With bank after bank failing and pretty clear proof of Biden Family profiteering in China, you know what is on the agenda: Distraction!

So, the rumor mill is now filled with predictions that Trump will be indicted next week. The more excited claiming that he’ll be arrested and frog marched into custody…not sure how the NYPD will manage that unless Trump happens to be in NYC next week, and his Secret Service detail will also have something to say along those lines.

I’m fairly confident, though, that they will indict Trump on some bogus charges. They pretty much have to at this point: if you listen to the Left, they have been screaming for it ever louder over the past year. They seem to think there’s 25 to life just waiting there for Trump…rather than, at most, a process crime which has a max sentence of six months. And a process crime without basis. Don’t get me wrong, Trump goes on trial in NYC and he will be found guilty – there’s no way a Manhattan jury would go the other way against Trump. Its why all hopes are pinned in NYC…they’d love to do it in DC and the jury pool there is just as hostile to Trump and obedient to Dems as Manhattan, but there is GOP House oversight in DC. In NYC, everyone is on the same team and no matter what laws the prosecutors break to get a conviction of Trump, none of them will ever be charged with a crime. But Trump has not broken the law – if he ever had, he would have been arrested ages ago. He’s legally clean as a whistle. So, whatever they charge will be drivel and it will be thrown out on appeal – but appeal is after conviction and it is the conviction the Dems want.

How does this affect 2024? Plenty of Dems seem to think that a conviction bars a person from office. This is because they’re stupid and ignorant. For the GOP base, there will be a huge upsurge of sympathy for Trump…but whether that carries on or is replaced with a “maybe he’d better bow out” feeling remains to be seen. And make no mistake about it: they don’t want Trump in 2024. They say they do, and that means you know they don’t. An indictment of Trump is proof positive that the Dems internal polling shows Pudding Brain coming up short in a rematch.

But the fun part comes later – eventually, we do get the White House back and the pressure to arrest the previous Democrat President will be unstoppable. This is Late Republic stuff, but it is what the Democrats want.

Elon Musk is claiming he’s got a nifty AI program which is going to detect and track social media manipulation. We’ll see! Not that I doubt Musk’s sincerity here, I’m just not sure a computer program can snoop it out. They just do what their biased programmers tell them to do, after all. I mean, I can snoop it out and I offer my services to Elon for no more than $1,983.943.56 per year. But my results also wouldn’t be accepted by the manipulators. Maybe that’s why Elon is trying AI…give it a sense of neutrality. Anyways, if it does work it will be very revealing not so much on the manipulation (I think we on the Right can sniff that out pretty fast these days), but on just who is pushing it – which will, I bet, turn out to include lots of people and institutions allegedly on our side.

This weirdo wrote a letter to his family saying that if they vote GOP, he’s done with them – he being gay and his assertion is that the GOP is trying to eliminate homosexuality. Specifically, he said he can’t be part of a family voting for people who want to murder him. Lots of people scorched the guy as the utter loon that he is, but I saw it for what it was: very effective propaganda. Even if not entirely conscious from the letter writer. You see, the Democrats lie. They lie about everything and all the time. They do this because lying works. Lying has always worked – from getting Eve to eat the apple to getting a bailout for SVB: lies always fall on fertile ground. What this loon was doing was reinforcing the Democrat propaganda that the GOP is filled with hate-filled, cruel people out to kill. Now, maybe this guy was paid to write his letter or maybe he’s just your basic Progressive moron who believes what he sees on TV. It doesn’t matter: what matters is that Democrat voters will hear about it and their “GOP Bad” beliefs will be reinforced. And Democrats must put this on steroids going into 2024: Joe is held in contempt. Nobody likes him. Not even his own family (if they liked him, they wouldn’t have let him run in 2020). The economy is in tatters and looks to get worse. A lot worse. So, what to do? Change policy? ROFL!!! No: just get your base fired up with fear and hatred so they’ll stick with you no matter what happens. I expect the main base-motivators for the Dems will be claims that the GOP wants to kill gay people and execute women for having an abortion…and do look for GOPers who feed into this propaganda. That supposedly far-right guy you think was ok? Well, just a few thousand bucks and he’s making a sound byte for the MSM which feeds the DNC Narrative.

Paying an extortionist would definitely be a bogus charge. Even extortion, which is what Stormy Daniels did to Trump, is often charged as a misdemeanor. I can’t see how the prosecutor in NY arrests Trump in Florida even if he gets an indictment.

The dick measuring contest between whoever the NY prosecutor sends to arrest Trump and the Secret Service Detail guarding Mar-A-Lago would make for a humorous video.

Well, it looks like Trump may just turn himself in.

Trump’s legal team has been preparing in advance of the possible indictment as well, CNN said. He is expected to present himself in Manhattan after formal charges have been brought.

Why oh why is he still promoting the failed strategy of “protesting” what happens to him? We can’t demand a president who never makes a mistake but we deserve one who learns from the mistakes he made.

Congress was on the cusp of postponing certification on January 6, until the Trump disaster hit the doors and blew the whole thing up. Now he seems to be wanting a repeat.

Gotta agree that the call to protest is self-defeating – I mean, sure, you can protest all you want in a Red State but the MSM won’t cover it. But if you protest in a Blue State, they’ll throw the book at you and there will likely be Feds and Antifa there to incite violence.

“likely”? As in “it is likely to become less dark after sunrise” likely?

It is all a calculation at this point – and he probably figured that fighting extradition would be a losing proposition. Better to go and get it over with. The trial isn’t about law, anyway: it is all politics. Trump is going to get a boost of sympathy from the base when it happens…then its a matter of how he plays the hand.

It seems like a win/win. If this antic spurs support for Trump, we win. If it keeps him out of the White House we get DeSantis and we win.

From an article on the rise of vulgarity in our society:

Several trends have contributed to this decline. First, contemporary messaging suggests that the most important attributes of your identity are those associated with your sexuality. Second, academia, the media and the entertainment industry love to proclaim that vulgarity is synonymous with creativity. Third, multiple generations of Americans have been led to believe that feelings are a substitute for argument (or trump argument altogether).

These viewpoints are manifestly false. Individually, they can do plenty of damage. But together, they have formed a corrosive miasma that is eroding the very fabric of American culture.

Teacher unions have proven to be the greatest threat this country faces.

If Trump is indicted and/or arrested … he will win 2024 in a landslide.

For the life of me I don’t understand how the homeless problem, largely in Democrat controlled cities, isn’t a death knell for the party. Couple that with homeless vets on the streets while illegal immigrants are often put up in 5 star hotels, and you have to ask, why would anyone in their right mind be a Democrat by choice? Oh wait — never mind, asked and answered.

Two big problems with a Red/Blue split: (1) no definitive dividing line either north/south or east/west and virtually every bright red state has at least one blue cyst. People are voting with their feet (and U-Haul trailers) at an ever-increasing rate, but it’ll still take several generations for a complete realignment, in the event that we don’t just end up shooting it out.

Adding around ten states, as Amazona suggested, by dividing existing states into red and blue areas, as well as states simply ignoring unconstitutional federal regulations and mandates would go a long way toward solving the problem. Blue areas of the country have no practical means of forcing their views and policies on the rest of us if we decide we’re not going to let them. Can you imagine someone like Casper or Fielding knocking on your door and telling you they’re there to collect your “illegal” guns, or they’re there to regulate the pond in your backyard?

I’ve been a gun owner for almost sixty years. I’m 100% ok with you keeping your guns. Read Thomas Sowell’s “Black Rednecks and White Liberals. Interesting read.

      • Amazona March 18, 2023 / 5:04 pm

I suggested that to you, after your silly effort to make racism the reason for cultural and economic differences.

(Yesterday: Start with Thomas Sowell. Start with “Black Rednecks and White Liberals”. Too many words? Well, there’s a video that might be more palatable, but I should include a trigger warning that it contains actual facts and therefore might be offensive. )

I can’t believe anyone who had read that book could then come here and bleat about the differences in income between some whites and some blacks.

Then read some of his other books.

Free rural Illinois from Chicago and give it two Senators and a Representative or two. Do the same for California, free eastern Washington and Oregon from Seattle and Portland, isolate NYC and let the rest of the state govern itself, and so on. No need for violence, no need for guns, no need for a new Constitution. Just new maps and some new state capitols, and a new flag.

As far as creating new “red” states that is not a given. Certainly one of the new California states might remain blue. But it would break the chokehold the big urban centers have on the outlying parts of their states, and furthermore it would increase representation. Dems would have to fight for votes, which would mean convincing people they have a better blueprint for governing the country, instead of just cruising back into Congress as incumbents.

Let’s say eastern Colorado, western Kansas and western Nebraska split off and create a new state called (just an idea, from a native Coloradan) Centennial. It shouldn’t have a lot of overhead, and could easily refuse to have state income tax and estate taxes, and a business-friendly environment. This area has a lot of agriculture, from crops to livestock, and abundant oil and gas deposits. Let Denver and Lincoln and Topeka suck wind, deprived of that revenue, while the new state flourishes. And it would.

“I’ve been a gun owner for almost sixty years. I’m 100% ok with you keeping your guns.”

As long as YOU are okay with it. I’m guessing that pesky 2nd Amendment wouldn’t count if YOU had a problem with people owning Firearms.

    • Amazona March 18, 2023 / 4:47 pm

How would it work? Read Kurt Schlichter’s books on a divided America and see if you have a better idea of how to make this happen

      • Retired Spook March 18, 2023 / 4:57 pm

On a level playing field we would beat the Left just on ideas and results 24/7/365, but they have an uncanny ability to tilt the playing field. I have lots of friends who think the only way we’ll ever beat them is to shoot it out. Still a last resort as far as I’m concerned.

First we turn our Red States into Incandescent Red States – States so thoroughly under our control that the Democrats don’t dare show themselves in public. States where laws are enacted to hamstring federal law enforcement at every turn. States which have revived their Militia.

Then we talk Compromise or Divorce.

I get it, and I think it’s a wonderful goal. I’ll say it again….read the DeSantis book. He lays out his philosophy of energetic executive action, and in a very clear and concise way that is almost Reaganesque. He takes your wish list several steps further and lays out an actual blueprint of what to do and how to do it.

Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg gave a private warning to his employees stating he will not tolerate intimidation from former President Trump amid his calls for protests in the possibility he will be indicted on Tuesday.

In other words, the Manhattan D.A. has finally found a protest it will prosecute

Now coffee is racist. You have to wonder if anyone thought through the idea of taking coffee away from people with guns.
