The United States of America: 1776 – 2043 (or so)

Guys, I’m really down on our long term prospects right now.

It isn’t so much the indictment of Trump though that is bad. What is bad is the number of people on the Right who are all, “Trump did this to himself” and/or “we have to let the process play out.”

I did do some checking and while I’m no lawyer nor am I able to search all possible sources, I’m pretty confident at this point that there is no US law which requires a President to submit his declassifications to anyone. No forms to fill out. No person to check with. Doesn’t even have to mention it to anyone. As far as I can tell, the person in office can pretty much take our deepest secrets and pass them out to winos behind 7/11 and he wouldn’t be breaking any law. Now, anyone other than the President or those designated by the President would be in deep, deep trouble doing that. But the President to the best of my knowledge has plenary authority here. Anyone find a statute which specifically enjoins the President to follow certain procedures in declassification, I’m all ears.

But when you think about it, how can it be otherwise? Who other than the President would the President clear such a thing with? Fill out a form and send it to himself? You think some fourth level bureaucrat in the EOB is going to be able to say, “sorry Mr President, can’t declassify that – you didn’t fill out the forms correctly”? Of course the President’s authority here is absolute. Can’t work any other way.

I bring this up because it shows that there was no basis for the investigation to start, let alone for an indictment to come down. Given this, it is clearly entirely political in its intent; the Democrats are using the DoJ to stir up political issues which will affect the votes of the American people. If this seems like something ok to you…well, then you’re dumb as a box of rocks.

“But he’s not President any more!” is one objection and, on the face of it, not quite as stupid as the rest. But it is is easily disposed of: he was President when he obtained the documents and as such he could declassify at will without telling anyone. So, if he has them, they’re declassified.

But more than just the particulars of the case is what it foretells: if this works (and it looks like it will, thanks in large part to the Never-Trump Right) then it will be used again. What is to stop them? They had no reason to start this investigation. They had no reason to start the Trump-Russia investigation. They had no reason to start the campaign finance investigation in NYC. They don’t need a fact – they just need people willing to do it and an MSM willing to play along. Of course they will now proceed to serially indict anyone they view as a threat. They are going to take a GOP which is only now learning how to fight back and gut it. Anyone who is a fighter will find themselves under increasing judicial pressure…and all people who aren’t fighters will quickly learn to back down.

And I don’t see how we stop it. People who won’t stand up to abuse of power won’t actually start a physical fight over it. We simply lack enough people with guts. This is just the start of the process whereby the USA will be converted into a de-facto one-party State. And then, piece by piece, all liberty and property will be taken.

Hate to see it. Wish I were wrong. I pray I am wrong. But where’s the upside? Should take about 20 years to get us to the level of Canada where they froze the bank accounts of demonstrators. Maybe 30 years to China-like tyranny, but even Canadian or European level of tyranny is a huge fall for a nation conceived in liberty.

Just disgusted with the whole thing – and especially our supposed allies who are so incredibly stupid over it. I think this is because they are only instinctively on the Right. They never really thought it through. Could also be very mercenary…they just wanted low taxes. That is all they ever wanted and they don’t give a damn about social disintegration as long as their investments remain fat.

I think if there’s ever a time that true men to answer the call, it is now. We have a gift in America that few countries have, the question is are we brave enough to use it?

Oh, FFS – the President cannot mishandle classified documents. He has plenary authority over them. This is noted in the post – but you’ve got your Talking Points where they’ve decided the indictment is “devastating”.

It isn’t. It is pure bullsh** from start to finish – it is produced by known liars who have proven repeatedly that their prosecutions are based on politics. You might as well cite a News of the World article to me.

As for people who know Top Secret – I do. I had a clearance actually above Top Secret. I would have been nailed to the wall had I violated protocol on them. But had my CinC Reagan done so? Nothing. He’s not under the law on this matter. The President can do whatever he wants with classified information for any reason, or none, and transfer that data to anyone he choose. He passes out the nuke codes to tourists at Disneyland, he’s not breaking the law. He CAN’T BREAK THE LAW HERE because the laws here are written only to cover *everyone else*.

But, anyways, the post isn’t directed at you – you’re quite a hopeless case. It is directed at the Right…which is turning out to be as much a hopeless case as the Left.

Perhaps people just aren’t fit long term for self-government? It might just be that the whole experiment the last 240 years has been a waste of time because it not only will end up back where it started, but worse.

I don’t know if it’s a willful ignorance or something much more pathological, but anyone who doesn’t see the 7 year manufactured persecution of Donald J Trump is one or the other. It’s that simple. The same DOJ indicting him on this issue is the same DOJ that manufactured other charges, so what is a rational American to think? A lot of people, Democrats included, are waking up to this fact. Forty laughably claims, “if only he had complied with the subpoena” … and only if hadn’t made that phone call to Ukraine, and only if he hadn’t asked Putin for Hillary’s emails, I mean it just gets absurdly comical.

Jason Chaffetz made a great point yesterday saying that the Government has all these documents in a digital format, what Trump has are just paper copies, and going to Mark’s point, Trump was POTUS at the time and has the right to have them. Joe Biden on the other hand was only a VP at the time he took his documents, but (and here’s where the willful ignorance or pathology comes into play) the DOJ has little interest in that. Not to mention the very credible evidence of Biden accepting bribes as VP which again the DOJ has little interest in.

Democrats have gone full authoritarian psycho on us and we had better fight this with every fiber in our bodies up to and including physical confrontations. THIS SHIT HAS TO STOP

Remember, some of the material in Biden’s possession was from the days before he was VP when he was just a Senator. Some of had been taken from a SCIF. And none of it was treated with any concern for its security.

The Bidens have no legitimate business operation yet they have formed 20 LLC’s through which they have funneled a reported $10 million dollars from foreign adversaries with payments going to various members of the Biden family … and the DOJ has no interest.

Not to mention the most repugnant act of Joe Biden, in my opinion, and that is denying the legitimacy of Navy Biden, his granddaughter who he refuses to acknowledge.

As a man, Dad, and Grandfather, I would take a pice of shit like him out in the parking lot and beat the living shit out of him.

The Dems are basically saying “THAT” president (R) had no authority to classify or declassify or possess certain documents, but “THIS” president (D) not only has, and has had for decades, the right to take and keep any documents he wanted, but has the authority to shut down the entire country, close schools and businesses, and force people to take an experimental drug or lose their jobs or military positions.

This sounds like the Dem version of “All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others”. All presidents have some authority, but Republican presidents have next to none while Democrat presidents have unlimited power, can make law with the stroke of a pen and control the daily lives of the people.

Democrat “experts” are now becoming dangerously stupid

Expert proposes shifting Earth about 3 million miles further away from the sun. He thinks we should use an asteroid to speed up Earth’s orbit so it spirals away . Ambitious plan may involve nudging an asteroid much like NASA’s DART mission

The absurdity of this is off the charts. These are people, and a party, that can’t even properly manage a border, or govern an inner city, or even educate children and yet they believe they can alter the weather, change the axis of the earth, and turn men into women. How do you even begin a rational conversation with people who think like this?? Honest question, because I have no clue.

Oh, come on. Cluster, It’s just a little nudge, just a few million miles. It’s not as if there would be any danger of, say, shifting the location of the poles, or changing the rotation, or causing any kind of disastrous outcome.

What could possibly go wrong? It’s not as if speeding up the orbit so the Earth eventually slingshots away from the Sun would create an uncontrollable event. Surely we could just keep an eye on things, say “that’s far enough” and…..step on the brakes or something.

Actually, I’m pretty sure this is a Babylon Bee wannabe. It kind of reminds me of the old theory that if everyone in the Western Hemisphere were to stand on a 3′ tall chair, and then all those millions of people would jump off at exactly the same moment, we would create a massive earthquake on the other side of the world and win the Cold War.

What does intrigue me is the tacit admission by this “scientist” that proximity to the Sun influences the temperature of our planet, That is heresy in the Climate Change world.

If a craft “crashed” where did it go? Did they fix it? Was it sucked up into another craft with a tractor beam? (Those tractor beams are powerful—I once had one pull me off a muddy road into a ditch.)

I have to agree with the skeptics who wonder why there are no photos or videos of the Big Scary Guys. In a culture where grabbing a phone to take photos or videos is now so ingrained it is automatic, it does seem odd. I am one of those tech dinosaurs who thinks that little device is really for making phone calls, yet I grab mine when my cat does something funny or an eagle is on my lawn trying to drag something out from under a bush.

No. I keep forgetting to get new speakers so I didn’t watch the video. I’ve been on the road so much I have barely been able to check my email. But my to-do list for today includes getting new speakers. We’ll see how far down the list I can get.

I came back from Florida to monsoons in Colorado and Wyoming, which means a combination of water control, mosquito control and grass and weeds growing with almost scary speed, and trying to keep up with it while keeping various mowing equipment working.

BTW, I am a believer in UFOs. Also in Bigfoot. My husband and I were once camping in remote northern New Mexico mountains, and set up our tent in the inside curve of an oxbow in a large stream, so the stream kind of wrapped around the tent on three sides. He was in the tent and I was sitting outside, on a cooler, getting ready for bed, and I suddenly had the sense of being watched. I told him this, and of course he laughed it off, but it was a very strong feeling, and came on suddenly, as if the watcher had not been there long. Anyway, I went into the tent and went to sleep, And in the morning the stream was filled with very large rocks. I’d guess each rock weighed at least 200 pounds. They were not tossed into the water, but carefully placed, and were carried from some distance up and down stream. I say “filled” but the rocks were spaced so you could step or jump from one to another, but not so they blocked the stream flow. At no point was the tent farther than ten feet from the water. If you have ever had a group of people trying to be stealthy, you know there is always some noise—whispering, giggling, etc. Nothing woke us during the night. We couldn’t lift any of the rocks, and when friends joined us the next day even three men had trouble moving most of the rocks much less lifting and carrying them.

It was a pretty good joke, convincing me that Bigfoot has a sense of humor.

Though I suppose it could have been space aliens. Northern New Mexico has some spooky history. Probably not skinwalkers, though—they’re not very nice.

They are not only finally coming out and admitting the truth, they are gleeful about the potential success of their strategy:

On last evening’s edition of “The Last Word,” Lawrence O’Donnell invited Rachel Maddow to come on and discuss the indictment of Donald Trump. Today’s release of the charges looks rather damning, but before knowing the contents, the duo was seemingly perfectly comfortable with the concept that this indictment was being enforced from a strictly political foundation.

As the pair of pundits discussed things, they not only brought up the possibility of this being handed down on the basis of Trump being in the presidential race, but they both appeared to support this idea.

Maddow posits that the DOJ could possibly drop charges if Trump backed out of the race, and Larry thinks this is a swell idea, so long as the suggestion comes from the Trump team and exonerates the officials from appearing political in the process:

MADDOW: Do they consider – as part of a potential plea offer – something that would…proscribe him from running for office again?

O’DONNELL: I would imagine if any like that happens that it would have to come from the defense side of the negotiations. That the Trump team would say, ‘Oh, by the way, with this we would also drop out of the race for the presidency. Otherwise, it would put the Justice Department in this position that Donald Trump claims they’re in. Donald Trump claims they’re trying to stop him – simply trying to stop him – from becoming president again, and that’s the only reason they’re doing this.

I have a vision of the leaders and architects of the International Left having fits about this, screaming “SHUT UP! SHUT UP! STFU! YOU’RE NOT SUPPOSED TO SAY THIS OUT LOUD!! ” But that’s what happens when you put emotion-driven amateurs in charge of a plot. They just don’t have the discipline to execute the plan without getting all giddy about it and mouthing off.

Have you ever sat around shooting the breeze with friends, possibly with some adult beverages present, and tossed off a joking comment, only to remember it later and think it might not be as big a joke as you thought it was at the time?

I made a comment the other day that I thought Trump might have been given a great gift, regarding his campaign, if he would only take advantage of it. I see two big impediments to his campaign. One, of course, is the piling on of indictments, obviously designed to keep him from campaigning effectively and one being his personal imperative to verbally shoot himself in the foot at every opportunity.

So, using judo’s concept of using the opponent’s size and momentum against him, I came up with a campaign strategy. That would be for Trump to appoint a handful of surrogates to essentially campaign for him. Bright, knowledgeable, articulate, even charismatic people to address the issues of the campaign, while Trump does a Biden 2024 routine and steps out of the spotlight.

This would give multiple opportunities for the surrogates to preface every single comment with a version of “Because of the administration’s efforts to sabotage President Trump’s reelection campaign by using federal agencies to attack him and tie him up in legal battles, he is too busy defending himself against scurrilous accusations to be here today, so he has asked me to address this issue….” This would reduce the opportunities for Trump to blurt out things that can be used against him, and multiply the opportunities to get the message out that the strategy of the Biden campaign has been to burden his opponent with so many legal issues that he can’t campaign effectively. It would also serve the purpose of giving an opportunity to compare the relative silence of Trump to the enforced silence of Biden.

The Agenda Media would originally jump on the chance to interview these surrogates, thinking it would provide chances to slam Trump, and by the time they caught on to the fact that they had been providing a platform for explaining the abuse of power shown by the Biden administration in its weaponization of federal agencies to influence the election the message would be out there, to be amplified by every subsequent interview and press release.

One of the problems facing the Right is the abundance of ammunition to use against Biden. From the pre-presidential corruption shown by the Hunter laptop and other information that has been coming out to the current evidence of corruption involving the Covid/Big Pharma collusion (including the government providing legal protections to the drug companies against liability claims by allowing ongoing use of emergency use authorization) to the overall FBI corruption issues going back to the agency helping rig the 2020 election by suppressing information about Biden while enabling spying on American citizens to try to gain political advantage, it’s an embarrassment of riches, not even including the decreasing mental and physical condition of Biden himself or the recent USPS admission of hundreds of thousands of bogus ballots being shipped across state lines in the 2020 election. There is the temptation to try to cram as much of this as possible into every statement, which results in the run-on pseudo questions of Sean Hannity as he trots out every talking point he can think of every time he is supposedly asking a question. It’s tiresome and boring and counterproductive.

So break it up. Distribute the responsibility for each topic to a different surrogate. So when S2 is asked about the claims of election interference, s/he says “there is so much information about the various ways the election was improperly and possibly illegally influenced I don’t have all that information at hand. I am here to talk about the money laundering shown by the evidence of….. but S4 has the information you want about the election.”

The cumulative effect of this approach would be the constant reminder that these people are only being interviewed because of the abuse of power shown by the administration in its efforts to use the government to intervene in the election process, a statement that would in one form or another preface every interview, and the breaking down of the damning evidence against Biden into more easily grasped segments. The usual effort of a Leftist “journalist” to shift to a different topic would be dangerous, as the response would be “there is such a vast amount of evidence on that subject that you need to ask S4 about that—-I have been focusing on THIS issue”. Instead of getting sucked into trying to fit a coherent and powerful response into a short sound bite that is designed to distract from the original topic, it would instead emphasize the fact that there is so much to say about the distraction topic it should be addressed by someone who has all that information at hand.

And in the meantime, every week or so Trump has a rally, where he makes the point that he is not hiding from the public but that when your political opposition can abuse the power of his position to actually put you in prison, you have no option but to focus on defending yourself—which is the purpose of the indictments in the first place. To say “this is the pattern of dictators—they can’t win in the arena of ideas of how best to govern, but once they get their hands on some power they can throw their opposition into prison so silence it”. Instead of making the same old points, over and over again, he could leave that to his surrogates and do what he does best, which is to savage the opposition. “I’m not hiding in my basement pretending it’s because of a virus—–I’m working all day, every day, on defending myself from politically motivated efforts not just to destroy me, personally, but to shape the direction of the election and the future of the country. Look at me. I don’t have to have Melania lead my by the hand to the podium. I don’t need handlers to tell me how to find the microphone or how to get off the stage. When I reach out to shake a hand, there’s actually someone there.” And so on. Showman Trump could act all this out, to great effect, knowing that his campaign will be handling the nitty-gritty details of evidence against Biden and, more importantly, against the Left in general. Leave the positive messages to Trump, who can lay out a vision for government that is upbeat and optimistic.

There’s just too much for one person to address, even if he is not burdened by endless accusations and the need to defend himself. So make this the focal point of the campaign, turn it against the Left, use it to illustrate their abuse of power, and use various other voices to get the different messages across.

    Political judo.

Good strategy, and I agree that there is so much ammunition against the Democrats that it needs to be piece mealed and focused for it to resonate, and keep in mind, this message also has to get around 90% of the media which will either distort it, or not report it. Fortunately, conservatives have a deep bench so there would be plenty of very good surrogates out there too.

If our Government hadn’t been lying to us now for nearly 50 years, I would be giving a lot more credence to the skeptics. As it is though, I am now thinking all of this is real …. and incredibly fascinating

The attorney told DailyMail.com that one alleged recovery, recounted to him by a supposed crash retrieval program insider, involved a 30ft saucer partially embedded in the earth, with some fantastical properties.

‘They tried to hook a bulldozer to it to pull it out. And it pulled out a shape like a pie slice, almost like it was part of the way it was constructed,’ Sheehan said.

‘When it came loose a couple feet, they stopped immediately. They didn’t want to destroy the integrity of the machine.

‘They had a guy go into it. He got in there, and it was as big as a football stadium. It was freaking him out and started making him feel nauseous, he was so disoriented because it was so gigantic inside.

‘It was the size of a football stadium, while the outside was only about 30 feet in diameter.’

Sheehan said that space was not the only warped dimension around the craft.

‘He staggered back out after being in there a couple of minutes, and outside it was four hours later,’ he said. ‘There was all kinds of time distortion and space distortion.’

Physicists have theorized that propulsion of an advanced craft could theoretically involve warping space-time around it to negate the effects of gravity.

But Sheehan declined to give further details – including a location and date of the incident – and said he was unable to provide evidence for the claims.

The lack of details, documents and photos are leading skeptics to dismiss as tall tales the stories of off-world UFOs stored by secret government programs.
