Investigating Holder

There’s a lot of investigating to be done. House Republicans need to keep up the pressure.

House Republicans are calling for a special counsel to determine whether Attorney General Eric Holder misled Congress during his testimony to the House Judiciary Committee on Operation Fast and Furious, Fox News has learned.

House Judiciary Committee Chairman Lamar Smith, R-Texas, was sending a letter to President Obama on Tuesday arguing that Holder cannot investigate himself, and requesting the president instruct the Department of Justice to appoint a special counsel.

The question is whether Holder knowingly made false statements of fact under oath during a Judiciary Committee hearing on May 3. At the time, Holder indicated he was not familiar with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives program known as Fast and Furious until about April 2011.

Speaking of Holder, check of this video of DOJ whistleblower J. Christian Adams discussing the politicization and radicalization he witnessed at Eric Holder’s Justice Department.

Of course the Obama DOJ can investigate itself. Their leader can also make the earth cool and the water recede. This is “what we have been waiting for.” He can also declare not a war by himself in Libya, “not a war” that will take only days, not months. Also not necessary anymore to produce a budget as required by law. Loans will be provided to supporters. Unions will be paid with taxpayer dollars. The One has come.

George W. Bush took office in January of 2001 with a republican controlled congress. So much seemed possible. Many people thought that this might be a turning point. We thought maybe it was time that the progressive agenda might be started to roll back.

Instead the replicans spent worse than drunken sailors and added some more big government programs. Social issues were a mere afterthought. They just went along with the progressive agenda quietly.

The republicans in thier own quiet way set the stage for what we have today. We are suffering for it. This is what go along to to get along republicans will bring us. They will never get us back to a more constitutional for of government.

Eric Holder is just a mere side show. There never would have been an Eric Holder had we had more responsible leadership from 2001 to 2008. Asking todays republican leadership to investigate him is pointless. They don’t have the courage to stand up for what is right.

you miss the point…it is all about paint on rocks that threatens the Republic. 🙂

As a retired naval officer, I take exception to that characterization. Drunken sailors quit spending when they run out of money.

      • Green Mountain Boy October 5, 2011 / 9:55 am

Spook, thats why I said they spent “worse” than a drunken sailors. A drunken sailor doesnt have the ability to print more money or dip thier hands into somebody else pocket.

Indiana is not all that far away. You want me me to buy you a drink?

Never loan money to drunken Sailor!! Just give it. You are better off that way. 🙂

      like taxes to democrats?

      • Green Mountain Boy October 5, 2011 / 10:31 am

Well yes, but if you give money to the sailor it.s a worthwhile cause. It’s not the drinks that count, it’s what that sailor does when he is not drinking. 🙂

as a minimum…the DOJ is sworn allegiance to the constitution, not the executive branch or to congress…nor the SC…

when they overlook thier duty, in spite of thier oath they swore to when they assumed office…they have committed a petit treason against the united states…these are impeachable grounds…

the integrity of the Atty Genl of the USA…a high post that our representatives appoint to office…is expected to be of the highest moral and intellectual standards in society…not the sniveling, lying 2 bit crap that holder has displayed…this also…is an impeachable offense…lying to congress…is essentially what he did…knowingly…lying…by the Atty Genl of the USA…is an insult to the very integrity of our nation…

coverying up illegal programs like F&F…is criminal…aiding this is a conspiracy to hide the truth from the American People and thier representatives…should land his arse in prison
