Democrat Admits Democrats’ Budget Includes Largest Tax Increase
June 10th, 2008 at 06:25am Matt Margolis
Rep. Bill Foster, D-IL. put out a press release blasting the Democratic leadership and their proposed budget.
“I can’t support a budget, from either party, that raises taxes on the middle class. This bill hurts families all across the 14th District by eliminating the 10-percent bracket for lower-income taxpayers, reinstating the marriage penalty and increasing taxes on small businesses and investments.
Foster’s admission contradicts Nancy Pelosi, who recently said on the House floor that “this year’s budget plan does not include a tax increase.”
At least someone on the Democrat side of the aisle will admit it. Congratulations, Rep. Foster.

Foster is a Democratic in name only. He is a republic. The new budget does not increase taxes it removes tax cuts given to the top 5% of the wealthy.

Pelosi is a liar.
Where is her and her fellow Democrats “Common Sense Legislation to lower gas/oil/energy prices”?
Where is her and her fellow Democrats “Out of Iraq” legislation?
Or any other legislation promised in 2006?
And I am not talking about the feeble attempts with no confidence votes, non-binding resolutions and bs legislation they knew would be vetoed for the purpose of this years election.
MS you are a foolish lemming. “The new budget does not increase taxes it removes tax cuts given to the top 5% of the wealthy.”
So there taxes will remain the same or INCREASE?
So an increase in not an increase?
Ban this fool. We have no time for dumb-ass hacks like him.

This district is a Con stronghold. He knows it will take time to wean the Repug lemmings from the Kool-Aid. Statements like this will almost certain get him the Dennis Hastert vote come November.
It is working already; it seems he has D.A’s and Matt’s support.

Were taxes higher or lower during those years of economic prosperity in the 1990s?
We think comparatively they were higher but is that not a small price to pay to not have your homes in foreclosure, reasonable food and energy costs and reasonably priced full health care coverage?

Typical liberal absolute BS Pain. You forgot to mention this Dem tax increase package will lower CO2 emissions, save polar bears, provide personal Santa visits to the poor, prevent hurricaines, etc. Pure, but typical, BS.

Think on this…
The US Budget is already big enough at 2.7 trillion dollars.
They really dont need any more.

socialists revolutions normally start by stoking the underclass/middleclass with concepts that they are being cheated by the upperclass that runs the state….hugo chavez is doing it…lenin did it in russia…and now the DNC is doing it in America…

js,
Isn’t that the Democrats plan? Reagan, Kennedy, Bush, et. al. have clearly shown that when taxes go down the govt. gets more money. Maybe the Dems are increasing the taxes to bring down the size of the government.
Wait, that was the sound of Pelosi’s brain turning into a pretzel, Dems can’t understand that complicated math.

we need a balanced budget admendment.
neither the “tax n spend” left, nor the “borrow n spend” right can be trusted.

seems like the tax and spend boys are the borrow n spend too…..cause they sure dont seem to drum up enough money to cover all the spendin they want to do….even after they raise taxes to historic highs

Pain,
the economic prosperity in the 90s had everything to do with the dot.com boom and nothing to do with Clinton’s tax increases.
He even stated that he thought he raised taxes too much. Imagine what the economy would have been without those tax cuts.
Also, number of forclosures, cost of health care (which went up during the 90s), resonable food and energy prices (which also went up in the 90s - along with legislation to stop drilling and ethanol mandates) had nothing to do with tax increases. There is no relationship with tax increases, economic boom (Kennedy, Reagan and GWB proved that with tax cuts) and the problems you mentioned.
The government sucking money out of the economy and peoples pockets cannot have a positive impact. Taking more money from an individual will not help him pay his mortgage, buy food, buy gasoline and health care, UNLESS the entire economy is socialized!
Which, I am sure is the liberals’ plan all along.
Pain, go away and swim in your hellish lake.
Quietriot, ROTFLMAO!!! The lib talking points just ooze from your post. Go back and play with your blocks.
