The New Black Panther case was the simplest and most obvious violation of federal law I saw in my Justice Department career. Because of the corrupt nature of the dismissal, statements falsely characterizing the case and, most of all, indefensible orders for the career attorneys not to comply with lawful subpoenas investigating the dismissal, this month I resigned my position as a Department of Justice (DOJ) attorney.

This is illustrative of the Obama administration’s willful ignorance and total disregard for the rule of law. The Obama administration has put its imprimatur on voter intimidation, especially if it enhances his agenda and cements his power.

Expect more of this come November and expect more intimidation of voters and of citizens in general until the day that this thug regime is removed from power.

At the same time, expect a push-back from Americans who will not allow themselves to be subjected to these fascist, jack-booted tactics from a megalomaniacal regime whose aim is to not govern but to subjugate.

There is no American who should stand for this, and any move to excuse this flagrant abuse of power by any Obama apologist (or anyone else) should be presumed as coming from one who is, like Barack Hussein Obama, an enemy of liberty.

There is a lot of deserved hoopla over the sacrifices made by our veterans in WWII, Vietnam, Afghanistan, and OIF I & II. But somehow, WWII is often mentioned, with a skip over to Vietnam, and Korea appears to be but a footnote.

On this 60th anniversary of the start of the Korean War, lest we forget, (emphases mine)

• 6.8 million served on active-duty during the Korean War
• 1.8 million served during period of hostilities 36,940 died in theater during the war
• 4,793 died while missing in action
• 92,100 service members were wounded in theater, some several times
• 8,176 are still listed as missing in action 7,140 were POWs of whom 4,418 returned
• 131 Korean War participants received the Medal of Honor

The median age of Korean war vets in 2003 was 69, thus bringing the age now to 76.

In the series, M*A*S*H, the self-righteous surgeons (i.e., Alan Alda) of the 4077th often decried the ‘futility’ of the war, and the overarching message was that our men in the service were killed and wounded for no reason.

I beg to differ:

Without the sacrifices endured by our fighting men and women in Korea, the whole damned peninsula (and quite possibly beyond that) would have shared the fate of the northern half, and the pall that currently reigns over North Korea would have relegated a similar fate to untold millions more.

The next time the White House feels the compulsion to apologize for American “arrogance,” the Apologist in Chief may do well to take a gander at the above photo.

I have participated in my company’s flex plan for quite some time now. It was a way for families to reduce the cost of their health care by making the money you spend on non-prescription, non-direct care medically-related items into pre-tax deductions, and reimbursed as you go along.

Not only that, but my wife happens to work for a subsidiary of Baxter medical. A number of years ago, employees were awarded 100 shares each of Baxter stock- a great company with stature and a promising future in the medical field.

Well, wouldn’t you know, that with a stroke of a pen, His Royal Arrogance, Barack Hussein Obama (D-Mm-Mm-Mm-pbuh), took over $1300 out of our pockets with his signing of that miraculous “health care reform” bill:

Shares of Baxter International Inc. dropped 13 percent Thursday after the company lowered its 2010 financial outlook, citing the loss of market share for key plasma-derived therapies and the impact of the government’s massive health care overhaul..

Yeah, quiz kid. You certainly did “do it.”

Or is the religion of Global Warming a mental illness in and of itself?
Now they’re blaming everything from cancer to mental illness on global warming (emphases added):

(CNSNews.com) – A new government report says global warming could lead to an increase in both cancer and mental illness worldwide, and it calls for more federally funded research to determine how that might happen. [And monkey’s just might fly out of my posterior, too. I wonder if I should apply for a grant–ed.]

The report, A Human Health Perspective on Climate Change, was published by the Interagency Working Group on Climate Change and Health – a combination of scientists from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, NIH, State Department, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, Department of Agriculture, the EPA, and the Department of Health and Human Services.

First of all, the audacity of linking mental health to global warming is itself the near-definition of being unhinged. But these ‘scientists’ (and I use the term loosely) are covering all their bases on finding a raison d’ etre in their desperate quest for relevancy; even going so far as to throw Obama’s beloved green jobs under the bus:

The report’s overall thrust is for more federally funded research to investigate the alleged links between global warming and public health, including the [Get this–ed] potentially negative effects from warming and the potentially negative side-effect of green technologies.

This report, funded courtesy of your tax dollars, is filled with all the doublespeak and pointy-headed gobbledygook that we’ve come to know and love from academia:

Despite these warnings and predictions, the report admitted that the government knows little about whether or not any of these supposed new causes of cancer will actually cause any more cancer.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but something either causes cancer, or it doesn’t. If it doesn’t actually cause, cancer, then it must not really be a cause of cancer, new or otherwise.

Onward and upward now, as we sally forth into mental illness:

“The most common mental health conditions associated with extreme events range from acute traumatic stress to more chronic stress-related conditions such as post-traumatic stress disorder, complicated grief, depression, anxiety disorders, somatic complaints, poor concentration, sleep difficulties, sexual dysfunction, social avoidance, irritability, and drug or alcohol abuse,” reads the report.

No doubt Viagra folks are now in the process of hiring hobos to empty spray cans into the atmosphere to hasten the process. The doctors are even prescribing risperdal to children but they do not research risperdal side effects on children. So many kids become sick from this medication.

Of course, these clowns warn that more taxpayer funded research is needed:

As with global warming-caused cancer, the report admits that much more scientific work is needed on the links between global warming and mental illness, saying “numerous research gaps exist.”

As Bugs Bunny would say, “What a bunch of maroons.”

But in all seriousness, Mental illness is only part of it.

The other part of it is the ‘scientific’ community grasping at straws, now that their global warming strawman has been uncovered.

No doubt, research funds are now drying up, and they’re looking for any angle, any angle or crisis, manufactured or otherwise, to which they could attach as a raison d’etre to extend their greasy, grimy, malfesant claws to beg for more money from the public trough.

They used to have credibility. They lost it. They used to wield a lot of power in terms of influencing legislation and policy; now they are held as laughingstock by all except for the ever-declining numbers of fellow-travellers remaining in their ever-shrinking echo-chamber (unfortunately, the current POTUS remains among their declining ranks).

Look for them to become more rabid, more shrieking, more unhinged, and to make even more outlandish claims as their relevancy diminishes even further as their nefarious aims and quack methodologies continue to be exposed.

It took a Carter to give us a Reagan; it took Obama for the nation to wake up to the fact that all-out socialism ain’t all it’s cracked up to be.

If it wasn’t for Obama’s ambitious agenda of radical, in-your-face socialist, statist ‘change,’ I think it would have literally been a decade or two before folks would have been awakened; since prior to Obama, a slow incrementalism, steady-as-she-goes march toward socialism was the order of the day. We would have been as sleeping insects on a spider’s web, being slowly yet firmly entangled in the web of socialism until it was too late to crawl out of it.

Obama’s ambitious agenda, while damaging, hasn’t yet taken its full toll, and in my estimation, the leftward list can still be corrected, and the ship can be now be righted before any permanent damage takes hold.

As Nazi Germany most likely would had never been vanquished had the Japanese not attacked Pearl Harbor, I believe that the decades-long onerous march toward socialism and statism will never have been slowed had Obama not been elected.

Rahm Emanuel once quipped that a ‘good crisis’ should never go to waste.

That phrase came as a warning shot across the bow of a complacent, sleepy American electorate. The American people wisely heeded Emanuel’s advice; took note of the impending crisis of their loss of liberties and encroachment of the State, and in the form of Tea Partys, Washington protests, and heretofore unheard-of electoral victories in special elections, have since seized the opportunity to stop the march of socialism dead in its tracks, and are in the process of giving it a swift kick to the rear of the bus for what should be a long time to come.

In this sense, and in this sense only, I believe that we may actually owe Barack Hussein Obama (mm..mm..mm.. pbuh) a debt of gratitude.

Well, shucks–that was mighty nice of ol’ Joe–I mean–to offer the resources of Organizing for America to write a letter of ‘thanks’ to Amy Klobuchar and Al Franken for their thoughtful consideration in voting for Obamacare! It was so nice, that I thought I would take him up on his offer. So, I wrote the following LTE to the St. Cloud Times, the Star Tribune, and the Duluth Tribune, all on OFA’s dime:

I am writing this letter to voice my disgust over Senators Al Franken and Amy Klobuchar’s blind passage of the behemoth health care bill that is neither about bringing down the cost of health care nor of expanding the coverage of quality health care. Already we are seeing the effects of planned layoffs at corporations who will, by virtue of the mandates of the bill, be required to lay off hundreds of workers, merely to stay in business. This, along with the proposed Value Added Tax (VAT) could not come at a worse time, and will only prolong this, the greatest recession since the 1930s. This bill was ill conceived from the onset, and it is clear that Senators Klobuchar and Franken lacked the integrity to do the right thing and to block the passage to the greatest affront to America’s personal and financial liberties since before the American Revolution.

Rest assured, the voters will long remember this transgression, and Senators Klobuchar and Franken will go down in History in the Hall of One-Term Wonders.

As Red State and Let Freedom Ring have reported, there is a movement afoot led by democrat representative Louise Slaughter to pass the Senate version of the Health Care bill without even having to vote on it. As Congress Daily reports:

House Rules Chairwoman Louise Slaughter is prepping to help usher the healthcare overhaul through the House and potentially avoid a direct vote on the Senate overhaul bill, the chairwoman said Tuesday.

Slaughter is weighing preparing a rule that would consider the Senate bill passed once the House approves a corrections bill that would make changes to the Senate version.

This end-around around the Constitutional intent of internal and external checks and balances is nothing less than appalling and dictatorial.

As the polls clearly illustrate, the democrats are now attempting to rule against the consent of the governed, and are doing so with an iron fist, regardless of the consequences. Although they know full well that their present course will invariably spell political disaster for them in November, they continue to press on and fall on their swords for their megalomanaiacal commander in chief. This brazen and blatant thwarting of the will of the people is illustrative of the democrat majority and President Obama acting not as elected representatives, but as overlords.

At least Bill Clinton had enough sense to read the tea leaves in 1994 that the public wanted no part of government-run health care, and let the issue go. In 2006, George W. Bush let go of his signature issue, the privatization of Social Security (which to this day I believe was a good idea) when the democrats convinced a majority of the people to reject it. But Barack Hussein Obama, being the narcissist and megalomaniac that he is, will have none of it. Tyrant and statist that he is, he will get his ‘legacy’ enacted, even at the expense of his underlings, and even at the expense of the well-being of the American people.

Well, we certainly have our ‘change,’ don’t we. I’m still waiting on the ‘hope’ part; but I won’t hold my breath.

All in the name of faux science:

Francisco Lotero, 56, and Miriam Coletti, 23, shot their daughter and her toddler brother before killing themselves.

Their son Francisco, two, died instantly after being hit in the back.

However, their unnamed daughter cheated death after the bullet from her father’s handgun missed her vital organs.

Police were alerted by worried neighbours who discovered the massacre three days after the shooting and the girl was taken to hospital.

The youngster is recovering in hospital in the town of Goya in the northern Argentine province of Corrientes, where doctors say she is out of danger.

Her parents said they feared the effects of global warming in a suicide note discovered by police.

So not only have Algore and the warmers cost our society untold billions of dollars in wasted money, people are now committing suicide, feeling themselves unworthy of life itself as a result of the failed religion of global warming.

Despite the fact that the data behind the faux science of global warming have been fudged, disproved, and outright falsified, the high priest of the Church of the Global Warmers, Algore, remains a bitter clinger:

I, for one, genuinely wish that the climate crisis were an illusion. But unfortunately, the reality of the danger we are courting has not been changed by the discovery of at least two mistakes in the thousands of pages of careful scientific work over the last 22 years by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. In fact, the crisis is still growing because we are continuing to dump 90 million tons of global-warming pollution every 24 hours into the atmosphere — as if it were an open sewer.

It is true that the climate panel published a flawed overestimate of the melting rate of debris-covered glaciers in the Himalayas, and used information about the Netherlands provided to it by the government, which was later found to be partly inaccurate. In addition, e-mail messages stolen from the University of East Anglia in Britain showed that scientists besieged by an onslaught of hostile, make-work demands from climate skeptics may not have adequately followed the requirements of the British freedom of information law.

But the scientific enterprise will never be completely free of mistakes. What is important is that the overwhelming consensus on global warming remains unchanged.

Or is that unhinged?

Word to “Reverend Al”–not only are people bankrupting themselves–they’re starting to kill themselves over your faux religion.
