Team Biden will release all available vaccine doses right away. This is a change from Trump which is holding some back to ensure people get their second shot. The possible benefit: more people gain immunity faster. Possible downfall: not enough people go for the second dose and thus immunity only lasts a short time. Personally, it is probably six of one, half dozen of the other. My guess is that the change is so that they can merely do something different from Trump.

Now, to be sure, this is one issue which can unite the various elements of the GOP and lead to severe punishment of the Democrats in 2022. But I don’t think they can help themselves.

I hope so. I think that’s probably the line in the sand for more Americans than any other single freedom. If the Left is stupid enough to do that, they might as well shoot themselves in the head and save us the ammo.
How many of you have been accused of whataboutism whenever you’ve compared things that Trump has done, said, tweeted or simply been accused of to something that someone on the Left has done? Kurt Schlichter has the best response I’ve seen to such accusations.

Yet supposedly more than 50% of voters voted against the man committed to reducing the deficit through calculated and targeted tariff rules and stimulating the economy by reducing regulations while at the same time lowering taxes, and voted for the man who ran on increasing taxes (including corporate taxes) and reinstating economy-busting regulations while at the same time taking on 11 million to 20 million illegal aliens so they can be put on the government teat and moving health insurance costs to the government.

When (the Green New Deal) was first unrolled, congressional Republicans threw out an exaggerated figure — $93 trillion — which discouraged many from supporting the Green New Deal. In actuality, it could cost anywhere from about $50 trillion to $90 trillion.
It depends on the plan for healthcare stipulated in the proposal. Many assume it includes Sen. Bernie Sanders’ Medicare for All, which would add about $36 trillion to the cost, but the Green New Deal doesn’t mention Medicare for All. It merely states that healthcare should be high quality and provided to every American.
Excluding the healthcare section of the bill, the U.S. is looking at about $50 trillion over 10 years to solve the climate crisis.
How would we pay for it?
Fifty trillion dollars is, no doubt, a gargantuan amount of money.
There are options, however, that could help fund this necessary deal. The brunt of the sum would most likely be financed through expanding on national debt and issuing bonds.
(Hint: Bonds are government debt.)
What I said about “none of us is as dumb as all of us” and “never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups” is proved, once again, to sum up the odd herd behavior of about half of the country.

Gee, I dunno. I guess we should just forget the arc of tyrannical censorship and government control the last time Germany got this kind of idea, and where it ended up. It took till November of 1989 to finally end that kind of government domination and the Thought Police of the SS and the Stasi.

I’ve been researching the timeline of the January 6th rally following a caller to Rush who said he and his wife left Trump’s speech early to walk to the Capitol and that the mob was already there. There are conflicting reports about when Trump’s speech began and ended. I should have grabbed some screen shots 5 days ago, because I’ll bet that most reports have been edited to try to make the timeline fit.
Best estimate seems to be that Trump’s speech began just before noon. There are several reports that he started late. The transcript of his speech that I posted in a previous thread) indicated that he spoke for an hour and thirteen minutes but doesn’t give actual time of day. He probably finished a few minutes after 1PM. Most reports put the time the mob began storming the Capitol at around 1PM. My wife and I walked from the Vietnam Memorial to the Capitol following the Glenn Beck Restoring Honor Rally in 2010, and it took about half an hour. Trump spoke at the Ellipse, which is about two thirds of the way from the Capitol to the Vietnam Memorial, so it’s not unreasonable to assume that most people who left after Trump’s speech and walked to the Capitol didn’t get there until the assault was well under way. Gonna be tough to prove that Trump’s speech incited the violence at the Capitol. My guess is that, should the Dems be stupid enough to actually follow through with another impeachment, there will be many time-stamped videos provided to show that his speech had nothing to do with the storming of the Capitol. And, of course, there’s the speech itself. All you have to do is read it.
That time line is crucial. I didn’t think of it. I also read reports that his speech started later than had been announced. Certainly an assault on the Capitol that started before his speech ended and before the people who heard his speech could not have been sparked by what he said.
Of course, what he said could not have sparked violence even in people who incline toward violent reactions, much less the peaceful and law-abiding vast majority of Trump supporters.
I’ve become a Michael Knowles fan after hearing him on the Ted Cruz podcast, “Verdict”. He has a great podcast of his own and I just saw an idea he put out there:
The Republican-controlled Senate should censure or better yet expel Kamala Harris for providing encouragement and material support to the violent BLM insurrectionists who burned police stations, government buildings, and businesses from coast to coast throughout 2020.
It could never happen, not with whimpering squishes like Romney and Sasse, but it would be a thing of beauty. At least a motion to censure would provide a platform for publicizing her support for and encouragement of the 2020 riots, which certainly met the standards of the Insurrection Act.

A caller to our local AM drive time talk show that comes on after Rush posed something that I hadn’t thought of WRT impeachment. If it goes as far as a trial (not a chance of a snowball in hell IMO), Trump’s legal team will be able to present all the evidence of electoral malfeasance, which is the REAL reason behind the rage on the part of Trump supporters. That would be poetic justice, indeed.
This is the same “tiger by the tail” conundrum facing the Dominion lawsuit, and why I think it is all just empty posturing. The goal is never to get anything in front of any kind of formal hearing, with sworn witnesses and evidence. The goal is just to screech, at top volume, invented “reasons” for the pretend legal action, to establish in weak minds the perception that there is a real crime involved and pull a few Republican squishes into their slipstream, only to have it all fade away when push comes to shove.
Another thing I just thought of: if Pelosi thinks they can impeach Trump after he’s left office, why would she give him the option of resigning or being impeached?

This is exactly how a lot of conspiracy theories start. Someone notices something fairly innocuous that they’ve never noticed before, a strange looking aircraft, an entire train of nothing but black tank cars, a train loaded with military vehicles, a convoy of military vehicles (probably National Guard or Army Reserve headed to annual two week training.) The secret is to wait a bit and see if something develops, and it virtually NEVER does.
That said, my gut tells me, if you think 2020 was a strange year, just wait to see what unfolds in 2021. Buckle up!

I just find it hard to trust someone supposedly the “good guys” but participating in an event that led to death.

Now, instead of just trying to purge Congress of anyone who ever voiced support for the Constitutional method of dealing with a questioned election they have moved on to claiming these people are also a danger to the nation because they were, along with some Capitol police and other officials, part of a cabal intending to BRING DOWN THE GOVERNMENT AND ASSASSINATE DEMOCRAT MEMBERS OF CONGRESS. Yes, now they are howling that members of Congress should have to go through metal detectors to make sure they are not armed when they attend the inauguration.

One topic of discussion was the need to put every member of Congress through a metal detector before the inauguration. A member on the call told HuffPost that there was an “eyes-wide-open realization” that Capitol Police needed to take precautions against “all these members who were in league with the insurrectionists who love to carry their guns.”
“You can’t just let them bypass security and walk right up to [Joe] Biden and [Kamala] Harris at inauguration,” this lawmaker told HuffPost.
The logical arc of this escalation is to formally accuse Trump of treason, then to formally accuse any member of Congress who agreed the election results needed to be investigated of being part of a sinister plot to overthrow the government and also charge them with the same “crime”. Anyone who doesn’t understand that the goal is not to simply assume the mantle of power in DC but to actually have political opponents locked up and fighting for their very lives is simply not paying attention.
It’s hard to use the word “funny” to describe anything this sinister and dangerous, but you have to admit, it is pretty funny to see the side that sneers at any revelation of anything contradictory to the Leftist narrative as a “conspiracy theory” then cooking up, selling and adopting a conspiracy theory as wild and baseless as this one.
Also, I found the claim that a goal of the terrifying deadly dangerous ominous lethal rioters (the same ones taking selfies with police) was to “surround … the Supreme Court, simply to shut down the courts. ” Yeah, except the Court was not in session, no justices were there, and surrounding an essentially empty building where nothing is going on is not exactly a plan for much of anything. But I’ll bet focus groups indicated that this would play well to the base.

Schumer’s office, according to Waleed Shahid, a spokesperson for #AllofUs, the group that staged the sit-in.
I wonder if the nation recoiled in horror and fear that this showed an intent to overthrow the government. when at least 40 protesters occupied Sen. Schumer’s office. Did states have to initiate trauma counseling to help people deal with the horror? After all, this was part of nationwide anti-Trump violence, not just an isolated single event centered on support for a Constitutional process.

The corporatist merger of “private” US social media companies with US government foreign policy goals has a long history and is deeply steeped in the hyper-interventionism of the Obama/Biden era.
“Big Tech” long ago partnered with the Obama/Biden/Clinton State Department to lend their tools to US “soft power” goals overseas. It seems obvious that Republicans in general, not just those with the temerity to support Constitutional means of addressing questions about the legitimacy of an election, are really the problem in this country. I think all we can do now is wait to see what form the Leftists’ “reeducation” policies will taken, aside from the imprisonment of members of Congress who supported the Constitutional process.
You know, there are tours of the Stasi Prison in Berlin, Germany, built specifically to house and punish Wrongthink—maybe the spring term of Congress should include a Congressional trip to check it out, maybe pick up some ideas on how the old Soviets dealt with free speech to figure out how the new Soviets can address it.

As most who have followed this blog for any length of time know, I’ve been a member of Oath Keepers since 2010. For those of you who don’t know, Oath Keepers is a national organization of present, former and retired military and first responders, dedicated to community preparedness and constitutional awareness. Oath Keepers is a strong supporter of constitutional government and the rule of law. We are not an anti-government fringe group.
I got the following email from the organization earlier this afternoon:
I’m not exactly sure how the Left expects people who take their constitutional oath seriously to react to this purge. I suspect they’re hoping we do something stupid. Reacting to the stupidity the Left has already exhibited with more stupidity would be, well, stupid. The vast majority of us have been calm and kept our power dry since Obama’s first year in office, sincerely believing that the guys in the white hats would win. When many on the Left boasted that they would do whatever it takes to win, we should have taken them at their word.
It would be interesting to see 75 million people just….disappear. Stop posting on social media, definitely stop gathering in support groups, just drop off the radar. Keep communicating in cells, through email and texts—these could still be intercepted by the New American Stasi, but they wouldn’t be on public forums. Let the Thought Police twitch a little wondering what is going on, while we intensely lobby our state and local GOPs but steadfastly refuse to give the Left any more opportunities to use our actions against us.
In a year or so, come back in a renewed version of the TEA Party, as a powerful political voice that tells the GOP how it will act if it wants our votes. And then when rallies take place, have designated videographers to record infiltrations.
I don’t mean shut up, though. One venue I have thought of as a way to get our message out is cable television, the channels that feature shopping and so on. I have noticed that my local TV station now has a lot of these paid shows till they get to prime time, and this kind of venue would allow for the kind of detailed information we need to get out there. If Glenn Beck can get his act together, he probably still has his TV or movie studio that could cut production costs, and I can think of several entertainment professionals who could put together really professional and entertaining half hour episodes covering the information we need to get out there. I am not sure how much power Big Tech has over the cable TV independents. The Daily Wire podcasts have mentioned moving into media productions.

The even put their lie in quotes. The word “fight” or “fighting” appear 23 times in the speech transcript, including chants from the crowd, but not in connection with the admonition to march to the capitol.
I think we are seeing the resurfacing of Glenn Beck’s old anti-Trump animus, just as we saw Liz Cheney jumping on the chance to wallow in her irrational Trump hatred. The people I talked to in Wyoming last week were already pretty upset with her, and I think this latest antic of hers has really ticked them off. I’m going back up tomorrow for a few days and am sure there will be a lot of talk about getting rid of her. I know I have contacted the state GOP and asked if they had already started to look for someone to primary her.
I come back to a binary choice of how to view people like this: Truly lacking in the intellectual ability to understand what is said, depending instead on emotion to filter it and morph it into something that fits their biases, or purposeful liars for any reasons. In any case, these are not people I respect, or want representing me in Congress.
Liz has evidently forgotten that the Left she is sucking up to now is the same Left that tried to impeach Bush when Daddy Cheney was Vice President, calling both of them war criminals. You would think that being on the receiving end of outrageous unhinged hate speech would make one hesitant to engage in it herself, but I guess not.
I have a couple questions for any constitutional scholars here. The Constitution says the following:
The electors shall meet in their respective states, and vote by ballot for two persons, of whom one shall not be an inhabitant of the same state as themselves. And they shall make a list of all the persons voted for, and of the number of votes for each; which list they shall sign and certify, and transmit to the seat of the government of the United States, directed to the President of the Senate. The President of the Senate (Vice President Pence) shall, in the presence of the Senate and the House of Representatives, open all the certificates, and the votes shall then be counted.”
Seven States sent two slates of electors. Vice President Pence maintained that the Constitution does not give him the power to do anything but open the envelopes.
My question are, did he open ALL the envelopes, or only the ones containing votes for Biden and were only the electoral votes for Biden actually certified by the respective state legislatures? Actually a third question; if only the votes for Biden were certified, why did 7 states send non-certified votes for Trump?
I’ve not seen a good explanation of the mechanics behind how this all transpired.
You know I have been a Pence supporter since back before he was even governor of Indiana. I tried to defend his position last week, but it is very hard to maintain respect for him.
While on the face of it the wording that he had to count the ballots in the envelopes gave him, he claimed, no choice but to do just that, but the Constitution did not require him to accept and promote a fraud. I am not talking about the fraud of the election, but the fraud of “certifying” votes after being presented with proof that it was impossible to know who got how many votes in states were there was no question that dead people voted, non residents voted, and people voted more than once. Falsely certifying that the official vote count was true and accurate was a crime committed by those who did it, and the Vice President became complicit in those felonies.
In doing so he violated his oath to defend and protect the Constitution, which established a mechanism to address allegations of electoral fraud, which he made impossible by his actions.
Sorry, but the more I think of it the more I think what he did reeks of cowardice.
I am not taking sides here except Pence has taken a giant fall in my book of respect. Okay, I understand his position which is mostly ceremonial but when it comes to States that have sent a slate of opposing electors–which did he choose and why did he not announce both?
I mean if they announce ‘Arizona’ and I hold two different packages of electors. It is also not my job, so to speak, to decide which one is correct but have the both entered. At least that is my take.

I tend to agree, and I’ve always liked Mike Pence. I travelled back and forth from Fort Wayne to Indianapolis once a month or so throughout most of the 90’s, and I used to listen to his talk radio show which he hosted from ’94 to ’99 before he was elected to Congress. He was a decent Governor of Indiana, mostly continuing the policies of his predecessor, Mitch Daniels, who brought the state from deep in the red to a surplus. Up until the moment of opening the electoral certificates, Trump had had no stronger ally than Mike Pence. If there had not been alternate slates of electors from Georgia, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, Nevada, Arizona and New Mexico, I could see how it was not his place to reject the certificates. It seems to me that those 7 states provided him with the perfect out to say there were conflicting certificates that could only be reconciled by the legislatures of the states in question. The only other option would have been for the congressmen counting the votes to count ALL the votes, and the alternate slates of electors would cancel each other out for those 7 states. Instead Pence just punted.

An entire flight on an airplane was landed and asked to debark because they were singing the national anthem and it goes on and on. That was today–can hardly wait to see what tomorrow brings. I did get a kick out of your stream of consciousness rambling. As for the gerbil: In Peru the Incas used guinea pigs as a major source of protein and I understand they just gutted them and tossed them in the fire. The fire burned off the hair and left a nice crispy skin holding juicy meat. Spatchcocking is just overkill—as the British would say, “overegging the pudding”. But if you’ve got to get creative I’d go with something citrusy, like a piccata treatment.

I’m wondering why no Republican Attorney General has filed felony charges against whoever in his or her state falsely certified uncertifiable vote counts. Well, not really wondering—-courage is in awfully short supply these days. But their constituents ought to be pressuring them to do this.

Beller says some incendiary things. “Even if Biden wins,” he says, “We go for all the Republican voters, and Homeland Security will take their children away. And we’ll put them (Trump supporters’ children) in re-education camps.” He goes into some ridiculous hyperbole, comparing President Donald Trump to Hitler. Beller describes what the “enlightenment camps” would be like – kids watching Sesame Street and PBS all day. Of course, let the indoctrination begin early. All paid for by we the taxpayers.
Beller then goes to say what he would do if “we” don’t win. He doesn’t even have to ask, he knows “we” means Biden. He says “Go to the White House and throw Molotov cocktails.” Is there anyone who doubts that if Trump had been declared the winner that the left would have had a violent tantrum the likes of which we have never seen? Indeed we already saw the violence from the attacks on Washington, D.C. during the inauguration of Trump in 2017. You know those attacks that were never called a coup or an insurrection.
Beller then insults Americans, describing them as “so f***ing dumb.” “Most people are dumb,” he claimed. Of course, not him or his elite buddies in Washington, D.C. where they are “educated and know stuff” as opposed to one of those other towns and states where people are just stupid.
Beller rejoices over Wuhan virus spikes in the red states, saying it’s a great thing because then a lot of those people wouldn’t come out and vote for Trump or that a lot of those folks (Trump Supporters) would be sick and dying. Unreal, he’s celebrating the possible deaths of Americans.
No, it is only too real. He is not the first Leftist to yearn for the deaths of conservatives. They keep telling us what they want to do to us—we have to listen
I’m hardly ever wrong (heh), but I made an egregious error the other day when I accused Alan Dershowitz of not knowing the wording of the Constitution WRT impeachment. He made a statement on one of the Fox opinion shows to the effect that the Constitution say “the President” shall be removed upon conviction by the senate following an impeachment by the House. He was referring to the last paragraph in Article II (Executive Power) that says this:

Dumb mistake on my part. I should have checked to see if impeachment was covered more than once in the Constitution.
I’ve noticed the shift in language, regarding the event of January 6, to words like “insurrection” and “coup” and the claim its intent was to “overthrow the government”. This wording, especially “insurrection” has allowed them to then demand of the Pentagon that any military personnel who chose to exhibit their commitment to the Constitution by attending the rally be punished.
The complaint tend to start off with complaining about military, including retired military, being involved in the violence, then sliding off a little to just being in the Capitol, then all the way to attending the rally.
I think if they keep pushing this, it will end up in court where there will be testimony that some people, at least, believed they were allowed into the building by official Capitol police (who are also under attack).
The most alarming thing about this is the effort, evidently gaining traction, to recast this relatively minor escalation of a demonstration into limited violence as a real, serious, uprising and effort to overturn our very government by force. I find that very sinister because it is coming from members of Congress as well as the media. This is the mechanism by which our liberty can be taken away from us, under the color of defense of the nation.
Rowdiness is not sedition. When it reaches a certain level it is wrong and it should be punished, but it is not insurrection. The woman who was shot was not killed by a “rioter” but by a Capitol police officer, and she was not engaged in violence at the time. Rather, other officers stood by and watched her try to crawl through a window. Supposedly an officer was beaten, but no one knows who did it. The officer who died, died later and may have had a medical condition leading to his death. Another officer committed suicide. But to hear the drumbeat of anti-Trump propaganda these people were killed by a mob intent on overthrowing the government.
This is getting very scary. I see it as a combination of eliminating Trump support and intimidating people into fear of standing up for what they believe is right.
The sedition I see is coming from members of Congress who are actively promoting lies and hysteria to try to remove a political opponent as well as to try to silence an opposition movement.
I think Liz Cheney is unlikely to return to Congress in two years. Last week, before this latest antic of hers, people were pretty ticked off at her. I’ll be talking to some of them tomorrow and I am sure “ticked off” has escalated into outrage. Last night I got a text from someone saying he would never vote for her again. Yesterday I wrote to the Wyoming GOP telling them they had better line up a good candidate to primary her, and that whoever they pick is going to have a lot of support.
I imagine that a lot of the alleged support from GOP members is based on being caught up in the hysteria and thinking they had better get on board that train, but when cooler heads prevail and facts come out (if they are allowed to, under the iron fist of the New American Stasi, they will find themselves scrambling to hold onto their offices.

I made the comment a few days ago that I’m at an awkward age (76 next Monday) to be heading into whatever is coming; too young to give up and too old to fight. But a United Soviet States of Amerika or the Chinese equivalent is something I would fight with every fiber of my being, and I suspect millions of people my age would join me. I can’t imagine a better way to go out than fighting for freedom.

In the book, this is about China working to destabilize Taiwan preparatory to taking it over, but this is the Communist playbook. It is what they do, and have done, all over the world. It would not work in an educated society where free speech ensures that people have access to information other than what is fed to them by their masters. It would not be working as well as it is right now in the United States if we had an educated populace, and if our legislative “leaders” had a scintilla of knowledge about history and true politics. I don’t mean the politics of how to get elected or how to keep a cushy seat in the government, I mean politics in the sense of the structures of different political models and their history.
I don’t have a problem thinking that someone as ignorant as Tammy Duckworth simply has no idea of the nature of the system she is now actively advocating and supporting. But she served in the military, which one might think would have given her not just a clue about our adversaries but a commitment to our Constitution.
But at this point it really doesn’t matter if our members of Congress are actively, knowingly, purposely subverting our Constitution and rule of law, or if they are just so utterly clueless they actually believe the propaganda fed to them. What matters now is that they are actively contributing to the downfall of the Republic. They are actively, eagerly complicit in undermining the basic principles upon which this nation was founded and the codified rule of law intended to preserve it.
If any of them can hear and read the actual words of President Trump and still believe what they are saying about those words they simply lack the intellectual capacity to be members of our legislative body or have any authority whatsoever.

On Jan. 6, 2021, a right-wing mob** of a few hundred people broke away from a peaceful right-wing protest involving tens, if not hundreds, of thousands of American conservatives and forced its way into the U.S. Capitol. One Capitol policeman was killed after being hit in the head with a fire extinguisher,*** and one of the right-wing Capitol invaders was shot by a Capitol police officer. (A handful of others who died in the vicinity of the Capitol did so of nonviolent causes.) Aside from smashed windows, the mob seems to have done little damage to the Capitol. Their intent is still not clear. It seems to have been largely catharsis. They hurt no legislators, and if they intended to overthrow the government, they were delusional.
Beginning the next day, the American left used the Capitol mob just as the Nazis used the Reichstag: as an excuse to subjugate its conservative enemies and further squelch civil liberties in America — specifically, freedom of speech.

Prager’s point is that this carefully orchestrated event, which has been blown up by the Agenda Media and rabid Leftists in Congress as a full-fledged riot, follows the pattern of fascists and other Leftist radicals in their efforts to take over governments.
What the left is doing is announcing — and enforcing — that conservatives “do not belong” in our society. The parallels to 1933 are precise. And most good Americans are keeping silent, just as did most Germans. Though they do not risk being beaten up, are Americans in 2021 as afraid of the American left as Germans in 1933 were of the German fascists? We’re about to find out.
