I would rather spend two hours with a life insurance salesman.
Make that four hours.
Even if they promised to give you a plane ticket, a rental car, and a hotel room in Hawaii for a week — and threw in a set of luggage, a microwave, and a year’s supply of Dunkin’ Donuts coffee (and I really like Dunkin’ Donuts coffee).
Wow, that’s some insightful political commentary there, Matt. How… grown up.
Why do you even have this blog anymore? What is its purpose?
The truth is hard to handle. For some people.
GMB, you’re in the same league as Matt, I guess. I see Matt updated his original post to include the quip about a lying douche bag. I guess that’s his insightful commentary.
A good league to be in.
In addition I will add, most of the speech is a work that Herr Göbbles would be proud of. A masterful work of half truths and out right lies meant for the masses of the party faithful.
Hey Watson. . . its commentary at least as insightful as anything Obama has to say, and it has the additional virtue of being true, unlike anything Obama has to say.
wapstooge
Why do you even have this blog anymore? What is its purpose?
why do you come here? what is the purpose?
let me be the first to wave AMF to you moron.
Tell a lie to make a conservative mad. Tell the truth to make a liberal mad.
It was a great speech if you discount all of the things he said that aren’t true.
Oh, my. Herman Cain is giving the rebuttal for the Tea Party. That’s both hilarious and sad. spook, seriously?
wapstooge
yeah it should have been the impeached Klintoon, or the disgraced FRAUD kerry, or maybe the homosexual bwany fwank from his apt of ill repute.
talk about sad….
Watson, what’s wrong with Herman Cain, and how did my name get into the mix?
Should have been Pee Wee Herman or Anthony Weiner?
pee wee – weiner?
you’re thinking of dennis.

How the hell is Marky Mark doing these days and when the hell is he coming out with his book?
Bardolf. You are right. Very off topic. You drinking on a tuesday night? I mean drinking too much?
GMB
I drink very little, not even the doctor recommended glass of wine per day. I thought about Mark because I have been reading more of late. Going through commentaries on the shorter epistles, even reading history to understand Phillipians.
Am teaching a course in compression algorithms to EE majors which is quite fun but demanding. Have the garden all tilled, but am undecided about whether to add compost from the city. My soil is sandy but I don’t want to add who knows what to the mix just yet. Could buy bags from the Home Depot but that seems wasteful.
baldork
are they lossless or lossy ?
dolf, there are plenty of sources in your area for cow or horse manure. If you call around you can probably find some that has been aged and composted, which won’t contain the kinds of contaminates you might find in city sludge.
See if you can find a place with a lot of chicken poop. It’s great fertilizer, but I like composted horse and cow manure for the volume and amount of organic material it puts into sandy or clay soils.
@neoconehead
lossy compression with an explanation on the trade off, would like to offer a course on compressed sensing, a recent topic where e.g. the cameras gather less info since they will discard lots of it anyway when saving to memory, alas the EE don’t know enough convex optimization
@Amazona
thanks a lot
GMB: “The truth is hard to handle. For some people.”
True, but not terribly insightful. It obviously is hard for Matt – and his post begs the question, why should there never have been a first state of the union speech by President Obama? After all, his election was not even close – as the ascendency of his predecessor was. Should the will of the American people have been disregarded to indulge Matt’s petty partisanship?
I was reminded this evening of the SOTU addresses by the former president. The contrast could hardly be greater. We have a dignified executive who is comfortable with the vocabulary and cadences of our proper language, who does not preen and strut when applauded. And I found very few instances tonight where I could take issue with the fundamental truth of what was being said. Such a contrast from four or six years ago.
We are a nation profoundly divided and at war with itself. Attitudes such as Matt’s above, wedded to an incorrigibly adolescent mindset, feed this pathology and defy all the better tendencies of the American spirit. I am sorry for him.
Like I said, meant for the masses of the party faithful. Yes he speaks well, he should thank our Lord for the invention of the telepromter.
Green, it doesn’t take being a “party faithful” to note the marked contrast between this executive and our previous one.
As for policies, I don’t feel Obama rates so much as a “Blogs4Obama” website – to the contrary he deserves persistent and thoughtful critics. What no legitimately elected American president deserves is being called a “douchebag” by some smart-ass juvenile whippersnapper without the intellectual or moral substance of a gnat.
Right, Green. He should have just showed up with no written text at all and winged it.
That right denny, all the pResidential insults are saved for when a Republican is President.
That’s right you cannot compare Bush’s record to obAMATEUR’s/ Bush had a far better one. obAMATEUR’s record has been stagnation and prolongation. His policies have done nothing to “save” the economy but prolong the misery that culminated during his tenure.
All economic indicators are worse than when he took over AFTER his solutions (which he still want more) were implemented. All the rhetoric of It’s Bush’s fault can’t be applied anymore. He has been pResident for three years and has no successes what-so-ever. His own economic advisors state that the economy is where it should be if he had done NOTHING!!! It shows you that his “solutions” are a massive failure and the economy is HIS FAULT. His non-existent leadership is his failure alone, but he still tries to blame others.
GMB, with great respect, I still want to make a minor correction to your comment “Yes he speaks well”.
I humbly suggest a revision, to state “Yes he READS well” as we have learned that when he is on his own he does not speak well at all.
That makes it a reading, not a speech. Has O ever given a speech?
Well said, Dennis. What is amazing is that he still genuinely wants to work with Republicans. He honestly believes that, like the SEAL team who carried out the raid to kill OBL, that all Americans can work together in common purpose.
Unfortunately, Matt’s disrespectful tone (and others here) are the core of the GOP today. They put their party above nation and refuse any compromise or willingness to work with the other side. Hopefully, once Pres. Obama wins re-election, the GOP leaders will finally decide to work together with the Democrats in the interest of the American people.
Haven’t heard from you lately, Coulter. I figured you had died, Guess not — too bad.
but coulty, obAMATEUR’s idea of “working together” is giving him what he wants.
His latest “all or nothing” proposals are an indication of that exact expectation. He pays lip service to reaching across the aisle. But, when it comes down to it, his actions and words to those actions betray his true intentions.
Plus, coulty, the Democrats’ ideas of respecting the office of the presidency was to say they do respect the office but not the man. We saw this extensively during the Bush Presidency. Don’t be a hypocrite.
Somebody’s been turning over rocks…we’ve suddenly got coulterfan and rico popping up, and Vel’s gotten her bile tank topped off and is ready for sliming.
I forgot the quote about great minds discussing ideas and small minds discussing people, Amazona. Could you refresh my memory?
dennistooge
We are a nation profoundly divided and at war with itself. Attitudes such as Matt’s above, wedded to an incorrigibly adolescent mindset, feed this pathology and defy all the better tendencies of the American spirit. I am sorry for him.
DO YOU EVER?????? read articles from the left??
not just hate, but vile venom mixed with histaria, and violence.
a Lying douchebag? good for a start.
I was pleasantly surprised by Governor Daniels response speech when he said that the President deserves to be treated with respect as the occupant of and the office of the presidency. That seems to be something Republicans have completely forgotten – respect and decency. He also praised the President’s work on education and his strong family values. Not to say he didn’t criticize the President on many other areas, however, he was civil. That was to be expected. I certainly did not expect the Republican speaker to come out and say the President gave a great speech (which he did) and that he supports the President’s programs and policies. However, why the Republican cannot get a person of the caliber of Daniels to run for president of the United States is beyond me. Instead you have a group running who are in no way qualified for the office. Must be frustrating for most conservatives to have to chose from the pathetic selection you have again this year.
I believe the OFFICE of the presidency should be treated with respect. The occupier of that office should not be immune to criticism or analysis.
I remember the vile personal attacks on President Bush, then and now, and remember Velma as a lead snarling attack dog. He was accused of sending our young men and women off to die just to allow his old oil buddies the chance to make money.
Or does the ugly phrase “Blood For Money” sound unfamiliar to you?
Even his wife and daughters were routinely attacked. Surely we remember seeing the RRL call Laura Bush a “murderer”—based on the tragic traffic accident of her youth, when a good friend was killed. Surely we remember the horrible slurs on Barbara and Jenna for drinking in a bar when they were underage. Not drinking too much, though that was implied, but just ordering drinks. (Closely supervised, you understand, by their ecret Service detail, which allowed them a little leeway to act like normal teenagers but who could also testify that there was no other misbehavior involved.)
“Profiteer” “draft dodger” “AWOL” “chicken hawk” and on, ad nauseum—the stuff of RRL personal attacks on not only the President but his family and the Vice President.
I suggest that the personal commentary on Obama has been quite mild by comparison, and furthermore based on his actual words and actions, not on vicious inventions and distortions.
Must be frustrating for most conservatives to have to chose from the pathetic selection you have again this year.
Must be terrifying to realize that any one of them would be such a vast improvement over Barry and the Boyz that even the worst of them would come as a relief and godsend to the nation.
However, why the Republican cannot get a person of the caliber of Daniels to run for president of the United States is beyond me.
Why not ask him? Or at least look at the reason he gave—his family just did not want to be the targets of the vile, vicious, unprincipled, shameless, lying Left smear machine.
I certainly did not expect the Republican speaker to come out and say………. that he supports the President’s programs and policies…
Yet you have no clue whatsoever about WHY he did not say this. Because you have no clue whatsoever about the real meaning of politics, which is the philosophy of the best way to run the country.
The Right is the Right because it has a vision, a philosophy, of the best blueprint for governing the nation that is diametrically opposed to the big-government, top-down, massive-federal-control vision of Obama and the Left.
Duh.
If Daniels agreed with Obama, he would be a Lefty.
Duh.
You people are so ignorant that you can’t even grasp the reasons for disagreement. Because you base YOUR position on feelings, you assume everyone else is equally empty-headed.
Wrong. The Right does not agree with “..the President’s programs and policies..” because we believe they are WRONG. Not because he is black, not because we “hate” him, not for any of the silly and often vicious reasons you make up for us, but because his vision for the nation is the opposite of what we believe is the best way to govern the nation.
You seem to like Daniels because he was nice to the President, but there is no doubt that if he was one of our candidates for the nomination you would be savaging him with the same glee that accompanies all your vile personal attacks.
We are a nation profoundly divided and at war with itself
Well, not so much as Barry and the Boyz would like you to believe, and not nearly as much as they would it to be, but yes, there are divisions in this nation.
How much of this do you think is due to the insistence on describing Americans according to demographic divisions instead of merely as Americans? The Left is insistent on categories for people, on focusing on “African Americans” and “Latinos” and “Gays” and “the poor” and so on, a tactic which dismisses individuality and lumps people together according to superficial characteristics.
How about an attitude of us being “AMERICANS”?
And just who has worked so hard to first create these demographic divisions and then turn them against each other? Who has tried to turn some Americans against others by falsely maligning a political ideology as “domestic terrorism” and “racist”? Who has encouraged one of these demographic groups, “Latinos”, to think of other Americans as their “enemies” and to turn against them”
Who was attracted to a church by its anti-white, anti-American rhetoric and remained involved with it, and its viciously racist pastor, who openly encouraged one demographic, black people, to hate and distrust and turn against another, that of white people?
It is a tactical maneuver to make a bombastic speech about coming together as Americans, and decrying divisions among us, but it is blind and foolish to accept this and ignore the obvious and ongoing efforts of this same person, personally, and his agents and surrogates and entire political movement, to CREATE these divisions.
Yeah right, that Mussolini pose of his is so refreshing!
denny the drone: “why should there never have been a first state of the union speech by President Obama?”
Well, he sold a false persona while running for pResident and fooled a lot of people. He ran as a new kind of politician, not an insider, “yes we can”, “hope and change” yada, yada, yada. He took office and pResident obAMATEUR revealed his true nature – the typical liberal politician, spend spend spend, big government programs and regulations, and now is trying to tax the rich.
The press did a piss poor job of vetting him. Instead they fell in love with him and did everything they could to get him elected. Many are still trying to protect him.
If they had done their IMPARTIAL and OBJECTIVE job, he may not be pResident now.
That was not so hard to figure out. It is not rocket science, but to you breathing might as well be.
I don’t understand why there is no one, republican or democrat who has the courage and the authority to really challenge Obama to prove that he has the right to be on the ballot as a candidate for the office of President of these United States. The republicans and the media seem very willing to challenge their candidates to reveal their tax reports or other significant papers, but Obama is allowed to hide some of the basic papers that would prove where he was born, his citizenship status as a student, and his legitimate social security number. Why is he allowed to get away with doing this? Anyone who even makes a gesture to challenge his claim to have been born in Hawaii is quickly labelled a “birther”, and they soon slink away rather than persist in the challenge. The republican candidates seem to be willing to challenge Obama on his record as President, but no one seems willing to challenge him on his legal right to hold that office or to be a candidate for another term. Even Ron Paul, who seems to be so committed to the application of the Constitution to the operation of our government, seems to be unwilling to apply its rules to Obama. Our political campaigns seem to be more “popular” than really legal. November may be too late to settle this issue!
DIGNIFIED?
LOL.
Like the petty little slap last time at the supreme court justices sitting in front of him? That sort of Dignified? Doesn’t preen and strut? Are you watching some alternate video feed of mr nose-in-the-air Obama?
I could pull a long winded reply like some others are want to do and pick this speech apart paragraph by paragraph but I will stick with just one.
“We should start with our tax code. Right now, companies get tax breaks for moving jobs and profits overseas. Meanwhile, companies that choose to stay in America get hit with one of the highest tax rates in the world. It makes no sense, and everyone knows it. ”
Sure they do. Just ask that Immelt fella that used to work at GE and now is a barky crony about the taxes that company paid last year.
Meanwhile, companies that choose to stay in America get hit with one of the highest tax rates in the world. It makes no sense, and everyone knows it. ”
Let me get this straight: Is Obama actually agreeing that the high corporate tax rate in this country “makes no sense” and is a reason for declining American production?
In other words, is he finally right about something?
More to the point, is he suggesting that this tax rate be lowered, to make America more competitive with nations whose corporate tax codes DO “make sense”?
I think you’re both right — domestic corporate tax rates need to be lowered, and both “foreign” and “domestic” corporate tax rates need to be equalized.
dear matt
your post is lovely
because now one can use the d-bag word profusely on this site
and not have the post removed due to foul language???
::))
thanks for setting this douche’y precedent
Wow, did anyone actually watch the speech tonight.I was too busy cleaning the refrigorator. Let me guess what he said. It’s not his fault.
wow, tommy-boy you are learning. That is right! obAMATEUR stuck with his usual themes. The state of the union is not his fault but everyone else’s from Bush to the Arab Spring to the tsunami and earthquakes in Japan…. but not his policies….no.
“Now, you can call this class warfare all you want. But asking a billionaire to pay at least as much as his secretary in taxes? Most Americans would call that common sense.”
You mean like your crony Warren?
What a friggen hypocrite. As long as those deep pockeks keep putting money into the barky machine it is fine and dandy.
Your wrong Mr.Sotero, your speech was nothing but class warfare, against the class of people that won’t pony up for your and her excellencys lavish lifestyle.
“asking a billionaire to pay at least as much as his secretary in taxes? Most Americans would call that common sense.”
You mean like your crony Warren?
—————————————————————————
You’ve picked the wrong crony, GMB. This particular one has no problem with changing the tax code.
http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2012-01-23/buffett-blames-congress-as-romney-pays-15-tax-for-shoving-around-money-.html
OB, as usual you have no clue and regurgitate useful idiot talking points.
Buffet and the article you cite are discussing two different tax rates. The tax rates they want to raise are income tax rates and not the 15% capital gains taxes that they currently pay. They are comparing apples to oranges. Buffet has no problem raising INCOME TAX rates.
But is does make for good politics and mindless dumbed down talking points for the useful idiots of the left.
As my friend Neo so often and so rightfully points out every so often 47% of all Americans pay no income tax. They have nothing invested in thier country.
It is time for an alternative minimun federal income tax instead of this eitc wealth redistribrution program. It is time for everyone to pay thier “fair share”
Socialism, communism, fascism, has failed everywhere it has been implemented but you guys will get it right this time right?
Right?
cO
as usual see ARGUING with IDIOTS pg 13-69
Warren lied. “What??!!!” you say in amazement. A crony of Barry’s, no doubt giddy over the latest plum handed to him, said an actual UNTRUTH ??? Awww, say it ain’t so!
But it is. He said But I do fault a law that allows him and me earning enormous sums to pay overall federal taxes at a rate that’s about half what the average person in my office pays.”
Tsk tsk, Warren. For shame. You know, if you had just said this one time, and let it percolate around among the economically illiterate and the utterly stupid, you might have gotten away with it. But you were so pleased with your deception that you insist on repeating it, and this is how you made the mistake of taking it into outright LIE territory.
The lie is in the phrase “OVERALL TAXES”. OVERALL TAXES would be the 35% or so paid on the original earned income, added to the 15% capital gains tax paid on the income from the money INVESTED out of the net earned income.
NET earned income.
Now, to take this a little far from Warren’s lie, let’s look at the Romney money that has the terminally envious and resentful Left in such a tizzy. He made about 22M in unearned income—that is, either from capital gains or dividends. Of that he paid more than $3M in federal taxes—not sure about state, but probably about 5-6%. He gave about three and half million to charity. As a Mormon, he probably tithes, so that is another $2.2M off the top, if not more, as he has shown a pattern of giving more than the minimum to his church. So let’s subtract $9.2M to $10M from $22M, just to get a general idea of what is left.
That would leave Mitt and family with about $12.8M-$12M to play with. We can guess that his house, etc. carry no debt, so there is this money free and clear.
Unlike Kerry, Romney does not appear to live lavishly—no string of mansions around the world, no multiple staffs or garages full of vehicles on call at these places, so there probably isn’t much money going there. There is certainly no liquor bill or gambling expense, or Starbucks budget.
It’s hard to spend a million bucks a year when you don’t travel lavishly, have several huge houses, etc. but let’s say he does spend a million out of that $12M.
Now, what do you think he does with that leftover $11M or so? Bury it in coffee cans in the back yard? (Or whatever Mormons use instead of coffee cans–they don’t use caffeine.)
Got it in one, laddies—HE INVESTS IT. He puts it back into the economy. He makes that money available, to venture capital funds to fund new businesses, to publicly held companies to expand or develop new products, etc.
So he paid about 35% on a lot of money, and invested a lot of that NET earned income. Ever wonder what kind of principle it takes to generate $22M ? Yep—he put that much money BACK INTO THE ECONOMY—money upon which he had already paid taxes.
Then there is no doubt he took at least half of the proceeds of that income earnings and put IT back into the economy.
While the surly and stupid whine about this money, Mitt Romney is actively participating in contributing to a sound economy in this country.
Funny how no one on the Left ever mentions this.
Do you think they are just too ignorant of simple economics to understand it? Or just too deeply invested in using lies to manipulate emotions that they understand it but pretend it isn’t there, so they can substitute their deceptions?
Let’s not forget that John Francois Kerry also parked his yacht in Rhode Island to avoid Mass. taxes.
annnnd he was in Viet Nam
A new poll is out. barky has a 31% approval rate among so called “independents” This poll has got to be true. Well maybe not. I think barky was probably overrated by at least 10 percentage points.
The dailey Kos is not known for thier impartiality.
Lol.
barky is toat. Burnt toast.
I TVO’ed his campaign speech errr his state of the union address, which really did not reveal much. I started watching it about an hour into it before I realized that I was watching was last years speech. I corrected the error. After about a half an hour, it realized it was the same theme as last year.
Nothing new, just more of the same. Nothing in the speech, indicated to me that the economy he wants will be “built to last”. He said he does not want to turn back. Really? When he started, gas was cheaper, food was cheaper, unemployment was lower, employment participation rate was higher, the debt was lower, the deficit was lower, etc. etc.
He also stated he was going to fight obstruction. Really? What is he going to do? Slap Harry Reid across the wrist? The Senate has not passed a budget in over 1000 days. Not because of Republican obstruction, but because of Harry Reid and his fellow Looters. Harry Reid has not let one single Republican proposal onto the floor (after it passed the House). Of course, these are the ones that made it out of committee if the Democrats failed to stop that process even.
The only budget that made it through the Senate was obAMATEUR’s last budget proposal where it was defeated 98-0. No one wanted it, so you mindless, useful idiot drones can’t jump up and down screeching “obstruction!”.
You liberal drones out there, kindly show us where the pResident has Constitutional authority to “reduce the economic gap” by redistributing wealth, because that is the only way to do it. Improving the economy would essentially “raise all boats”, so the gap would largely remain unchanged. Those individuals out there who want to keep their EIC payments and refuse to improve themselves or refuse raises which would result in losing that “tax credit” are going to keep the gap where it is.
The pResident’s “plan” is a joke much like his “leadership”.
And I found very few instances tonight where I could take issue with the fundamental truth of what was being said. – dennis
You mean like this truth:
On the day I took office, our auto industry was on the verge of collapse. Some even said we should let it die. – Obama
When in fact, NO ONE ever said let it die, and it was only GM that was in financial straits primarily due to excessive union costs. Ford, Honda America, etc, were all doing just fine and GM still owes tax payers hundreds of billions of dollars.
Or how about this one:
Meanwhile, companies that choose to stay in America get hit with one of the highest tax rates in the world. It makes no sense, and everyone knows it. – Obama
Conservatives have been begging Obama to reform corporate tax structures, and in fact it was in the Cut, Cap and Balance bill which Harry Reid never allowed a debate on.
Face it Dennis, that speech was littered with half truths and deflections designed to fool the ignorant. I can see with you that it was effective.
Loved when Obama, the fraud spoke about ‘outsourcing jobs’ surely he should have mentioned his pal/work czar Jeff Immelt of GE who sent thousands of jobs to China(guess to make those new light bulbs) What a hypocrit Obama is-he talked about this, but keeps quiet when it’s HIS pals. Same with Warren Buffet-who wants every rich person to pay more? How about he includes himself and all his capital gains..? He now wants Obama to send the Canadian oil by rail-HIS RAIL. Always looking to make MORE MONEY-THERE’S NEVER ENOUGH FOR THESE GLUTTONS, IS THERE?
And a little known fact is that Buffet is currently at odds with the IRS over taxes that he still owes to the tune of $1 million+. So Buffett may support higher tax rates on the rich, but he currently isn’t even paying what he owes at the lower rate.
I also loved this line:
“We need to end the notion that the two parties must be locked in a perpetual campaign.” – Obama
Coming from a guy who has abdicated governing since last summer in favor of being on the campaign trail.
The dishonesty of this guy is mind boggling.
Cluster, I had a long day yesterday, starting with the coffee maker malfunctioning and spreading coffee and coffee grounds all over the kitchen counter. I managed to stay awake during the speech and my governor, Mitch Daniels’ excellent response speech, but I headed to bed shortly after. I intended to get up this morning and go through the speech point by point, but, surprisingly, the Associated Press did it for me — an excellent fact check of the speech, especially considering the source. After reading this, I can’t help but wonder; what if the MSM decides not to carry Obama’s water during the campaign. “Burnt toast” doesn’t begin to describe it.
And Dennis, the problem with the fundamental truths of the speech was that no one believes them except radical Leftists like you.
Good read from the AP, thanks for the link
Thank you for mentioning, not to mention enthusiastically endorsing that article, Spook! One thing that jumped out at me in it was the mention of how the oil industry has been subsidized big time for over a century. And yet he couldn’t put the kibosh on that nonsense because it had bilateral support. I mean c’mon, how “mature” does an industry have to be before it can forego subsidies??
I see the hex we put on Ricorun has worn off. Time to get out the eye of Newt and snail excrement.
rico, you seem to think you are the smartest guy in the room so here’s a little assignment for you.
1. Tell us the profit MARGIN of several of the Big Oil companies, as well as several of the Left-loved companies like Apple and Google.
2. Tell us how many jobs are created by those companies.
3. Tell us the contributions to national security and the overall economic health of the nation provided by these companies.
Thanks….
First of all, Amazona, I respectfully and without hesitation concede the “smartest guy in the room” honors to you. Second, if you’re concerned about the largest profit MARGINS, you’re not a very savvy investor (whatever the mantel I’ve conceded to you). Third, could you explain why profit margins matter on a macro economic scale? Fourth, could you explain what relevance it holds when considering which companies should be offered subsidies? After all, that’s kinda the point, isn’t it? Or perhaps you forgot the topic? Also, just in case you forgot my gripe, I was taking legislators on BOTH sides of the aisle to task. With regards to Google (again, not that it matters to the present topic, but I’ll entertain you a bit), their main revenue stream BY FAR is advertising that they sell to other companies. There’s nothing particularly wrong with that: every broadcast outlet — including Fox News, Blogs For Victory, etc., — operates on essentially the same business model. But perhaps it is useful to keep in mind that under that business model, YOU are actually the product rather than the consumer. Apple is more of a mixed bag. But I wasn’t aware that Apple was a “left-loved” company. I will certainly spread the news though. Any others?
As far as “the contributions to national security and the overall economic health of the nation” goes, what is your yardstick? Whatever it is, I can’t imagine too many oil companies of any size would survive under whatever scrutiny you could come up with. But Here’s mine: a company that contributes positively to the trade balance.
Spook, it’s probably best that we don’t discuss Newts and slime trails — except perhaps to agree that one ultimately leads to the other. Thanks for the set-up though!
By the way, didn’t I hear something to the effect of “great minds discuss ideas, little minds discuss people”? And yet whenever I say anything people jump all over me rather than what I say. Would it be too much to ask… what’s up with that?
C’mon Spook, you have to appreciate that pun!
You must have had a flashback to the “Blogs for Bush” days, because that’s Bush’s speech! Only he mispronounced “douchebag” as “do-shay-bahg” because he thought it was French. . .
More insightful commentary from the left. Another dishonest line from last night:
In the next few weeks, I will sign an Executive Order clearing away the red tape that slows down too many construction projects. But you need to fund these projects. Take the money we’re no longer spending at war, use half of it to pay down our debt, and use the rest to do some nation-building right here at home.
Obama should have put together a $787 billion dollar stimulus package a few years ago designed to create shovel ready jobs and put construction workers back to work – oh wait – he did. Of course, Obama had no idea what a shovel ready job is, and most of that money ended up in union coffers. It’s that corruption thing that Obama wants to eliminate.
More than half of the $787 were targeted tax cuts. If you count tax cuts as “spending”, then Bush spent about 2 trillion on his tax cuts. And, despite what he claimed it would do for the economy, we lost about 8 million private-sector jobs during Bush’s presidency. In contrast, the Obama presidency has led to job creation in the private sector, over 4 million so far. The $787 stimulus was therefore clearly more effective than Bush’s 2 Trillion stimulus.
Do tax cuts cost the government money? That’s a fundamental premise of your post, so please answer.
cluster
crickets and birds
Remember, to the RRL, if you intend to spend $5M more next year and then you decide to only spend $4M, you have “cut” that budget by 20%, even though you are spending $4M more than you did the year before.
And, a question for kneepadder “coulterfan”—–did the “stimulus package” add to the debt, or not? You guys are now pretending that the addition to the debt is really just taking in less money, but that doesn’t make sense, because if you don’t SPEND the money that you are no longer taking in, the debt does not increase.
Can you, or anyone else, point to the actual facts and figures that support this new claim that More than half of the $787 (sic) were targeted tax cuts .
When the Bush administration cut tax RATES, tax revenue went UP. So why is it, when it suddenly becomes necessary to cover up the billions missing or misspent from the “stimulus package” the excuse is that “More than half of the $787 (sic) were targeted tax cuts”?
Which “tax cuts”?
The payroll tax cut, which doesn’t take money out of the general fund but only out of Social Security and Medicare?
It’s a shell game, and you guys are convinced you know where the marble is, but in fact all you think you know is the distracting patter of your minders as they constantly move it around.
“If you count tax cuts as “spending”” …. but only the RRL tries this ploy, just as you count reductions in future increases as cuts when in fact spending goes up, just at a lower rate.
You do do a great job of illustrating why you are so easily gulled on economic issues, though. Thanks.
In the next few weeks, I will sign an Executive Order clearing away the red tape that slows down too many construction projects
Ohhhhhh Emmmmmmm Geeeeee !!!!!
Obama is promoting DEREGULATION !!!!!
Let’s sit back and wait for the Usual Idiots to howl their outrage.
Or maybe the claim that the next step has to be government spending to “fund” these projects will calm them down a little.
In the meantime, let’s wait and see just what “red tape” actually gets “cleared away”.
And how much of it has to do with the petroleum industry.
If you count tax cuts as spending, you are committing verbal fraud. .

All the anti-Americanism coming from this blog lately surprises me. It shouldn’t, but it does. Apparently conservatives today can only love America and respect the President if he’s a Republican. Otherwise they actively work to cause America to fail.
And contrary to what some are saying here, the President’s speech was entirely honest and accurate. – coulter
Of course it was. I have only pointed out 4 such instances of lies, deflections and half truths up thread, but that shouldn’t stop a knee pad supporter like you from bowing at the alter.
And coulter, are you familiar with bankruptcy laws? The airlines did such a thing under the Bush admin, with no bail out, and emerged stronger. But don’t let that fact stop you from whining about “failure” – oh the horror.
Are you questioning my patriotism??? Oh the inhumanity. Let me quote someone you may agree with:
I am sick and tired of people who say that if you debate and you disagree with this administration, somehow you’re not patriotic, and we should stand up and say, WE ARE AMERICANS AND WE HAVE A RIGHT TO DEBATE AND DISAGREE WITH ANY ADMINISTRATION! – Hillary Clinton
Remember that little gem coulter?
Debating and disagreeing is different than the tone on this site. The moderator himself called the President of the US a “douchebag”. Ask yourself if that’s open and honest debate and whether you would call a web site “patriotic” if’s moderator called a Republican president a “douchebag”.
ask…then you need an answer…
douchbags tend to lie…they are scum…just like communists and marxists…and if they sat in the pew of a racist church for 20 years…does that mean even more…that the stooge is a racist douchbag?
absolutely…so there you have it…if the truth is not worth expressing…then what good is patriotism?
(AP) Senate Democratic leader Harry Reid called President Bush “a loser” during a civics discussion with a group of teenagers at a high school on Friday.
“The man’s father is a wonderful human being,” Reid, D-Nev., told students at Del Sol High School when asked about the president’s policies. “I think this guy is a loser.”
And contrary to what some are saying here, the President’s speech was entirely honest and accurate.
The AP disagrees with you, Coulter.

THEME ALERT !!!! THEME ALERT !!!!
Remember last year, when the RRL and the PL dupes and drones decided to try to subvert Christianity by redefining it as a socialist movement, and tried to out-Christian Christians by cherry-picking parts of Biblical quotes ?
Well, it appears that the new tactic is to try to wrap themselves in the flag and identify opposition as “anti-American”, “actively working to cause America to fail”.
Remember how much the RRL depend on redefinition of terms and semantic infiltration when you hear mouthpieces like CF try to co-opt ideas like patriotism and love of America.
Conservatives love America for what she is and what she has been. We do not apologize for America, and we do not commit to “fundamentally transforming America” into a nation unrelated to the principles upon which she was founded and upon which she flourished for so long.
Only in the weird, twisted, muddle of Leftist and Psuedo-Leftist “thought” can trying to re-commit to those principles be construed as “actively working to cause America to fail”.
The American colonies were a mishmash of loosely organized and fiercely independent communities, a young, brash and primitive almost-nation dismissed by most of the world, which looked down on it as rude, crude, and worst of all “unsophisticated”. A handful of visionaries, driven by hatred of oppression, educated by the failures of large centralized government, committed to the ideas of individual liberty, put together a blueprint for a new kind of government. It was about self-government without the built-in defects of pure democracy, it was about honoring and protecting the right to own property, it was about the freedom to pursue ambition and to own the proceeds of success as well as the consequences of failure.
They created an umbrella of enumerated duties of a rigidly limited central government, and then, to ensure that this central government could never expand beyond those enumerated duties, put in place a Bill of Rights for the citizens, culminating in another restriction on the size and scope of federal power and reinforcing the placement of power and authority in the State— OR IN THE PEOPLE .
Under this system, these rowdy and, yes, unsophisticated, Americans leapfrogged over the old established governments of the rest of the world to create a nation which quickly came to stand for personal liberty, economic prosperity, innovation and advancement in every aspect of science, and unlimited opportunity.
THIS was America. and THIS is the America conservatives are trying to preserve and, where necessary, recreate.
The “America” the RRL envisions is nothing like this. To them. “America” is just a place on a map, a symbol of everything they hate and fear, a potential petri dish for trying, yet again, to grow a collectivist government based on centralized power and authority, a Utopian paradise of enforced “equality” which they hope will, for the first time in history, not fail miserably.
Excellent synopsis, Amazona. Everyone should print it out, tape it to the front of your refrigerator and read it every day.
YES Ama…great post!
the America that other governments have to build fences around them selves to keep their citizens from fleeing to,
The America that needs border guards to keep out hoards of people who want to flock here for a better life.
Not a socialist America, Not a marxist America, Not a colonizing America, not a mean spirited America that the African Gargoyle feels he has to apologize for..Not a looter taker, slacker racist America.
A GOD fearing HARD working America.
People who have a failing business model should fail and be replaced by people who don’t. Rather than people who fail having their failing business model(Read, excessive union contracts) propped up and prevented from immediate failure so they can continue to fail over a longer period of time. Then, when that company fails they either 1: Reorganize in a non failing business model or 2: Have their resources purchased by non failing businesses to put them to good use.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Well, since the Bush family has longstanding ties to the Bin Laden family. . . I guess I would rather have had a crazy preacher in my past than ties to the terrorist who attacked us on 9-11.
Which members of the Bin Laden family with ties to the Bush family were also involved in terrorism?
Oh, good one, coulter!! But why stop at just a decade?
And Bush is no longer president, while the close associate who identified the raving anti-American, anti-white bigot as his adviser and mentor IS. Who says the “crazy preacher” IS in Obama’s past? He is just not front and center any more, just not referred to openly as “like a member of the family” but has been a guest at the White House.
And, as noted, the Bin Laden family is a huge family, which had turned its back on Osama and had nothing to do with him. So, to ask again, which member or members of the family with which Bush was friendly were or are involved in terrorist acts against the United States?
Now, which friends of the current president were involved in terrorist acts against the United States? Not distant family members of people who bombed government buildings, tried to kill policemen, and actually did kill people, but the very killer and would-be killer themselves. And still, to this day, work to undermine the United States, and still associate with the President. (See murderer Bernadine Dohrn’s interviews with foreign press while she and Bill were accompanying the Obamas on their trip to India.)
Yes, amazona, obAMATEUR has stronger ties to homegrown terrorists Ayers and Dorhn than Bush has to Osama.
But they conveniently ignore that fact and accept the dumbed down talking point that Ayers was “just some guy in his neighborhood”.
Remember, Ayers has publicly stated that “he did not do enough”.
By why quibble about facts when mindless drones like coulter only believe what they are told to.
Off topic…but crucial to the overall argument, is to note the six states that had an increase in hiring last month were Rep. governed states.
WI had the largest increase…..even with that mean ol Scott Walker as Gov.

Herman Cain is essentially a joke. Using him as a spokesperson would tend to make a non-Tea Party person view the Tea Party itself as a joke. As for asking you, you are the self-proclaimed Tea Party insider, having explained to us that no one can accurately describe the Tea Party except for people such as yourself, who are a part of it. (Ironically, you don’t extend that view to anyone else nor any other political persuasion.)
So I am wondering if you were proud, as a Tea Party activist, that Herman Cain was your spokesperson.

I report you decide.
In architecture, a gargoyle is a carved stone grotesque, usually made of granite,[1] with a spout designed to convey water from a roof and away from the side of a building thereby preventing rainwater from running down masonry walls and eroding the mortar between. Architects often used multiple gargoyles on buildings to divide the flow of rainwater
If you are claiming that you thought Shabazz was calling Obama a stone rainwater removal system, you were unclear. If you are trying to pretend that calling someone an African grotesque is not a term designed to create a race-based stereotype you are on the wrong blog. You may enjoy playing these games on your own but you may not drag the blog into them. // Moderator

it is a term in which Shabazz referred to himself and black men in general, sorry If I APPEARED to agree with this black mans assessment of himself and others. 😦
More game playing. This is not the first time you have tried to insert racism or vulgarity into the blog and this is not the first time you have tried to avoid responsibility for it. Some people of color use terms that when used by others are considered racist or offensive, like the infamous “n-word”. You know the term you have been repeatedly trying to use on this blog is one of these and it is the opinion of this moderator that you did so precisely because you know it is offensive and thought you could get away with it by hiding behind the black man who first used the term. neo, did you hear about the mental giant who used a stolen welfare credit card to buy 64 cans of soda so she could return the cans for a recycling refund?
But she ran the full cans through the crusher, damaging it. Evidently no one ever considered the possibility of anyone putting cans full of soda in a crushing machine.
All for about $3.00 in anticipated refund money for 64 soda cans. I’ll bet she could have worked a full hour at minimum wage for three times the money, far less effort, and no bail required or need to pay for damage to the machine.
Or sold the sodas for a quarter apiece. Let’s see: 64 x .25 = $16.00. No bail money. No being on the hook for repairing the machine. And she could have taken the now-empty cans to the recycler.
nah—that smacks too much of capitalism, even if it is based on theft in the first place.

watson, have you ever just sat down and engaged your brain? Or do you just emote endlessly?
Medicare was not around in the 1940’s and 1950’s and earlier, yet seniors survived just fine. The reason? There wasn’t the numerous layers of insurance and governmental bureaucracies between the doctor and patient. Health care costs can actually come down considerably if we strip away the plethora of bureaucrats that want part of the money. Have you ever thought that one through?
My last doctors visit cost me 37 whole dollars, out of pocket. My wife gave birth to twins November 15, We paid the bill , again out of pocket, for less than 40% of what the bill would have been had we used an insurance plan instead.
Get government out of the business of paying for health care and no one would need insurance.

You’re right Mr. President, We Need More ‘Fairness’
Michael Bargo Jr.
Thank you Mr. President, for bringing up the issue of fairness. I’m sure that’s important to many people. One curious thing, though, with regard to the application of “fairness” it seems that all the recommendations you have, are decided by the government. Who decides what is fair?
Here’s some suggestions:
The average Federal employee can be paid no more than the average American employee, currently $42K a yr. Wouldn’t that be fair? And the highest amount paid to any retired Federal employee should be no more than the highest Social Security monthly amount. Wouldn’t that be fair?
In the past few years, average Americans have lost ten percent of their income. All Federal employees shall receive ten percent pay cuts, and only receive increases when the average American earns more. Isn’t that fair? After all, how can the government hope to get more money from taxpayers who are earning less?
Working middle class Americans can’t leave a job for months or years, look for a new job, and still get paid. Why should government employees be able to run for any federal office while holding and being paid for another elected office?
No employee in any Federal or state job should receive more than one pension. That sounds fair.
The Senate hasn’t passed a budget in 1,000 days. They should lose their paychecks and all fringe benefits until they pass a budget. Isn’t that fair?
No one who worked in Congress can ever work as a lobbyist. Including staffers. Sounds fair to me.
Everyone who travels on Air Force One must pay their own way, be they friends of the President, First Lady, or staffers. That’s eminently fair. No American flies for free. And they must undergo full scanning and/or patdowns like all Americans. Fair is fair. If they do not pay a full amount to be determined by the CBO, their flight is counted as income and they must pay income tax on that amount, just as everyone else does for gifts. No one who flies on Air Force One can be involved in campaigning, fund raising, or Federal contracts.
The First Lady shouldn’t use any tax dollars for personal items such as clothes, 30 personal assistants. She should be limited to two assistants. Any more, they come out of the First Family’s paycheck. If she buys clothes or receives them as gifts, those items count, at full retail value, as income. She must pay income tax on that just as all other Americans do. The First Family must stop taking vacations and living lavishly on the taxes of people who lost their jobs and homes. That’s only fair.
No government worker at any level, state, Federal, or local should be part of a union with collective bargaining that makes political contributions to politicians who vote on their contracts. SEIU, NEA, AFSCME, and the other unions should not be allowed to contribute to any political campaign or party. These unions take money from taxpayers and use it to pay off politicians to give them pay/benefit raises. That gives them more say than the American taxpayers. Is that fair? It would be illegal for private employees to give money to their boss, in order to persuaded the boss to give them a pay raise. Fair is fair.
Congressional Representatives should not be allowed to invest in any interests for which they have a vote.

You PL drones claim neo is a societal mooch living off the government, he illustrates that he has enough money to do what he wants through his own hard word and skill, and then you look for a way to sneer at that.
Consider him anything you want. I am guessing that your consideration of him as a clown and of Herman Cain as ‘nothing but a joke” give you equal status as an observer in neo’s eyes—which would be zero.
I know that is how I feel about it.
BTW, are you ever going to offer up anything even close to an actual political commentary, or is your dependence on personal attacks an accurate description of your entire political and intellectual range?
Sleezy, the fact is, Clown, spook and others (maybe even you) on this blog receive a monthly check from the government, and have their health care taken care of by the government, paid for by taxpayers. If Clown is so rich and ideologically pure, then he would give up those entitlements. But he won’t because he knows that without them he will become destitute when he gets sick. Not one of you will ever advocate eliminating your own Medicare and other retirement entitlement benefits, although you’re happy to do that on behalf of others who have yet to reach retirement age. Why? Because you need them.
But I would advocate that people like Clown be means-tested. If he’s truly as rich as he wants us to think, then his SS and healthcare subsidies should be cut. We have this deficit problem you all are fond of bringing up, remember? There’s an idea for you.
As far as offering up other ideas or commentary, go read the archives. If you don’t like what I say, ignore it. This is Matt’s blog, not mine. You can see from his own post what passes for political commentary around here. He establishes the level of discourse around here, not me.

Watson, are you trying to say that you don’t see a difference between someone who receives government assistance because they are too lazy to work and someone who has worked their whole life, and, in my case, also served in the military for 24 years? I worked my first part-time job at age 12. I’m now 67 and have never been unemployed during the last 55 years. Or are you saying that Social Security and Medicare should be means-tested? Conservatives have been arguing for means-testing for some time now. Perhaps you’re saying that Social Security and Medicare should just be discontinued for people who disagree with you. How about military pensions? Should someone who makes a career in the military get a pension upon retirement?
Spook,
You are giving watson WAY too much credit for thinking. He simply emotes.
Let’s try this again and see if it gets to the right place…
Spook, can you read? I said, “But I would advocate that people like Clown be means-tested.” Is that not clear enough for you? It’s pretty simple sentence. No big words, even. By “people like Clown,” I was obviously referring to people who are wealthy, as Clown claims he is. It’s not that hard, spook.
Watson, what I was referring to was this:
Not one of you will ever advocate eliminating your own Medicare and other retirement entitlement benefits, although you’re happy to do that on behalf of others who have yet to reach retirement age. Why? Because you need them.
So you were NOT referring just to “people who are wealthy”. You were clearly referring to anyone who is on Medicare or receives retirement benefits. It’s not that hard, Watson.
waspstooge

Herman Cain is an appropriate spokesperson for the Tea Party, and whether Spook is proud of that fact. – watson
Why wouldn’t anyone be proud of having Herman Cain being a spokesperson? He is a decent and accomplished man with a great love for his country. Unless of course you buy into the allegations leveled against him which were never proven and of which he denied. Which then begs the question – are you proud of Bill Clinton continuing to be a spokes person for Democrats.
cluster, I’m not a Democrat. Spook is a self-professed Tea Party member, which is why I asked him.
If you’re not a democrat, than what are your political leanings?
I’ve been through this many times, cluster, and I haven’t got time to do it again. Read the archives.
I can only surmise that you are left of the current democratic party by the tone of your posts, which would put you on the same political parallel as Fidel Castro – congratulations
hugo is dat you?
Well, wattle, I have asked the same question many times and never seen a response.
I have even made it easier for you and broken it down for you—large central government authority and power, or small and severely restricted federal authority and power with most power retained by the states and local government?
It’s not a hard question at all for people who have thought about their preference for how the nation should be governed.
Forget labels—definitions of party affiliation come and go, and change according to which of the above ideologies are in ascendance. For example, the first of the choices I gave describes, in a nutshell, the Leftist political model, and the Democrat Party has moved very far to the Left in the past couple of decades. The second describes the conservative political model, and has not been very close to Republican Party actions over the same period of time.
So asking about identity is less precise than asking about core political beliefs. And I do not believe you have ever addressed this question.

funny he FORGOT about this………
Discussions of the candidates personal life are fair game to allow the public to fully understand the character of those that want to run in this next Presidential election.
But Barack Obama’s prior Cocaine use MUST also be viewed as fair game for press inquiries, and the press should begin probing now.
The public has not had this character flaw fully vetted due to the “Main Stream Media” fawning over Obama in the last election cycle. It is now time to have the press ask the following questions of Barack Obama so voters can fully understand this candidates background and character.
– When was the last time Obama used cocaine and over what span of time did he use this illegal drug?
– How often did he use it.
– Did he purchase it or sell it and thereby commit a felony?
– What other illegal substances has he used, when, and for what span of time? When was the last time?
paging Larry Sinclair
Keep in mind that the PL drones and dupes, like the wattle, don’t do ideas, or ideology—they do personalities, events and whatever they are fed by their minders.
wattle not only has no clue about Herman Cain’s political philosophy, he is equally clueless about that of the TEA Party, so of course there is no way he could comprehend the reality of people discussing ideas.
To him, and people like him, Herman Cain is nothing more or less than the “scandal” they loved so much. This is all the tabloid-level pseudo-political pseudo-Lefty noise machine is interested in.
Given the proven addictive personality of Obama, unable to deal with his addiction to the relatively benign drug nicotine, I think the question about whether he has overcome his dependence on harder drugs such as cocaine is a legitimate one.
When we later learned of the drug cocktails that JFK was dependent on, to deal with his disease, and the mental and emotional complications of using these drugs, we had every right to wonder, in retrospect, how many of his decisions (the shameful withdrawal of support for Cuban insurgents comes to mind) were affected by these drugs.
wattle, do you claim to be able to explain or describe the TEA Party?
If so, please do.
You might start by spelling it right.
It is TEA (Taxed Enough Already) Party.
Hey, if you manage this, you might go on to define conservatism for us.
You miss the point, Amysleeza. RetiredSpook has told us on this very blog that NO ONE, least of all the media, can understand or explain the Tea Party if they are not themselves a part of the Tea Party. So I am asking Spook, as a Tea Party activist, for his opinion about whether Herman Cain is an appropriate spokesperson for the Tea Party, and whether Spook is proud of that fact. It’s really rather simple, don’t you think?
If Spook wants to expand and explain to us, as a Tea Party activist himself, what the Tea Party is, then by all means please do. But that’s up to Spook.
And as far as making an issue of the capitalization of Tea Party, you’re just making yourself look petty.
Typical response of the intellectually lazy—if you want something spelled right, you’re “petty”.
BTW, I have never attended a TEA Party event, nor tried to be a “part of” the TEA Party, which is good, as it is a movement and not a ‘party’ and as far as I know there is no membership list.
As an outside observer of the TEA Party phenomenon, I still think I can describe it pretty accurately.
And God knows, the TEA Party haters have been rabid in their own distorted and hateful “descriptions” of it.
As for your effort to drag Spook into this, all he said was “What’s wrong with Herman Cain?” You not only refused to answer this, other than the vague snottiness of just calling him a “joke”, you tried to twist this question into an implication that Spook was defending Cain’s presence as a spokesman for the TEA Party. You created a defense that did not exist, and then tried to play gotcha with your own silly creation.
Let’s get back to that word “petty”. Your effort to play word games is petty. If you think you know what the TEA Party stands for, tell us.
If you don’t, don’t let the blog door hit ya where the good Lord split ya.

How interesting that Neo wants to discuss cocaine use by President Obama (which I have never heard anyone else but this idiot mention), but never once did he bring up the subject of President Bush’s use of cocaine. I guess drug use only matters when it is a Democrat in the White House. Of course, it often appears from his writings (?) that Neo lives in his own drug induced world as most everything he post is nonsensical . . . and stupid. His strongest asset is name calling, which is kind of a third grade tactic. Who would ever guess this man is in his 60s? His kids and grand kids must be proud.
Obama admitted Cocaine use in his book.
Rumors of Bush’s cocaine involvement are politically driven garbage; Bush denied the cocaine allegation in 1999 stating it was ”totally ridiculous.”
Carol S. Vance, (D) District Attorney for Harris County in 1972 said, there were no Republican judges handling criminal cases in Harris County in 1972. And, he said, the Texas Legislature did not pass a law allowing for the expunging of criminal records until 1977. Vance said that if anyone had been charged with a felony in Harris County, ”there would be several agencies that would have a record of such matter.”
Nice demonstration of partisan hackary Velma, neo is accurate, you’re just a piece of
Bobby, you have to excuse sunny (aka velma). She is nothing but a mindless drone regurgitating dumbed down talking points.
After all is said and done, no matter what proof you give her, she will be back regurgitating the same cr@p over and over.
It is completely pathetic. And this woman claims to be a lawyer.
YUP
Obama admitted Cocaine use in his book.
AND
Larry Sinclair admitted barry AGG did it, and lap “dances” in his book.
1. Repeated admissions of and descriptions of drug use, including the use of cocaine, in “autobiographies” which, if not actually WRITTEN by him, were clearly authorized by him, as he read them himself in the audio book versions.
or:
2. Unsubstantiated claims by political opponents of drug use, at unstated times, in unstated places, with no witnesses, and denied vehemently by the subject of the smear.
And intellectually vacant Velma finds no merit in No. 1 and subscribes enthusiastically to No. 2.
Yeah, but that’s just Vel—dumb as a box of hammers, and mean as a rattlesnake, not to mention thoroughly dishonest in every respect.
(Hey, Vel…I just “indited” you for for stupidity!)
Velma, do you show your hateful and ignorant posts to your kids and grandkids? How about the folks at work?
Or is this just a dirty little shameful secret you have to hide from people who would disdain your spite and malice and lies and bizarre outlook on life?
Amazona,
That point is moot; Velma long ago expressed disdain for the company’s clients in a previous racist rant of hers.
“indited” heh heh heh — Velma was out sick the day they taught law in Law School.
Vel has not only expressed her disdain for her company’s clients, but for the company itself, in her shrill rants against corporations.
That’s why I am pretty sure she wants to keep this dark ugly side of her persona a secret from the people she has to associate with.
Not that you can ever completely hide this level of insanity and nastiness……
