The news is the latest blow to a scandal-plagued group whose public image has taken a beating in recent weeks after some of its employees were caught on video trying to help a couple posing as a prostitute and pimp evade tax laws.
The community organizing group ACORN mismanaged about $200,000 received from the Justice Department, which failed to track how the allocated money was used, according to a report by the department’s watchdog.
In the corrupt world of Democrat politics, what happens is that “walking around money” is passed out to lower-level organizers and hustlers who then deliver the votes – real or imagined – on election day. Essentially, to ask where the 200 grand went is to not understand at all what ACORN is about. ACORN is the process whereby Democrat machine politics are put on the federal payroll – thus dispensing with all that tedious solicitation of donations, FEC reporting requirements and other things which just slow down the process.
What the left didn’t figure on was the new media busting the scandal wide open – they knew the MSM would by and large ignore the corruption, but they forgot about Breitbart, Fox News and the blogosphere.
As I’ve said before, once we are back in power, it will be vital for us to ensure a large number of people go to jail – we have to clean up our politics; get it out of the sewer the left placed it in.
