I’m sure you’ve all heard by now of the Covington Catholic blow up so I won’t go over the specific details. Suffice it to say that it was clearly a planned operation designed to elicit a specific result: Catholics are bad. Outside of the general hatred of Christianity on the left, I think it is all part of a plan (the attacks on Mrs. Pence being part of this) to so denigrate Christianity that when RBG’s replacement is named, the left will feel safe in attacking the nominee on purely religious grounds. But there is more to it than that.
Carried along by their conviction that they are on “the right side of history”, the left has decided to go full Stalinist. They are identifying certain segments of our society as the enemy solely responsible for all of the ills of society – and they are suggesting ever more violent remedies to remove these malefactors from society. That is Stalinism in a nutshell. Unable to provide the Socialist utopia promised – and not particularly interested in providing it in the first place – Stalin hit upon the clever scheme of finding someone to blame for all problems, and then mercilessly going after them. That is what the American left is now engaged in.
In America, the “wreckers and Kulaks” of Stalin’s Russia are now the straight, white Christians – mostly male, but they’ll lump in any woman who doesn’t pledge allegiance to feminism: they are the source of all ills. They have made every problem, on purpose, because they are simply bad and wish to do evil at every opportunity. And we can’t make a prosperous, safe and just society as long as these straight, white Christians are in power. And, furthermore, all they are doing is upholding White Supremacy…so, getting rid of them by any means, fair of foul, is legitimate.
Those Catholic school kids could have been anybody – it doesn’t really matter. All that matters is that they can be identified as the enemy. In this case, the identity was created by putting out a short clip of a video which was claimed to show certain, bad actions. That the alleged bad actions didn’t happen – and the larger video clearly shows they didn’t happen – was irrelevant. They only needed their small video clip as proof…and what appears to have been a well-coordinated series of social media sock puppet accounts and previously prepared MSM coverage, immediately took over. In an instant, the boys were evil Catholic racists worthy of having their lives destroyed. That it is all proven false, now, is actually quite irrelevant. The footsoldiers of the left believe 100% in the original Narrative (they won’t even look at the evidence showing it false) while a thrill of fear went through all non-left hearts: if they can do this in an instant to a random group of kids, they can do it to anyone.
We’re going to see more and more of this – a blatant, naked attempt to rile up their troops while at the same time frightening us into silence. They will get their troops riled up – but I’m not sure that they are going to get the silence they expected. When it first came up, I pretty much ignored it – figuring it was just another race hoax of the sort we’ve seen so often lately. But as it unfolded, it became clear that it was more than that. And, at first, most right voices remained silent (while the Never Trump immediately took the left’s side in the fight). It was only after the proof came out that right voices started to rise…and as the monstrosity became fully revealed, people got ever more angry.
Get ready for the most intense, hate-filled political period in American history since the Civil War. This is going to get very ugly, very fast. At stake is all the marbles: either they win, and we’re done for, or we win.

That looks to be a distinct possibility, and you can bet the Left’s plan is to make it look as though we started it, which will be very hard to refute given that 90% of the media is in the Left’s pocket.
Being only in the first month with the Democrats back in control of Congress, the amount of anger and hatred for anything that stands in their way is being flamed with gas. It seems that was the undertow of what we experienced during Obama’s years, especially the first 2 of office when they held both houses. The difference then being they could better shadow their contempt for America and Americans as they didn’t have any roadblocks. With the Presidency and the Senate out of their direct control, it seems they are forced to removing any doubt about their intent, even though they still attempt to control the meaning of words in an effort to implement their agenda, lying to everyone while trying to conceal it.
During the Obama years many people, including myself and some on this blog, felt we were at the edge of the cliff where we were being pushed into another civil war, one that would be won or lost in battle, not words. Unfortunately, it appears to me this is actually the goal of the left, a desired effect. For it is only with much raw emotion being kicked up, mixed with half truths & lies where they can achieve their ultimate aspiration – control of the many by the few.
I think they largely underestimate the ramifications of such a confrontation both to them as individuals and anyone who attempts to carry out their agenda, mostly believing they will be protected by our law enforcement and military. When the left flaunts their disgust for LEO’s and the military, as well as GOD, I find it laughable for them to hold such delusions, especially as they also attempt to sissify their male base. I wonder how we’ll deal with the putrid mess we face for the next few years without such bloodshed? Will the Democrats continue to hold congress after this term? Will they strengthen or weaken their position in 2020? Will their antics betray them spoiling their win or will enough people follow them into their hellish nightmare?
If I witnessed a person hitting a fellow protestor over the head with a bike lock, a part of me believes I would have sent this guy to the hospital. Circumstance and timing would ultimately dictate responses, but when it was later found out that the perpetrator was a professor who was reportedly NOT criminally prosecutes, you can bet scores are being kept. What do they think will happen next time? I read with glee where a female MMA fighter pummeled a male who tried to accost her, not knowing or being even vaguely prepared for what he was getting into. Seems this is exactly what the left is setting themselves up for. Time will tell just how far they’ll push and where we stand politically over the next several years.

We constantly reference the rage on the Left, but there’s also a quiet rage building on the Right that is flying under almost everyone’s radar. One of my favorite T-shirts says, “Never push a man to violence who has been waiting for an excuse to use it.” I had a guy that I didn’t know, but who came across as somewhat of a Lib, walk up to me at the Y recently and ask what it meant. I told him if he didn’t understand it, I wasn’t sure I could explain it in terms that he would understand. He persisted, and I finally said, as long as you don’t provoke me, you have nothing to worry about. He walked away with this blank look on his face like he had just been presented with a dilemma that was going to bother him all day. I think the vast majority of Leftists sincerely believe that they occupy the moral high ground and would prevail in any conflict simply because they do. They can’t comprehend that they might be on the wrong side of history — AGAIN!
I’m far more optimistic. I don’t believe we’re going to see a civil war. I think we’re seeing both the death spiral of the Democratic party and the final gasps of the fake conservatives (never-Trumpers). Getting rid of them will be the best thing that happened to the Republican party since Reagan.
It was clear from the first (highly selective) images of the old drummer getting into the kid’s face that something was wrong and it wasn’t the kid’s reaction. It was creepy, the old guy was obviously trying to provoke the kid, and to his credit he didn’t fall for it. The only reason it got a tiny amount of momentum was the complete lie that the school kids “surrounded” him.
But that quickly turned out to be false. More importantly, thanks to Trump, the media has been completely discredited and the new Right very quickly was able to mobilize to expose the truth.
The Democrats have already made it clear they are not friends of the working class. Now they have make it clear they are opposed to Christianity. They’re going to lose black Christians and Latino Catholics in mass now. And their only remaining weapon, control of the media, has been shattered.
Nancy Pelosi simply cares about staying in power until she dies. The Democrats represent a shrinking base that is hell bent on making sure they never reach out to the other side. They’re doomed. Very conventional political reality says that people rush to the middle. The Democrats tried to paint Trump as an extremist. It didn’t work and now it’s clear they are the extremists.
Trump is unquestionably going to be reelected. Whether the Democrats hold on to the house doesn’t really matter much, they are a good foil for him to battle against. Odds are Republicans will expand their Senate majority which means Republicans will increasingly control the courts. And Pence is going to do very well running after Trump, in part because of this suicidal attack on Christians.
It will certainly be interesting on how the left’s Christian base responds to the anti-Christian voices openly being pushed. Hopefully the ramifications of this outward negative projection of Christians shows at the voting polls how damaging this approach is. At the moment I’m not seeing it.
I believed during Obama’s reelection, enough of the population would see just how destructive his policies were to the majority of Americans and our interest, that he would be voted out. Instead he was reelected with a sound majority. I was also hopeful with how much good Trump was able to accomplish in his first 2 years, especially with things that directly impacted the majority of Americans, that we’d hold and/or actually increase both houses of Congress. Was this simply wishful thinking? Seems the hatred for Trump is greater than the value he brings to many people’s lives. The people I talk to about politics mainly fall in 2 groups. Those who were already conservative minded mostly have strong favorable opinions of Trump. Those who are left of center not only have disdain for Trump, but accept much of what the media spills in front of them regardless of the facts. I have a brother who is adamant that Trump will still be prosecuted for collusion with Russia. Another relative provides rather ridiculous reasons for her dislike for Trump. Most of what they bleat about has little or nothing to do about policy and achievements. And most of these anti-Trump people I talk to consider themselves good Christian people.
As you pointed out, the lies are often exposed when the facts are shown but the lie is what most people hear first and in strong emotional terms. The truth however seems to receives only scant attention and well after the damaging lie has already been spotlighted. This type of “news” is so perverse, that the lies often continue repeatedly even after the truth has proved otherwise.
It has been known for quite some time that there is significant rigging of the votes. Many years back it was perceived that this sort of thing only happened in foreign countries with a government too weak to prevent it or a dishonest government too much in control to relinquish power. If this outward theft of the will of the people cannot be contained then the election of any good politician will be stripped. When this happens in areas seen as having a small impact on the bigger picture, not much seems to be done to prevent it from happening again. What this does however is give hope that those who stole the election to do it again and in greater numbers. How will that be dealt with if our government cannot prevent it and/or actually encourages it?
The lives of many politicians appear rife with illegal and/or shady activity. When such activity is ignored, a good many people lose respect for the justice system. Even worse is when the justice system itself is complicit in such activity like when we’re seeing where there was illegal attempts used to prevent Trump from winning the election. Just as bad is when political enemies use the justice system to damage, condemn and prosecute innocent people or people involved in minor offenses, where those being pursued have little recourse to defend themselves.
When judges use their position for personal political score, regardless of how their ruling files in the face of the constitution as it’s written, then good people will suffer. There appears little to prevent these judges ability to continue in their efforts. How many times have we seen a single federal judge stop of override an action where they shouldn’t be able to? Their position(s) may at some point be overturned by a higher court but that is a time consuming process and one not always corrected.
Fake news filled with blatant lies, people easily duped especially near election time retaining power for the corrupt, stolen elections, criminal politicians being able to hold their position and increase their grip, a corrupt justice system, continued outward violence and hostility against Christians and families, the moral fabric of society being torn… these are only some of the many things that push a nation still filled with many good, moral and courageous people from a defensive to an offensive position. What form of action that takes is yet to be seen. Are people in general too complacent to do anything more than to occasionally voice their opinion? Do people feel mostly helpless to do anything about it and accept what may come?
There are still many good people working hard to prevent destructive forces from winning. (Sounds like the Starwars evil empire) It remains to be seen if the ugly face of evil will be turned away at the polls or at the hand of patriotic people taking a more direct approach.
Have you ever stopped to think that if we had an educational systems that taught people HOW to think instead of WHAT to think, and a media that was objective and unbiased, Progressivism would be nothing more than a footnote in the dustbin of history?

And, man, did the whole story turn out to be BS…described as a Native American Vietnam veteran…turns out he’s too young to have served in Vietnam and all he’s ever done in his life is political activism. So, it was all a set up.

The Democrat media have upped their outrage since they took the House and appear to be on a mission to divide and tear apart this country in the name of power be damned with any consequences. I have never seen anything quite like it. As I watch this morning, there is not a shred of shame or contrition on anyone’s part in the media over the BuzzFeed and Covington fake news. In fact NBC’s Chuck Todd went as far to blame other people for encouraging the media to rush to judgement on those stories.
On another note, I think Kamala Harris has the perfect skin color to be President. What do you think Casper? And Mika Brezinski is super super excited about the all the women running for President. Girl Power!! It’s super super neat.

I have read two online solicitations for violence against the boy who was nervously smiling as yet another adult attacked him in public. One was an offer for oral sex in exchange for attacking him. This is what we have come to expect from the Left, and we need to get used to the fact that the American Left has become convinced that it has gained enough traction in this nation to not only get away with overt, public, vile and violent behavior but will gain power through it. So they will continue to escalate their violence, their efforts at intimidation, and their lies.
Personally, I am glad to see it happen. I was much more concerned about quiet Leftism that could be explained away, by the kind of semi-civilized pseudo-concerned posturing that attracted so many decent but gullible and lazy people. This kind of in-your-face violence and threats and solicitations of violence even against children, all based on efforts to impose and then enforce Thought Purity, will prove to be an ever-widening chasm between the vile hard-core Left and the well-meaning moderates who have voted Dem with good but frightfully poorly thought-out intentions.
A lot of Dems are religious, and not happy with attacking people because they are people of faith. A lot of Dems have never heard the term “pull train” but when it is explained to them will be horrified to hear that a snotty little vulgar potty-mouth upstart Representative talked about gang-raping Republican members of Congress. They will also not be impressed by her giggling and going along with Colbert’s use of the F-bomb. Having a Muslim member of Congress is one thing—-having a Muslim member of Congress calling for the destruction of a culture, religion and nation because of her bigotry will prove to be another. When the Flavor Of the Month smirks that she doesn’t think it is important to be right about facts as long as she feels “morally right” more than a few Dems are going to think “You know, I like the idea of being right about facts.”
I predict that this group of freshman Dems will be one-termers and will also lead to a crushing Dem defeat in 2020. So, being a believer in another of the Rule of Holes, which is when you opponent is digging himself into a hole just hand him a shovel, I am quite happy to sit back and watch the hubris of these smirky, smug, narcissistic know-nothing bigots as they strut their stuff and turn people off every time they open their mouths.

A particular Jesuit I see often on Twitter is, as is all too common with Jesuits, always taking the liberal side. But, still, I was shocked how far this priest went against the boys when the story first broke. For crying out loud, we Christians are supposed to even show consideration for the very worst criminals…but here are some boys who, if guilty of the worst thing they could have done in this case (ie, being rude), being condemned out of hand and totally and without any real evidence by a Catholic priest!
When the story was debunked the priest tried to hide behind “well, now that I’ve seen more evidence, it isn’t totally clear what happened”. I’m all, “hey, Father, you were quick to consign the boys to hell, can’t you at least offer them a bit of purgatory now that more evidence has come out?”. It just shocked and angered me no end, this whole episode…and how utterly craven some were, while others who damned well know better actually jumped in against the boys.
This is a watershed event, I think – like the caning of abolitionist Senator Charles Sumner by a pro-slavery Democrat in 1856. Like that, the attack wasn’t what really got people riled up, it was the way it was clearly approved by everyone except the Deplorables (back then, the abolitionists; today, the MAGA people). We’re just not considered fully human by our opponents.

I’m pretty fed up with the Jesuits in general. I get a Jezzie newsletter and it is increasingly Leftist, to the point of ridiculousness. Between the Leftist Jesuits and the Pope doing things like sanctioning Pelosi by not just giving her a private audience but posing for photos with her afterward, in spite of her blatantly anti-Catholic stance on abortion, my only interest in the Church these days is in the local parishes, which seem to be just trying to ignore the antics of the “leaders”.
“Craven” is the right word for so much of what we are seeing. It also applies to the Church going along with the fantasy that the sexual abuse was not for the most part homosexual in nature, parroting the lie that it was “pedophilia” (though most victims were post-pubescent) and implying that girls were as abused as boys.
The Catholic school the boys attend was also quick to pull the trigger on them. I miss the muscular, fight for the faith, attitude of the Church and find the spineless pandering to the worst of the Left shameful. I enjoy the careful phrasing of the prayers at Mass, how the priest (I assume he assembles them) navigates the shoals of Political Correctness and Leftist scolding, offering prayers (for example) that our politicians find it in themselves to lead with honor and integrity. Archbishop Chaput was a great guy, and I miss him, but I think our current archbishop is OK, though he doesn’t say much.
As with most Catholics, I like my parish priests – especially the Indian (from India Indian) priest; priests from non-Western nations seem to have more guts than Western priests. We have a new Bishop and we’ll see how that goes – the last was pretty much a cipher: never really heard much from him. But, yeah, some priests are trying to avoid confronting the world, and that does irritate. I guess I’m irritated both ways, because the strict traditionalists also annoy me a bit (personally, I don’t find much to impress in the Latin Mass…only thing I’d bring back is the Communion rail).
And it is sad that the Church first let in the people who would abuse; then hid the abuse; and now tries to couch the abuse as one thing when it is quite another…and I feel for my parish priest who is essentially lumped in with the abusers because the Church isn’t making the clear distinction of the sort of priest who was abusive…they do try to make out it was “children” who were abused when it was, more accurately, post-pubescent boys. We’re even afraid to call the crime what it is!

Judicial Watch uncovered that Pelosi’s military travel cost the United States Air Force $2,100,744.59 over one two-year period — $101,429.14 of which was for in-flight expenses, including food and alcohol.
One other thought I had . Pelosi said shw was going to visit the troops in Afghanistan when Trump pulled the plug. Two things – first of all, Pelosi has NEVER visited the troops anywhere so curious as to why now … secondly, what soldier would ever want to see a highly botoxed 80 year old woman?
Pelosi took entitlement to a who new level with that move. She did everything she could to elevate her importance as 3rd in line to the Presidency instead of serving the people of the US. Should we be concerned now? No idea why this was allowed to go on for as long as it did.
I had to laugh at the outrage (OUTRAGE !!! I tell you! at the cost of Trump’s time spent playing golf, when not a whisper was murmured about Michelle using government transport to haul her family and entourage on lavish European vacations. Or the very expensive “date night” in NYC, on the taxpayer dime. Or her insisting on a separate flight so she could go somewhere a day early. Or the $100,000 a year of taxpayer money spent on the dog’s “trainer”. (Nice work if you can get it.) So they’re not going to be upset about a million-plus a year to haul Nan and her posse around and keep them well fed and oiled, so to speak.
If Democrats honestly think that someone is going to work hard to pay 70 cents of every dollar to the government, they simply doesn’t understand human nature.

Now that Trump has made it clear he has the keys to the planes, he should make it clear he has the keys to the Capitol Building as well—–all of it—–and he’s the one who will decide where he is going to give his speech.
