Easter Weekend Open Thread

A whole lot going on in the world this weekend as we prepare to celebrate the death and resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. If you don’t believe in the resurrection, please be respectful of those who do.

UPDATE: The Lord has risen.

For you were buried with Christ when you were baptized. And with him you were raised to new life because you trusted the mighty power of God, who raised Christ from the dead.

Hard not to get in the Easter spirit with a beautiful, sunny day on tap in the mountain northwest. A blessed and glorious Easter to all.

It’s a perfect Easter morning here in the Colorado Rockies as well, and with the sunrise a reminder that, as dolf posted, …with him you were raised to new life because you trusted the mighty power of God, who raised Christ from the dead…

    Happy Ishtar (pronounced “Easter”)!

However you celebrate, I sincerely hope the food you eat is healthy, your water is pure and the air you breathe is clean, your roads are safe, your children are educated and your hearts are full of compassion, forgiveness and love.

    The clown.

Those are nice sentiments bozo, because Lord knows if the republicans win in 2012, our air will be dirty, our water unclean, our roads unsafe, and our children uneducated. The democrats are the only ones that care.

On the other hand, they have given us a lot to forgive………..

our air will be dirty, our water unclean, our roads unsafe, and our children uneducated.

Remember, it’s not just that these things will happen—it’s that we WANT them to happen, big old meanies that we are.

Don’t forget that we are going to cut off Grandpa’s medicare and roll granny off a cliff, and most important us evil folfs all want women to walk three paces behind us men and wear garbage bags over thier heads.

See how easy this is. Don’t forget to go catch a few snail darters, they are delicious!

Rats, my favorite seafood place is out of barbequed humpback whale. Double rats.

I believe braising in red wine is preferred, though they can be deep-fried.

I understand they taste like eagle.
