Trump is Rolling

I do believe our Democrats have learned absolutely nothing from 2024.

Until about ten days ago there was story after story and claim after claim that Democrats and Never Trumpers were hearing from MAGA – and we were soooo disappointed in Trump! I mean, we didn’t want Harris but we didn’t vote for this! All these deportations of poor illegals without due process, all this cutting government with a butcher knife…it was all too much! Trump is out of control! What have we done?!?!?!?

And then after a period of that, a whole raft of polls comes out – Trump’s approval is cratering to lows no President has ever seen at this point in his term! It was a cascading political collapse. And, hey, (went other stories and claims) the Dems are on to something here…standing up for Maryland Man and fighting against DOGE is their way back to power! You see, the Democrats were showing themselves to be the reasonable, responsible people who are capable of governing.

And then…

All the polls showing Trump’s support in free fall were the same polls that showed Harris’ Bratty Joy was dominating the election. Do keep in mind that Harris’ pollster has stated that at no time during the campaign did her internal polls show her with a lead. The polls that showed Harris ahead – or even in position to win – were utter nonsense. And so, too, are the polls showing Trump’s support dropping. Sure, there is statistical noise…the good polls show Trump bouncing around from 48% to 51% approval…basically where we was on Election Day. This is actually pretty astonishing…I really expected a genuine drop as Trump put MAGA on steroids. But, no: ain’t happening. It seems everyone is pleased as punch about what he’s doing and if there’s a complaint its that he’s not doing more and faster.

But do keep in mind that the Democrats tried here – to create out of whole cloth a Narrative of Trump collapse, MAGA disenchantment and Democrat resurgence. None of it was true – there wasn’t a single fact to back up the claim. It was a lie from start to finish and they couldn’t sell it.

This is a watershed moment, my friends. The social power of the Democrats has been broken. They can no longer win just by lies pushed in the MSM. People are on to the con and Team Trump has become masterful at dominating the message. For instance, this past Sunday was May the 4th and that is a big day for Star Wars nerds – “May the fourth” = “May the Fourth be With You” (get it?). So, what did Trump do? The White House account put out an AI picture of Trump as a Jedi…with a red lightsaber because that ensured it would go exceptionally viral (red lightsabers are for Siths, not Jedis). As of this moment, it has 56 million views and 31,000 comments. Meanwhile, on that same Sunday, how many people do you suppose watched the DNC propaganda on the Sunday talk shows? I bet it wasn’t even a tenth of that number combined. The Democrats look at this and can only shriek in impotent rage. They don’t understand how Trump is doing this and why they can’t just tell people what to think.

Lied a little too often there, guys. Lies do work, I’ve pointed that out endlessly. But you have to keep your lies reasonable. When you told us we couldn’t have a funeral for grandma but George Floyd could have three, that was a bit unreasonable. Everyone could see not only that it was a lie, but that it was a ridiculous and insulting lie. It got people to hate you, Democrats. They didn’t used to. Now they do. And while people will often listen to liars, they never listen to people they hate…and this is even when the people hated speak the truth. Democrats are in some deep doo doo here.

We’ll see how this turns out – the economy will be key in 2026. I happen to believe that Trump’s policies will get things booming within the first 12 months of his term…but be that as it may, we might find that the Democrats are so toxic that they can’t win even in a poor situation for the GOP. Trump is rolling – and the Democrats are in panic.

Democrats have just cried wolf too many times. And what’s worse is, that’s all they have. The lies about Trump, Climate Change, Trans rights, and illegal immigrants are all they have to scream into the wind. They spent the last 25 years pandering to every “marginalized” subset of America full of virtue signaling and moral preening, and in the course of that they lost sight of normal American people, and now they don;t know how to reconnect. Unless and until Democrats shed their party of poorly educated and over emotional millennials, corrupt career politicians, and people like Letitia James … they are going nowhere.

You say, of the Left, “They spent the last 25 years pandering to every “marginalized” subset of America” but my perception is that they CREATED, or at least isolated these subsets and expanded them, for the specific purpose of using them to splinter American society and culture.

Because the Left must have chaos, must have a damaged nation, to be able to take advantage of it and we see it working to insert itself into that culture, erode it, undermine it even further, and then assume control. The Left has never gained much power in a strong, happy and mostly cohesive country. Its history is one of either swooping in to take advantage of a nation’s problems or to work to create problems it can then build upon.

There is nothing to gain if a society accepts a man dressing as a woman as a mere novelty, or accepts the fact that some women prefer women and some men prefer men. There is a small amount of divisiveness in that there can be individuals making comments about this, but these quirks don’t destabilize an entire society. No, it takes a dedicated conspiracy of malignant actors and a complicit media to take these essentially small and insignificant blips in a culture and develop them into whole “movements” and then maliciously generate conflict with society as a whole. The genius of the Left is that when it saw the success of this strategy it then subdivided its divisions so instead of its “straight v gay” model it invented whole new “genders” and then pitted them against society. So when gay people who had liked having the invented identity of LGB found it expanded by the Left to include T, or “trans”, and then found a whole new alphabet of deviants tacked onto its identifier label they objected, leading to an absolute orgy of glee in the Left as now its invented sub-demographics were not only in conflict with “normal” society but with each other. The argument of gays was that they are just regular people who happen to have same-sex attractions but other than that are just like the rest of society, and the Left, in its orgy of conflict-generation, suddenly linked this element of gay people with freaks and exhibitionists and radicals, and then added gender-flipping, gender-invention and a whole new element of freak show, which totally wiped out the “we’re mostly just like you” argument most gay people had been making.

The more conflict the better, as far as the Left is concerned. So while I agree with you that the rank and file of Leftist sheeple are wallowing in self-congratulatory virtue signaling, trying to outdo each other in how far they will go to illustrate how morally superior they are by supporting increasingly radical policies and acts, I don’t see the leadership of the Left “pandering” to all these artificially invented splinter groups as much as creating them and then propping them because they are so helpful in dividing the nation.

“Democrats have just cried wolf too many times” I just had this conversation yesterday. A friend and I agreed that there is a limit to how many times the Left can use fear to control people, as the tactic starts to show wear after a while.

My observation was that while this had slowly been developing it is the revelations about Fauci and the “vaccines” that are starting to shake the confidence of a lot of people who would never have thought of doubting the government or the media before this. Certainly the media collusion about Biden’s competency has added to this awareness.

Too much is coming out not just about media “mistakes” but about overt collusion with the Left and blatant, purposeful, lying to the public. In dribs and drabs too much information is coming out about various “anomalies” (to put it kindly) in the 2020 election to support the hysterical shrieking that it was honest and accurate. Add that to information about conspiracy to hide the truth about Hunter’s laptop and its role in influencing the election, followed by the cascade of lies involving Covid and Fauci, and the facts about illegal immigration and its incitement and support from the Biden administration, and the wheels are starting to come off the Left’s propaganda machine.

I’m so tired of white apologists. Virtue signalers, moral preeners and lecturers. They are what’s wrong with this country, primarily because the “minorities” just play them to their advantage. Piers Morgan tops today’s list of white apologists

    https://www.dailymail.co.uk/media/article-14685469/Lilly-Gaddis-trad-wife-influencer-Piers-Morgan-slur-Shiloh-Hendrix.html

Black people call themselves niggas, they rap about, preen about it, and celebrate it, yet if a white person says nigger, well then they need to be removed from society. FUCK these people. Let’s take their emotional cultural bullshit and shove it right down their fucking throats.

    • Amazona's avatar Amazona May 7, 2025 / 11:00 am

I think the hysteria and outrage over the “wrong” people using a word is starting to have less impact, because it is so obviously stupid. When a rap “song” can go mainstream, be nominated for awards, played on the radio, etc. and it is full of that allegedly dreaded ‘N-WORD” it makes it kind of hard to pretend that if a black person hears the word it is exactly like shoving a knife into his heart.

As a woman, it is up to me how I react to words like chick, broad, skirt, even the more vulgar words sometimes used. Because I understand that this is my choice, I choose to ignore it. If it is obviously considered foul and offensive by the user, I just assume that this defines the user as foul and offensive, and move on. Why should I care what someone for whom I have contempt seems to think about me?

The entire “N-WORD” issue would melt away in a month or less if black people were to simply make it clear that the word has no significance to them other than an indictment of the intelligence and character of whoever uses it. The ONLY reason a conflict exists is because it is useful for propping up an “us-v-them” paradigm that is essential to keep racial tensions high.

This is a decision that is totally up to the black “community”—the decision to treat the word as a mere description of dark skin would immediately strip it of any assigned toxicity or malignance.

Then we could address the inherent divisiveness of the term “African-American”. American or not—it’s a simple choice. African or not? Maybe yes, maybe no, but not significant or affecting the “American” part of the equation, because the national identity of our ancestors should not define us. It’s just one of many interesting aspects of why we look like we do or have certain physical characteristics, some of them superficial.

I was once talking with a man from South America who had just met a Czech girl and commented that Czech girls all seemed to be really hot. I said yes, “The Czech part of me made me hot, the Irish made me like to drink, the German part had the discipline to keep me from drinking too much and the Russian part is why I am bossy”. It was a spontaneous and brief comment on assumptions based on heritage.

      • Cluster's avatar Cluster May 7, 2025 / 11:15 am

I will wager to say that 95% of blacks who call themselves African Americans … have never even been to Africa. Being American needs no qualifier. My mom was a second generation Irish immigrant, making me a third generation yet I have never even thought of myself as an Irish American. Of course my Fathers ancestors came over here in 1698 from Germany and I have relatives who fought in the Revolutionary war and in the war of 1812, of which I am very proud of. (We had moved westward by the mid 1800’s so were never involved in the civil war.)

Being called derogatory names is not exclusive to any race or gender. We all get it at some point and as my Dad always taught me, it’s not what happens to you, it’s how you react to what happens to you … that’s the key. We are all masters of our own domain.

Just saw a picture of the fat black chick statue they put up in Times Square…and then another such statue in Florence except she’s on her cell phone…it was asked who is paying for this. Probably you and I: but with USAID now gone maybe we’ll get less of them.

Its all just a sick and twisted game…the whole race thing is a con. Essentially, as soon as asked, racism came to an end…but those who made money off complaining about it didn’t want to get a job and so here we are. And they are rapidly building a New Racism…because I guess Fallen Man can’t exist in peace and harmony and must have something to tear each other to pieces over. The New Racism started with asserting black superiority and is now starting to get a backlash among white people.

I’ll tell you a small story: a few years back I was having lunch with a very bright young white girl and she asserted she was racist…felt she had to be as a matter of self defense. I’m not talking Klan-like racism…she didn’t think black people are inherently inferior…but she saw them as a personal and professional threat to her existence. Things could get very bad if we don’t start to crush the race baiters. My preferred method is RICO and Civil Rights Act investigations of the so-called “civil rights” organizations.

      • Amazona's avatar Amazona May 7, 2025 / 7:31 pm

I fully understand what that young woman was saying. I will go a step further and say I have become very prejudiced against what is now presented as “black culture”.

It doesn’t seem that long ago, though now that I think of it it had to be at least thirty years ago, when “black culture” was respected for its tight family unity, devotion to God and determination to rise above the past and to judge people by their merits and not the color of their skin. But that has been replaced with carefully nurtured bitterness, resentment and outright hatred of white people, along with the self-destructiveness of rejecting merit and education and so on as being “too white”. LBJ’s Great Society and War On Poverty got the ball rolling to undermine and destroy black American culture, and today’s Leftist push toward a Victimhood Culture is finishing it off.

It was a jarring note until I thought about it for a minute. Sure, as a woman she’s one of the Special Class people…but being straight and white was sinking her Social Credit ship (this was just before the Trans thing took off…so, now being an actual woman is a strike against her). She was also contending professionally with people who were simply not any good at the job but were bullet proof based on the number of Social Credit boxes they checked off. I can see very much why the younger people are turning to Trump…he represents a bit of sanity.

      • Amazona's avatar Amazona May 7, 2025 / 7:37 pm

Your mama probably told you you would be judged by the company you keep, and black people today (and Leftists in general) need to remember that they are also being judged by how they choose to represent themselves and their heroes and inspirations. If the Left chooses to present itself as a frumpy overweight generic woman who needs a new bra, let them. If this is supposed to be a black woman, all the better.

I prefer the statues of pioneer women, not Hollywood beautiful but strong and inspirational and looking like real people.

      • Amazona's avatar Amazona May 7, 2025 / 10:52 pm

It was really funny when the Kamala Harris narrative of her being African-American had to do an abrupt 180 and morph into the more generic “black” or “woman of color”. Not a peep about the preponderance of Irish in her background, some even born in Ireland, with only one possible black great-grandmother who was never officially listed in any records as being black but had once been an agricultural worker, which the Left glommed onto as automatically being black. And this ancestor, like others in her bloodline, owned a lot of slaves. On her mother’s side it was pure higher-caste Indian. That is when Indian ancestry qualified one as a “person of color” though I haven’t heard the Left mention this in connection with Nikki Haley or Kash Patel or Vivek Ramaswamy. I guess these are all “WPOC” Wrong Persons of Color.

I really felt like America was moving past racial divisions until Obama came on the scene, and then the issue picked up steam again. Strictly for political purposes, and now we have a younger generation of Obama acolytes exploiting the issue

I was traveling yesterday so I missed news of the new Pope. Any comments?

    • Amazona's avatar Amazona May 9, 2025 / 11:00 am

I just spent a few minutes looking up reactions to the new Pope and one thing that struck me was that he is (1) active on X, and (2) that the posts he reposts must indicate his agreement with them.

And if he agrees with the posts he reposted then he is abysmally ignorant—one might say criminally ignorant, as one in his position has a responsibility to educate himself if he is going to take a position on something that is important. This is one example of something he reposted:

      https://pbs.twimg.com/media/GqcuZ1zWwAEGTyE?format=jpg&name=medium

Even back in 2018 it was easy to learn, for anyone who cared, that the theme of “takes children away from their parents and warehouses them in cages…” was sheer Leftist propaganda without a shred of truth. His reposts of posts of “Catholic” bishops are all regurgitated Leftist cant and until and unless he proves that he has learned something since then I will have to take him at his word that he accepts and agrees with it. He certainly did not hesitate to do his part to spread the evil of these lies.

Just as the United States found itself on a precipice in 2024 the Church is on one of its own, and I am afraid that only one of these powerful and important entities has chosen the right direction.

There are many red flags with this pope – His praise of the Synodal Way, His rhetoric of Trump’s immigration policies, Climate change ideology, his direct involvement in removing Bishop Strickland from his diocese, etc… Given that 80% of the current electing cardinals were ordained by Francis, the likelihood of having a similar mindset would seem high. Some label Leo as a centrist though this term has lost a great deal of meaning in today’s world. Centrist from what point of view? Still, I pray that he uses his new position in a manner that is in unity with God.

      • Amazona's avatar Amazona May 9, 2025 / 3:27 pm

Francis did a fair job of navigating between Church teachings and Leftist ideology, though his public support of people whose careers and advocacy of abortion resulted in millions of deaths of innocents and defied Catholic teachings. He even scolded serious priests who took their dogma seriously for withholding the sacraments from these people and other abortion advocates and providers. This guy’s reckless adoption of the most radical and public Leftist rhetoric is very concerning.

A good Pope would work to unite Catholics under the umbrella of the Church, not willfully fragment the Church in pursuit of purely political aims.

In a quick scan of various online comments before going out to stock up on groceries after severely editing my refrigerator and pantry before heading south for the winter I ran across this comment in a story about the fat black woman statue and the commentary about it having Marxist roots in CRT, etc. (BTW, those comments were very good and interesting.) Then some smug doofus popped up with a new version of the old Lib whine that “there is no such thing as “Left” it is just a pejorative invented by conservatives blah blah blah”

    Hotel Eggs

    @Hotel_Eggs

Dude, I’m 55 years old. I have a degree in finance and I think fairly intelligent. I have no idea what you’re talking about and neither does 98% of most regular people. What the hell is Marxism? No one knows. It’s some super online language Ya’ll use in your group chat.

So this “fairly intelligent” middle aged guy still thinks that “no one knows” what Marxism is, and that it is nothing more than “some super online language” people invented to use in “group chat”.

No wonder it is so easy for the Left to control the masses, when “the masses” include people this dense, who also think they are smart and informed.

(Note to self: Never take advice on finances based merely on “a degree in finance” without first confirming that it is not from Bob’s School of Refrigeration and Finance.)
