As you know we lost our 24 week old grandchild last night through a premature birth.

    First
I would like to thank all of you for the prayers and kind words they mean a lot.

    Second
we went to the hospital this after noon and we were able to see, hold, and weep over little Tanner, This was totally unexpected but I guess it is what they do today.
We had him for over an hour. The hospital provided a photographer to take pictures of us and the parents holding him wrapped in a blanket.
I know this sounds strange but we had a chance to see him and tell him good bye and will meet him again one day down the road.

    Third
he was a perfectly formed little boy, he was a spitting image of his dad, hair on his head, perfect lips, nose, eyes, fingers, arms, legs, toes, and about 12 inches long.
He was a premature baby not because of defect, but because his mothers water broke and she went into labor, when born his lungs were not yet developed enough to survive outside the womb.

so this brings me to my point (besides thanks to all of you.)

NEVER, EVER, EVER, let any one tell you that a baby in the womb is a “fetus” a “clump of cells” ,etc
that abortion is a choice, a personal matter. These are 99% fully developed human babies, beautiful little defenseless babies.
    abortion is murder.

neo, I am so sorry for the loss your family has endured, and grateful that you shared your story with us. Thank you.

A very dear friend had a nearly identical experience this last summer. Her baby’s umbilical cord wrapped around his neck. Like your family, hers was able to hold him, name him, and say good-bye to him, and it was a moving and healing experience for all.

She once gave me a tiny golden pin, which I wore on everything till I forgot to take it off and it got lost in the wash. It is two tiny feet, perfectly formed, about 1/8 inch long—the size and formation of the feet of the average “fetus” killed by people assisting gestational creatures in the destruction of what is very clearly human life. Your story and hers prompt me to get another, or several. There is a website where you can order them and I will ask her where she got hers.

    [re-post from a previous thread]

It is an age-old story but broken down to the five major points reveals that America has lost understanding of the the first four points and is quickly falling to the fifth which will spell demise for the America I know or knew.

    1. You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity by legislating the wealthy out of prosperity.

    2. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving.

    3. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.

    4. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it!

    5. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that is the beginning of the end of any nation.

“1. You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity by legislating the wealthy out of prosperity.”

An oversimplification. You can legislate the poor out of soul crushing poverty without removing economic incentives to work hard.

“2. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving.”

There are several problems with this. First, most of you are okay with providing for people who can’t work at least some of the time, so this obviously isn’t always a problem for you. Second, some of the time we’re talking about people who are paying into the system sometimes and taking back out of it later, so a lot of the “takers” are cashing in on their contributions. Third, and most importantly, there is the implication that taxation is taking away something somebody worked for. This implies that inherited money is somehow earned, and that a free market has some mystical quality that the amount you earn from it is somehow more right or true than you would in a controlled market. Amazona whines about how liberals have a spiritual fervor to their political beliefs, but belief in the Free Market Almighty strikes me as at least as religious a belief as any other secularly-based political philosophy.

“4. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it!”

What the hell does that even mean. Is the implication that you can multiply wealth if you just make sure rich people have it all?

“5. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that is the beginning of the end of any nation.”

Bring back work-fare and clean up the social security disability system. Make sure the only people who get paid out without something in return is if they actually are sick or injured, and find something else to do for the remainder who still need government assistance. Make them spend some of their time working through job training and the other portion providing whatever they can in return for the assistance. If they have no useable skills at all, they can sit in a room quietly until such time that they have been trained to the point that their work will have some value.

There are alternative solutions to this whole narrative of a bunch of lazy poor people besides taxing them more and taking away their benefits.

        Cory,

Either you are incredibly dense or incredibly stupid. What it means is that you cannot “divide” up all the money and redistribute it evenly to everyone and add any new wealth. I think even Wallace could understand that — well, maybe not.

      • cory's avatar cory November 18, 2011 / 2:50 pm

But in the same mathematical sense, you can’t multiply it by giving it all to a few people, so what are we making a distinction against? He might as well have put “4. You can’t multiply wealth by storing it in a horse stable” for all that the point added to the conversation.

WTF? The war on poverty? How is that going—still losing after 50 years. Maybe we can just make being poor illegal? No one can legislate morality or poverty. People get themselves out of situations not the government. A helping hand, yes, but a permanent way of life like on the Donkocrat’s plantation—no.

“2. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving.”

Might want to read number 3 again and apply it as I have been working since I was 13 (11 really if you count afternoon paper routes) and plan on working till I am in my mid-seventies towards eighty. Nobody gave me anything and I do not take from others anything to which I am not entitled. I would gladly remove the government from handling my “retirement” by just handing me a check (cash preferred) for the full I amount I have been forced to contribute with no interest as I could do better in the next 10 years than they have done in the first 30. What I have earned and spent over the years is mine by my hard labor—not yours, not Pedro’s, and certainly not the governments. What I am forced to give beyond the basics towards taxation is a fine on my productivity and a gift to those who refuse to work. Yes, there are a few that cannot work but very few.

Sit in front of a “handicapped parking” spot one day (which I do not use even after having a total hip replacement) and watch the people getting in and out of the cars and SUVs for a while—I would easily say that if I can hold down a job—they could. One of my best workers was paralyzed from the waist down and took the bus to work every day (Login: Ironsides) while these folks along with their food stamps enjoy the privileges we offered to a few that needed it. The free market works just fine as long as the Government is not in the mix trying to pick winners and losers.

“3. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.

        Seemed to skip this one???

Not even going to respond because you are leaning towards a CCC-type makework program which was a failure years ago but I am sure Obama would bring back to finally crush America as we know it. It is going to take a great deal of time, energy , and a change in mindset that turns America around and in this case I am somewhat glad that I never married and have no children that will have to live through what your generation of slackers wish on this country. I fear for my brother’s children but I am foreseeing a bleak outcome for America.

I just wonder why it appears to be every Socialist’s goal to drag America down to the depths of the typical 3rd world craphole rather than lift the rest of the world to our standards. I know Soros wants this because a discouraged people are easier to control but why do you believe this is beyond my reasoning. Hope it is not because you think you are going to be one of the ruling peoples. In that case you are a bigger fool than even I imagined.

An item of note concerning the New Hampshire primaries. An official complaint was filed on Monday as to whether Barack H. Obama’s name should be on the State’s ballot for the Office of President. The complaint was filed by Dr. Orly Taitz along with four State Representatives of New Hampshire. In as much the complaint states that Mr. Obama is ineligible for the Office. The reasons given are posting a fraudulent document (the birth certificate) on a government website, use of a fruadulent social security #, from Connetticut, forgery of his selective service registration form and not being a natural-born Citizen, as required of the Constitution. The Board of Elections hearing is schueduled for Friday, Nov. 18th.. tomorrow. http://www.thepostemail.com/2011/11/16/elections-complaint-against-obama-to-be-heard-in-new-hampshire-on-november-18

One would think it would apply only to those who believe he was born outside the United States, if at all, but no….these silly fools use it to describe people who wonder why Barry uses a fraudulent SS #, or who wonder why he has to hide his college records, etc.

I remember during the preliminaries of the campaign when the issue of birth came up for McCain who was born outside this country but on US military reservation in Panama.

Was the term birther used to describe them? Or, as in typical liberal fashion, just people asking questions they had the right to ask, or concerned citizens for the rule of law?

The issue could have been put to rest years ago, by obAMATEUR just releasing his information, but instead chose to defend his ability to keep them sealed in the courts.

When a Republican did that (ie Bush and his military records issue) the so called “concerned citizens” all questioned “what is he hiding?”. But they don’t apply the same arguments to their candidates, why is that?

tommy/sasan—-do you have any proof that Obama ever lived in Connecticut, or had any legitimate reason to acquire a Connecticut Social Security number?

Do you have any proof that he uses a SS # other than the Connecticut one associated with him?

Can you quote anyone who has said he “faked” his college grades? I am only familiar with the proven fact that he has gone to great lengths to HIDE his college records, including his grades and the names under which he attended.

You are aware, are you not, that for the first part of his life he DID use a different name? Try to keep up. After all, he addressed this in his books.

I have not said he was not born in the U.S.

I have agreed that there is compelling evidence to support the theory that “natural born citizen” refers ONLY to a person whose parents, or least whose father, was a citizen at the time of his or her birth, and I have stated that I would like a ruling on this as it might impact two of my favorite conservatives, Bobby Jindal and Marco Rubio.

I have not only never said Obama is a “secret” Muslim, I have repeatedly pointed out that according to Islamic law he is quite publicly still a Muslim, having been a Muslim in his youth and thereby unable to renounce the faith—–ACCORDING TO ISLAMIC LAW, you understand, and none other. Again, try to keep up.

The issue is not whether he is or is not a Muslim, as I personally think you are what you want to be, and if he wants to be a Christian then more power to him. I addressed only the word “secret”.

I never said he was a Manchurian candidate.

You only illustrate your abject ignorance and stupidity when you apply the term “birther” to things which have no relationship whatsoever to the man’s birth.

..but that’s also why you’re on the fringe and he will win reelection in a rout over your RINO Romney! – Thomas

Thomas, in your opinion, is the Occupy movement on the fringe, or is it mainstream, as Rachel Maddow thinks?

One thing for sure, if Solyndra and the Dept. of Energy laundering scheme for Obama donors doesn’t lose the election for Obama, the fast & furious scandal will surely hurt him as will the Occupy movement, which is tied to the hip of democrats, not too mention the economic malaise and continued high unemployment. ANYONE that claims Obama will win in a rout, is either a hyper partisan hack, or completely stupid. With Thomas however, I believe it to be a little of both.

    • cory's avatar cory November 18, 2011 / 11:42 am

None of the things you’ve mentioned will have a substantial effect on the election without something big happening in the meantime (either major evidence of wrongdoing or major instances of violence related to OWS). When it comes down to it, you see them all as vindication of your unbridled hatred for the President, but for an independent, they currently range from silly and ignoreable to at worst case cause for mild unease they will happily forget if they think Obama is their best choice for fixing the economy.

      • Cluster's avatar Cluster November 18, 2011 / 1:06 pm

So rape is not a “major instance of violence” related to OWS? How about shooting at the White House? Any comments on that? The OWS crowd is the base of the democratic party, and their antics over the last month, have not gone unnoticed by the majority of clear thinking voters.

Secondly, I know you desperately want to label anyone that disagrees with this administration as harboring “unbridled hatred” towards the One We Have All Been Waiting For, but it’s just not the case. I could not care less about Obama personally, what I do care about is his lack of leadership and inexperience, that has sent this country into a downward spiral.

      • cory's avatar cory November 18, 2011 / 1:48 pm

I don’t mean to minimize the severity of rape, but I was speaking specifically with regard to mass violence of some type, rather than several incidents.

And there are plenty of people who disagree with the President without assuming that everything he ever does is wrong. I do so frequently. But I’m not claiming that all people who disagree with him are far right partisan hacks, just people like you, who are so desperate to have him out of office that they are absolutely convinced that every “scandal” no matter how relatively unimportant and/or not directly linked to the President, is the next great reason to throw him out of office.

      • cory's avatar cory November 18, 2011 / 2:36 pm

You are begging the question. If either of those things were demonstrably true, a whole lot of people would be upset. But thus far, the case has only been made strongly enough to convince people who think Obama is a lying cheat, anyway, so we’re not at that point.

And I care not at all what Whoopi Goldberg has to say about much of anything much less rape charges unrelated to her.

        “Cory,

Just out of curiosity, what DO you think would have to happen for Obama to lose the election? Secondly, what do you think he’s accomplished that a significant number of people want more of?”

Lots of things. We keep seeing lots of polls seeing that a significant number of contenders in the Republican primary would already beat Obama if the election were held today. It’s more a question of what Obama needs to do to keep office, and that’s one big thing that I aleady mentioned: convince people that he’s a better option for fixing the economy than his opponent. The surest path would be for the economy to grow substantially in the next year, but modest growth plus a well-run campaign could do it, too.

That really answers your second question, as well. If he can convince people that he’s helped the economy, that’s what a significant number of people will want to see more of.

There are other answers to both questions, really, but I think they are significantly less likely to be a major factor. If somebody gets hands on a memo showing that Obama was trying to gain points in the gun control debate by sending guns to Mexico (which is a pretty ridiculous notion in my mind, but let’s hypothesize), that might mean that the Republican candidate ends up running against a completely different Democrat. But those are pretty long shots to hang your hat on.

What’s he done so far that leads you to believe that he’s a better option to fix the economy? His record to date has been abysmal. More importantly, what would lead you to believe, or even hope, that we’ll have any significant economic growth in the next 12 months?

Ultimately, I think any economic progress we make in the months ahead won’t be due to Obama. No matter where you fall on the political spectrum, it should be apparent that our current set of politicians are very good at collectively preventing anything at all from changing in any meaningful fashion. But that’s irrelevant to the discussion. The question is whether things like Solyndra and Fast and Furious have any real chance of swaying opinions on Obama with the current amount of evidence linking him to wrongdoing in either case, and my answer is no, Cluster is going to be sorely disappointed if that’s what he’s hoping.

You know, the fussy old lady who just can’t understand why her neighbors go out on their boat every weekend, or the harried father who can’t understand why another family chooses to drive across the country on their vacation and spend all that time together.

Whenever I see one of these ads, I think of the corys, who are totally bumfuddled at the very idea that anyone could make any political decision based on anything but emotion.

The fact that there are millions of people, right here in this country, who are not controlled by spasms of irrational emotion but who actually have and understand objective political principles and apply them when deciding who they do and do not support seems to be completely incomprehensible to cory and his ilk.

He, and they, simply have to try to apply their own irrationality to what we think and do, because that is the only thing that they can relate to. Therefore, if we object to the policies and politics of Obama, to cory and his ilk we really just HAAATE him.

They offer us constant peeks into the odd mentality of the emotion-driven, which in their case is so often hostile and hateful emotion at that.

As well as overwhelmingly negative. Note that they never have anything good to say, even about their own guy or political preference, focusing exclusively on snarling attacks on the many many things they apparently despise.

The Democrats continue to demonstrate not only their complete lack of regard for ethics, but also a disturbing and shameless disregard for their own political mantra – “pay their fair share” – as we see that many democratic honchos showed up to a $5000 a plate fundraiser for tax cheat Charlie Rangel:

“Last night marked a momentous evening in my campaign for re-election,” Rangel wrote in a letter to supporters on Thursday. “At a special event in Washington, Democratic leaders including Nancy Pelosi, Steny Hoyer, James Clyburn, Sandy Levin, John Conyers, Emmanuel Cleaver, and Steve Israel stood by my side and pledged their unwavering support on my behalf. I am so humbled and grateful for their involvement.”

The Elections Comission decided today to accept Barack Obama’s paperwork and $1,000 dollar check by placing his name on the ballot for President. They did hear arguements from several State Representatives, yet claimed they were not concerned with crimmial allegations. Then they had a lawyer read the Comissions lawful responcabilities which were to determine if the paperwork was lawfully completed and then the paperpushers pushed the paperwork back to the Secretary of State. Most likely there will also be a, “breach of trust” following swiftly along behind with the paperwork. http://obamareleaseyourrecords.blogspot.com/2011/11/new-hampshire-elections-committee-rules.html

Rhuh roh, the would-be Obama assassin was a Christian who thought Obama was the anti-Christ. No OWS tie at all, but a HUGE tie to the Tea Party:

Scenes From A Tea Party as covered by the Minnesota Independent.

Sorry, Tea Partiers, you OWN this guy.

    • Amazona's avatar Amazona November 19, 2011 / 10:30 am

A HUGE tie to the Tea Party

If by HUGE you mean nonexistent except in the feverswamp of radical Leftists who hate something they don’t even understand. That list of ignorant bigotries includes the 21st Century American Conservative Movement and the TEA Party.

The very moment the reports came in about shots being fired at the White House, we knew there would be a frantic scramble among the most mindless and the most callous of the RRL to try to link them to the Right, especially to the TEA Party.

What with your history of violent mobs being replayed on the stage of current events in the U.S., the rabidly radical Left needs to find a way to link this peaceful, nonviolent, law-abiding, cleans-up-after-itself movement to something, ANYTHING, which might lessen the contrast between it and the unruly, unwashed, uncivil, uneducated, rabble which is increasingly coming to define the far Left.

So sorry that hasn’t worked out for you.

      • Cluster's avatar Cluster November 19, 2011 / 11:06 am

I got a good laugh out of bozo’s post as well, and it plays right into the left’s narrative on OWS, and why I enjoy watching MSNBC for this very reason. The left has been very supportive of OWS and has been quick to diminish the rapes, thefts, and other assorted crimes associated with OWS to a “fringe” element that is “not representative of the movement”. HOWEVER, absent any real or perceived crimes on behalf of the tea parties, bozo and other leftists, jump at the chance to associate this lunatic with the “mainstream” of the tea party, and actually claim it with a straight face. That either takes a hell of a con job, or a very high level of delusion.

      • Retired Spook's avatar RetiredSpook November 19, 2011 / 11:29 am

        Cluster,

The tactic of OWS to attempt to cover up and internalize crimes of rape, theft, abuse, etc., isn’t a new concept.

      • Cluster's avatar Cluster November 19, 2011 / 11:44 am

The disparity of the OWS to the Tea Party is striking, and the media’s coverage of the two movements is equally abhorrent. The media looked high and low for any unfavorable element to the Tea Party, and in the near absence of that, they fabricated some, however when it comes to the OWS, they (the media), go out of their way to ignore and deflect the blatant prejudice, hate, and criminal behavior and instead choose to offer fluff pieces on the movements “message”.

My question is – does the media, and the left, really think they are fooling anyone?

Meanwhile, we have Fox News pushing the meme that the White House shooter had ties to OWS. They repeatedly ran a photo of the guy with the headline “‘OCCUPY’ SHOOTER” and discussed it with the likes of Michelle Malkin under the same headline. Fox News host Bret Baier also linked the shooter to OWS, saying, “Hernandez reportedly spent time with the Occupy D.C. protesters.

Fox Nation still has an article up titled “Man Linked to ‘Occupy” Protests Charged With Attempted Assassination of Obama.”

Yes, the media is covering itself in glory, as usual.

    • Cluster's avatar Cluster November 19, 2011 / 1:11 pm

Even the liberally acclaimed NYT is reporting that watson:

Late on Friday, the police searched the Occupy DC protest camp, on McPherson Square just blocks from the White House, after reports that the suspect might have spent time there.

So there were reports that the shooter did attend OWS – are you saying that the media should ignore those reports?

      • watsonredux's avatar watsonredux November 19, 2011 / 1:51 pm

I’m saying that some of the media, Fox News in particular, are disingenuously portraying the shooter as linked to OWS. Yes, there was an Occupy DC protest. Yes, the FBI investigated, and “have found no connection between him and the Occupy protesters, according to three law enforcement officials familiar with the case.”

Meanwhile, Fox continues to make it appear that he is linked to OWS, if not a part of it. What would the headline “‘OCCUPY’ SHOOTER” make you think?

If there was a TEA Party protest going on in DC around that time, do you think the FBI would have investigated to see if this clown had attended? After all, his belief that President Obama is the anti-Christ is shared by other TEA Party folks–we know that because they tell us so. And if the FBI found no connection, you would have no objection of MSNBC portraying the shooter as the “‘TEA PARTY’ SHOOTER”? Of course you would.

My point is that you all portray the media as one sided. That the “main stream media” is inherently dishonest, implying that the other media, which would presumably include the likes of Fox News, is not. And obviously they _are_ dishonest.

  12. watsonredux's avatar watsonredux November 19, 2011 / 1:11 pm

And where did this guy get the idea that Obama is the anti-Christ?

I suppose he could have looked right here on B4V because the president has been referred to as the anti-Christ numerous times in the comments of posts.

Or he could have watched Glenn Beck’s Fox News show, in which Glen Beck asks Pastor John Hagee if Barack Obama is the anti-Christ.

Or maybe he’s a follower of Douglas Levesque, founder of the Michigan-based Bible Nation Society.

Or maybe he heard “Yes we can” played backwards, which suspiciously sounds like “Thank you Satan.” Yes, that is actual “evidence” that some claim supports the theory that Obama is the anti-Christ. And Paul is dead, in case you didn’t know.

Or maybe he just went to a TEA party rally:

But no. I’m sure you all think he got the idea by mingling with some OWS protesters.

    • Cluster's avatar Cluster November 19, 2011 / 1:15 pm

      Watson,

You seem really defensive about this guy, who many of us conservatives even chalk up to as just a lunatic – why is that? Why are you so desperately trying to put distance between this guy and OWS? Or furthermore, trying to hitch this guy with the right wing?

This doesn’t pass the smell test.

      • watsonredux's avatar watsonredux November 19, 2011 / 1:53 pm

And yet here you are Thomas using someone elses screen name. That is the action of a troll. That is the action of someone who is petty.

Get your own life Thomas and quit using other people as a crutch there Mr. Grueneberg. Unless you do agree that imitation is the highest form of flattery.

interesting character you are. making accusations without evidence is one thing, trying to engage in debate is another.

“you are a consistently vile, uninformed, uneducated, and idiotic person ”
“I look forward to your uneducated response.”

        PRICELESS!!!!!

On this thread we have seen quiet a few deleted posts from Thomas and Wallace. As we get closer to election time this kind of behavior is only going to get worse online and in real life. The ows kind of crowd, despite what they say, are not going to let bams go out quietly.

Even Romney Mitt has a chance at winning the pesidency this year. That is how bad things are going for the big government statist progressives. Instead of going out quietly, they will make as much noise as possible and the legacy media will carry as much water for them as possible. It will not help. They know they are doomed to defeat next november.
The only problem is will the defeat be more symbolic than substantianial?

What will happen when bams goes down to defeat? Your guess is good as mine.
    Be prepared.

      Green,

banning people simply means you can’t debate them, or refute their ideas and posts.

It is the weakest thing one can do. But we here on the left don’t expect anything less from conservative evangelicals.

Your opinion of the media is bogus and false. your opinion of OWS is bogus and false. If anything Timothy Davis, your kind of politics and your kind of ideas are dying out slowly with your generation.

And not a moment to soon.

No, James, banning people from this blog means maintaining a basic level of decency. Anyone can see opposing points of view here even when they are expressed in purely emotional terms but we draw the line at overt profanity, glee over personal tragedy, wishful thinking regarding violence toward other posters, and a variety of behaviors we find unacceptable for this blog. You may think using different names will allow you to remain here but it will not. You contribute nothing but insults and hatred and to claim you are banned because no one can refute your ideas and posts is simply a lie. //Moderator

fortunately it is your liberal ideas that are dying off with the rest of the evil systems. and none to soon.

James, both Thomas and Wallace have been given many opportunities to engage in civil discourse. Both however do not require many posts before they descend into personal attacks and name calling. Both have used many different screen names with the same result.

I would suggest you try being a conservative on motherjones, daileykos, or littlegreenfootballs, before you lecture anyone about banning. I find your arguments disingenuous and lacking in credibility. You are more than welcome to go away and never post here again if you will.

    I can dream too, can’t I? 🙂

You are devolving quickly. I would have given this new sockpuppet of yours at least a week. You will be lucky to last out the day.

      Have fun! 😛

P.S. Moderator. You do know you can ban by ip addy in wordpress?

IP addresses are constantly changing. It is easier to just look at posts and delete them as they come in. Help from bloggers in identifying identity theft will help. //Moderator

OCCUPY PROTEST AND ISLAMIC SUPREMACISTS: TOGETHER AT LAST
        http://atlasshrugs2000.typepad.com/atlas_shrugs/2011/11/video-ows-occupy-america-leftists-and-islamic-supremacists-united-.html

        Remember H. Rap Brown?

He was infamous as a member of the Black Panther Party during the 1960s. Well, he’s back! Now he is known as Jamil Abdullah Al-Amin (born October 4, 1943, as Hubert Gerold Brown).

He is leader of the “Ummah” (“the brotherhood”), a group of mostly African-American converts to Islam, which seeks to establish a separate Sharia-law governed state within the United States.[Per Atlas Shrugged]

        Ah, yes; together at last.

“On November 18th, 2011, Muslims held a rally in New York City. The point of the rally was supposedly to protest the NYPD’s surveillance of the Muslim community. As the rally progressed, however, Muslim leaders acknowledged that they share the goals of the Occupy Wall Street Movement, especially seizing and redistributing wealth. Indeed, Muslims claimed that the redistribution of wealth is commanded by Allah.”

I guess the excuse is that it can’t be wrong or a crime if Allah commands it be done. Murder, mayhem, rape, and now pillaging – all OK if you do it for Allah.

Serving a life sentence for committing murder evidently is no barrier in Islam to leading a religous group:

” H. Rap Brown, was chairman of the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee in the 1960s, and during a short lived (six months) alliance between SNCC (Then known as the Student National Coordinating Committee), later the Justice Minister of the Black Panther Party. He is perhaps most famous for his proclamation during that period that “violence is as American as cherry pie”, as well as once stating that “If America don’t come around, we’re gonna burn it down”. He is also known for his autobiography Die Nigger Die!. He is currently serving a life sentence for the 2000 shooting of two Fulton County Sheriff’s deputies, one of whom died.”
