It is a War to the Death

A lot of people – left and right – are all “how could this have happened?” over the past few days. This infuriates me. The program of Hamas is the destruction of Israel and the extermination of the Jews. They hold to every libel ever issues against Judaism; they believe The Protocols of the Elders of Zion. They believe that killing Jews is pleasing to God.

This is not a sort of people Israel can strike a deal with, even supposing Hamas was willing to strike a deal, which they’re not because they believe they have to kill all Jews and “liberate” every square inch of “Palestine”. It doesn’t take a genius to figure out that they only response Israel can ever make to Hamas is to kill them until they unconditionally surrender. Hamas is a modern-day iteration of Nazism…its existence is incompatible with the existence of Judaism. One or the other has to go.

And I saw it. Back in 2009 right here on the blog:

…even if one wishes to suppose the worst of Israel, all stopping Israel does at this point is ensure that more people will die at a later date at the hands of Hamas and then at the hands of the IDF in response.

Here we are, at that later date. But even more horrific because Hamas has thought carefully about how they want to do this. Do not discount the intelligence put into this – they hit Israel very hard. At least a thousand dead including hundreds of Israeli soldiers. That would be the equivalent of killing about 45,000 Americans in a day. Latest story is that Hezbollah is starting to sending death squads into northern Israel. And don’t discount that the Arab street is very pleased with this. Sure, the Arab nations were rapidly making peace with Israel but that was the Arab Ruling Class…the basic Abdul on the street is heir to a century of vicious anti-Semitic propaganda and is just thrilled at Hamas’ attack. Hamas is counting on the people of the Arab world to make peace with Israel politically impossible.

But they are also counting on Israel holding back; to not take that last step. Keeping in mind that Hamas’ senior leadership is in five star hotels in Qatar (our “ally”); they are not at risk, personally. They have their money in Swiss bank accounts. They don’t care how many people in Gaza die nor how much destruction happens. But they are expecting Israel to stop at some point with Hamas’ power structure in Gaza intact. Then Hamas’ plan would be to suck in billions of foreign aid (most going to pad their personal bank accounts) to rebuild Gaza and then on to the next round.

The question is: will Israel stop? We’re going to find that out. But one thing nobody should be is surprised and shocked, nor should anyone be shedding a tear for Gaza. This is what they wanted. This is what the believe. They are willing to die for their beliefs. Israel has to be willing to die for Israel, as well. But there is no half way point – Israel has to either entirely win, or they will entirely lose.

Time will tell, and the Bible says only God knows when the end times will be, but this current conflict very possibly has some biblical ramifications.

You can’t help to think that there are some prophesies at play here, Satan has a firm grip on this world. I was also shocked at the NY, LA and Tampa rallies of Palestinians calling for the elimination of the Jewish people right here on our soil. When Muslims and Democrats tell you who they are, believe them. Hamas has said they want to eliminate Jews, and Democrats have said they want to eliminate people like me. Well I believe them and will take the opportunity to eliminate them as soon as possible when shit hits the fan.

Unfortunately, because of the actions of Hamas and Iran, every man, woman, and child in Gaza needs to be eliminated until the Arab world falls on their collective knee and begs for forgiveness. And I mean beg and repent.

I hate to belabor the “then what” argument but I just heard Netanyahu tell the story of kids who were herded into a confined area so they could be incinerated all at once, and then of course the beheading of those 40 babies.

There is no then what, it’s only what’s next

I draw a distinction between making a major decision that involves life and death and not thinking ahead about what might happen as a result, and making that same decision and not caring what people think about it.

I’m fine with Option #2. To me, Option #1 needs a lot of thought.
I’ve had a pretty bad temper and have done some rash things. And what I have learned is that things work out a lot better with a plan that goes beyond the immediate.

Violence to deal with problems here at home, for example. OK, if a mob is coming at me there is no time or reason to wonder “then what?” because then what won’t matter if here and now aren’t taken care of first. But thinking that guns can change the arc of our government is just plain silly. If you have an army, maybe, but even an army would have to deal with such a broad swath of authority it would have to wipe out hundreds of people across a wide range of offices and agencies, simultaneously, and still have to deal with remaining outposts of resistance.

And I’m not talking about “what might happen as a result” as much as I am about what I call “sequencing”. If you have an action in mind that is a standalone action, where you just want to do that one single thing, that’s different. But I’m talking about needing a logical sequence of actions that relate to each other and support each other to build to a desired outcome.

I’m reminded of parents of an old high school friend. They are long gone now, so I can use their real names. They retired and were building their dream home up in the mountains, just having a wonderful time. I was visiting once and they showed me their basement and Irene said “You know, Dale, we ought to have a wall there”. So they built a wall. A couple of days later, Irene said “You know, Dale, we really should have put a door in that wall”. So they stood there and looked through the studs into what had become a room with no ingress or egress. “Yep, I guess we should have”. And I watched, fascinated, as they designed a door. “How big do you think that door should be, Irene?” “Oh, about this big” and she held her hands apart a couple of feet, then carefully walked over to a board trying to maintain that distance and he had her lower her hands to the board and marked both sides. And then cut a hole in the wall the width of that space between her hands. I had to leave before they had to deal with the problem of finding a door to fit this “custom” door space, but I’m sure it would have been interesting. If anyone ever needed an introduction to “then what” or “what next” it was Dale and Irene.

I remember a ranch employee racing up a hill on her ATV yelling about finding a whole family of badgers, and within what seemed like seconds we had pickup doors opening and car trunks opening and four ATVs, each with two men on it and bristling with long guns headed down the hill. I got there just in time to see them all gathered around the sett (because that’s what you call a badger house) as someone finally thought “then what” and suggested that a circular firing squad was not the best way to deal with this, maybe they should line up with a hill as a backstop.

        Oh, yeah.

    • Cluster's avatar Cluster October 11, 2023 / 5:34 pm

Agreed, but every “then what” plan, has a “then what” plan, which then also has a “then what” plan. No one has a crystal ball and the number of “then what” plans are endless. I prefer a “If, then” strategy. IF they attack, THEN we do this. If you do what’s right, everything else will fall into place.

I understand the then what mindset. It’s always wise to have an idea of what may happen as result of your actions, but they are really only guesses, which often times prove to be wildly wrong. I see “then what” as being reactive, while “If, Then” is proactive. Just an opinion.

      • Amazona's avatar Amazona October 11, 2023 / 6:23 pm

I’m just glad that D-Day was not one of those “Let’s run over there in some boats and planes and see what happens” kinds of things.

There was understanding that a lot of things would go wrong that couldn’t be predicted or even stopped, but there was at least a coherent concept that guided the overall effort even when parts of it blew up.

“Proactive” can just be a fancy way of saying “thoughtless and rash”. And there is no way that a plan to move forward can be called REactive, if it is about a future action.

    • Amazona's avatar Amazona October 11, 2023 / 6:29 pm

Got it. So what’s next. Clearly it has to be the destruction of not just these people but of the entire government and culture that created and supports them. But every such effort calls for a “then what?” A focused plan of attack is not the same as shrugging it all off.

But just as some people simply can’t help following every string dragged in front of them, some people can’t help charging into situations without any plans, without any backup, without any intelligence, without anything but a wild-eyed “Go Get Em” attitude. And we need people like that. They are the ones who clear the mine fields and draw fire so the calmer heads know where to shoot.

Basically, I like rules. But when the other side throws the rules out the window, then Katy bar the door because it’s ON! One of my favorite movie scenes was toward the end of Hell Or High Water when the bank robbers walked out of a bank they were robbing in a small Texas town to find out what happens when you rob a bank in a small Texas town.

No, it is the correct answer. When dealing the left, like dealing with Hamas or any other terrorist organization, we must that we are dealing with animals.

They are taught to encourage and sponsor terroristic activities. America is filled with “Ivy league” kids who despise Christians and Jews. Just as they did in former times.

They day is coming soon, however, that there will be no more concern with the enemy, because they’re not going to need swords or rockets, they’re going to be looking for a mountain to cave in on the for fear of the One who appears on the scene.

Look up the question David Horowitz asks every “moderate Muslim” who heckles him in his college lectures. After a very serious and compelling explanation from a soft-spoken (usually woman) “moderate” Muslim about “the religion of peace” he asks “Do you agree or disagree with the statement of (names Hamas or Hezbollah leader) that he hopes every Jew in the world will return to Israel so they can all be killed in one place and will not have to be hunted down all over the world?”

And every time the answer is “agree”.

We should not be surprised when they tell us what they think. They keep telling us, and we need to pay attention.

And the Left has been fomenting anti-Jewish sentiment for years now. They always have, they always will, and stupid Jews will always vote to keep them in power.

Having been impressed by seeing big combine harvesters cross fields side by side, I can happily envision that being acted out with bulldozers in Gaza. I’m talking about not leaving one building standing.

Any country, like Lebanon, that either joins with Hamas or just lets rockets be fired from there gets to join the party, but the tickets are VERY expensive. Maybe paper a couple of nice neighborhoods with pamphlets saying “You know what happens when your government supports Hamas? You get to find a new house! You’ve got till noon to get out.” And then bomb the snot out of that neighborhood.

No one in that part of the world is ever going to like Israel, so they might as well learn to fear them.

Ramzi Kassem, a member of the president’s Domestic Policy Council, in 2009 founded CLEAR, a City University of New York project that offers free legal support to New York City Muslims. CLEAR said on Sunday it would ensure pro-Hamas demonstrators are “protected” as they “continue on until Palestine is liberated,” reports The Washington Free Beacon.

The guarantee of legal protection is likely to embolden those demonstrators, who flocked to Times Square on Sunday brandishing flags and signs with the slogan, “From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free,” which calls for the Jewish state’s eradication. The protesters were expressing solidarity with the Iran-backed terrorist group’s slaughtering of Israelis. One demonstrator argued that the killings were conducted in “self defense,” while another displayed a swastika on his phone. Police arrested three people for disorderly conduct, though it is not clear if Kassem’s group is defending them.

CLEAR’s vow to protect terrorist sympathizers reflects the Biden administration’s embrace of anti-Israel activists. <b.Biden tapped Kassem, a City University of New York professor, to serve as a policy adviser on immigration last year.</b. Before that, Kassem defended al-Qaeda terrorists held at Guantanamo Bay and has expressed his contempt for the Jewish state, arguing in a series of 1998 articles that Israel engages in “systematic genocide” and “ethnic cleansing” and that a Jewish majority in Israel is neither “viable” nor “desirable.”

Neither the White House nor CLEAR returned requests for comment. An online bio for Kassem identifies the professor as a senior policy adviser for immigration at the White House Domestic Policy Council

Once upon a time, not really that long ago, a tiny nation was fighting for its life against a behemoth that, among other things, stood for the elimination of the Jewish race. American politics and American squeamishness said we should stay out of that fight and mind our own business.

But a lot of strong men said BS to that, and found ways to go to fight for that tiny island nation. They were Americans, but they did not fight as Americans because that just wasn’t acceptable. I think we should find a way for strong American men who believe in what is right, who believe in protecting the innocent and vanquishing Nazis no matter what decade they inhabit or how dark their skin might be, to go fight for what they believe in.

I have become very anti war in the last 30 years only because we don’t fight wars to win, and secondly, fighting over land is ridiculous IMO. There is pleny of soil on this earth to accommodate all of us. But this war is a bit different, and I subscribe to this 100%

I think we should find a way for strong American men who believe in what is right, who believe in protecting the innocent … to go fight for what they believe in.

If we don’t fight evil, then we violate our Christian principles. Men were made to protect the innocent and lay their lives down if necessary, and I have always been prepared to do that, and still am. What we are confronting in Hamas, Iran, Hezbollah, etc., is PURE evil. And what we confront with the Mexican Cartels is PURE evil, and our approach to them should be the same.

This could be a turning point not just for Israel, but for the world. Now is the time to confront all evil. And Putin is not evil. Putin wants land and can be negotiated with. Hamas and the Cartels want souls. They are evil. There’s a huge difference.

Next would be the Middle Eastern students at our universities. We watched them do the Monkey Dance of Joy on 9/11 and meekly bent the knee and let them stay. How’s that working out for us? Let them create their own universities.

If true, this is game over for Democrats. But how can it not be true? Biden is proving to be worse than anyone ever imagined.

A Rasmussen poll conducted from October 2-4, 2023 shows a widening lead for President Trump in the 2024 Election. The poll revealed that 38% of voters are “very likely” to vote for President Trump and 15% “somewhat likely” for a total of 53%. But the shocking numbers from the poll show that President Trump is breaking barriers that traditionally thwart GOP presidential candidates: 30% of Democrats are at least “somewhat likely” to vote Trump with 19% “Very Likely”. By comparison, President Trump only received 5% of Democrat votes in 2016.

    • Retired Spook's avatar Retired Spook October 12, 2023 / 10:14 am

It’s hard to believe that there are that many Democrats who care more about their own future than they do about whether or not Trump has grabbed women by the crotch.

      • Amazona's avatar Amazona October 12, 2023 / 10:53 am

That crotch-grabbing story is a favorite of the Left. If you ever saw the video, it was clear that he was talking in general terms about women making themselves available to men because of their wealth or fame and then, after an interruption by the tittering Billy Bush trying to sound like yeah, he had that problem (as if!) Trump went on to say you could grab these women like that and they wouldn’t care.

Bush is heard throughout the tape agreeing with Trump and even egging him on. Indeed, “Access Hollywood” seems to attribute a quote to Trump in that exchange that the Washington Post attributes to Billy Bush.

When Trump brags that when you’re a “star,” you “can do anything,” another voice agrees, saying “whatever you want.” Trump then follows up with “Grab them by the p—y. You can do anything.”

The Post attributed the interjection to “another voice, apparently Bush’s,” but “Access Hollywood” attributes all of it to Trump.

Which is true. Groupies don’t demand respect. But this is a beloved mantra of the Loony Left. I’ve seen this comment in print, run-on into another comment about kissing, to imply that what he DID do—kissing—included grabbing. It’s all just what the Left does. It slimes everything it touches. I think/hope people are realizing the Left does this because this is all it CAN do. It can’t be positive because it is a nihilistic religious movement and all it can do is try to slime its opposition because when it tries to offer its recruits anything positive and uplifting this is quickly seen to be a lie. When you look at its defenders and supporters you never see goodness and light and optimism–you see darkness and hatred and sourness.

I hope there are that many Dems seeing the light, realizing that even if their party promises things that matter to them it is lying, and that results matter more than feelings. I understand disliking Trump. I don’t like his personality at all. But I think he has been effective as president and can be effective again and I hope a lot of people are realizing they can dislike him as a person and still choose him as a president.

      • Retired Spook's avatar Retired Spook October 12, 2023 / 11:06 am

That crotch-grabbing story is a favorite of the Left. If you ever saw the video, it was clear that he was talking in general terms about women making themselves available to men because of their wealth or fame

And you know, given Trump’s ego and the fact that he didn’t know he was on an open mic, if this was something he routinely engaged in he would have said something like, “I’ve lost count of the number of times I’ve grabbed a groupie by the crotch.” It hasn’t stopped the Left from constantly repeating their own interpretation, but the fact that he won the nomination and the election in 2016 tells you that lot of people took it for exactly what it was.

      • Amazona's avatar Amazona October 12, 2023 / 11:27 am

I don’t for a moment believe Trump ever did any such crotch-grabbing. While his kissing fetish is admittedly creepy, it also lacks context—open mouth, with or without tongue, lingering or fleeting, cheeks or lips, welcomed or resisted, etc. I’ve known a couple of kissers who have not been overtly sexual about it. I worked for a man whose father would often visit and would kiss every woman in the place, but never in a creepy way. It’s how he greeted people. He shook hands with the men and kissed the women.

I thought of him when I saw an episode of “Modern Family” when Claire was convinced a friend of her husband’s was hitting on her because he kissed her. Then at the end of the episode there were several women present (I’m thinking maybe one of them was his mother, but it’s been a long time) and he gave each and every one of them a quick smack on the lips.

Something else that no one ever mentions is that apparently Trump has undergone a major change. The tape about his kissing and alleged crotch-grabbing seems to be the only “recent” claim of bad behavior. and it’s nearly 20 years old. Yes, he was an adulterer, but as I have said so many times, people change. Few of us want to be judged by our acts of years past, if we have decided to become better people.

I believe that Trump underwent such a change, made such a decision, and for me a decade or more of changed behavior is enough for me to take it seriously. The Access Hollywood tape was made in 2005. I think it’s significant that the Trump haters have to go back that far to find something they can gnaw on, and then they still have to distort it to try to make it work for them. But then, that’s the nature of the bottom feeders recruited by the Left.

If they are so proud to be supporting and enabling the slimy cowards of Hamas, let the world know who they are and what they look like. I hope the effort doubles down by using that kind of language.

A “doxxing truck” is driving around the campus of Harvard University with digital billboards that display the names and photos of students who allegedly signed a letter blaming Israel for Hamas’ violent attack that killed more than 1,200 people over the weekend.

Giant video screens hung on the sides and back of the truck display the words “Harvard’s Leading Antisemites” in gothic script over a slideshow of Ivy Leaguers’ headshots and names in bold, red block letters, according to photos on social media.

Nonprofit news watchdog Accuracy in Media was behind the truck, which showed the students involved in the 34 student groups that signed a letter saying Israel is “entirely responsible” for Hamas’ deadly attack on Saturday.

The truck’s surprise appearance around campus on Wednesday “was the first day [of a] multi-day, multi-pronged campaign involving multiple billboards and a variety of other tactics,” Accuracy in Media president Adam Guillette told The Post

Palestine is playing the victim now … and the media will play right along

This is the moment a journalist broke down in tears while reporting from inside a hospital in Gaza. Adnan El-Bursh fell to his knees after seeing dozens of friends and neighbors among the dead as Israel bombards the settlement in retaliation for a deadly Hamas rampage. The BBC Arabic reporter described the situation in Al-Shifa Hospital, the largest medical facility in the 25-mile strip, as traumatic with ‘bodies everywhere’. In one segment, a young girl with a bloodied face sits upright in a hospital bed, crying and covered in dust as a doctor tends to her legs. El-Bursh reveals she has lost her home and her relatives have been killed. Speaking to camera at the end of his report, El-Bursh admits: ‘I have seen things I can never unsee.’

Like Leftists always do, their supporters assume that when the music stops they’ll have a chair. They are always stunned to find themselves cannon fodder, or in the case of Western Leftism the ones cleaning the toilets.

I feel sorry for that little girl, but less so if she was one of those children chanting “Kill all the Jews” and talking about ways to do this.

We see this kind of nonsense every time Israel strikes back after unprovoked attacks —-suddenly it’s the Palestinians who are the tragic victims, trying to deal with the utter surprise of being among the bloodied or dead.

But good for the coverage, accurately referring to the “deadly Hamas rampage”.

Israel should put up huge billboards facing into Gaza with messages like

DO YOU SUPPORT HAMAS? THEN YOU KILLED MY BABIES

Illuminating segment in today’s Coffee & Covid about the situation at Harvard.

The Harvard Crimson ran a breaking story yesterday headlined, “Harvard President Claudine Gay Fiercely Condemns Hamas, Rejects Calls to Punish Students for Israel Statement.” I’ll show you Harvard President Claudine Gay, I am not making that name up, and you will understand everything you need to know about this story. Ready? Here:

I can’t make this stuff up. Harvard is paying this woman, if it is a woman, millions to run the school. Run it into the ground, one supposes.

The articles describing Gay often include odd liberal dog-whistles. For example, they describe her marriage and say she is “co-parenting a boy.” What does ‘co-parenting a boy’ mean? Are they trying to say it’s not her son? Is it to suggest ‘she’ is a trans woman?

Anyway, the current fracas began after 37 Harvard student groups anonymously signed an open letter condemning Israel and essentially congratulating Hamas for fighting back against its evil oppressors. Their timing was horrible to say the least, and it ignited a firestorm of criticism that Harvard’s woke president has been trying her darnedest to extinguish by smothering it in the entire woke buzzword dictionary.

After the anti-Israel letter went viral, major donors demanded that Harvard identify the students who signed the letter. Former presidents and high-profile alumni denounced the letter. An LCD panel truck drove around Cambridge yesterday displaying the names and photos of alleged student signers of the letter.

Meanwhile, the brave students who anonymously signed the letter have turned chicken in the face of potential cancellation. Well, they should know.

As the Crimson’s article reported, Gay — who is so unqualified to run Harvard that it insults unqualified people — is on her fourth try in four days to condemn Hamas in sufficiently strong terms to placate offended stakeholders. When at first you don’t succeed, try, try again. Gay steadfastly refuses to disclose any student names though, patriotically but ironically calling for — I promise I am not making this up — everyone to appreciate the Founding Fathers’ values of freedom of speech and free expression.

Based solely on the photo, above, I probably don’t need to tell you that Gay’s entire academically-uninspiring career is 100% pure racial grievance politics, and the words “freedom of speech” are painfully difficult for her to pronounce since she’s never uttered them before. It’s currently coming out more like “fweedern of swiss,” but she’ll get the hang of it if she keeps trying. Try, try again.

America can not continue to allow black and brown people with socialist tendencies and racial grievances to ever be in positions of power. It never turns out well

America can not continue to allow black and brown people anyone with socialist tendencies and racial grievances to ever be in positions of power. It never turns out well.

        There. Fixed

I stand by my original comment. If “white supremacy” is considered a threat, then we need to identify the black and brown socialist threat. Which is much greater in my opinion. After all, white socialists are not the ones invading our southern border

      • Amazona's avatar Amazona October 13, 2023 / 2:05 pm

White socialists support and enable these people. They elect them, they appoint them to positions of power and prestige, they vote to fund them, they march in solidarity with them, they support using the might and power of the government to suppress (sue, bankrupt, intimidate and imprison) their opponents, and without white socialists the others would collapse. None of them have gotten the power they have without white socialist support.

White socialists don’t have to be the ones physically crossing our border. It took white socialists to rig the 2020 election, ranging from the FBI to the vote counters and most in between, and it is white socialists who demand open borders.

It was Barack Hussein Obama and Iranian born Valerie Jarrett who led the charge. Now granted they were supported by weak white people, but they began the insurgency to “fundamentally transform” the country and I don’t want to minimize their efforts by blaming the white people who supported them.

White people get called out all the time. It’s the accepted narrative, but we have to change the narrative and start calling out black and brown people for the destruction they leave in their wake too

I think that once upon a time there were qualifications for being president of Harvard other than a certain melanin level and acceptable gender identity. That must have been a long long time ago.

What kind of religion demands the deaths of those who do not believe in it? What kind of religion celebrates the burning alive of children and babies?

Islam is a toxic political movement dedicated to world domination, with a thin veneer of “religion” to appeal to the virtue signalers and weak minded

I am not a Sean Hannity fan at all. Does Sean not think that the Military Industrial Complex has a large influence with politicians and not always for the good? I am not a supporter of Vivek but he raises very interesting, unconventional points that I think have to be carefully considered. We can’t just keep doing things like we always have … any observer of reality will tell you that. We have failed in our most recent foreign ventures … Afghanistan being a glaring example, and all I hear from people like Pence and Haley is that we need to be militarily involved throughout the world. Like Vivek, I am sick of politicians who think American needs to be the answer to every global problem. We simply can’t do it.

That’s what is great about this country—people can have widely divergent views on all sorts of things, and argue their points without being killed for it.

So far, anyway. Joe and Hillary are working on that bug in the system.

Expanding on my comment the other day about the 8.5 million illegals (including an estimated 1.5 million got-aways) that have crossed our southern border under Robert Peter’s watch. I said if just 1/100 of one percent of those are bent on evil that’s 8,500 bad guys on the loose in America. That’s an 8 man terrorist cell for each of America’s 100 largest cities. What could go wrong?

    • Amazona's avatar Amazona October 13, 2023 / 1:04 pm

OK, so extrapolate from that. Say 8 trained and focused terrorists in each of these cities and then add the opportunistic support they would get from BLM and Antifa and assorted similar rabble, in attacks on police and civilians. Remember, it was Antifa who nailed doors to a federal building shut and then tried to set fire to it, with people inside.

They might even get the remnants of the Weather Underground involved. Obama buddy Bill Ayers plotted to blow up a police station at shift change so there would be the most people inside, and I would not be surprised to see him and his lovely bride Bernadine happily joining the cause.
