Obamunism: Women, Minorities Hardest Hit

From CNS News:

Government unemployment numbers for December showed that while the general unemployment rate remained flat at 7.8 percent, unemployment for women and African-Americans rose despite an economy that created 155,000 jobs.

Unemployment for women rose to 7.3 percent in December from 7.0 percent while the rate for African-Americans rose sharply to 14.0 percent from 13.2 percent in November…

Still astounds me that Obama managed to win – there is not a single metric you can bring in which shows genuine improvement since January 20th, 2009.

UPDATE:  And the Obama “my praise is a kiss of death” curse continues to work.

It appears the pain that Cluster and I wished on Obama voters is coming sooner rather than later. Too bad, so sad.

Does this mean the armed insurrection by the moochers is coming sooner rather than later? I guess I have to plant my crisis garden. Keep the prognostication coming. LOL

j6, you’ll have to ask the moochers. I don’t have one of those famous Leftie crystal balls, so I can’t predict how the takers are going to react when their free ride goes off the cliff. I doubt seriously that they’ll launch an armed insurrection against the government, particularly an Obama-led government, unless, of course, Obama’s reaction to their pain is the same as his reaction to the Hurricane Sandy victims. Personally, I don’t give a rat’s rear end what they do as long as they experience pain — lots of PAIN!

        j6,

This has nothing to do with my religion. This has to do with punishing people who voted to destroy a country that I love and served for over 2 decades. And that’s no less Christian of me than Obama telling Hispanics to punish their enemies at the voting booth. Sorry sport — what goes around, comes around. Ain’t karma a bitch?

        j6206,

You reap what you sow…Obama’s policies are the exact opposite of what they need to be to improve the economy. By dint of fake money printed up endlessly by the Fed, the appearance of (some) economic health has been maintained, but that which can’t go on forever, won’t. I don’t know how long they’ll keep the balls in the air but it took $6 trillion in debt – and at least $3 trillion in newly printed money – to give us this patina of health which masks an economy teetering on the brink. To keep us here will take not just more fake money and debt, but magnitudes more…and eventually that will come out either is skyrocketing interest rates as absolutely no one wishes to purchase US debt, or skyrocketing inflation as the Fed prints up money to “lend” the US government enough to finance itself.

The only thing which can save us is massive spending cuts – unless we start, very quickly, to have 5-6% annual GDP growth, adjusted for inflation.

Curiously enough, Obama could probably just dodge massive spending cuts, if he’d unleash our potential in oil and natural gas…because that would not only create a massive energy boom, but also follow-on revive mining, steel and a host of other industries (indeed, US steelmaking is already having a bit of a revival on the energy boomlet Obama’s regulations have not yet choked off). But this requires opening up continental and offshore oil reserves, fast-tracking pipe line and refinery construction and doing a lot of other things Obama’s leftist base won’t stand for and, in truth, Obama doesn’t even see the need for.

        Running the government on 8¢
Barring serious efforts to curb the growth in the country’s debt, by 2020 Washington could be spending 92 cents of every tax dollar on Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security and interest alone. That would leave just 8 cents to pay for everything else.

How much of “everything else” can 8 cents buy? Not a lot, especially relative to what Americans are accustomed to their government providing.

        j6206 & James0601,

Obviously, you do not have the need to shop for things like groceries. You also seem to drink the Obama Kool-Aide by the gallon and quite regularly. Why not actually educate yourself instead of drooling crap and ask why certain products have been removed from the “inflation” indicators. It is because the administration wants no indication of inflation so the “story” of how wonderful Obama is can go on a little longer.

The house of cards we have been fed will fall–it is just a matter of time but I will enjoy those who overwhelming voted for this crap reaping the “rewards” of their choice. High unemployment, higher prices by the week, etc. Enjoy your delusions while they last. You do remember Pres. Carter and his wonderful reign of despair–Obama has already passed his misery index with the exception of a couple of indexes.

I just love this report. It’s also been reported that those low to middle income wage earners will be paying more payroll taxes, which will be a higher percentage of taxes comparatively than those millionaires and billionaires will be paying.

    Isn’t this fantastic!

So lets recap where we currently stand – unemployment and taxes up on those who can least afford it thanks to The One They Have All Been Waiting For.

And as neocon accurately stated – “you ain’t seen nothing yet”
Ought to be a fun year.

From RedState: “Before the fiscal cliff nightmare came to a head, families across the globe were celebrating the holidays; thoughts of politics being far from the minds of many. Spending extra time with family is often one of the beloved highlights of the holiday break. Yet for so many families in the United States, this past season was heartbreaking. 46 families in particular were forced to focus on politics when it changed the face of their families, perhaps permanently.

On December 28, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law banning adoption of Russian children by U.S. families starting January 1. Included in the ban were the 46 U.S. families that were in the process of adoption, many of which had already met and formed relationships with their children. Said one couple whose adoption was approved on Christmas Eve:

I have a daughter who I’ve told I love, who I’ve told we would bring home. I’ve showed her pictures of her bedroom. I’m afraid we’re not going to be able to see her again, and she won’t know why we didn’t come for her.

Russia has been the third most popular country for Americans to seek adoption, behind China and Ethiopia. Over 60,000 children have been adopted from Russia by American families over the past two decades. Currently, Russia has 120,000 registered orphans, many of which are disabled, but less than 20,000 Russians have shown interest in adoption. Putin’s reason for the ban are seen widely as a political move in response to a bill President Obama recently signed concerning human rights abusers in Russia. According to a Washington Post article, however, the adoption ban is only the latest example of Putin’s anti-American power grab.

The past seven months have seen the worst deterioration in Russia’s human rights situation since the collapse of the Soviet Union. The Putin regime demonizes the United States, heaps abuse on its officials, derides its democratic values and treats the humanitarian motives of its people as suspect, while backing the murderous Assad regime.

A Russian radio host, whose station is not popular with Putin, compared him to King Herod and noted that the Orthodox Church’s remembrance of Herod’s order to kill children in Bethlehem fell on the same day as the adoption ban.

At least one adoption agency is moving forward with the Russian adoptions they are currently handling. Many American families are also holding hope that the Russian president will reverse his decision to include their children that are already a part of their hearts. While the U.S. State Department and Republican leaders have made statements concerning the Russian adoption ban, President Obama has remained silent on the issue. Perhaps instead of flooding the White House petition website with calls for secession, Americans should be petitioning the president to call out President Putin for his cruel ban that punishes not only American families looking to give aid to Russian children, but the youngest and most needy in his country.”

Makes you wonder if Barry was not flexible enough to make Vladimir happy.
