Dear GOP: Stop Being Losers

“The fault, dear Brutus, is not in our stars,
But in ourselves, that we are underlings.”

Shakespeare, Julius Caesar

The primary reason we lose is because we’re losers. And we really need to stop being losers.

As the potential Trump indictment started to dominate the conversation did we see a fully unified GOP/Right condemning what would be an obvious act of merciless injustice? No: what we saw is Trumpsters and DeSantistans getting into a pissing match about who should be doing and saying what. For heaven’s sake, this was a golden opportunity to unite the party and fire up the base…and it so far is being wasted in internecine battles. And I do blame both sides.

To be sure, my bet is that the fight originated among people in the pay of the DNC – I am quite confident (because Democrats are really good at politics) that they have co-opted some of ours. People who might seem the most fervent Conservatives/GOPers who are nonetheless getting paid to sow division. To take any issue and make it a “you must back my guy or you’re a loser Commie” moment. From there, other voices just pick up the propaganda and run with it…before you know it, you’ve got people on the Right bitterly fighting it out on a matter of internal political purity while the Democrats are busily advancing their agenda. I would not at all be surprised to find out that the leak of a looming Trump indictment was done with just this sort of thing in mind…I’ll be certain of it if the indictment doesn’t happen (there are rumors that it won’t).

This isn’t about Trump. It isn’t about DeSantis. It isn’t about any particular policy prescription: it is about our ability to govern ourselves. The Democrats propose to take that away. Do you think they’ve dropped the idea of packing the Court and taking over State and local elections? They haven’t. Democrats never retreat from a position. They sometimes for tactical reasons put an issue on the backburner, but even there they still try to advance it. And they never forget it or give it up. If the Democrats secure enough power – and a divided GOP would hand it to them – they will pack the Courts, rule our liberties as unconstitutional and take over the election process to ensure we can never win again. They will do this. It isn’t a guess. It isn’t a worry. It is precisely what they’ll do because Democrats – and this has been true of them since Van Buren created the party – always believe that the survival of the United States requires Democrats to win all elections. Any election not won by Democrats was via evil machinations…all elections won by Democrats are forever. If we lose we lose forever; our choices will then be to submit, or break up the country.

What has happened to Trump since 2015 has been sheer evil. And none of it was his fault. Lots of anti-Trump GOPers like to say that if Trump wasn’t Trump then it would all have been different. No, it would not have. Trump has had 10,000 liars in government and the MSM out to get him since he came down the escalator. They never let any lies go and they always add new lies (most Democrats remain convinced that Trump is a Russian asset installed in 2016 via Putin switching votes from Hillary to Trump). The will do to anyone else what they did to Trump. They are already working up the lies to be used against DeSantis. So, when a partisan hack of a Democrat DA proposes to so much as investigate Trump, let alone charge him, the duty of all Conservatives/GOPers is to condemn the effort and stand shoulder to shoulder against it. The Democrats are the enemy.

But, we seem to prefer to fight each other. Perhaps because we’re too chicken to fight Democrats? They play dirty, GOPers don’t. But we must stop it. We must never punch right. Always punch left. Everyone needs to get on board. Sure, battle for your guy but once the guy is chosen, everyone gets on board. And while the battle to pick a guy is ongoing, any and all Democrat attacks against any of the candidates are to be met with ferocious scorn by all of us…not sotto-voiced agreed to in the hopes that that it’ll place our guy in a better position for the primaries.

The life of our nation is at risk. In the old saw: now is the time for all good people to come to the aid of their country. Now is most emphatically not the time to rip each other to shreds.

I’m going to borrow a line from Dan Bongino: some Republicans are really Democrats; NO Democrats are really Republicans.

They may do ALL those things if they achieve total control, but they will not rule the half of the country that disagrees with them.

“always believe that the survival of the United States requires Democrats to win all elections.” This is horseshit and you know it. What happened in 2020 Spook? The GOP couldn’t abide a democrat winning an election so the party leader gathered a mob and set them loose to stop the legal transfer of power.

You guys are all projection. Look in the mirror sometime. Especially the super angry Cluster.

The “super angry” cluster lol. Just because I want to people like you to die in an inferno, doesn’t mean I am angry. I’m a happy warrior and able to keep my emotions in check. Unlike you and so many of your non binary communist friends.

By now we should never be surprised when a Lefty reveals yet another level of delusion, but when I see something like fielding’s whine that Trump gathered a mob and set them loose to stop the legal transfer of power I am still taken aback by the sheer insanity of the claim. It’s as if fielding doesn’t realize we all have access to actual facts and that his bleating a tired old lie just isn’t going to convince anyone.

(Though I have come to agree with Kurt Schlichter’s observation that most if not all of the squeals from the Left are not really efforts to change our minds about anything but just public displays of emotional onanism, as they lovingly stroke the lies that stimulate them the most and get off on doing it in forums like this.)

But it still cracks me up to see the claim that a Constitutionally guaranteed right to freedom of opinion and assembly, and to petition the government for redress of wrongs, is somehow illegal, illegitimate and a violation of whatever the latest claim is—though it is sure to include being AN ATTACK ON DEMOCRACY!!!

I don’t watch Agenda Media—as a matter of fact I haven’t seen TV for months now. After Ian, I couldn’t get Xfinity out to hook up my TV, and I found that I don’t miss it. For a while I watched Netflix or Hulu but lately I haven’t even turned the TV on. So I don’t know what the talking points are these days from the Complicit Agenda Media. But I can guess with a high degree of certainty that they are not investigating, much less just covering, news about the worst of the J6 riots not just happening at the instigation of federal and local law enforcement but that these instigators personally did a lot of the violence.

So—-there was no intent or desire to, as fielding so breathlessly informed us, stop the legal transfer of power. There were two issues in play here: One was whether or not the provided election results really would lead to a legal transfer of power and the other is the difference between attempting a DELAY vs trying to stop it altogether.

But both of these are immaterial to the flying monkeys of the chattering Left, who have such a deep-seated need to strut their nastiness in places like this. They are the psuedo-political equivalents of flashers, crawling in here in the pretense of offering some political discourse and doing the equivalent of opening their stained trench coats and smirking “Look at THIS!”

Someone even coined a term for it: “mental masturbation.”

“always believe that the survival of the United States requires Democrats to win all elections.” This is horseshit and you know it.

No, that was said by one of the primary founders of the Jackass party. (BTW, I don’t know who came up with that, but It’s one of the most accurate pieces of symbolism in political history) Interestingly, Van Buren was also the only other President in history to garner a higher percentage increase in votes from his first election than Trump and still lose.

      • Cluster March 20, 2023 / 3:43 pm

Who are you trying to convince?? Jan 6 is nothing more than a ruling class operation and narrative comrade.

    • Cluster March 20, 2023 / 5:09 pm

Your crystal ball isn’t working very well. So again, who are you trying to convince? Yourself?

  3. Cluster March 20, 2023 / 9:47 am

The primary reason we lose is because we’re losers. And we really need to stop being losers.

The Democrats usually win because they are communists. They walk in lock step and never disparage the party. And they have a mouth breathing base that are convinced that they are “enlightened and all virtuous” … remember Casper’s definition of woke?? This phenomenon has played out all throughout history as well, so we can learn from that. The Nazi’s thought they were virtuous. The Stalinists though that too, as did the Mao revolutionists. It’s no different. And we will have to spill blood to win.

And we do have subversive people within our ranks. Just like the FBI dressed up as Trump supporters and sowed chaos on Jan 6, many communists have infiltrated the GOP and are doing the same thing.

In oder to win, we can not worry about the consequences of out actions. Extremism in the pursuit of liberty is no vice. Let’s break this shit and pick up the pieces afterwards.

  4. Cluster March 20, 2023 / 10:03 am

I will say it again, Putin was touring Mariupol yesterday, so our $113 billion hasn’t gotten us anything so far. No one seems to give a shit

Re: Fieldings comment – that in itself is Orwellian as everything is these days. Just compare the actual violence over the last three years of that on the Left and that on the Right. The Left spent the entire summer of 2020 burning down inner cities in uncontrolled rage. The Right got a little rambunctious on Jan 6, in part because of the FBI. There is no comparison. The Left is the party of “super angry”, emotionally stunted, violent communists.

Don’t you think when Trump announced that, if indicted, he would voluntarily return to NY and turn himself in may have thrown a monkey wrench in Brag’s plans. Now he can’t have a fully kitted-out SWAT team raid Mar-A-Lago and march Trump out in shackles at gunpoint. Well, he could, but the blowback would be harsh.

      • Tim March 20, 2023 / 11:48 am

I don’t think the state of Florida would allow new york to assemble any kind of team like that. Since this would be a new york state charge, new york would have to request extradition.

There is no guarantee that Florida would comply with the request if Statute uf Limitations could be invoked.

      • Retired Spook March 20, 2023 / 12:00 pm

Tim, I think you underestimate the Left’s ability to ignore the law and make things up as they go along. BTW, even if Brag could somehow convert this into a federal charge turning it into a felony, the statute of limitations goes from 2 years to 5 years years, but this happened 6 years ago. Talk about pissing into the wind.

      • Amazona March 20, 2023 / 12:11 pm

As I may have mentioned a time or twelve, I’ve been reading the Ron DeSantis book and I’m pretty sure a federal raiding party would have to face the Florida National Guard. He puts up with no crap from anyone, and he’s a lawyer who actually knows the law, especially Constitutional law, with a special focus on states’ rights.

He just said he “has no interest in getting involved in some type of manufactured circus by some Soros DA.” That hat trick ought to slap Bragg in his fat face——“manufactured” and “circus” and “Soros DA”.

        Really liking DeSantis

I didn’t see a reference to Hallie contacting Joe for help in dealing with the highly inappropriate and sexualized behavior of her minor daughter with Uncle Hunter, and Joe’s reply that it was Hallie who needed counseling.

But who would expect a pedo to object to sexual contact with a child?

But where are the flyers telling people where to go to overthrow the government and assume its powers?

    • Amazona March 20, 2023 / 5:37 pm

They still haven’t managed to identify the Antifa crowd, the undercover LEOs inciting violence, the guy who pushed the protestor off the wall (attempted murder) or even found out who Ray Epps was talking to or what he was whispering in their ears seconds before they nodded in agreement and turned to attack police.

I remember seeing a video of five or six guys in all-black hiding behind some trees and stripping off black clothes to show red clothing underneath and then stepping through the trees to join a bunch of Trump supporters. I remember seeing an annotated video of the immediate surroundings of the Ashli Babbit murder, with guys shoving black hats deep into trash cans and one guy doing the same with his jacket before they slunk off. Someone went through it frame by frame, identifying people with tags like “Blue Shirt Guy”, and followed them throughout what was probably a two minute real-time sequence.
Sure a shame the FBI never got to see those videos, or had this ability, or thought to look in trash cans all around the Capitol afterward, isn’t it?

“They still haven’t managed to identify the Antifa crowd, the undercover LEOs inciting violence”
It’s almost like they didn’t exist.

“I remember seeing a video of five or six guys in all-black hiding behind some trees and stripping off black clothes to show red clothing underneath and then stepping through the trees to join a bunch of Trump supporters.”

        Could they be these guys?

“One man charged in the riot, Joseph Randall Biggs, an Army veteran and an organizer in the Proud Boys hate group, encouraged others to travel to Washington, D.C., for the Jan. 6 rally with specific instructions. He told them not to dress “in colors,” according to court documents. And he allegedly directed an online message at antifa groups, whose members are known for wearing black to counterprotests:

“We will be blending in as one of you. You won’t see us. You’ll even think we are you,” Biggs allegedly wrote on Parler on Dec. 29. “We are going to smell like you, move like you, and look like you. The only thing we’ll do that’s us is think like us!”

LOL at using NPR as if they are something better than the National Enquirer. Just look at how they cover it, “an organizer of the Proud Boys hate group”. How do you know its a hate group? Because Progressives say it is! That’s it! That is the entirety of your evidence!

Now, to be sure, I’ll bet that whatever the Proud Boys started as, they are entirely infiltrated by the FBI now and so there may well be violence as the FBI instigates it to serve the “white Supremacists are the Real Terrorists” Narrative. But, Casper, you got nothing: just propaganda which you’re buying.

Here’s something for you to do to demonstrate what I mean: I want you to look up the evidence that Trump actually had sex with Stormy Daniels. When you find it, get back to me.

      • Amazona March 21, 2023 / 8:19 am

Poor Casper, locked into slavish devotion to the wrong side and scrambling to find a way to make it make sense. Next he’ll be citing the SPLC.

You nailed it, Mark, when you said whatever the Proud Boys started as, they are entirely infiltrated by the FBI now and so there may well be violence as the FBI instigates it to serve the “white Supremacists are the Real Terrorists” Narrative I doubt that a single Proud Boy who was at that protest has gone unidentified.

      • Amazona March 21, 2023 / 8:50 am

Why did Biggs write this? So they could blend in with Trump supporters later? Because……..???

Honestly, Casper, you’ve never been the sharpest knife in the drawer, not even many years ago when you were entering your dotage and prattling about how belief in the Constitution as it was written means wanting to return to the days of slavery and denying women the vote. And now you are taking the lead from NPR of all dithery sources, and citing a headline that says ask the criminals if they are criminals.

You seem to spend a lot of time snouting around in Leftist dumpsters looking for something, anything, that might make you feel less bamboozled. Can’t happen. Because the system you enable and defend is one of inevitable misery and tyranny, and you just let yourself be distracted by the shiny things it dangles in front of you so you won’t pay attention to the rot beneath.

      • casper3031 March 20, 2023 / 10:50 pm

        Mask,
I don’t care if Trump had sex with Stormy Daniels. It’s how he paid for the cover up that will result in charges. Something that his former attorney has already served time for.

AS for the Proud Boys, I’m just suggesting that maybe they were the ones in black that Amazon mentioned.

      • Amazona March 21, 2023 / 8:42 am

“how he paid for the cover up” Well, he paid with his own money, so the quibble is that he listed it as a “legal expense”. We’ve gone over this already.

Here’s an opinion on the “case”. True, it’s from a law professor and not a twinkie from a Lefty media outlet, but still…

Although it may be politically popular, the case is legally pathetic. Bragg is struggling to twist state laws to effectively prosecute a federal case long ago rejected by the Justice Department against Trump over his payment of “hush money” to former stripper Stormy Daniels. In 2018 (yes, that is how long this theory has been around), I wrote how difficult such a federal case would be under existing election laws. Now, six years later, the same theory may be shoehorned into a state claim.

It is extremely difficult to show that paying money to cover up an embarrassing affair was done for election purposes as opposed to an array of obvious other reasons, from protecting a celebrity’s reputation to preserving a marriage. That was demonstrated by the failed federal prosecution of former presidential candidate John Edwards on a much stronger charge of using campaign funds to cover up an affair.

In this case, Trump reportedly paid Daniels $130,000 in the fall of 2016 to cut off or at least reduce any public scandal. The Southern District of New York’s U.S. Attorney’s office had no love lost for Trump, pursuing him and his associates in myriad investigations, but it ultimately rejected a prosecution based on the election law violations. It was not alone: The Federal Election Commission (FEC) chair also expressed doubts about the theory.

Prosecutors working under Bragg’s predecessor, Cyrus Vance Jr., also reportedly rejected the viability of using a New York law to effectively charge a federal offense.

But you just keep fretting about this. It seems to really bother you.

And you just suggest away, in your little bubble of alternate reality.

Please, dear Lord, make it stop! Shut this man up! He’s destroying our ability to use dementia as a disqualifier for the presidency!

    • Mark Noonan March 20, 2023 / 10:17 pm

He has been on a tear and in a lot of ways it isn’t helping him.

      • Amazona March 21, 2023 / 12:45 pm

I think people are gradually going to realize they are supporting the Trump that WAS, and not the Trump that IS.

As Bonchie pointed out, he has an opportunity handed to him to go on offense regarding malicious prosecution and abuse of power and weaponization of government agencies to go after political appointees, and instead he is stuck in some 50s smear campaign mentality where it will damage an opponent to hint that he’s gay.

And I’m serious about damaging the argument that dementia is a disqualifier for the presidency if he does insane stupid stuff like this and still wants to be president. It raises the specter of him and Biden throwing pudding at each other and yelling “You’re a poopy head.” “No YOU’RE a poopy head” while a third party candidate strolls across the finish line.
