Obama Adds His Name Into Official White House Biographies of Past Presidents

Have you heard this one yet?

Many of President Obama’s fervent devotees are young enough not to have much memory of the political world before the arrival of The One. Coincidentally, Obama himself feels the same way—and the White House’s official website reflects that.

The Heritage Foundation’s Rory Cooper tweeted that Obama had casually dropped his own name into Ronald Reagan’s official biography on http://www.whitehouse.gov, claiming credit for taking up the mantle of Reagan’s tax reform advocacy with his “Buffett Rule” gimmick. My first thought was, he must be joking. But he wasn’t—it turns out Obama has added bullet points bragging about his own accomplishments to the biographical sketches of every single U.S. president since Calvin Coolidge (except, for some reason, Gerald Ford). Here are a few examples:

Many call it creep, narcissistic, etc. etc… Sure, it’s all that. But I think there’s more to it, than Obama’s ego.

If you Google any president in history, their White House biograpy is one of the top five results. Could it be that this is merely a clever Google-bomb strategy?

Unless, of course, you think Obama is above turning the taxpayer-funded White House website into a campaign device.

    OT, but hillarious.

      OT, but hilarious, take 2.

Knowing the current financial state of California, shouldn’t Clooney be doing something for his own state citizens? Between he and his friends wealth, they could actually do something constructive – of course that is assuming that liberal’s actually want to walk the walk instead of just talk the talk.

I thought Obama’s former physician nailed it when he called Obama a complete incompetent with a messianic complex.

    • ItsJo May 15, 2012 / 2:35 pm

Good post. I too(living in Ca.) agree that Clooney, Damon, Penn, Moore and the rest of the Holly-woodheads, should try helping our OWN country for a change,. If they put up THEIR money, then we’d know they were being sincere in their benevolance and charity-NOT just giving lip service and using OPM.

Isn’t America in need? Why don’t Warren Buffet, Gates, Clooney, send the country a Big Fat Check? Put your money where your Big mouths are guys.

Jo, it’s only eeeeeevil, robber-baron capitalists who do that.

Articles about Obama’s narcissism have become a cottage industry. I can’t recall ever seeing or hearing one of his supporters even attempt to deny it.

At least there’s some good news for average Americans who are struggling to put gas in their tanks.

    • Retired Spook May 15, 2012 / 4:32 pm

Well, apparently not as good news as I had hoped. Gas around NE Indiana jumped $.25/gallon since last night. So much for the law of supply and demand.

Very creepy – Stalinist, actually; mimicking the way Stalin inserted himself in to everything Lenin did in order to cast himself as the leader of the Marxist-Leninist revolution. Now, Obama is trying to make out that he’s the Great Leader carrying on for our past leaders….

  6. Cluster May 15, 2012 / 2:56 pm

Dennis Praeger had a great line about Obama’s “evolution” – “once again, Obama is leading from behind (no pun intended), by following Biden’s lead and making sure the timing was right” So this “coming out” didn’t take any courage on Obama’s part, it just took other people to go before him and minimize the risk, much like the Libya/Nato action.

  7. J. R. Babcock May 15, 2012 / 3:10 pm

So this “coming out” didn’t take any courage on Obama’s part

    Sort of like voting present.

    Speaking of biographies:

But a 1997 Fordham Law Review piece described her (Elizabeth Warren) as Harvard Law School’s “first woman of color,” based, according to the notes at the bottom of the story, on a “telephone interview with Michael Chmura, News Director, Harvard Law (Aug. 6, 1996).”

I find this to be absolutely hilarious. Here’s a woman that has lived off the public dole her entire life, and who has embellished her resume to impress other mindless liberal minions to gain advantage, yet still has the temerity to lecture those in the private sector who honestly pay their own way with no embellishment needed.

Have we all grown tired yet of these self righteous, do nothing, incompetent liberals?

What I want to know is, what color?

Blue, as in “she lied herself blue in the face”?

Red, for being Left of Mao?

Green, because it’s the only acceptable color these days except maybe black?

        Yellow, for her moral cowardice?

    • Amazona May 18, 2012 / 9:12 am

Elizabeth Warren, Ward Churchill—I suggest that every single person hired at any college or university on the basis of claimed American Indian blood be vetted, and prosecuted for fraud.

And that these institutions of what are supposed to be higher learning get rid of their “studies” programs, and the professors who “teach” them. and get back to educating instead of indoctrinating.

After reading Mr’ Sotero’s additions to the presidential bios, it is plainly clear that someone in his past messed up and forgot to award a young Barry his participation trophy.

    Mee too!!

  10. Amazona May 16, 2012 / 11:08 am

This is actually quite funny, if you find laughing at the handicapped amusing. I suppose the question is, did Barry initiate this or did a bootlicking sycophant groveling for attention from the Narcissist-in-Chief do it on his own? But what could be a more blatant advertisement for flat-out craziness than having to stoop so low?

It is particularly striking when compared to our last President, who was modest and humble, who revered the job and respected the incredible responsibility placed upon him, and who would never, NEVER, have stooped to something so ——so TACKY.

    It’s not just pathetic, it’s downright low-class.

Imagine if anyone had modified Lincoln’s biography to read “Lincoln issued the Emancipation Proclamation, and President Blank has continued the great tradition of not allowing slavery in the United States>”

It’s just bizarre. And tacky tacky tacky.

Isn’t it about time for a third “autobiography”? After all, now he can write about how he killed Bin Laden, stopped seas from rising, and took responsibility for everything every president has done before him. (I doubt he would mention his efforts to shatter the nation into shards of disparate groups and then trying to pit them against each other, but why not take credit for the Normandy Invasion or putting a man on the moon?)

    From Facebook…

BREAKING NEWS: Obama’s literary agent (The guy he HIRED) published a booklet in 1991 saying Obama was born in Kenya.

    • bozo May 18, 2012 / 1:03 pm

Amazing how Breitbart gets ’em all worked up even from beyond the grave. The story’s already debunked, but that won’t keep it from spreading.

      • Amazona May 18, 2012 / 3:29 pm

No, freakzo, it is NOT “debunked”—–it is disputed, and not very well.

Here is part of an article by Erik Erikson of RedState:

“First, as someone who has written a book, I find Barack Obama’s literary agent’s explanation not very credible. The literary agent explains, “This was nothing more than a fact checking error by me — an agency assistant at the time. There was never any information given to us by Obama in any of his correspondence or other communications suggesting in any way that he was born in Kenya and not Hawaii.”

It was a fact checking error based on . . . no facts? Barack Obama never gave any information . . . suggesting in any way that he was born in Kenya and not Hawaii? Well where the hell did this very huge extrapolation come from? It’s like the virgin birth of a legend — some lady and God alone were involved.

That’s laughable. Miriam Goderich had to have gotten the idea from somewhere. But what is more laughable is that Barack Obama did not know and did not approve. When I wrote my book, I had to approve my biography multiple times. But more damning, this biography went to the press in 1991 and it circulated for more than a decade.

Even the Associated Press picked it up and I cannot find anywhere suggesting Barack Obama tried to have the AP correct its reporting.
The point is not that Barack Obama was born in Kenya. The point is that Barack Obama has repeatedly been perfectly okay embellishing and having others embellish his qualifications and biography to make himself someone unique instead of just another Chicago politician. The pattern goes back to his job as a “financial reporter”. A former colleague of his and Obama fan, way back in 2005, claims Barack Obama really embellished his resume describing his financial related reporting.”

I was following a link in a story about Obama on another blog and ran into an article about Obama written by someone he worked with at BI. It’s pretty interesting, but one of the things that caught my attention was a response to the article by a black woman. I am reprinting part of it here. As a blog responder there is no name to credit but I state for the record that I am quoting another person.

The one statement that stands out for me and which I may have made into a bumper sticker is this: MAKING HISTORY WITHOUT MAKING PROGRESS IS SHAMEFUL

Here is part of the commentary from a black woman: (and by the way, there were a couple of kneepad Obama responses that were typical of the vitriol I see here from the PL, and the repeated accusation of “bitterness” on the part of those who did not fall for Obamahype. It must have been the theme of the day back in ’08.)

“I have changed my voting pattern because making history without progress is shameful and a waste of opportunity. It should be the ultimate goal for all Americans
…AA…..Asian……..Hispanics …Native American and women of all nationalities to occupy the oval office. And we all should have a shot at it. However, I want a president that have an enormous intellectual capacity teemed with wisdom and compassion to govern our country and to be a shining example to the entire world. I’m reluctant to vote for Obama for the following reasons:

In 1995 Chicago experienced one of the worse heat waves in its history. 739 elderly and poor people lost their lives, the majority of them on the Southside and Westside of Chicago. They died because no one came to their rescue…they slowly died…suffocated behind locked doors and sealed windows, out of contact with friends, family, and neighbors, unassisted by public agencies or community groups ( see Eric Klinenberg Heat Wave: A Social Autopsy of Disaster in Chicago). One of my friends living in Chicago contend that this should not have happened…that all the AA mega churches are air-conditioned and have huge commerical kitchen could have housed those who died. That someone could have appealed to the ministers to open up their churches to house these people during the 5-day heat wave. So, I ponder where was Obama? I mean once an activist always an activist. The activists that I know are always rallying around humanitarian efforts, it is what we do…roll-up our sleeves…wear out the sole of our shoes and get our hands dirty! Why wasn’t he inspired to use his grass-root influence to mobilize folks…big mega-churches to rescue those poor old people.. Perhaps if he saw his future on the horizon in 1995 he would have shown up. Maybe Jesse Jackson and his congressman son should have shown-up. I know the Roseland and Altgeld Garden communities where he worked as an activist. ”
