Regarding Asia’s Mini Me.

The linked article below from gives an interesting perspective as to the history of the relationship between Beijing and North Korea-One possibility missing in this article is that of North Korea being a puppet and proxy government under Beijing’s control, via which Beijing can assert plausible deniability for actions it takes via its North Korean sock puppet. In an effort to ‘diffuse’ tensions, John Kerry sojourned to Beijing the other day, and offered, in exchange for China’s willingness to call off its ‘attack dog,’ concessions on U.S. missile defense in Asia.Could it be that Beijing is rattling North Korea’s saber, just to see how the West reacts and/or cowers? We arguably have the least cogent, most feckless foreign policy since the dawn of Jimmy Carter. It would appear plausible that China is exploiting the Obama Administration’s/Washington’s newfound affinity for “global test” pacifism and Chamberlain-esque knee-jerk appeasement, and will try to obtain more and more concessions while the gettin’s good.My guess is that China will continue to play the West via North Korea like a fiddle, as long as the current feckless leadership remains in Washington, and that Beijing will seize every opportunity to effect the West’s strategic weakening and further a lack of resolve.

“We arguably have the least cogent, most feckless foreign policy since the dawn of Jimmy Carter.”

Why do people keep insisting that the barky regime is “feckless” or “incompetent” ? Everything that he has done since Jan 20, 2009 has been to knock this country down as many notches as he can. ON FRAKKING PURPOSE.

Why do people keep insisting that he has this country’s best interests in his heart when all the evidence tells you otherwise.

Get your frakking head out of the sand.

Every administration going back to Bush 41 has attempted to “engage” NK. They’re like the school yard bully that will never change their behavior until they suffer a humiliating defeat that completely destroys their ability to do damage to any of their neighbors. No one has the stomach to inflict such a defeat on them, so we might as well save a lot of money and heartburn by just ignoring them and let them do whatever they’re going to do. Maybe if they nuke Seoul or a Japanese city, the world might finally do what needs to be done.

The only policy for NK is singularly assured destruction in the event of nuclear attack precipitated by N\K or any other nation for that matter. Put the world on notice. Our response will be to retaliate in sufficient force to ensure all your deaths. Until then, ignore them! Don’t seat small stuff! In minutes one sub could vaporize NK completely.

Neo, let me be perfectly clear, I don’t know that there were ever nuclear weapons on any US warship let alone the boomers to be removed. However, I’d ensure I could load and position it PDQ in the event I needed a launch platform second to none, were I running the show.
