Canadians Flee Oppression

Rather sad, actually:

Conn Esq Web Design was originally intended to be a corporation offering internet design and programming services, holding Free Dominion as an example of its production. But in the past year the corporation has begun to see ownership of Free Dominion as too much of a potential liability because the website has become a target for individuals and government organizations determined to attack freedom of speech, using a variety of methods at their disposal. Considering the political climate in Canada today, Conn Esq Web Design Ltd. has made the corporate decision to sell Free Dominion to Liberty News Service Inc. of Panama City, Panama.

Liberty News Service’s corporate mission is to buy websites from individuals and corporations living in countries where free speech is under attack, and protect those websites from being shut down or seized by oppressive governments.

What is the trouble? Well, you can get a barely legible complaint (PDF) filed against your publication by a radical Islamist, and one of Canada’s varied “human rights commissions” can haul you before a tribunal (PDF) to answer the charges. Even if you prevail, its going to cost you time and money to defend yourself…so, better to bow down and give up freedom of speech…or “outsource” your liberty to Panama. Free Dominion is just pre-emptively avoiding having to defend basic freedom of speech against fascist, PC-police in Canada.

One upon a time, Canada generously poured out its blood and treasure to defend freedom – now it attacks freedom in order to prevent incipient tryants from being allegedly offended.

Lawrence O’Donnell said it all in an interview recently with Hugh Hewitt:

    >>>>>Lawrence O’Donnell: Oh, well, I’m afraid of what the…that’s where I’m really afraid. I would like to criticize Islam much more than I do publicly, but I’m afraid for my life if I do.<<<<

There is a fairly large segment of the population of western civilizations that will cower to Islamic bullying, and I include many in the Democratic party of our own country in with them. This cowardice will prolong the efforts to eliminate this cancerous scourge we currently face, and will ultimately lead to more innocent deaths of which the cowards rightfully protest. However, their anger is misdirected, focusing instead on the easy targets, Christians, and the militaries that are fighting to end this threat.

I will nominate Phillip, and possibly libT as our two resident airheads who exemplify the cowardice that so many people have towards radical Islam.

People like them are truly the ones responsible for the current death and destruction.

And this doesn’t even touch the whole french language police situation in the province of Quebec. There, they have officers with the sole job of regulating (and handing out tickets and fines) the useage, visibility and prominence of English.

If you own a business in Quebec, you must comply with strict regulations should you wish to display anything in English. French (or any other non-English language)? No problem at all.

It is state intervention at its very worst.

Big reason why I am so proud to call the USA my home and why I support the GOP.

Just as soon as we finish spreading freedom and democracy in Iraq I say let’s invade Canada and give them a taste of freedom and democracy too.

Sure many will complain saying: “No War for Beer.” But we’ve had to deal with the anti-war crazies as a part of every war we’ve fought. Just as long as the Pentagon doesn’t call the invasion “Operation Molson’s, or Operation Moose Head” we should be okay.

The Canadians have suffered under their current regime long enough and I say we get up there and start drinking, er, fighting for their freedom right away.

Ahem ……… make that TWO border fences, please.

LaMano: Ahem ……… make that TWO border fences, please.

Yeah, dammit. And damn the cost, too. We need 20 ft fences all across both borders. And when the 21 ft ladder is invented, we need to retrofit the borders with 25 ft fences. And when 26 ft ladders are invented…

Then there’s always shovels. And boats. And forged passports.

Whatever else you can say about the whole situation, it seems to me the inherent myopia involved in building physical fences along all our borders is fairly obvious.

Rico, well – we’ve got guns. Point them at 20 feet and 1 inch. That would do it. And point them at the bow of the boat and let them drive into the fire. That works. And dig deep and plant mines, that works. And check the passports real hard and add fingerprints and DNA to the database.

    Anything else we forgot?
