From Rasmussen:
…The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey of Likely U.S. Voters finds the generic Republican earning 48% of the vote, while the president picks up support from 40%…
Long way before the election, lots can change, GOP doesn’t have a nominee…yadda, yadda, yadda; but, still, this has got to be like a dagger in the heart of all liberals out there.
Which makes posting it rather fun, don’t you think? I have to ponder this – I’m forbidden to take revenge, but is there an injunction against me laughing at my opponents as they politically crash and burn?
Where can this “generic” republican be found?
in any trash can, proving the present POS is just that.
We must go on a dark and perilous journey to find this “Generic Republican”, the repository of all our hopes and dreams. Someone who has the wit, the skill and the patriotic resolve to beat Obama and restore America.
On the other hand, we might have to settle for one of the people running…because the way its going a pair of sweat socks can beat Obama.
we need to take the fight to them, hit them hard, show what a useless Klown hussein is.
Do not worry about the tizzy of the MSM.
The treason remark is exactly how we need to respond to these cretins.
They sure do not give a damn how, where,or what of they speak, lets give em Hell Harry!!
fight fire with fire. they bring a gun we bring a canon..a call to action so to speak.
Come on Neo, don’t hold back. Tell us how you really feel. 🙂
Just an aside, I think It would behoove anyone to wait until a bit closer to the election date to start laughing. Say like one second after the election is called.
I havent found a pair of sweat socks willing to get involved in politics. If you find some please let me know. I have a small donation waiting for thier campaign.
maybe we could run this guy……
PAPER: Obama’s illegal alien uncle has valid Social Security ID, driver’s license…
Had previous deportation order…
Will he get special treatment?
Holy SHIITE….born in Hawaii also??

If Obama wins in 2012 the GOP what will the GOP offer as an excuse?
Bardolf,
Depends on how its done – if the economy suddenly starts booming and unemployment drops to 7%, we’d put down the booming economy as the reason for it…and we’d be forced to say that there is something to the concept of borrowing and printing your way to wealth (which, of course, means that in practice we’ll never have to deal with this scenario). But if the economy continues bad and Obama remains as inept as he has been, then a GOP loss would have to be plunked down to stupid errors on our part. If we don’t beat Obama in 2012, then there is something seriously malfunctioning on our side.
“If Obama wins in 2012 the GOP what will the GOP offer as an excuse?”
Oh, the usual grab-bag of half-baked talking points. “Liberal media bias,” “voter fraud,” etc. The real question is how many of them will call for a poll tax.
If you are trying to call conservatives racists then come out and call conservatives racists. It seems to be what you do. Call names and insult but never offer anything like a real idea. Did you always want to be nothing more than an annoying yipping attack dog or is this just what you turned out to be when you couldn’t do anything else?
markneric:
the issue is
the current field is sub-generic
gop needs a new late entry to pull it off over a year from now
bagni,
Any of the GOP candidates can beat Obama – even Huntsman, currently the weakest in the field (he’d have a hard time getting around the fact that he accepted an appointment from Obama). The election of next year is not about the GOP, but about Obama…if things continue lousy, then Obama is almost certain to lose, no matter whom the GOP nominates. To me, this means we have to get a bit gutsy…we of the right may never get a better opportunity to put a convinced conservative in to office. In a very real sense, we are replaying 2008…where the GOP had so damaged the GOP/conservative brand that a kook leftist like Obama could slip in…now we have a chance to slip in a rock-ribbed conservative with the added benefit being that our policies will work, thus providing proof for a generation that liberalism cannot be further trusted with government.
Thus, for now, I’m concentrating my hopes on Bachmann, Cain, Santorum and such…Palin, too, if she gets in. I’m shying away from Romney and Perry not because I think they’d be bad Presidents (either would be a vast improvement over Obama) but because I don’t think that either of them fully understands the magnitude of what needs to be done (though Perry is pretty close). I want a revolution in 2012, not just a GOP victory…and I think we can get the revolution, if we show some guts.
I like Palin then Bachmann, but I’m most comfortable with Perry then Romney…. However, if revolution is goal then… Neo for President in 2012!!!
RL
I gratefully decline,( blushing.)
But I would accept the VP position UNDER Palin.
markservative:
we’ll agree to disagree on this one
if the election were held today
cain, frothy santorum, palin, romney, perry and certainly not huntsman
could not beat obama
because all are too emotionally/perceptually ‘scary’ to the center that holds the few % points of victory needed
however to your point that could change…..
yknow
the much bigger issue at hand is ron paul
he’ll never get the nomination
and if he doesn’t stand down after the repub leadership asks him to
he could split it just enough to let the dems win
should be interesting…..
Dagger in my heart?!? Where’s that “new tone”? Just kidding…
Too bad there’s no such thing as a “generic” politician. When you trot out the real horses…
Interesting that (R)asmussen gives Paul a better chance than Perry or Romney at beating Obozo.
Not interesting at all; when this question is asked, each advocate for a particular candidate holds the idea that the “other” candidate is unacceptable. If you were to ask a generic Republican “Obama or Any (R)? They’ll pick “Any (R).
With Ron Paul, if you ask a Ronulan “Obama or Romney”, they instinctively say “Not Romney.” “Obama or Palin” it’s “Not Palin.” A Palin voter is somewhat similar, as is Santorum or Romney voters, but not to the extent of a mind-numbed Ronulan.
The only real test is when all other (R) choices are eliminated and the Ronulans have to vote for someone from our planet, or at least from our species.
Nice explanation from planet talking points. On planet earth the number of so-called Ronulans are not enough to sway things away from Romney or Palin or whoever. If there was an equal chance a GOP supporter was for Perry or Paul you would have a point. You don’t.
Ron Paul will be eliminated by the Counts and Marks of the party who favor NAFTA type agreements and Perry will get his shot. If Perry loses it is because Americans rejected him and not because the few Ron Paul supporters stayed home.
Bardolf: Welcome to our world! Good to see a little bit of the blame fall on someone other than us SoCons. You do need about twenty more years of this stuff, just to catch up.
Dolf,
I’m sorry; I didn’t realize I was talking to a f*cking idiot. Try reading before spouting off with your contrarian bullcrap. each advocate for a particular candidate holds the idea that the “other” candidate is unacceptable.
Not just you and the other loser Ronulans.
I won’t eliminate Paul, he’s self-eliminated by being a fruit-bat-shit-lunatic out of touch with reality and not even consistently Libertarian enough to garner support with anyone possessing an IQ higher than room temperature. Which explains your blind support,
I don’t wast my time with Iranians.
