Definition of a donkrat loser. Can’t win fairly so file a lawsuit. Freedom of Speech? LOL Only when it comes out of the mouth of donky.
Welcome to fascist america. Good job progessives, you are almost there. With a little help from the establishment repubs, it won’t be long until there is no fredom at all.
Democrat Racist David Duke Joins The Unions, Maoists, Communists, Socialists, & Anti-Semites at OWS

They weren’t fighting. They were just protesting the 50% price increase of pancakes. It just got out of hand a little.
“Democrat Racist David Duke”
You mean Republican former Louisiana State Representative and 1992 Republican presidential candidate David Duke?
Are you stupid, or are you just a habitual liar, neocon?
Never mind; you’re stupid.
Gee, wally….
Once again you don’t have all the FACTS and make a fool of yourself.
Duke is a RINO NOW (and has NEVER been endorsed by any Republican) and only changed his affiliation for political opportunity. Before that he was a DEMOCRAT and a member of many leftist groups – the KKK (an organization many infamous Democrats were members, including Sen. Robert Byrd), The National Party, The National Socialist White Peoples Party and many others. His basis is of the far left.
He also ran for President, AS A DEMOCRAT in 1988. But why let facts get in the way of your liberal talking points?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Duke Here is a link from the widely acceptable wikipedia (by the left of course).
Do continue to make a fool of yourself, it is very amusing!
tired
LOL
poor lil walleye, open mouth insert foot.
stupid is as stupid does. LOL
Right, he was a Democrat, he became a Republican, he continues to be a Republican, and his only political success came as a Republican. Glad you see the light, tired. You have successfully outsmarted neocon, the only person on this blog dumber than you.
Wally, what is it that makes David Duke a Republican? Is it like being a Liberal, where all you have to do is lay claim to the title without having a clue as to the underlying political philosophy and reality?
Anyone can claim to be a Republican, but the only way to really attack a person based on his political affiliation is to address the underlying political philosophy, ideology and agendas. If you know Duke’s political philosophy, ideology and agendas, and if you also understand these elements of the Republican Party, and if they are the same, and if you find them unacceptable due to their inherent objective qualities and not just because of some mindless knee-jerk spasm of rejection, then please do go ahead and address those specifics and explain what is wrong with them.
You dismiss anyone who claims to be a Democrat if he or she doesn’t toe the newly radicalized far Left political line, but you are mighty quick to accept a claim of belonging to the Republican Party even if the person shares none of the party’s ideals, ideology or agendas.
I am sick and tired of the RRL’s game of Identity Politics. I know it is what it takes to appeal to a certain mentality, such as yours, which is too dumb or too lazy or too indifferent to fact to actually learn, understand, research, accept and then defend a political philosophy based on anything more substantial than emotion and a sick attraction to the negative. But it is still offensive.
Politics is not about identities, labels, or other superficial nonsense. It is about the nuts and bolts of how best to run the country. It is, in this nation, a choice between the Constitutional model of small and restricted federal government and political power left at the state and local levels, versus large and powerful national government and all that means.
So you go ahead and titter about your silly superficial branding of someone based on nothing more than a claimed label of identity, and leave the thinking about real politics to those who can and will engage the concept.
Sneer all you want at neo and tired, et al, but they/we at least DO have a solid and factual understanding of the two competing political models in this country, they/we HAVE at least researched the successes and failures of each, they/we HAVE at least made a conscious intellectual commitment to a specific and well-understood political philosophy, and they/we are not just emotion-spurred sheeple eager to regurgitate talking points in support of a system we don’t even understand.
Come back with an analysis of the two competing political models in this country and an explanation of why you have chosen whichever one you have picked, and argue the merits of your choice, both in the abstract and regarding its history, and you might, just MIGHT, have a little credibility.
Till then, you are just noise.
“what is it that makes David Duke a Republican?”
Uhh…the fact that he’s a Republican (see the Wikipedia entry tired posted). It’s pretty simple, Amazona. Neocon claimed, either out of stupidity or rank dishonesty, that David Duke is a Democrat; I corrected him and pointed out that Duke is actually a Republican. What part of this is going over your head?
By the way, if you’re “sick and tired of identity politics,” perhaps you should stop using identity politics, hmmm?
OK, screech away.
David Duke WAS a previously registered Democrat, and is anti zionist, which is common ground with OWS, but really Duke is an opportunist, and really nothing more.
This statement is spot on:
Politics is not about identities, labels, or other superficial nonsense. It is about the nuts and bolts of how best to run the country.
Gee wally, again, your reading comprehension failures rears its ugly head.
As I stated, he became a Republican out of political necessity. His basis in life, his influences are of the left, as I proved in my earlier post. But again, why should you let facts get in the way of your useful idiot talking points.
Louisiana is largely a Democratic state. I know, since I used to live there. The majority of the state are registered Democrats – many of whom cross party lines when it comes to voting.
But David Duke wins a state seat in the House and is elected by a small district. So, one small district votes him in as a Republican (notice he ran for governor, as a Republican and lost) state representative and now he is a National Republican in your eyes. Again, NO ONE in the Republican party has endorsed him or given him any type of support.
But again, why let facts get in the way of your dumbed down talking points.
Keep it up, you are now approaching hysterical.
Thanks for playing, you lost get over it.
walleye
when d duke was in the KKK HE WAS a DEMOCRAT
he merely changed his registration not his roots.
now REFUTE the rest of the story.
“As I stated, he became a Republican out of political necessity”
Right–his racism forced him into the Republican party, where he found his only success. It’s the same thing that happened post-Dixiecrats/CRA; Duke was just behind the curve is all.
But this is all above your head.
Let me summarize this discussion for you.
Neo: blah blah blah evil Democrat
Wallace: He’s a member of the Republican party
tired: you got your facts all wrong! He used to be a democrat!
Amazona: SHUT UP ABOUT LABELS OMIGOD (somehow managing to ignore the 7-8 labels in 3 lines in neo’s post that sparked the whole discussion)
Do people really need to explain how retarded this is all making you look? You can argue all day about whether self-identifying as a Republican makes you are Republican, but without a doubt the guy is not currently a Democrat, and using him as a representative for the party is ridiculous.
corky & walleye
the dumb and dumber duo dupes, stuck on stupid.
And there we have it….
Wally says that his RACISM forced him to the Republican Party!
What next, you are going to claim that he is a TEA Party member?
Geez, stop with the dumbed down talking points already!
Again, his philosophy is that of the left which is matched by others and his actions. He is a “republican” in name only and out of political necessity and not due to philosophy. If his philosophy was the same as the Republicans, he would be welcome with open arms. The FACT is he is not and never has been. Blind labels don’t make the person what he is – philosophy and beliefs do. Sadly, it is that of a Democrat. Democrats opposed civil rights legislation more so than Republicans. This has been proven here at B4V before. Prominent Democrats, such as Robert Byrd, Al Gore Sr, etc. voted against the Civil Rights Acts during the 60s.
Robert Byrd’s racism should have “forced him to join the Republicans” using your stupid logic.
Now stop it you’re going beyond hysterical and the laughter you provide is now hurting my sides.
Why don’t you deny that the Unabomber was a Democrat? His philosophy and the Democrats are the same.
“What next, you are going to claim that he is a TEA Party member?”
I’ve seen nothing that indicates he is. However, he is a Republican, he was a Republican when he had his only political success, he remains a Republican, and your screaming, yelling, whining ,and dodging do nothing to change those simple facts.
But again, all of this is over your head.
Again, wally, you obviously have a problem comprehending the written word: “and your screaming, yelling, whining ,and dodging do nothing to change those simple facts.”
I have not dodged. I said and posted that he is indeed a “republican”. However, you seem to ignore other FACTS as well, FACTS you don’t like or FACTS that do not agree with your dumbed down talking point narrative.
As far a your false accusation of screaming, yelling and whining, I have provided proof time and again, but you keep up with the one-liner – “he is a republican, he is a republican, he is a republican”. Again, his “political success” was being elected state representative of one small district – it does not reflect the philosophies, beliefs and values of an entire political Party. Again, he switched for political opportunity, the Republican party has not endorsed him, supported him or recognized his self-proclaimed affiliation. But, again, that does not matter to one so desperate to stick to the narrative. BTW, you obviously are not aware that Martin Luther King was a REPUBLICAN as well. Does that make him a racist as well?
Apparently, it does not matter what Duke or Byrd did in the past as DEMOCRATS. I brought up the pasts (their philosophies and beliefs as well) of Byrd and the Unabomber and you just completely ignored them.
Oh, I forgot, the PAST does not matter to a liberal unless it is aimed at a Republican or the past has negative impacts on liberals as does Duke’s, Byrd’s, Gore’s and others who were just as racist and discriminatory. Duke’s past is of the left – FACTS I provided – was he the Grand Wizard of the KKK as a Republican? Nope. Was he a member of the Socialist groups as a Republican? Nope.
I keep forgetting that you drones are very selective in what you want to believe and “conveniently” forget FACTS that don’t agree with your ideology.
Note: if you can’t remember the answers to my questions refer to the source I provided earlier. Again, you failed to comprehend the obvious FACTS and continue to live in your land of make believe.
We’re not the ones that implied his views represented those of an entire party. That would be neo. Right up there. You can read it. Like, for real. Are you retarded?
Uh, cory, don’t even go there. He said it but he didn’t really say it – using that stupid tactic again?
Wally did. Apparently, your inability at comprehending the written word has made you look like an ass once again.
And you can’t spin your way out of this one, again.
Wally was challenged on several occasions but all he does is regurgitate the same nonsense.
“We’re not the ones that implied his views represented those of an entire party. That would be neo. Right up there. You can read it. Like, for real. Are you retarded?”
Well, besides his obvious intellectual deficiencies, he’s got very, very poor reading comprehension skills (he’s been severely tripped up by simple words like “everything” and “may”) and a fact-averse world view. Neocon claimed David Duke is a Democrat; I pointed out that no, he’s a Republican and has been for a while now. These simple facts have angered tired for whatever reason. It’s pretty sad.
Intellectual deficient?
Wow, wally, I have given you several facts that show Duke is a SELF proclaimed “republican” and that his philosophy is purely shaped when he was a Democrat. I have given other FACTS for you to consider that he is a “republican” in name only and only for political opportunity.
And all YOU can do is mindlessly regurgitate over and over “he is a republican”.
It is so sad for you Wally that a drone can be nothing more than a drone.
And you continue to completely misrepresent what has been said. You state that I have been dodging. Yet I proved you wrong. That alone is evidence you have no reading comprehension skills what so ever.
My challenges are completely ignored by you and your fellow drone cory.
Do continue to mindlessly chant, “he is a republican”. We all know that it will make you feel good and fit into the narrative that all Republicans and TEA partiers are racists. Again, using your provided narrative, Republican Martin Luther King would be a racist.
We await your next side splitting post.
BTW, why did you change your handle from slccr to jeffy to monty to bodie to wally???
Having a little identity crisis, or out of necessity after being banned from too many personal attacks since you can’t debate worth a crap?
So your position is that he was elected to office as a Republican, but we should count him as a Democrat anyway?
“So your position is that he was elected to office as a Republican, but we should count him as a Democrat anyway?”
Pretty much, and that says everything one needs to know about tired’s relationship with facts. He really, really doesn’t like them for some reason.
I see Tweedle-Dumb and Tweedle-Dee (cory and wally (bodie)) are still distorting after their failure at comprehending the written word.
They are dumbed down drones and will never learn anything. Neither of them can’t get past the regurgitated talking point “he is a republican” and for some strange reason they cannot comprehend “he became a republican for political reasons”, “he is a self-proclaimed “republican” in name only and has not been endorsed nor supported by the party”, etc. etc.
Statements repeated and ignored several times while they continue to distort, draw erroneous conclusions and continue to use stupid logic.
Notice that when I pointed out that Martin Luther King was a Republican, they quickly retreated from the “Republicans are racist” theme and came full circle in their panic and also refuse to address challenges posed to them.
It has truly been hysterical watching them trying to deflect from the fact that Duke was made who he was as a Democrat and can’t stand the fact that he is a RINO out of political expediency.
Ok, it was fun running circles around these mental midgets. It is time for someone else to have some fun.
Okay, so when he self-identifies as a democrat it counts, but when he self-identifies as republican and actually gets elected to office, it stops counting. Gotcha.
“Okay, so when he self-identifies as a democrat it counts, but when he self-identifies as republican and actually gets elected to office, it stops counting. Gotcha.”
You’re hopeless. No you don’t get it.
Try again, drone. We know it is a futile effort for you to get the point. But, for your sake of accomplishing something, even though it is so simple would be a great accomplishment for a dumbed down drone.
A Different View of the Occupy Wall Street by Donald Rushkoff
http://www.cnn.com/2011/10/25/opinion/rushkoff-occupy-prototype/index.html?iref=allsearch
But Occupy is anything but a protest movement. That’s why it has been so hard for news agencies to express or even discern the “demands” of the growing legions of Occupy participants around the nation, and even the world. Just like pretty much everyone else on the planet, occupiers may want many things to happen and other things to stop, but the occupation is not about making demands. They don’t want anything from you, and there is nothing you can do to make them stop. That’s what makes Occupy so very scary and so very promising. It is not a protest, but a prototype for a new way of living.
Now don’t get me wrong. The occupiers are not proposing a world in which we all live outside on pavement and sleep under tarps. Most of us do not have the courage, stamina or fortitude to work as hard as these people are working, anyway. (Yes, they work hard.) The urban survival camps they are setting up around the world are a bit more like showpieces, congresses and “beta” tests of ideas and behaviors the rest of us may soon be implementing in our communities, and in our own ways.
The occupiers are actually forging a robust micro-society of working groups, each one developing new approaches — or reviving old approaches — to long-running problems. In just one example, Occupy’s General Assembly is a new, highly flexible approach to group discussion and consensus building. Unlike parliamentary rules that promote debate, difference and decision, the General Assembly forges consensus by “stacking” ideas and objections much in the fashion that computer programmers “stack” features. The whole thing is orchestrated through simple hand gestures (think commodities exchange). Elements in the stack are prioritized, and everyone gets a chance to speak. Even after votes, exceptions and objections are incorporated as amendments.
This is just one reason why occupiers seem incompatible with current ideas about policy demands or right vs. left. They are not interested in debate (or what Enlightenment philosophers called “dialectic”) but consensus. They are working to upgrade that binary, winner-takes-all, 13th century political operating system. And like any software developer, they are learning to “release early and release often.”
“Concensus” lol Adolf would really love this statement. Tryanny of the majority would be more like it. After all 50% plus 1 makes all the descions nice and “democratic.
I’ll pass on thier new ways of doing the same old thing.
Meet the new boss, same as the old boss. Not true Bardolf?
If decisions were one by one and each was just a 51% you would be correct. Imagine voting for 50 proposals and ranking them by voter share.
Outlaw murder 100%, outlaw stealing 97%,… require seat belts 53%, .. and then first instituting the laws with the biggest majorities. After some time has passed (before proposals with a thin majority become actionable) you make 50 new proposals outlaw Bardolf 85%, outlaw Neo 70%, … outlaw marijuana 51%… and insert the ones like outlaw Bardolf above the previous. Iterate.
I’m not saying the OWS is good or bad, nobody knows at this point. It’s just different.
It would seem right now Bardolf, that “blame the jews” ranks pretty close to the 100 % mark.
Again, I will pass on your new way of doing the same old thing.
““blame the jews” ranks pretty close to the 100 % mark.”
And you know that how, exactly? Because some wingnut blogger posted a few pictures of signs? That counts as “pretty close to 100 percent” to you? Evidently you did quite poorly in math class.
Hey, aren’t you guys exceedingly fond of the “it was liberal infiltrators!” excuse when people point out racism in the TP? Well, we already have actual, factual proof of conservative infiltration of OWS, so why don’t you guys use your own excuse here, hmmm? Oh, right…the hypocrisy, that’s why.
LOL, pretty lame there Wallace. Keep up the good work. 🙂
Can’t defend your statement, can you, GMB?
Of course you can’t.
GMB
When the media wants to go after the Tea Party which they don’t understand they accuse it of racism.
Your OWS is currently 100% anti-Jew comment has nothing to do with an actual visit. I wouldn’t rely on the lame stream media for a proper portrayal of anything nowadays.
Wallace Here is the deal. Go to bing.com Type in the search box
“ows anti-semitism”
Enjoy the reading.
Wally make a fool of himself again, : “And you know that how, exactly?”
Uh, wally, it has been shown on the news. The dirty disheveled little punk stating to a Jewish man “because you have all the money Jew.”
Of course, I would not expect you to search this for yourself since you are afraid of truthful fact. You are safe in your little drone world and mindlessly regurgitating dumbed down talking points.
GMB, here is the deal: Go to bing.com. Type in the search box
“tea party racism”
Enjoy the reading.
Good comeback Wallace cant refute facts, charge rascism. Its the progressive way.
You don’t even realize those are your own words, do you, GMB? Geez, that’s tiredoflibbs-level stupidity there. Come on. You’re better than that, fanciful charges of anti-Semitism aside.
That’s certainly an interesting take on OWS.
That take on the OWS reminds me of the Manson family.
Comparing OWS with the Manson family says a lot about YOU and nothing about OWS.
You know what a commune is right? Manson believed in it and so do the OWS protestors. Just pointing out facts barstool
Take for instance this:
Unlike parliamentary rules that promote debate, difference and decision, the General Assembly forges consensus by “stacking” ideas and objections….
That is a commune approach to societal governance. It’s unrealistic, immature, and born of historic ignorance.
“Comparing OWS with the Manson family says a lot about YOU and nothing about OWS.”
They’re seriously scared of OWS, aren’t they?
They’re seriously scared of OWS, aren’t they?
LMAO! Thanks Bodie, that was a good one.
Clueless
Fitting the OWS into YOUR commune idea says more about YOU than about OWS.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kibbutz
Would you compare a Kibbutz with the Manson family?
Stop confusing him with facts, bardolf. That just makes him angrier and more frightened than usual.
Bodie and barstool,
Are you comfortable with the anti-semitism that is on display at OWS?
Same communal concept yes barstool – what’s your point?
Bodie and barstool,
If you two want to live in a frightened, anti-semitic commune, more power to you. I prefer to live in the normal world.
Bardolf, do you really want a catalouge of all the crimes committed by the trash baggers that mansons also committed.
If you agree with above statement about duke then you have to agree with the statement about the mansons.
Guilt by association is a real bitch. It goes all ways or it doesn’t go at all.
Clueless and GMB
Rushkoff, the person who wrote the above piece on OWS is Jewish as are a large number of the supporters of the OWS.
The OWS enjoys large Jewish support? Really.
http://www.newsbusters.org/blogs/nb-staff/2011/10/26/jewish-leaders-join-bozell-s-demand-network-coverage-anti-semitism-occupy-
I would think the blatant anit semitism that is on display at OWS would be enough to turn away a large segment of Jews, but liberals do live in their own world. Enjoy it.
Bardolf, There is absolutely no prohibition on a jew not to be an anti-semie.
Just two examples for you. spooky soros and even spookier chomski.
Next?
“I prefer to live in the normal world.”
You think perpetual fear and ignorance is normal? That certainly explains a lot.
Clueless
Newsbusters is a dirty rag. That you link to it says more about YOU than about OWS.
baldork
then stick to something more you…the pitchfork.
Occhumy we stay…(OWS)…occupy wall street…is nothing but a pack of dogs in heat…the drug use…rampant sex and public nusance….and you think protesting against hard working people who make good money is a just cause…HAHAHAAAA…
socialism sucks
baldork
1500 dirt bag dopers in a city of 10 million is hardly a movement (sans bowels)
Obama: If I Lose Reelection, Government Will Tell People “You’re On Your Own”…
I could only hope that was true. Luckily for the looters and takers of society, establishment repubs have thier back. Don’t want all that bad press and don’t want to be taken off the cocktail party invite list.
http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/politics/2011/10/obama-if-we-lose-in-2012-government-will-tell-people-youre-on-your-own/
we ARE on our own…to seek happiness however we see fit…not to be herded into some government welfare program that pulls the plug on motivation…not to be forced to buy insurance that we may never need…
face it…we been on our own for well over 200 years, ask King George about that…today we fight a burocracy of tyrany that threatens our freedom once again…it is our unalienable right to correct that problem…
The looters and takers don’t want to share. WAH!!!!
“If you’re going to come here and get our food, bedding and clothing, have books and medical supplies for no charge, they need to give back. There’s a lot of takers here and they feel entitled.”
~#OccupyWallStreet Committee Leader
(complaining about the homeless people sharing the camp)
Now he knows how we feel
We had to earn what we have. Everything the ows/nazis/communist have was given to them. So he still does not understand what it is to earn anything in life.
And probably never will.
Why Romney sucks
js03, don’t go pointing stuff like that out. The truth doesn’t matter.
Anyone but bams in 2012!!! not.
they let the media and establishment dictate McCain last go round…
NEVER AGAIN
JS03
good post, that is WHY the marxist media is already declaring him the GOP candidate.
Sorry BUT I stay home with millions of others if this AH “wins”
id just as soon start a write in palin campaign…but if the conservative vote is split…what happens…is worse
js03, it is going to happen anyway. The republicans have not even shown an interest in trying to stop the spread of progressivism. Name one action they have taken since 2001 that has done this.
However, the excuses keep on coming on why they cant. Look at it this way. The longer it is put off the worse it will be. Right now the government is spending money of people who will not be born for another generation.
How many generations of our children do we indebt before the people of this country have had enough?
joe mccarthy…where are you now….
LHO
where are you now?
It seems to me that the current political climate is very toxic, on both sides, and it is not conducive to getting anything done. Part of the problem is the current perception of conservatism that too many people have, and the unrealistic notion of what liberalism is. As a conservative, I would like to see our philosophies of a smaller, more constitutionally administered federal government, a desire for more personal self reliance with STATE administered social safety nets, a robust, less regulated free market, the securing of our borders, lower taxation and continued strong defense, to be articulated in a manner that resonates with everyone – as it should. Conservatism is the path to a more fulfilled personal life and a stronger nation and it’s sad that people are either too stupid, too dishonest, or too indoctrinated to recognize that.
if someone came along and pushed this very thing…under the guise of elimination of the national debt and the recertification of our nations constitutional principals…they would pull a huge chunk of the electorate…
but atlas…nobody has stepped up to the plate…the politically correct are representatives of the corruption that has decayed all of the above…you dont progress into bad social policy…thats devolution….the same thing happened in Rome…the people got fat and lazy…they consented to the academia pushing slothful and deviance…the political corruption over-rode the moral public…and the empire devolved and disolved…
if we dont change course…the same thing will happen here
There used to be gophers and rats at Zucotti Park. The day the trash baggers moved in the last gopher turned to the last rat and said “there goes the neighborhood”
How long will they stay when the snow start falling?
I think it’s heart warming how union members only want fair compensation, and are looking out for the benefit of all Americans.
http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2011-10-26/nurse-making-269-810-demonstrates-california-s-overtime-binge.html
With their “tax the rich” mantra, I think liberals need to direct their anger towards union members:
Among those who got large payouts are a prison doctor who cashed out more than $590,000 of vacation time when he retired, a computer specialist in the Legislature’s legal office who got $61,905 in overtime on top of his $71,560 salary, a psychiatrist for the Developmental Services Department who received $97,700 in extra-duty pay and the head of the state gambling commission, who banked $169,623 in unused holiday pay.
cluster
College tuotion UP 8% THIS YEAR
where is the outrage?
Oh WAIT the doper Pee Baggers want US to pay it for THEM…..
OPM a wonderful thing.
Yet, no one ever calls out “big education”
Er, aren’t public education subsidies one of the things that conservatives want to get rid of? You do know that part of the reason tuitions are rising is that government payouts to educational institutions are falling, right? What exactly is the conservative plan that is going to make education cheaper?
I am looking in the Constitution. I can not find the part that states, “Government shall provide low cost education or free education”
Could you please direct me to the Article and Paragraph?
Clueless
I’ve called out big education on this blog many times and I’m in education. Since 75% of class hours are now taught by adjunct faculty and tenured-faculty pay has been mostly stagnant for the last decade, a critical thinker would wonder why the raise in tuition.
1. As Cory mentioned, cuts from the states and federal government. 2. Bloated administrations. 3. Endless noneducational support for students.
1. Is obvious.
2. Administrators above departments heads have an average tenure at a university of 3 years. THREE years and then they move on to bigger and better. There is 0 Zero Nada in terms of institutional memory and long term planning SO large administrations of sub-sub-sub-deans are used to guarantee stability.
3. Students are expecting college to be a continuation of daycare. There are layers of so-called support services and activities to distract them from learning just like high school. They also work 35 hours per week to have the latest iphone (or other needed item) which detracts from their learning to e.g. add fractions. When they repeat the classes the taxpayers pony up the 85% share again and again and again.
GMB,
I’m not really interested in having that discussion right now so much as pointing out that you can complain about raising tuitions or you can be in favor of cutting all funding to education and making it all private, but you can’t have it both ways. It sounds like you are arguing that we shouldn’t be funding higher education and neo is complaining that we aren’t doing enough to fund higher education, which seemed to be a very atypical conservative position.
Cory, you obviously didn’t understand what you read. Neo was not complaining at all. He was comparing the tuition increase to the supposed greed of wall street and asking why the ows were not protesting it.
Having too much mney is not ok if your last name is Koch. It is ok if your last name is soros or gore. Right?
I don’t get what you are saying. Colleges aren’t increasing tuition to be greedy. They are doing it because their costs have increased and government funding has decreased. In fact, using additional tax money from the rich to subsidize higher education costs seems exactly in line with OWS’s general disposition, insofar as they have one. I remember one protester being held up as conservative commentator’s person who represents all protesters of the day specifically because he said he wanted the rich to pay for his tuition.
I guess I’m not really seeing the double standard.
Neo’s point.
“OPM a wonderful thing.”
Do you need the definition of OPM?
“… tenured-faculty pay has been mostly stagnant for the last decade, a critical thinker would wonder why the raise in tuition.”
I call bullshit on this one; I just analyzed faculty increases for the fourth time in as many years while staff received one increase over the same time period. Faculty reviews and merits are on two or three year cycles and tenured faculty have been given on average 4.5% annualized increases over the past 8 years (it was 6.7% for the five years before that) across all California state run colleges and universities. How much has the average wage-earner’s salary increased over the last four years? Faculty wages are stagnant! my ass.
@Count
I know you rely on the stupidity of the B4V crowd but they aren’t that stupid.
So GMB and Neo and Matt know that a 25% raised 10 years in a row followed by a 100% cut is a 100% cut. They won’t fall for the 25%*10 years – 100% is a 150% raise overall.
I recommend better tricks. You could compare all tenured faculty across the country with just Full Professors at Ph.D. granting private universities e.g. So the average professor in the middle of nowhere is represented with a salary of a full professor at Yale in engineering.
http://www.reclamationsjournal.org/current.html
Is a good start of how the California system really from the students point of view. Here’s what the students (not professors, not administrators had to say).
If you’re enrolled in four college classes right now, you have a pretty good chance that one of the four will be taught by someone who has earned a doctorate and whose teaching, scholarship, and service to the profession has undergone the intensive peer scrutiny associated with the tenure system. In your
other three classes, however, you are likely to be taught by someone who has started a degree but not finished it; was hired by a manager, not professional peers; may never publish in the field she is teaching; got into the pool of persons being considered for the job because she was willing to work for wages around the official poverty line (often under the delusion that she could ‘work her way into’ a tenurable position); and does not plan to be working at your institution three years from now.
This is not an improvement; fewer than forty years ago, when the explosive growth in tuition began, these proportions were reversed. Highly represented among the new precarious teachers are graduate students; with so much available debt, universities can force graduate student workers to scrape by on sub-minimum-wage, making them a great source of cheap instructional labor. Fewer tenure-track jobs mean that recent PhDs, overwhelmed with debt, have no choice but to accept insecure adjunct
positions with wages kept down by the new crop of graduate student-workers. Rather than producing a better-trained, more professional teaching corps, increased tuition and debt have enabled the opposite.
If overfed teachers aren’t the causes or beneficiaries of increased tuition (as they’ve been depicted of late), then perhaps it’s worth looking up the food chain. As faculty jobs have become increasingly contingent and precarious, administration has become anything but. Formerly, administrators were
more or less teachers with added responsibilities; nowadays, they function more like standard corporate managers—and they’re paid like them too. Once a few entrepreneurial schools made this switch, market pressures compelled the rest to follow the high-revenue model, which leads directly to high salaries for in-demand administrators. Even at nonprofit schools, top-level administrators and financial managers pull down six- and seven-figure salaries, more on par with their industry counterparts than with their fellow faculty members. And while the proportion of tenure-track teaching faculty has dwindled, the number of managers has skyrocketed in both relative and absolute terms. If current trends continue, the Department of Education estimates that by 2014 there will be more administrators than instructors at American four-year nonprofit colleges. A bigger administration also consumes a larger portion of available funds, so it’s unsurprising that budget shares for instruction and student services have dipped
over the past fifteen years.

Well Neoconehead is that stupid.
He thinks a professor of mathematics who teaches multivariate calculus for engineers, statistics and a graduate course in stochastic analysis has to justify his position.
At the same time, a parasitic administrative flunky with no demonstrable skills, whose job is to justify the hiring of under qualified adjunct teachers for minimal pay is not a tool of bloated waste.
At least I appreciate the anger management techniques the conehead offers. 🙂

You donkeys thought this was going to your answer to TEA Party. LOL Keep up the good work.
Maybe just maybe an anti-establishmet GOP’er will get elected. Maybe just maybe boehner, cantor and mcconnel will join those 63 donkeyrats that lost thier seats in congress last november on the unemployment lines.
Keep up the protests and thank you very much for the lunatic show.
GMB
So is the ultimate goal of the Tea Party to get people elected or to have fundamental changes occur? If Mitt Romney gets in and NO fundamental change occurs then I would say OWS and the Tea Party have been equally relevant.
Agreed Bardolf, to a point. At the federal level. At the state level however the TEA party has had a much greater effect and most likely will have even greater effect in the next elections.
The federal level is the problem. We elected too many people like Alan West. They talk a good game but vote right along with the establishment on every issue.
GMB
I don’t see much change at any level besides “We got xxx number of candidates elected”. The states don’t send your buddies to die in Afghanistan, don’t run the Dept. of Ed., don’t control the treasury, can’t decide their own drinking age, can’t decide if marijuana should be decriminalized …
The most substantial outcome that I can see from the Tea Party is that at least someone is protesting the reckless spending which will ruin the future generations. Too bad they didn’t exist when Bush was in power, but we can hope they hold the next ‘fiscal conservative’ to his promises.
Bardolf, there were some. A very small minority. The gravy train is hard to jump off of.OPM is a drug harder to break than meth apparently.
But I am sure Mitt or Rick will get us all back on track. Hey they got the magic (R) after thier names.

As Neo would say, if there is a camera, there you will find Jesse!!! I blame the longevity of these has-beens on Bush. If only he hadn’t passed the boondoggle Medicare part D.

why else do you think they have been paying street trash $10 an hour to show up and protest…wino’s…drug addicts…prostitutes…they dont care
js03
I read the story. You did not.
“The former director of New York ACORN, Jon Kest, and his top aides are now busy working at protest events for New York Communities for Change (NYCC). That organization was created in late 2009 when some ACORN offices disbanded and reorganized under new names after undercover video exposes prompted Congress to cut off federal funds.
NYCC’s connection to ACORN isn’t a tenuous one: It works from the former ACORN offices in Brooklyn, uses old ACORN office stationery, employs much of the old ACORN staff and, according to several sources, engages in some of the old organization’s controversial techniques to raise money, interest and awareness for the protests.
Sources said NYCC has hired about 100 former ACORN-affiliated staff members from other cities – paying some of them $100 a day – to attend and support Occupy Wall Street. Dozens of New York homeless people recruited from shelters are also being paid to support the protests, at the rate of $10 an hour, the sources said.
At least some of those hired are being used as door-to-door canvassers to collect money that’s used to support the protests.
Sources said cash donations collected by NYCC on behalf of some unions and various causes are being pooled and spent on Occupy Wall Street. The money is used to buy supplies, pay staff and cover travel expenses for the ex-ACORN members brought to New York for the protests”

Never said you did. However you were used as a foil for something somebody else posted.
Beg pardon.
I still stand on my comparison of the mansons to the ows crowd. I could still do that catalouge of crimes if you wish. I would like to wait a couple of days though. They haven’t murdered any one yet. I want the circle to be completed.
GMB
I welcome YOUR cataloging of crimes. Not a cut and paste from WND or newsbusters or some rag blog.
I’m puzzled by the ‘lazy bum pig’ meme about the OWS, not because it’s false or true since it’s too early to tell but because it’s too easy.
Here is a group of people, GenZ say, which has genetically the same makeup +/- as you or I. They have been raised +/- in the same culture as you or I. What difference is there between GenZ and you which could lead a B4V blogger to say that obviously GMB is committed to doing honest work but the GenZ people are committed to handouts?
I am getting on it. Gotta give me some time though, I have another project going.
I am arranging right now to trick Neo into judging a wet t-shirt contest you see. The contestants are Helen Thomas, Roseanne, Madelin Albright, and the iceing on the cake, the code pinko fatty.
Hope he falls for it. 🙂
GMB
Shhhhhhhhhhhhh on the wet t-shirt contest or someone will think you are a misogynist.
If you could get him to click through on a few of the code pink photos it would be small payback for all he has inflicted in the past. My brain is seared by those photos.
This is my revenge for those pics. If I would of been nice the contestants would have been Jennifer Love Hewitt, Alyssa Milano,
Alesis Bledel, and Sarah Michelle Gellar.
That would be enjoyable.

1. He pleaded not guilty. Do you still believe in the presumption of innocence?
2. By today’s wussy standards, your boy scout leader who looked the other way when the scouts drank a single beer would be put in prison.
Nothing in the story about the 11 year old boys opinion.
3. Of course if Rick Perry gets into office the 11 year old boy can be coerced into getting the HPV vaccine at a cost to the taxpayers of $500.
So I’m going to go with the Mansons are closer to Rick Perry than with the guy in Missoula.
baldork
then barry is more like marx, mao, adolph, amadimmiejob & alinsky?
OK im wit dat
Didn’t the mansons plead not guilty to just about everything too? Do I have to wait until after he is convicted to add it to the list?
That really wasn’t the point. I asked if the mansons had done something like it. I really am not interested all that much in researching the mansons leser crimes.
GMB
Actually NO the Mansons didn’t plead not guilty to everything, e.g. Manson pleaded GUILTY to pimping a girl. Rick Perry admitted he coerced girls into injecting themselves with potential lethal drugs so they could have free sex in the future.
So once again, a guy offering an 11 year old a beer at a campsite is less like Manson than Rick Perry.
dolf, I am seeing an alarming tendency of yours to simply lie. Surely you are not experiencing early onset dementia, or are you? Because that is the only excuse for your blatant untruths.
Example: Rick Perry admitted he coerced girls into injecting themselves with potential lethal drugs so they could have free sex in the future.
This is not just a stupid lie, it is a vicious and libelous lie.
No coercion. No self-injection. No lethality of drugs. No motivation of being able to “have free sex in the future”. NO ADMISSION as you so falsely claim.
One more time, not that facts have any interest for you.
Rick Perry made the decision to take an action which was intended to make an expensive vaccine available to poorer families. By making this vaccination mandatory, through an Executive Order of the governor, insurance companies would be required to include it in their coverage, thereby allowing poorer girls the same access as those from more affluent families.
The vaccine prevents a sexually transmitted disease, a disease which is just as easily transmitted through involuntary sexual contact, such as rape, as through voluntary sexual activity.
Some claims have been made that the vaccine MAY have some negative side effects. These claims have been disputed.
But in any case, any parent could bypass the mandatory vaccination by simply signing a statement of desire to do so.
So. No coercion. No proven lethality. No self-injection. No libidinous motivation. Just a strange, sick, lie from an increasingly strange man.
Amy
There have been stories of girls given the vaccine who developed cancer. Most likely a coincidence, but the word POTENTIALLY lethal applies.
Play word games all you want. As GOP candidate Bachmann said
“We cannot forget that in the midst of this executive order, that there was a big drug company that made millions of dollars from this mandate,” Bachmann claimed. “What I’m saying that it’s wrong for a drug company because the governor’s former chief of staff was the chief lobbyist for this drug company. The drug company gave thousands of dollars in political contributions to the governor. And this is just flat-out wrong.”
As GOP candidate and Medical Doctor Ron Paul said “the worst part of Perry’s decision was not the medicinal part of the decision but how he ignored the legislative branch in mandating the STD inoculation designed to prevent cervical cancer. “That is what is so bad,” Paul stressed. “I made a promise that as President I would never use the executive order to legislate.”
You’re pulling a LEFTY tactic when you defend Perry with the ‘what about rape’ argument. Sad, sad, sad.
In summary, Perry got $ for campaign. Used the old “opt-out” excuse to justify legislating from the executive branch to benefit a drug company. The potential disease is not like e.g. chicken pox which makes sense to keep out of the public schools.
“Just a strange, sick, lie from an increasingly strange man.”
You mean MIchelle Bachmann?
RACIST!!! You Tea Partiers are all racists Kos said so.
Go to a Tea party rally and look for racists. Then go to a ows site and look for anti-semites. Let everyone know your results. Mere charges of rasism trumps videos, pictures, signs and interviews.
Its the progressive way.

Hoft’s Occupy Phoenix Neo-Nazi Previously Attended Tea Party Rallies.
J.T. Ready is not the only white supremacist figure to seek access to the Tea Party. American Third Position, a white nationalist political party founded by racist skinheads, have organized, co-sponsored, or freely distributed literature at no fewer than 10 Tea Party rallies in six states. The group has openly claimed that they see the Tea Party as “fertile ground” for recruitment.
See GMB you can find incontrovertible proof that douche-bags can try to insert themselves into any movement. NOW, I respect Spook based on his posts so MY conclusion is to put mediamatters in the rag category. As Neo said, I’ve got bal$$!
Spook will be along shortly to tell you that those facts don’t count because he doesn’t like them, bardolf.
I have to say I was quite amused by Cory’s and Barstools response to the rising costs of tuition. Cory claims it’s simply a result of lower government subsidies, yet barstool chimed in with a more accurate assessment:
1. As Cory mentioned, cuts from the states and federal government. 2. Bloated administrations. 3. Endless noneducational support for students.
2. Administrators above departments heads have an average tenure at a university of 3 years. THREE years and then they move on to bigger and better.
So in essence what we have is bloated administrations, non educational support and an endless amount of tenured professors, all of which costs students a lot of money which is not at all connected to their actual education. And people like Cory seem to think that this a perfectly acceptable situation. They just need more of my tax payer money, right?
I got an idea – let’s leave the solutions to people who actually understand the problem.
Clueless
How do you get an endless amount of tenured professors out of my statements? I just want to understand how your brain filters information to match predetermined outcomes.
baldork
I just want to understand how your brain filters information to match predetermined outcomes.

dolf, you don’t even understand what you claim to understand, much less anything anyone else says.
Your pissiness about Cluster is really funny. Whassa matter? Lose a “Mine is bigger than yours” contest?
No surprise there.
But I’d be careful about bragging about having “bal$$”—the simpering nature of your posts offers ongoing contradiction of that assertion.
Quite simply, if a tenured professor works for about 3 years, and then moves on, to be replaced by someone else who does the same thing, ad infinitum, this DOES support an observation of “an endless amount of tenured professors”.
Perhaps if you were not so desperate to best Cluster (which has yet to happen and shows no indication of being even a remote possibility) you could take a moment to ponder what has been written and even arrive at an accurate understanding of it before charging off into Pissyville with your silly and ineffective bitch-slaps.
Amy
The number of tenure faculty is decreasing at almost every university in the country. Even at podunk u where you got your mrs degree they are hiring more people like yourself.
That is the are replacing qualified people with self-important no nothings who blather for a semester, hand out all A’s and B’s to the kids and then go back to their horses or real interests.
“Whassa matter?” – LOL another example of your cliched tin ear for actual conversation
dolf, you really should work on this habit you have of simply inventing things about people and then presenting them as fact. All it does is confirm the perception that you are shallow, indifferent to truth, and really really petty.
I assure you, the college I attended was far more prestigious than the “podunk u” where you currently reside as a medium-sized minnow in a comfortably small pond, and I did not meet my husband there, though later when we did meet it turns out that we undoubtedly ran into each other in various classes, on routes to class, etc. But he was a frat rat and I was a hippie chick and we were destined to find each other later in life.
Typical dolf cattiness, though, claiming I only went to “podunk u” to get a husband. You are just full to the brim of ugly stereotypes about women, aren’t you? What, no comment about how I love to buy shoes and purses? You do realize that comments like these serve only to reinforce that metrosexual image, if not tweak it in the direction of effete ignorance of all that is female.
What I commented on was your infantile obsession with trying to best Cluster, which by the way you have absolutely no chance of ever doing, depending as you do on emotion, pettiness, and spite. And you respond with emotion, pettiness and spite.
You seem to have a certain ability with numbers. Good for you. Stick to the very narrow area of expertise where you probably don’t embarrass yourself too often, and stay away from calling attention to your obvious ignorance in others.
