14.1, 12.4, 12.1, 12.1, 11.5, 11.3, 10.8, 10.7, 10.7, 10.6, 10.6, 10.2

That is the unemployment rates for Michigan, Oregon, Rhode Island, South Carolina, California, Nevada, Ohio, District of Columbia, Tennessee, Kentucky, Indiana and Florida – that is 11 States plus the District of Columbia having 10% or greater unemployment. 7 other States are within a percentage point of 10% unemployment.

All that “green shoots” talk out of Obama and his Democrats saying the economy is getting better?

Complete and utter BS.

UN Plan to Destroy Childhood Condemned

Just why on Earth does anyone even want to bring up sexual matters to children, anyways?

Pro-life leader Fr. Thomas J. Euteneur has criticized a United Nations council’s proposal for early childhood “comprehensive sexuality education” as an imposition of “hedonistic values” and a violation of the rights of parents.

Earlier in June, the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) issued a resolution at a Jamaica meeting calling for “comprehensive sexuality education starting in early childhood.” The resolution said that scientific evidence shows that “comprehensive sexuality education” does not accelerate “sexual debut” and does not increase the frequency of sexual relations.

Commenting in a press release, Human Life International president Fr. Euteneur said the claim was “absolute nonsense,” since “almost every study on the topic” shows the exact opposite.

“Condom promotion has not stopped HIV in the developing world. And propagandizing young children about a value-neutral approach to sex, and telling them that they’ll be safe if they use condoms is exactly how you get them to start practicing sex before marriage.”

“This outrage is perpetrated by pagans forcing their hedonistic values on the families of the only Catholic continent in the world. It is a violation of sovereignty of nations and of the rights of parents to teach their kids on these delicate matters,” he said.

Somehow or another, humanity managed to impart knowledge of sex to people without sex education for thousands of years. Somehow or another, people without the benefit of sex education yet managed to have sex. It seems to me that sex education cannot be other than propaganda in favor of ever earlier sexual activity, necessarily outside the bonds of matrimony. In other words, what we’re doing is diligently enslaving children to lust, and telling them that its a good things – we’re making slaves who will think that they’re ability to have sex makes them free. Meanwhile, real power will be held by those who pull the education strings. Its small wonder that people fight hard to defend their “privacy” (ie, ability to get away with illicit sex), but don’t raise a peep about plans to, say, have government decide their health care for them.

We need to stop this nonsense – sex education is a bane and free people don’t need it.

Pro-Life Leaders Threatened

Will President Obama take note? Will there be endless stories about how the rhetoric of the pro-abortion fanatics causing people to become violent?

Since the murder of George Tiller, the Kansas late-term abortionist, several pro-life leaders have been receiving credible death threats, according to a report at pewsitter.com.

Jill Stanek, a pro-life blogger and columnist, Troy Newman, from Operation Rescue, and Fr. Frank Pavone, from Priest for Life, have all received death threats from at least one person, whom Stanek says is a pro-abortion activist whose mother has aborted a number of siblings.

Stanek has been a particular target of the ire of pro-abortion activists who believe that the “rhetoric” of the mainstream pro-life movement is responsible for Tiller’s murder. Last week she was singled out as the “worst person in the world” by MSNBC host Keith Olbermann, who accused Stanek of posting the addresses of the abortion facilities of late-term abortionists – a charge that Stanek says is completely false.

“Let me know which address is right, there’s a few I could post. Or I could just drive around the houses and wait to see which one you walk out of…. Don’t worry, I will find it,” states one threat Stanek received.

On the blog of Priests for Life, of which Fr. Frank Pavone is the head, an anonymous writer wrote: “Killing Father Frank will not be murder. It will be justifiable homicide.”

Our side won’t worry about it – God will protect us and the machinations of the wicked with always come to naught. But it is time for the pro-abortion movement to cease demonizing us.

UPDATE: Meanwhile, Planned Parenthood is demanding that death not be cut out of California’s budget.

Walpin….gate?

It gets more interesting:

… the news out of Sacramento today may have a bigger ultimate effect in stoking the story. The Acting US Attorney there, Lawrence Brown, confirmed to the Sacramento Bee that the FBI is probing obstruction of justice allegations made by a former executive of St. HOPE, the local non-profit, formerly led by Johnson, that Walpin had been looking into.

Rick Maya, who officially quit last week as St. HOPE’s executive director, claimed in a resignation letter written in April that a member of the St. HOPE’s board deleted Johnson’s emails during Walpin’s investigation into the misuse of funds at the non-profit.

Brown’s office now says it has asked the FBI to look into that allegation.

We might need one of them, thar Independent Counsel thingies to get to the bottom of this – better for Obama and Co to come clean, right now…allow this to fester and it will just get worse.

Toomey Has an Uphill Fight in Pennsylvania

But its certainly possible for him to become the next Republican Senator from Pennsylvania:

Likely Republican nominee Pat Toomey trails both of the Democrats who are vying for their party’s nomination – Senator Arlen Specter and Rep. Joe Sestak – in potential match-ups for next year’s U.S. Senate race in Pennsylvania.

A new Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of Pennsylvania voters shows Specter leading Toomey by 11 points, 50% to 39%.

Sestak bests Toomey by a narrower 41% to 35%.

But incumbents who poll at 50% or less are generally viewed as vulnerable, and Specter, who recently switched parties to become a Democrat, may face a bruising Democratic primary. Also, Toomey could be helped or hurt by the state of the economy and the level of President Obama’s popularity 17 months from now.

My bet is that Sestak will emerge as the Democrats’ choice – unless the Powers That Be really pressure the Democrat party in PA to swing behind Specter. There’s something really upsetting about the Powerful foisting upon an electorate a political turncoat who is only in it for himself – I think that PA Democrats will reject Specter. If Specter does win because the Democrat leadership twists arms, then I think that Specter would be fatally weakened – Democrats would stay home on election day and thus hand the election to Toomey by default.

On the other hand, the battle between Sestak and Toomey would be an epic political struggle between left and right – a clearly liberal Democrat against a clearly conservative Republican in a blue State which has plenty of conservative impulses (such as being strongly pro-life); we couldn’t ask for a better battle or a finer debate than that…and all of it with the backdrop of Obama and the judgment on his first two years in office.

Democrats Treat Obama's "No Lobbyist Money" Pledge as the Sick Joke Everyone (other than leftists) Knew it Was

This is among the least surprising news of the day:

President Barack Obama’s strict ban on lobbyist contributions will limit the haul from Thursday night’s fundraising dinner for congressional Democrats, but organizers have found a way around it: a morning-after event at the same hotel where lobbyists — and their money — will be welcomed with open arms.

Invitations for the $5,000-per-person Issues Conference don’t say it’s an effort to skirt Obama’s lobbying ban, but they walk right up to the edge.

“Please note that the Friday Issues Conference is NOT subject to lobbyist restrictions, though the event is intended for personal contributions only,” a finance official from the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee wrote in an e-mail sent to lobbyists Tuesday and obtained by POLITICO, bolding the entire sentence to underscore the clarification. “The Issues Conference is separate from the DSCC/DCCC events with President Obama.”

One prominent Democratic lobbyist unhappy with the situation described it vividly: “It’s almost like the ugly girl that you want to call late at night — but don’t want to be seen with on a date.”

Now, my dear liberals, do understand that any statement by Obama and his Democrats that they will be for the little guy, will fight corruption, will do the right thing – its all utter BS. They don’t mean it. They know you’ll buy it because you are rather weak minded and easily controllable because you lack any sense of intellectual curiosity – here’s your chance to break free! You can realize that you’ve been conned! You can try independent thought! Honest – it only hurts the first time you do it.
