Lies Kill Two…and Millions

Vice President Vance posted this picture of the two kids who were murdered yesterday by a radical Leftist from Chicago:

I do hope this picture gets spread as far as possible. Really look at it. Study their faces. Burn it into your memory. Look at them!

They’re just kids. Starting out in life. They’re not even all-Jewish as I understand the young man, Yaron Lischinsky, was Christian. As Sarah Milgrim was Jewish, that shows the actual cultural diversity of Israel. People of different backgrounds coming together in love – for one another, for their families, for their nation.

They were killed for two reasons:

  1. The shooter knew they were Israeli and thus assumed both were Jews.
  2. Lies.

For decades now, but on overdrive since 10/7, the world has been flooded with lies about Israel. The shooter believes he was taking a stand against “the genocide in Gaza”. One problem with that, there is no such thing. In fact, recent reports indicate that since 10/7, the population of Gaza has actually increased. I’ve long stated my views on the matter: I do believe that Israel has lost the war in Gaza because they didn’t do what was necessary after 10/7: total siege. Nobody and nothing in or out. Endless artillery bombardment with aerial attacks on precise military targets. The Palestinians are to surrender unconditionally, come out with their hands in the air and then be exiled to some other place outside of missile range of Israel (I have suggested Socotra). The Israelis have not done this out of a foolish concern about global opinion (as if that matters or as if anything Israel does will meet with global approval) – they have gone extremely soft on the Gaza population. This has not only resulted in what amounts to Israeli defeat, but it has cost Israeli lives. But that was all Israel’s call – they are the people who determine their fate, not me. But the bottom line here is that there is no cause for any reasonable person to have the least complaint about Israel in the matter. Yet “stop the genocide” is a regular Leftwing statement all around the globe.

Last night, a radical Leftist who believes the lies acted upon them. After all, if you sincerely believe that Israel is engaged in genocide, you strike against them wherever you can. If you were suddenly sent back in time to 1940, what measures would you refuse to take in stopping Hitler’s regime? Perhaps you’d stop at cannibalism, but not much else – just about any action is justified if it is to stop genocide.

Yaron and Sarah are two of millions. Untold millions. Dead here and there and all around the world because we have been told – and most of us firmly believe – that if we don’t allow liars to lie then we won’t be able to speak the truth. There’s some demonic perversion if you ask me! I am told and I used to even believe that if I don’t allow some ignorant Leftist halfwit shout “stop the genocide” then I won’t be able to say there is no genocide.

No.

Just no.

It doesn’t work that way. If liars are allowed to lie then things will be done based on those lies. Like the man who murdered two completely innocent people last night. They are dead. They aren’t coming back. Everything they might have had in life is gone. Taken away by a man who will now be afforded legal counsel and a fair trial and might even see the outside of a jail cell before he dies. And who will likely become a folk hero among the radical Islamists and the global Left. Because of lies. Had we stopped the first liar in his tracks, then the millionth liar wouldn’t have got two kids killed last night.

Lies must be punished. Severely. If you’re worried about how you might end up punished for lying then I suggest you keep your trap shut unless you’re sure its true. It isn’t a big ask. Not lying, that is. Nobody has a right to lie and nobody ever fought a war to secure a right to lie.

We must make lies illegal.

I don’t how one could make lies illegal, but you can certainly hold people accountable for their speech. Aiding and abetting is a crime and in my opinion, many politicians should be charged. Ilhan Omar and Ayanna Presley could easily be indicted for their rhetoric and back in 2020, most all Democrats encouraged the Antifa riots which resulted in a lot of death.

Easily. You never want to get into prior restraint – that is, censorship. A person can literally say or print anything they want. Nobody can stop them.

But if what is said or printed is a lie…that’s where the law can step in.

First: exclude private conversations. Person A lies to Person B. Not a judicial matter unless it is, say, part of a con job in which case fraud laws will take over. Two guys BS-ing over beers in the bar can’t be hauled into court.

Next: we enact a law which holds people personally criminally and civilly liable for lies. It would work like this:

The accused must have said on video or in print (including, of course, internet posts) something that is claimed to be false and it must have reached an audience of at least 500,000 people. You can see where I’m going here – I’m not looking to get some nitwit who reposts an MSM lie, I’m going after the MSM liars…or the major social media accounts that repost MSM lies.

A civil case would be for when Person A lies about Person B. So, you’ve got some Social Media Influencer who says “hey, Famous Dude X is a drug addict”. Well, the Social Media Influencer better be able to prove that in court. If it can’t be proved, then Famous Dude X is going to own all of Social Media Influencer’s stuff. Key to this is that the Social Media Influencer is perfectly safe if the accusation is provable…or if they don’t make the accusation without proof. I don’t care if there are 10,000 rumors out there about FD-X’s drug addiction…do you have three witnesses who can testify to it? Any forensic evidence? Do you have any proof? If you don’t have proof, then quite honestly you shouldn’t be saying it. You might very well be slandering a person. Social Media Influencer’s need for clicks and views does not trump the right of people to not be falsely accused.

Flip Side: suppose Famous Dude X does accuse Social Media Influencer of lying about his drug addiction…drags SMI into court and then loses. SMI was able to prove it to the jury! Now SMI is going to own all of FD-X’s stuff. Loser pays. This stops false accusations of lying in their tracks. If you can’t prove the accused lied, then you’re on the hook.

Keep in mind here that this would even cover “it is alleged”. Yeah, that is just a weasel dodge. If you’re saying, “it is alleged that Famous Dude X is a drug addict” then everyone in the audience is dropping the word “alleged”. You can’t protect yourself by saying, “hey, a credible source told me”. Nope, you – the person who made the statement in public – has to be able to prove it. Not the unnamed source. This means the MSMer alleging that Trump is getting a kickback from Russia better be able to prove Trump is getting a kickback from Russia or Trump will own their ass.

The whole key here is: don’t lie. Not ever. Not even a little bit. If you aren’t 100% sure it happened, then it didn’t happen. Sure, this will cut heavily into salacious wink-wink/nudge-nudge social media posts…but I don’t care.

Criminal liability is a little different: someone will have to be physically harmed. But God help you if your lie does get someone hurt…you’re going to lose all your stuff and spend decades in jail. As it relates to this post, it was the “Gaza genocide” lie which put the gun in the killer’s hand. I would go through what the killer was reading and start arresting those who claimed there is a genocide in Gaza…and the whole thing would be, prove it or go to jail for accessory to murder. You told this nitwit there is a genocide in Gaza…he believed it and killed two people over it. He’s going to jail for that…and I’m going to send you to jail if you can’t prove there’s a genocide in Gaza.

And just like the civil case, everyone is 100% safe if they don’t lie. Just because the Palestinian officials are saying there is a genocide doesn’t mean there is. If you’er sitting here in the USA you’ve got Palestinians and their allies saying there’s a genocide. You’ve got Israel and her allies saying there isn’t. As an outsider you can’t existentially know one way or the other. So, don’t say it. You don’t know. You can’t say “we must stop the genocide in Gaza”…that, because you can’t possibly know – or prove it – is a lie. You can say “I don’t like what Israel’s doing in Gaza and I want them to stop. The Israelis are bad guys and I hope they lose. In fact, I think they got what they deserved on 10/7”. There’s no lie in any of that. It is a matter of opinion. But saying “we must stop the genocide in Gaza” is a statement of fact – the person saying that is claiming something to be a fact. That is it forensically known to be happening…like we know the Holocaust happened because we have the physical evidence and witness testimony to back it all up. It has, as it were, been proven in court. Whatever is happening in Gaza is entirely speculative right now…other than such facts as “Israeli planes dropped bombs on such and such a date”, nothing else is really known and can’t be known until the crisis ends. So maybe ease up on claiming genocide…because you don’t know if its happening then just maybe it isn’t happening at all (it isn’t – I can’t prove it isn’t, of course so under these laws I’d have to be careful, but the bottom line is it would make no sense for the Israelis to do that).

They need to get rid of the SALT exemption completely and stop subsidizing high tax blue States. But they won’t because every Senator is a multi millionaire and exposed to these taxes …. I don’t what’s worse; the fact that every Senator is a multi millionaire, or that high tax blue states are subsidized for their lunacy

every legislator should have to undergo a full comprehensive IRS audit and proctological exam every year while in office.

I can think of some legislators who might object to the proctological exam. Did you run this past Nancy Mace, Harriet Hageman, et al?

Nice set up, RDM. I can think of a few that all a proctological exam would reveal would be their head.

I have commented that Biden should have been able to do a visual confirmation of his prostate problems
