Thoughts On Boston And Other Gripes

Yesterday’s events in Boston are certainly deplorable, definitely an act of terror, and proof positive that evil does exist. If this does turn out to be the act of a domestic terrorist, either side will be quick to label that person as representative of the whole, and that will be wrong in either case despite the seemingly gleeful anticipation by some in the media that this is someone on the right. Chris Matthews and a whole host of other left wing “journalists” are already speculating that this is some anti government, far right extremist, and have actually mentioned that extremists of this nature are pretty much all on the right, which is not only wrong and shameful, but knowing their character or lack thereof, fully expected. In September 2010, some left wing loon took hostages at the Discover TV channel, over the last couple of years OWS protestors have destroyed a lot of public property, and going back a few years, the Weather Underground became famous for their bombings, just too name a few. In fact one member the Weather Undergound, Bill Ayers, is so revered on the left that he is a prominent professor at Columbia and a noted member amongst the left intelligencia. And this is aside from the Black Panthers, the unions and the Greenpeace demonstrations, which are anything but “peaceful”. So violent whackos are hardly the sole occupants of the right.

In addition, Democrats are already rushing to make this political. Sheila Jackson Lee has blamed the sequester, Axlerod has tied it to Tax Day, and Barney Frank credits increased spending for first responders quick reaction, among other inappropriate musings. Every single one of them needs to be chastised for these repugnant comments. I am sick of tired of nearly everyone in our Federal Government and most of those pundits at the national level. The politicians have increased spending over 30% in the last four years, they have tripled the debt in the last four years, and they continue to display complete incompetence every day, while the sycophantic pundits deflect and make excuses. Or worse yet, are really that stupid to not know the difference. Allocation of tax payer money is the responsibility of our elected representatives, and is prioritized in a budget, something of which has largely been missing over the last several years. Considering that spending has increased by over $1 trillion in the last 4 years, Jackson Lee, for example, wants us to believe that an $85 billion cut back in the rate of growth, is partly responsible for yesterdays bombings. This is the level of intelligence that occupies our federal government, and that is the level of discourse that our national media chooses to give time to. We are in for a world of hurt if we continue to elect and allow people like this to govern our country.

In conclusion, my prayers are with those affected by this atrocious, evil act.

    Weather Underground
    From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Weather Underground Organization (WUO), commonly known as the Weather Underground, was an American radical left organization founded on the Ann Arbor campus of the University of Michigan. Originally called Weatherman, the group became known colloquially as the Weathermen. Weatherman first organized in 1969 as a faction of Students for a Democratic Society (SDS)[2] composed for the most part of the national office leadership of SDS and their supporters. Their goal was to create a clandestine revolutionary party for the overthrow of the US government.[3]

With revolutionary positions characterized by Black liberation rhetoric,[2] the group conducted a campaign of bombings through the mid-1970s, including aiding the jailbreak and escape of Timothy Leary. The “Days of Rage”, their first public demonstration on October 8, 1969, was a riot in Chicago timed to coincide with the trial of the Chicago Seven. In 1970 the group issued a “Declaration of a State of War” against the United States government, under the name “Weather Underground Organization” (WUO).[4]

The Terrorists — Bill and Bernadine
As part of her transition out of power, Alice Palmer introduced her successor, Barack Obama, to a few of the district’s influential liberals at the home of left-wing terrorists, William Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn — long-time friends of the Obamas.

      As noted by David Horowitz:

On the morning of the attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, along with a million other readers of the New York Times including many who would never be able to read the paper again, I opened its pages to be confronted by a color photo showing a middle-aged couple holding hands and affecting a defiant look at the camera. The article was headlined in an irony that could not have been more poignant, “No Regrets For A Love Of Explosives.” The couple pictured were Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn, former leaders of the 1960s’ Weather Underground, America’s first terrorist cult. One of their bombing targets, as it happened, was the Pentagon.

While Ayers and Dohrn, who, in July, 1969, traveled to Cuba and met with representatives of the North Vietnamese and Cuban governments, may be thought of in Hyde Park as local activists, they’re better known nationally as two of the most notorious — and unrepentant — figures from the violent fringe of the 1960s anti-war movement. These two domestic terrorists have written and spoken at length about their pasts — their bombings and robberies — and today he is an advocate for progressive education and a professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago; she’s an associate professor of law at Northwestern University.

William (Bill) Ayers went underground with several comrades after their co-conspirators’ bomb accidentally exploded on March 6, 1970, destroying a Greenwich Village townhouse and killing three members of the Weather Underground (Ted Gold, Terry Robbins, and Diana Oughton, who was Ayers’ girlfriend at the time). He and his colleagues invented identities and traveled continuously. They avoided the police and FBI, while bombing high-profile government buildings including; the United States Capitol, The Pentagon, and the Harry S. Truman Building housing the State Department. Living underground, Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn raised two children, Zayd and Malik, (Muslim names) before turning themselves in in 1981, when most charges were dropped because of what Ayers described as “extreme governmental misconduct” during the long search for the fugitives.

Dohrn served seven months in a NYC federal jail in 1983 for refusing to testify before a grand jury investigating the Brinks robbery of 1981, in which two policemen and a security guard were killed.

Dohrn worked in a baby boutique in 1979 where stolen customer ID’s were used to rent trucks used in the series of robberies culminating in the 1981 slaughter in which 9 kids lost their fathers, the youngest of which was six-months.

Because of the criminal convictions Dohrn, who received a law degree from the University of Chicago in 1967, was refused admission to the New York bar.

Nonetheless, she was hired as a legal clerk by Sidley and Austin, a major Chicago law firm, in their New York office in 1984. Howard Trienens, then managing partner of the firm, recently told the Chicago Tribune that he arranged the hiring of Dohrn as a favor to his fellow Northwestern University trustee and classmate, Tom Ayers. Tom Ayers’ firm, Commonwealth Edison, has used Sidley as outside counsel for many years. She later worked in their Chicago office when she and Bill Ayers moved back to Chicago in 1987. She left Sidley in 1988.

Funny that Cluster’s post decries those that make political mileage out of the Boston tragedy and yet Neocon and Jeremiah can’t help themselves and make it political.

When you consort with terrorists you will get terrorism in return. Fort Hood, Benghazi, and now Boston. Had these happened during Bush’s presidency, more than likely, you would have been out in the street with your hanging effigy and bushitler poster.

You are pathetic, if I may borrow the line.

      • watsonthethird April 16, 2013 / 11:28 pm

But of course events like this did happen during Bush’ presidency, not to mention 9/11 itself. So you don’t have to pretend you know what patriotdad would have done in some hypothetical; he can tell us whether he hung an effigy and poster when those actual events occurred. Somehow, I think not.

” So you don’t have to pretend you know what patriotdad would have done in some hypothetical”

I have been reading pds garbage a longer than you have. Go back in the archives and see yourself.

We got to put up with eight years of garbage from people like pd and his soulmates in hollywood that fantasized about assassinating Bush. Where is the moving about barky getting done in?

Until that happens Watson you can go (expletive deleted) yourself.

      • Amazona April 20, 2013 / 8:23 pm

But of course—terrorists proving that you can kill or maim more people with pressure cookers than with guns HAVE to be proof the attack is the result of “gun culture”.

As for me, I am going to go out and buy a pressure cooker before the hysterical Left insists on background checks at Bed, Bath and Beyond.

Shouting insane accusations at the top of your lungs will not convince anyone with a functioning brain to your way of thinking. Of course, you will always win over the lunatic fringe which, sadly, seems to growing by leaps and bounds in your country. It is clearly evident that you are part of the problem, Jeremiah, and your so-called solutions could be labeled treasonous. Do you have anyone in your life who cares enough to get you some help?

Harry Reid introduces emergency legislation in response to Patriot Day bombing.
      Wednesday, April 17, 2013

Harry Reid today introduced legislation that would put new restrictions on purchase and ownership of pressure cookers.

The legislation would require background checks and a 10 day waiting period for all purchases of these devices, including purchases of used pressure cookers at garage sales and pressure cooker fairs. Anyone whose name appears on the newly created register of the mentally ill would be ineligible to purchase the devices.

The legislation also restricts the capacity of pressure cookers to be offered for sale. “Nobody needs a pressure cooker that is larger than 1.5 gallons,” Sen. Reid said in a statement released…

You should know by now that pointing out muslimeic terrorism is bigoted, Neo.

Hoping it was a white male American however is another story. Hoping it was somebody on the right so that the proggie could demand more loss of freedoms would have been a dream come true for the likes of Thomas and his ilk.

I believe in giving credit where credit is due, even to someone with whom I have deep ideological differences. I can’t judge his motives, but President Obama appears to be doing what Congress should have done on gun legislation.

Blocked by Congress from expanding gun sale background checks, President Barack Obama is turning to actions within his own power to keep people from buying a gun who are prohibited for mental health reasons.

If the thrust of congressional legislation had been focused on keeping guns out of the hands of people who shouldn’t have them, it would have received overwhelming support by both parties, IMO. Virtually everything Obama has done in office has been politically motivated, so we’ll see if this is more of the same or a sincere effort to prevent more Auroras and Sandy Hooks.
