The 20-year-old son of a Democratic state lawmaker in Tennessee was being cited on the Internet yesterday as a suspect in the hacking of vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin’s e-mail.
State Rep. Mike Kernell told The Tennesseean newspaper that his son, David Kernell, a student at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville, is the person being mentioned on blogs as the e-mail thief who bared Palin’s private correspondence to the world.
Kernell said he spoke to his son yesterday, but he declined further comment about the case.

Some of that Democrat Leadership for Ya
According to Bloomberg News, the Democratic-controlled Congress may just adjourn and leave the financial crisis to the Fed and Treasury… and Harry Reid says “no one knows what to do.”
It’s nice to know that Democrats would rather go on vacation than address the financial crisis.

Biden: Paying Higher Taxes Is Patriotic
Joe Biden calls income distribution “patriotic.” I call it Socialism.
Democratic vice presidential candidate Joe Biden said Thursday that paying more in taxes is the patriotic thing to do for wealthier Americans. The Republican campaign for president calls the tax increases their Democratic opponents propose “painful” instead of patriotic.
[…]
“We want to take money and put it back in the pocket of middle-class people,” Biden said in an interview on ABC’s “Good Morning America.”
Noting that wealthier Americans would indeed pay more, Biden said: “It’s time to be patriotic … time to jump in, time to be part of the deal, time to help get America out of the rut.”
Unbelievable.

McCain Endorsed by Member of DNC Platform Committee
Todayit was announced that Lynn Forester de Rothschild, a prominent Hillary Clinton supporter and member of the Democratic National Committee’s Platform Committee, endorsed John McCain and Sarah Palin.
“In an election as important at this, we must choose the candidate who has a proven record of bipartisanship and reforming government, and that’s John McCain,” Rothschild said. “We can’t afford a president who lacks experience and judgment and has never crossed party lines to work for meaningful reform. Amid tough economic times and foreign policy concerns, we need someone who is ready to lead. Although I am a Democrat, I recognize that it’s more important to put country ahead of party and that’s why I support John McCain.”
Rothschild, an attorney and businesswoman, supported Sen. Clinton during the Democratic primaries. She will campaign for Sen. McCain through Election Day.
One can’t overstate the significance of this endorsement. This speaks highly to John McCain’s bipartisan appeal. Since the Democrats took over Congress, partisan bickering has only gotten worse. Democrats promised bipartisanship, but delivered partisan rancor. Barack Obama has proven to be part of the problem, not part of the solution. If Lynn Forester de Rothschild can recognize Obama’s partisanship and lack of competence, then I have no doubt many Democrats will recognize the same thing and vote for McCain in November.

Obama in 2007: Sex Ed For Kindergarteners "The Right Thing To Do"
We’ve already pointed out that the McCain ad accusing Barack Obama of supporting sex education for kindergarteners was in fact true…
But, you don’t have to take our word for it, you can just ask Obama back in 2007:
ABC News’ Teddy Davis and Lindsey Ellerson Report: Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., told Planned Parenthood Tuesday that sex education for kindergarteners, as long as it is “age-appropriate,” is “the right thing to do.”
“I remember Alan Keyes . . . I remember him using this in his campaign against me,” Obama said in reference to the conservative firebrand who ran against him for the U.S. Senate in 2004. Sex education for kindergarteners had become an issue in his race against Keyes because of Obama’s work on the issue as chairman of the health committee in the Illinois state Senate.
“‘Barack Obama supports teaching sex education to kindergarteners,'” said Obama mimicking Keyes’ distinctive style of speech. “Which — I didn’t know what to tell him (laughter).”
“But it’s the right thing to do,” Obama continued, “to provide age-appropriate sex education, science-based sex education in schools.”
Change Isn't About Slogans…
…unless you’re Barack Obama.
The other day Obama said, “Change isn’t about slogans, it’s about substance.”
And believe it or not, today he’s changed his change slogan.
Obama, whose slogan has long been “Change We Can Believe In,” has since the end of the Democratic National Convention in late August altered his rallying cry — and not because it ends in a preposition.
Obama now speaks at a podium that bears the words “Change We Need.”
Of course, Obama saying “change ins’t about slogans, it’s about substance” is pretty funny in itself since he has run a campaign completely devoid of substance.
