Over on Twitter @ZubyMusic asks, “What is the most damaging popular myth?”. Getting a lot of responses, some of them jokes of course. But it did get me thinking.

And I think that the most damaging popular myth is the history (so-called) of the last 100 years. That is, what we’ve been told is the history.

I’ve yammered on quite a bit over the past couple years about aspects of our received beliefs which don’t hold up to scrutiny and I’m coming to the conclusion that just as we have Narrative-Drivers for our politics (ie, story lines created – often in advance – to drive opinion in certain directions desired by those in charge) so we’ve had History-Drivers: that is, gatekeepers in the production of history who make certain that the historical Narrative only rolls into accepted grooves.

Just as in the MSM and the larger popular media the ability to be seen and heard largely depends on your ability to do as you’re told, so too is it likely to be this way in all disciplines. Do we really want to think that there is some institutional aspect of our society which isn’t controlled? That the people who have crafted Narrative after Narrative for our immediate political debates would let slip something as crucial as how history records things? That in a world of overwhelmingly conformist thought, they’d let independent thinkers have a place all to their own?

I’m just reminded of a story I heard some years back – it involved a moderately famous man but I can’t remember exactly who at the moment, but no worry as that isn’t fully relevant here. The key thing is that this man’s father was a British colonial official at the tail end of the Empire and upon a time this man pointed out to his son a ragged ship heading north from coastal east Africa and said, “that ship is filled with slaves, and I’m under orders to do nothing about it”. The British were leaving, as were all the colonial powers and with them went any impetus to stop the slave trade…and what had been firmly suppressed was now rising to the surface as the anti-slavers quite the scene. And then, 40 years later, we were all told that the British Empire was nothing but racist colonial oppression. Of course, a true history of Africa since the end of colonial rule would rather harp upon the breakdown of services, the rise of oppression and ethnic murder, the return of slavery…but, we can’t have that, can we? Doesn’t fit the Narrative. Oh, sure, when some particularly hideous thing happens, the world takes notice (like, say, the Rwandan genocide) but it is never placed in context. If any context is given at all, the problem is ascribed to “the legacy of colonialism”, as if the people today had no agency. And then we move on, not noticing until the next outrage occurs. Meanwhile, South Africa is slipping back into Third World status as the millennium promised with the end of Apartheid breaks down under the weight of bribery, incompetence and a raft of anti-white laws and rhetoric.

Just a little bit of the actual history of Africa and none of this would have had to happen. But just as in everything else, all we got was the Narrative history…and it is sustained in spite of any contravening facts.

Pudding Brain’s Secretary of Education said the quiet part out loud – asserting that teacher’s know better than parents what is best for kids. It is absurd and evil, but they really do think that way. They believe, that is, that someone with credentials is inherently superior. No surprise there: they all rise based on their credentials and so they hold credentials as supreme. None of these people – either in government or corporation – has ever had to produce. To actually make something happen or come into existence by their own efforts. Its all just reviewing plans and picking among them based upon the Current Thing and where the strongest pressure is coming from. And they are never tossed out, never jailed, never wind up in poverty. What we’re going to have to do is change laws to require first of all real world experience before you can take a government position and, secondly, entrance exams…really tough exams. Like, say, if you are seeking employment at the Department of Transportation, one of the questions should be along the lines of, “what is the per mile cost of moving a ton of goods from Long Beach to Denver?” and “if fleet average MPG is increased by 10 percent, what will be the average annual cost to an American consumer?”. Guarantee it will weed out these credentialed morons and allow room in there for people who actually know how things work.

See that little flap of metal up the pole there that everyone is smiling about? That was a shade installation to make travel by bus more equitable in Los Angeles. No, seriously; that little bit of metal is supposed to provide shade. I guess when its high noon and if you can stand right under it. It cost $10,000.00 to install. The Progs are seriously proud of this.

How about some fun stuff, now?

Speaking of worthless credentials, I think this organization tops them all

Donations to the national organization for Black Lives Matter saw a shocking drop-off of nearly 90 percent from 2021 to 2022, as the group’s use of funds continued to cause controversy.

No black lives saved, byt many black lives ruined

And speaking of do nothing people, ironically I was having this same conversation with a friend just the other day. I would say that upwards of 95% of our current elected class has never built up anything, with the exception of their own resume. Look at people like Buttigieg, KJP, Elizabeth Warren, AOC, Fetterman, Schiff, Biden, etc., and even people Lindsay Graham, Mitch McConnell, John Thune, etc., etc. These people have never built anything but what they have done is preside over the precipitous decline of the country over the last two decades. I’m also convinced that this is why so many of them hate Trump. He actually builds things, that are beautiful and profitable and lasting. They have no such skills.

And just wait until the propaganda fueled and enraged black people learn that reparation checks will not be coming their way. How do you think that will turn out???

That’s what I have been saying. If you want to put targets on the backs of white people, promise ignorant people already groomed to see violence as an acceptable form of expressing themselves and trained to be professional victims that white people owe them millions and will deliver, and then have that promise fall apart.

Why, it’s almost as if it were planned that way!

As if the goal is a race war.
As if the goal is to have an excuse to impose martial law
As if the goal is to either cancel the next election or at least come up with various things to “deal with the situation” such as mandatory mailed ballots, to get back to the Covid-level cheating enabled by the plandemic.

I realize, in the overall scheme of things, B4V isn’t on the Left’s radar, but is IS such a place.

Love the John Wayne meme, BTW.

I hope everyone realizes by now, that Diversity, Inclusion, and Equity is the cover for the real agenda, and that is eliminating white, heterosexual, God fearing men

Anheuser-Busch, the parent company of Bud Light, has pledged to purge its white, male employees in an effort to have a “more diverse and inclusive environment,” according to footage found on the company’s website.

We are that much of threat to them. Well, time to ramp that threat up.

Interesting. That may have been one of worst unforced errors in corporate history. Although Fox News is doing their best to keep up

Couldn’t happen to a nice bunch. If ever there was a group where sterilization would benefit society…

Pro-Abortion Feminists are Sterilizing Themselves to Protest Overturning Roe.

I’ve been wondering why they haven’t already done that. One quick procedure and it’s done, instead of having to come up with a few thousand dollars every now and then and undergo a much more invasive (and sometimes dangerous) procedure that by the way takes a human life.

And every single man who supports abortion ought to be sterilized, as well.

So I guess the problem is all those freedom loving, Faith based, heterosexual white people. Who knew?

NAACP issues shock travel advisory against visiting Florida … ‘Before traveling to Florida, please understand that the state of Florida devalues and marginalizes the contributions of, and the challenges faced by African Americans and other communities of color,’ it adds.

    https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-12107447/NAACP-issues-travel-advisory-against-visiting-Florida-DeSantis.html

    • Amazona May 21, 2023 / 1:10 pm

The sad/tragic thing is that there are actually people in the target demographic of the NAACP who will believe this.

The good thing is that these are the kinds of people Florida probably doesn’t want in the state anyway.

Having spent a winter in the great state of Florida I can personally attest to the large numbers of “people of color” who form a huge component of life in the state. Florida Hispanics tend to be Cuban or from the islands more than from Mexico and Central America, but they are a significant element of life in Florida and I never saw even a hint of prejudice against them. Because of the proximity to black island nations, many of the black people there are not of the same “African American” heritage we see farther north—which might, now that I think of it, account for the lack of as much whiny victimhood.

The Florida I saw and heard about is a haven for everyone, except (now) for pedophiles and groomers and race baiters. Homosexual activists try to portray Florida as “anti-gay” in spite of the famous gay communities of South Beach and the Keys. Now they are trying to use race, which won’t work either as the state has the most diverse racial identity of anyplace I have ever been.

We talk about DeSantis being a threat to the Left, and I am starting to think Florida is, too. Its focus on individual liberty, economic progress and lack of racial bias, and the inevitable successes that result, are all threats to the collectivist Central Control concept of the Left and its need to control through creating conflict and turning demographics against each other.

      • Cluster May 21, 2023 / 2:05 pm

Normal people live in Florida, therefore it must be attacked by Democrats

      • Amazona May 21, 2023 / 9:26 pm

Worse–Florida is an example of what good government looks like, therefore it must be demonized.

    • Amazona May 21, 2023 / 12:56 pm

Now that the West is controlled by the Left, with the collusion of people who are just plain stupid, there is no concern for threats from Leftist countries. It is still considered intelligent to make fun of Joe McCarthy, in spite of the fact that he was right about everything. Awareness of potential danger is laughed at and treated like a mental illness as we do self-destructive things like continue to have most of our drugs and other medical supplies and equipment made in China, as well as essential components for our very survival, such as big electrical transformers.

I remember when we were building a new embassy in Moscow, and hired Russian contractors to build it. Whaaaa? Microphones built into the walls? Secret recording devices hidden in the construction? Why would you even worry about such things?

That’s as silly as worrying about a Secretary of State running official government communications through an unsecured internet server a high school IT major could hack.

And we are not supposed to think about things like the effect a strong United States might have on decisions made by Russia. For example, why did Russia wait to invade Ukraine till we had a weak and feckless administration? Did the influx of American dollars to buy Russian oil help fund the war? Would Russia feel less bold in cutting off fuel supplies to the UK if the US were still in a position to supply not just the UK but every nation now depending on Russia for oil and gas? What would happen to the economies of the nations posing the greatest threats to the United States if we were to pull our manufacturing out of China and stop enriching Russia by driving Western and Eastern Europe to Russia for their oil and gas? How might that affect the standing of the United States in the world?

Clearly these are not questions that concern, or probably even occur to, the current administration, as it focuses on finding enough sexual deviants to put in powerful and lucrative government positions with access to classified security information.

Kruschev once said that greed would destroy the west. He was right. Greed for money, power, and lust has destroyed the United States, and all three of those deadly sins reside in the heart of the current POTUS.

If we had a font that was super big and lit up surrounded by fireworks it would appropriate for this YCMTSU. Super genius NYC Mayor Adams, who was allegedly once a police officer, has a super genius plan for dealing with the avalanche of felony shoplifting in the city. It is a very special plan, and it involves kiosks. Why hasn’t anyone thought of that before? KIOSKS. Now it seems so…obvious.

    https://pbs.twimg.com/media/FwiGU1wWwAEvr16?format=jpg&name=small

Because it takes a special kind of mind to come up with a special kind of plan that recognizes that the only reason people steal is because they haven’t had anyone “connect them with Social Service programs”.

No wonder the politically savvy people of NYC elected this guy.

A great comment about Joe Biden:

He was stupid long before he was senile. Just a layered thing.

    • Amazona May 22, 2023 / 1:50 pm

In other words, how to say “We (Dems) don’t care about women voters” without actually coming out and saying “we don’t care about women voters”.

Aside from the belief that abortion is a mere “reproductive right” or “health care” I don’t see much to make women think “Yeah, I like it better when Dems run things” At least not women who have daughters.

That is, unless they want them exposed (literally) to male genitals, sometimes aroused, in bathrooms, locker rooms, etc. Unless they want them going to school with boys who can use the same bathrooms, locker rooms, etc. after reading lots of juicy porn in the school libraries. Unless they have no interest in the benefits of women’s sports, including the lucrative scholarships. Unless they like having the formerly special identity of “woman” reduced to any old definition anyone wants to use.

      • Cluster May 22, 2023 / 3:17 pm

What does “terminally online” mean? And thanks for discounting the effort this young woman put in to compete at a high level only to lose out to one of your mentally retarded male friends.

And have you noticed that everyone who supports abortion, has already been born? Doesn’t take any courage to advocate for something that will never effect you. But that’s who you are.

      • Cluster May 22, 2023 / 3:38 pm

Demeaning women and allowing mentally retarded men to infiltrate their spaces, will DEFINITELY move votes. As will the crime you endorse, the endless wars you support, and the corrupt illegitimate President you fawn over … but good luck with all that

      • Amazona May 23, 2023 / 12:06 pm

I’ve always been amazed at how people have failed to recognize the drag queen phenomenon as a parody of a not very nice stereotype of women. For a long time it fell into a category of entertainment that did not demean women in general, but was focused on portraying singers by dressing and looking like them while lip-syncing to their songs. A man doing a good job of imitating Liza Minelli singing “New York, New York” wasn’t insulting. But then RuPaul and his crew expanded that to mimicking exaggerated (and not flattering) gay stereotyping of women in general, and it started to get ugly and insulting. Yet the starry-eyed preening “LOOK HOW ENLIGHTENED AND TOLERANT I AM” Left was enchanted by the opportunity to posture and virtue signal.
