Wedding Is Days Away

Well everyone… I got engaged last Christmas, and the big day is finally arriving… Saturday night Beth and I will tie the knot.

Then, we are off to Hawaii for 8 days… You’ll have to pardon my extended absence from the blog, during that time… but with wedding plans and such, it has been a bit harder to blog as often as I would like.

Anyway, yes, the wedding… I am very excited and very lucky. Maybe, if you’re lucky, I’ll post a photo or two when I get back from the honeymoon.

Still Support ObamaCare? Read The Bill.

Yesterday on Twitter I said that no one who has actually read the Obamacare bill could honestly support it.I also explained that that is why he wanted to rush it through. Naturally, a few Obamabots on Twitter responded claiming they have read it and support it nonetheless. Oh really?

Granted, if you believe the government should have unlimited power with regards to the health care of Americans, sure, perhaps you may love the love the idea of a government committee rationing health care, issuing a national ID healthcard, and loads of other things that most Americans would think would be impossible to consider in the land of the free..

Domestic Divapalooza went through the bill herself earlier this month, picking out some devilish details. If you still support ObamaCare, by all means, say, for the record, that these things, explicitly mandated in the text of the bill, are things you support.

Otherwise, don’t pretend that you’ve actually read the bill, understood it all, and still love it to death.

Celebrating Racism…

because it’s okay from the left.

Wise Latina. The catch phrase of U.S. Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor’s Senate confirmation hearings has since taken on a life of its own, generating sales of T-shirts, note cards, dog jerseys and even thongs.

Sotomayor uttered her now famous words on several occasions — and her critics on many more. And while the newest Supreme Court Justice sought to explain the phrase, her supporters have embraced it.

“At 55, I better have some wisdom,” said Joyce Saenz Harris, a retired food writer in Dallas who recently bought a “Wise Latina” T-shirt.

“It just kind of struck me as funny,” said Saenz Harris, whose family originated from Mexico. “I have known a lot of wise Latinas in my life: my mother, my grandmother, my aunts. I thought, ‘Hey this is something I identify with, something I can aspire to.'”

Look how far we’ve come… Sotomayor’s racist comment that “a wise Latina woman with the richness of her experiences would more often than not reach a better conclusion than a white male who hasn’t lived that life,” has now been boiled down to something that is apparently marketable. Perhaps I should start selling shirts that say “typical white person.”

Death Panels and Public Option Dropped…

Ahh, what a beautiful day in America.

I am probably not the first person to say this, but, Obama is such a loser. He lost a lot of political capital from this heath care debacle, and it is sweet indeed to see that people are starting to realize what an incompetent fraud he is.

UPDATE: Obama Administration now says Sebelius “Mis-spoke” on dropping “public option”. Someone in kook-left-land must have sent a rocket up to the White House.

Random Thoughts, Observations, and Questions

If the government can spend it’s way out of bankruptcy, why can’t I spend my way out of debt?

Congressional pay raises ought to be approved by the voters, not by Congress. Try telling your boss that you and your co-workers voted yourselves a pay raise, and see how far that gets you.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. So are government abuses and corruption, it seems.

According to the Democrats, the difference between grassroots and astroturf are which party is being protested.

The way things are going, we’ll only be stuck with Barack Obama for four years. But, Sonia Sotomayor will be on the Supreme Court for life. Think about that the next time you plan to stay home on Election Day because the Republican “isn’t conservative enough.”

As the unemployment rate went down during the Bush years, Democrats kept telling us how much worse the economy was getting. As the unemployment rate goes up under Obama, Democrats keep telling us the worst is over.

Barack Obama is not a president. He’s just playing one in real life. And he’s really doing a crappy job.

In order to get my marriage license, I have to show two forms of ID, including my birth certificate.

After January 20, 2009, dissent went from the highest form of patriotism to being un-American.

Obama critics still don’t use the word “socialism” as much as Bush critics used the term “religious right.”

If you could choose any country in the world for your health care needs, which country would it be?

While on the subject, if Obama needs to go across the country to sell his health care plan at pre-screened town halls, then it will probably go as far as President Bush’s Social Security plan in 2005 did.

Have you ever read the health care bill? It ought to be called Obama’s Health Control Plan, not Health Care Plan. This is stuff you never would expect to see happen in America. It has everything to do with control, not quality of or access to health care.

Most who support Obama’s heath care plan probably support abortion rights. Abortion advocates often say the government shouldn’t have “control over my body.” So, why do they support a plan that allow the government to control what kind of medical care your body can or cannot receive?

Unlike Pelosi, I've Actually Seen Protesters With Swastikas

I took this picture at Ground Zero in New York City, back in 2004.

For eight years I have listened to folks on the left compare President Bush to Hitler, even combining the names into the single “Bushitler.”

Sure, I have seen photos of protesters with signs show Obama with a Hitler mustache… but what I don’t get is why is the left suddenly so offended by such comparisons? It’s revealing for the situation to be reversed isn’t it?

Cry me a river. lefties. Don’t dish it if you can’t take it. Don’t pretend to be above that stuff.
