned up – our corrupt members are gone and we’ve learned our lesson, at least for a while. It is time for Democrats to learn theirs.

    Yet More Democrat Corruption

This is the Hope and Change we got:

A top city official says City Council President Monica Conyers pulled strings to get her brother, an ex-con with a violent record, a job in the building department that was to last only 120 days but was extended for two years.

“She came up to me, handed me his resume and said ‘You should hire him. He’s a good guy,’ ” said Amru Meah, director of Building & Safety Engineering.

Reggie Esters, 38, was fired from the $30,500 job last summer on claims of chronic absenteeism. About the same time, he was charged with 10 felonies stemming from allegations he brandished a shotgun at two people, according to court records. He pleaded guilty to one count and faces sentencing April 17.

Records obtained this week by The Detroit News show Esters submitted a resume showing he worked continuously for two construction firms from 1999 to 2006. State records show he was incarcerated for assault and weapons charges for much of that time.

Meah said Conyers wanted her brother hired as a $50,000 inspector, but he wasn’t qualified and wouldn’t pass a license exam. Instead, he was hired as an investigator who checked if businesses are properly licensed.

Conyers, whose maiden name is Esters, said Meah is wrong. She denied that Esters is her brother, despite papers filed in Wayne County Probate Court in 1976 that identify them as siblings with the same parents, Robert H. and Alice Esters.

“I have no idea what Mr. Meah is talking about,” Conyers said.

Calls to Marlon Evans, Esters’ attorney, were not returned.

The city has no rules against hiring felons and Meah said he didn’t know of Esters’ record until a reporter told him about it Thursday.

“Human Resources is supposed to check that,” he said.

Mrs Conyers is the wife of Representative John Conyers (D-MI), who is Chairman of the House Judiciary committee – you know, the people’s watch dog for Justice in the United States. Conyers is also the guy who was leading the charge to impeach President Bush.

Ok, Democrats – I’m waiting for you to call for Conyers immediate resignation because you know darned well that if this were a GOP House member who’s wife had got her felon brother a job, you’d be demanding the GOPers head on a platter.

    Corrupt Lobbyists Protected by Democrats

And I defy anyone to say they are surprised about this:

Even as news of the investigation into mega-lobby firm PMA Group grows, Democrats are fighting efforts to check the tarnished group’s influence.

The FBI raided PMA’s offices last November, as well as the stately exurban mcMansion belonging to the firm’s founder, Paul Magliocchetti. The probe appears to center on suspected phony campaign donations tied to the group. (A spokesman for the group declined to comment.)

In what could politely be described as a rearguard action, Democratic lawmakers have defeated an effort to start a congressional ethics investigation into the firm.

Why are Democrats being so brazen?

    1. Because Democrats know that their own people are too servile and incurious to hold them to account.

    2. Democrats believe they have a lock on power for another 60 years, and thus only have to please their own servile and incurious people.

Its already quite toxic in DC these days – everything is for sale and no one is calling the corrupt to account. Obama’s talk of honesty is long been proven the most laughable of lies; its got so bad in the Administration, with tax cheat after tax cheat being nominated, that its clear Obama never for a minute intended to conduct the nation’s business honestly. As for Pelosi’s long-forgotten pledge for the most ethical Congress, one might as well pine for the Moon as expect that to happen.

We’ll have to see if Democrats are right about their immunity – with their attempts to silence the critics, they might be able to make it happen. Personally, I don’t think they will be able to do so, but anything is possible with people this corrupt.

    Regarding Fascism

In relatively recent years, the left have more or less made a cottage industry out of labelling conservatives “fascists.”

But let’s take a close look at a key component of the definition of fascism of the economic sense, shall we? Specifically, as fascism defined as government and business intertwined so as to make them inseparable, to wit:

Fascists considered the economy to be of little importance, and did not have clear economic views. One significant fascist economic belief was that prosperity would naturally follow once the nation has achieved a cultural and spiritual re-awakening.[16] Often, different members of a fascist party would make completely opposite statements about the economic policies they supported.[17] Once in power, fascists usually adopted whatever economic program they believed to be most suitable for their political goals

Okay, let’s begin to break this down. First,

One significant fascist economic belief was that prosperity would naturally follow once the nation has achieved a cultural and spiritual awakening.

A cultural and spiritual awakening…is this why the agenda media were willing to overlook and/or gave short shrift to many of the Obama scandals, from his friendships with Tony Rezko, Rev. Wright and William Ayers, to the flak over his birth certificate? Is this illustrative of the near messianic esteem in which the masses held their lord and savior, Lord Voldemort Obama?

Let’s go on, shall we? Read the rest of this entry »

    Obama’s Wall of Shame

Today brings the total to three Obama nominees who have had to withdraw their names from consideration due to scandals. Today’s newbies to the Wall of Shame are Tom Daschle and Nancy Killefer.

It seems like most (if not all) of Obama’s nominees have been tainted in someway. It certainly destroys Obama’s claim that what he lacks in experience he makes up for in judgment.

So I guess that leaves us with a president who has zero experience and really poor judgment.

    Obama’s Ties to Richardson Scandal

Well, Democrats, you went and ignored the massive illegal fundraising in the Obama effort, and look where its getting you:

President-elect Barack Obama took big money from a man at the center of a federal probe that has forced one of Obama’s top Cabinet picks to withdraw.

Financial records show the Obama campaign got more than $30,000 from California financier David Rubin, the target of an investigation into donations and possible “pay-to-play” deals involving New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson, Obama’s pick for commerce secretary.

Now, we can figure that Rubin was doing “pay for play” with Richardson, but only giving money to Obama because Obama is just a swell hope-n-change kinda guy, or we can presume that Rubin was figuring on cashing in during the Obama Administration. Which do you think it is?

Ah, what tangled webs we weave when first we practice to deceive.

Had you liberals been a little more interested in, you know?, the safety and well being of the United States, you might have paid some mind to the fact that The One was awash in a sea of illegal campaign money…that, in fact, his storied fame as the recipient of the little guy donations was just so much BS, much as the whole Obama narrative would qualify as a fairytale, if it were a bit more believable. Rubin was just chucking some money into the Obama kitty – buying a seat at the table, as were so many other fat cats out there.

This is the key to the future of our nation – that you liberals start holding your side accountable. We conservatives have done it with our side. Our tainted members are out – and if any more arise we’ll give them the boot, too. But yours are in, and staying in…and there’s no reason for people like Rubin to think other than “business as usual” because you liberals have shown, again and again, that the only thing you care about is that the guy with a “D” after his name wins. You need to wake up from your liberal stupor and start realizing that the good of your nation requires you to hammer harder on your own than you do on the other side.

Or, you can just smugly assume that everything is fine…and we’ll see you in 2010. Your choice.

What are we to make of a man who betrays trust, leaks information to the media anonymously and then hides his identity until late in life when, seemingly, he and/or his family felt the need to cash in on his skulduggery? I can’t speak for all, of course, but speaking for myself I say this – if anyone in government believes his superior is violating the law, then it is his or her moral duty to report it to the proper authorities and be willing to state in public what they know. Failure to do this is cowardice.
