It’s Ryan – continued

Lots of comments on the previous thread so let’s pick it up from here. The liberals certainly have their panties in a twist over Ryan, so it was obviously a great pick.

Have at it folks, and please be civil

UPDATE, by Mark Noonan:  Hello everyone!  I’m back!  Just want to put my two cents in.  When I first heard the news I immediately thought “good pick”, but now that I’ve seen how things have played out over the last 24 hours I have to go with “inspired pick”.  The clear uptick in GOP enthusiasm combined with the meltdown on the left shows that Romney hit the target.

Its going to be a great campaign and we are going to win.  And, liberals, when you’re sitting there crying in y0ur beer as Biden gives a concession speech (Obama not having the guts to do it just as Kerry sent Edwards out to face the electoral music in 2004), just think it over:  you signed on to this nauseating, un-American thing which will forever be known as the “2012 Obama re-election campaign”.  You went down in to the lowest gutter in American history and you came up a complete loser.  Maybe it will finally be time for you to reconsider your views…

DHS Orders 750 Million More Rounds Of Ammo
    Monday, August 13,

The federal government, specifically the Department of Homeland Security, is buying up huge amounts of ammunition and there seems to be no end in sight. Again,

this is nothing new as the DHS has refused to explain their purchase of 450 million hollow points and has ordered “up to” 650-750 million rounds of ammo and also seems to be looking for more weapons as well.

In reviewing the choice of Ryan I conclude that this is vintage Romney; a choice made not for political calculations but with an eye toward governing.

First I can state that Ryan is the perfect choice for someone like me; fiscal analysts are not boring people, we’re just terribly excited by boring things. I spen t a few minutes at Youtube today watching rep. Ryan eviscerate Obama, Debby Blabbermouth Shultz (repeatedly), Chrissy Matthews, that Maddows guy and just about every mentally challenged liberal (but, I repeat myself), with command of facts and figures, a brilliant mind Ryan presents a likeable demeanor, quick wit and a record of accomplishment.

A political choice would be Rubio to garner Hispanic votes, TEA Party and Florida; or T-Paw or Portman for the white-bread-and-mayonnaise inoffensive Midwest polite crowd. Rick Santorum to shore up the loyal opposition; pugnacious Chris Christie, up and comer Jindal, Bachmann or even General Petraeus or Powell would be fine for campaigning, the idea being that each will attract a voting bloc without alienating too many others. But Ryan doesn’t bring much more to the ticket than Romney already as, that being the anyone-but-Obama vote.

This chice strikes me as made by someone who has no doubt he will prevail and wants a strong partner; Romney has a reputation for putting together a quality team and keeping all participants moving in the direction pof success; Ryan is a perfect fit.
