JS Online has an excellent, detailed report of what happened. To nutshell it, for reasons unknown a large group of black youths went on a rampage at the State Fair, appearing to single out whites for attack. This event took place in Wisconsin, a State noted for its liberal efforts at “diversity” (in fact, the State Fair, itself, has been taking great pains to be be more “diverse”), with only a relatively small black community (a bit more than 6% of the population) and no history of racially motivated attacks. So, why did it happen?
Because we told these kids to do it. Yes – you, me; all of us. For more than a generation we have poured filth in to the mind of youth…pornography, violence, glorified gangsters, racialist divisions created by politicians on the make, go ahead and fornicate we’ll get you an abortion, ignorance disguised by self-esteem training, lack of respect for law and tradition. We’ve shoved this relentlessly in to the youth of our nation…and now we’re going to get all shocked that some of them went on a rampage. I’m not – I’m expecting more of this, and for it to get worse. We’re supposed to take our youth and civilize it…instead, what we’ve done is barbarize it. And there is a thing about barbarians – they act barbarically.
It is going to be difficult to deal with this. It might get so bad that only the crudest and cruelest force will make the most incorrigible in to responsible citizens. But however we deal with it, this will be a protracted and difficult process. The cure for it will be found in protecting the current crop of little kids from the filth. We have to stand up and start acting like adults – start insisting that “free speech” does not include making profits off of selling pornography and violence to kids; start insisting that kids learn in school, not learn to merely think highly of themselves; start teaching kids to respect law and tradition.
Or we can ignore our duty and allow more and worse things to happen. It will. You can rely on it. This was just some kids out on a rampage. But eventually they or their successors will kill…they will become the tools of those who want to use violence to get what they want, whether it is mafia-like criminals, or budding tyrants who want to destroy our republic. We have it in our power to call a halt to this and restore decency in our nation…and ensure that the next generation of young people will not do such things as this.

So many mistakes. First these aren’t kids they are criminals. Second the same “filth”is rather uniform throughout society but crimes like these are not uniform. As for race, the lack of diversity in Orange County isn’t exactly leading to lynchings.
A good parallel might be with crimes of the KKK which occurred long before internet pornography and the like. The common thread is a group of individuals looking for attention, with nothing “interesting” going on in their lives and no hope that anything significant will ever happen to them. These are losers in every sense. When a mob of bored male losers gets together without a purpose bad things occur.

Once upon a time young men in the South did go on violent rampages and terrorize people of other races at churches, picnics, what have you. The Klan did speak at State fairs in the 20’s. The undoing of the Klan took decades and ultimately peer pressure was involved. Society came to treat Klan members as redneck losers who couldn’t do anything useful.

Pretty close. The last I checked, about 6 months ago, out of state room, board and tuition for Miami was $36,000. When I was a freshman in 1963, it was around $1,750. Back then my dad made around $20,000 a year, and my mom didn’t work. A family today, to keep the same tuition to income ratio would have to make over $400,000.

Bardolf has it right – senseless acts of violence have happened all through history. There have been public lynchings in this country in my lifetime. A mentally ill homeless man was bludgeoned to death by six cops in Fullerton, California barely a month ago. Did we tell those cops to do that, too?
We did not. However, clinical schizophrenia may render a person incorrigible in some respects, so those who call for “the crudest and cruelest force” to make the incorrigible into responsible citizens might share a little of the responsibility for that.

The point is, Mark is way off the mark to conclude “we told those kids to do it.” There are other, larger forces at work in society. Those kids in Wisconsin don’t have any historical perspective; they are operating from a limbic rather than a rational frame of reference.
There is far less to rationalize the actions of American lynchers, who were socially and culturally assimilated, and who understood (or should have) Christian precepts.
My bottom line is, judge not, lest you be judged. Examine yourself, to find whether your own attitude encourages violence against marginalized people. Case in point, Israel’s treatment of Palestinians in Gaza – much of which is analogous to the treatment of blacks in the American south decades ago – and is wholly excused by the far right today.

You have little understanding of the Klan if you think it was about young, white kids just going on a rampage…the group was organized by men who were very much adults and who wanted to keep the black man as cheap labor since he could no longer be kept as a slave. That is all it was ever about; all that feces about race was just a way to convince poor whites to be the Ruling Class’ muscle…and it was never random violence, it was all directed towards a purpose (curiously enough, among the American leadership in the first growth of the Klan only President Grant saw it for what is was – and proposed the solution which would have cured it right quick: offer to black American in the South the ability to move away…had that policy been carried out, the southern whites would swiftly have called a different tune because, as I said, it was all about keeping cheap labor). This is far worse than the racially motivated attacks at last year’s Iowa State Fair during “beat whitey night.” The dramatic and unprecedented rise in black on white violence across America has yet to be addressed by Mr. Obama or any of the leadership in Washington who are far more concerned with attacking Tea Party members as racists and terrorists than they are in facing any of the real issues which are tearing our country apart.
Alds. Bob Donovan and Joe Dudzik issued a joint statement in reaction to the violence: “Let’s face it, it also has much to do with a deteriorating African American culture in our city. Are large groups of Hispanics or Hmong going out in large mobs and violently attacking whites? No.”
This incident follows the ugly Fourth of July weekend attacks in Milwaukee.
About 60 young people beat and robbed a smaller group that had been watching fireworks from Kilbourn Reservoir Park. The injured people were white, the attackers were African-American, witnesses said.
Of course, I wouldn’t hold my breath as this is the man who has whipped up crowds with lines like “if they bring a knife, we bring a gun.” The post-racial presidency of Barack Hussein Obama has ushered in a new era of racial hatred and violence that will last long after his presidency has been consigned to the dust-bin of history, which can come none too soon if our nation is to survive .

Are Flash Mobs Abrogating the Treaty?

Twitter and Facebook aside, groups of young blacks who violently harass whites and Asians (“flash mobs”) are hardly new. In the 1960s this was called “wilding,” and for over a decade New York City subways (and probably much public transportation elsewhere) became almost unusable thanks to black teenagers who moved from car to car terrorizing hapless white riders.
Nevertheless, today’s flash mobs (for a listing of attacks, see http://violentflashmobs.com/) are disturbing beyond the immediate violence. In the context of contemporary race relations, this growing epidemic of anti-white mayhem was not supposed to happen. Blacks attacking whites because they are white represents an abrogation of a decades-long treaty between whites and blacks. Not a treaty in the formal sense, but an “understanding” that might as well be a legal contract. Let me explain.
The 1960s saw widespread black violence, much of it explicitly anti-white. This ranged from week-long urban riots to individual blacks killing or raping whites opportunistically. Many victims were chosen only because of race. The government’s response was both enhanced policing and, of the utmost relevance, today’s racial spoils system: affirmative action, set asides, massive anti-poverty spending, Justice Department decrees to help blacks get elected, dumbed down civil service standards, easy home mortgages and sundry other “help blacks” programs. You can also add race-driven political correctness: banning “offensive” words (e.g., colored), exaggerating the role of blacks in American history, glowing media portrayals, downplaying black-on-white violent crime, and everything else designed to massage black egos. And for good measure, add hate crime laws, speech codes, and draconian punishment for those who spoke the truth on race. This is the price white America now pays for public safety.
The Treaty’s aim was to stop the underclass from running wild by creating a black middle class who would, it was assumed, keep a lid on things out of economic self-interest. A newly appointed affirmative-action $125,000-a-year black school principal might not boost test scores but he would not encourage pupils to seek economic justice “by any means necessary.” Better to have potential rabble-rousers toiling as corporate vice-presidents for diversity than stirring up the brothers.
Endless failed policies have not undermined the Treaty. In education, for example, Head Start and school meals funding is still growing despite disappointing outcomes. Armies of support staff now fill largely black schools even though academic performance remains unchanged. Clearly, this lavishness can be understood only as a pay-off to sustain racial peace.
The Treaty is sacrosanct across the ideological spectrum, and even admitting its existence is verboten. Nobody dare ask, for example, if all the affirmative action hires or government set-a-sides that guarantee domestic tranquility actually yield economic benefits. No struggling black university student worries that flunking out will endanger affirmative action; a dreadful drop-out rate will only bring more government largess.
Since the 1960s, with scant exceptions, this pay-off has been amazingly successful. Once common “race war” rhetoric (burn baby burn, the fire next time etc.) has virtually vanished. Urban riots have gone from once a week to once a decade. Black militancy has largely reverted to its pre-1960s form of litigation and legislative demands. White mayors no longer walk the streets to keep the peace during the “long hot summer” or plead for Washington money so they can hire community-activist firebrands. Yes, black crime persists, black-run cities like Newark and Detroit sink into Third-World depravity, and whites are sometimes the victims of black crime, but 1960s style anti-white mayhem (and revolutionary oratory) has, at least until very recently, almost vanished.
The key question is whether these flash mobs are the first inklings of a soon-to-be broken Treaty (recall how the “Arab Spring” began with a single, seemingly innocuous incident). It is not inconceivable that America could return to 1960s-style racial upheaval. It is this possibility, not the criminality per se, that makes proliferating flash mobs especially frightening. Aggressive policing in response could prompt a vintage urban riot, and rioting is often contagious. Fiscal cutbacks might end millions of government “make work” jobs for blacks, and many of the slots blacks used to fill are now taken by Hispanic immigrants. Our former $125,000-a-year principal will no longer have an incentive to keep the peace.
Keep in mind that no black under the age of 40 remembers the pre-Treaty days, a world without the lucrative spoils system and ego-enhancing PC. For them, all the keep-the-peace benefits bestowed by a white-dominated government are normal, a justly deserved arrangement with no expiration date.
Can anything be done if matters begin reverting to pre-Treaty days? Probably not much beyond more aggressive policing, a risky tactic that might exacerbate violence. The Treaty cannot be amended to provide even more benefits for blacks. Pressuring American firms to hire more unqualified African Americans or upping the penalties for alleged racial discrimination will just push businesses to North Dakota or Asia. It is hard to imagine America becoming even more PC on race. Admitting more unqualified blacks to colleges would just boost the drop-out rate. And forget about more generous welfare at a time when cities and states already have budget shortfalls. If anything, the tide seems to be turning to renegotiate the Treaty to cut benefits for blacks. State bans on racial preferences—never legislated by elected representatives but forced on them by voters—are a good example of how ordinary people are thinking.
In short, the Treaty may be expiring but the spoils system—even if the benefits are a little leaner—is probably forever.

You have talked more about the leaders of the Klan and less about the muscle. You’ve placed the muscle as ‘poor’ whites by which ‘poor’ should be meant not only financially but with respect to potential.
What you’ve missed is the 2fold purpose of the Klan. In giving the poor whites a focus it kept them from asking for better working conditions for themselves as well.
Short of providing the perpetrators something better to focus on than having fun and buying junk there isn’t anything to stop these kind of events from happening short of increased security.
Newt Gingrich had a good idea for the GOP with respect to the cities. Start an aggressive in reach campaign and lead through success. Break the grip of the Democratic party on the poor. Of course that takes a boldness sorely lacking in these days.

About 100 teenagers swarmed from a McDonald’s to Trader Joe’s to a new Target store during a riot in East Liberty on Sunday, police said.
Police said the trouble started at Mellon Park, where Mount Ararat Baptist Church had just wrapped up its community picnic.
The Rev. Linda Oliver said that out of an estimated attendance of over 3,000 people, only a fraction of those people are responsible for starting the trouble.
“We had a few fights that broke out with the young people,” said Oliver.
When reporter Dave Bondy arrived at the scene, police were everywhere. At least a dozen officers were ordering hundreds of teenagers to leave Penn Avenue.
A group of juveniles ran into Target and, according to an employee, they caused a mess in the toy aisle.
“They came in Target, they were throwing chairs, everybody went running,” said witness Shauny Bowe.
“Everybody was just running everywhere,” said Bowe. “They went to McDonald’s, and they told people to get out, cussing and swearing. They were about to taze people. I was scared for my life.”

Mark, Watson is merely illustrating the beloved RRL tactic of completely restating what someone has said (what we call ‘lying’) and then being outraged by it.

Eric Holder: Black Panther case focus demeans ‘my people’
Attorney General Eric Holder finally got fed up Tuesday with claims that the Justice Department went easy in a voting rights case against members of the New Black Panther Party because they are African American.
Members of Holder’s staff stated that he made the comment about how “his” office would not prosecute black-on-white violence, in a meeting. Of course he did not make a public statement to this effect.
His public statement was limited to his refusal to prosecute Black Panthers for voter intimidation which was focused upon white voters.
The man is a racist Leftist, but that does not mean he is stupid.
