I had tried to think of something to say about 9/11, 19 years on, but I only got a little bit about it…and then something hit me and I’ve pondered it a bit: Our response to 9/11 was a Deep State dodge.
Think about it: back on that day, we were all on fire to go get whomever it was and make them pay. And while bin Laden was the prime mover of the event, we also all knew that the real source of the trouble resided in Tehran. Absent Iran’s support for terrorist groups, none of the terrorist groups would amount to much. To really do anything in the aftermath of 9/11 meant a reckoning with Iran.
When we went into Afghanistan, I felt it was a misuse of time and resources but I understood it; bin Laden was there and we wanted him, specifically, dead. When we started to gear up for Iraq, I saw it was our means of inserting a large, US military force into the strategic center of gravity of the Middle East as part of a program of getting after Iran in the by and by. I thought we’d be in Baghdad by summer of 2001 and then start putting maximum pressure on Iran, including military force if needed, to topple the regime and thus get us to the conclusion of the problem: the ending of State-sponsorship of terrorism (which is done by others, but none on the scale of Iran). When we fidgeted around on the WMD issue and the UN, I put it down to a foolish but understandable desire to get the world community on board, and especially the Brits.
But then we stopped. And started to nation-build. And allowed our soldiers to be clay pigeons in Iraq…clay pigeons being shot at by Iran’s proxies. And, yet, still, I kept on: sure there was something going on which would eventually get us to confront Iran. But, it never happened. In the end, we were reduced to just trying to prevent catastrophe in Iraq before Obama took over. Which was accomplished – only to see Obama throw it all away as he felt that the path to peace was in currying favor with Iran.
But now I step back and watch the past 19 years and I see it better: for both Bush and Obama (and, really, Clinton and Bush before them…and, indeed, all the way back to Ike’s idiotic decision to smack down the Anglo-French and Israelis over Suez) the whole point of American policy has been to not do anything but only to appear to do something. From 1956 until 2016 – 60 long years – the whole effort has been a con. An effort to make it seem like something is happening when nothing is happening (except all the dead: they dead really got dead). This is especially true of the period 2001 to 2017…Bush II to Obama when we had the moral right to do what was necessary…and then we didn’t do it.
The clarifying comes about via Trump, who’s earliest actions in the area were to blow hell out of ISIS without inserting ground forces; move the Embassy to Jerusalem and denounce the Iran deal. All things which all the Experts said would be disastrous. All things which they said indicated that Trump had no idea how things work. Well…now we’ve got peace deals between Israel and UAE and Bahrain; rumors that other Arab States will follow suit; Iran isolated; Russia and Iran presiding over the junkheap of Syria; the Palestinians no longer a factor; ISIS destroyed; Muslim terrorism no longer really a thing…and our boys and girls are coming home and we’re not drone-sriking all over the place. It took less than four years to accomplish all this. Sixty years to accomplish nothing (except, once again, all the dead people).
That Trump has managed to move the ball this far forward towards peace and an end to the scourge of terrorism shows that it could have been done at any time. All anyone had to do was want to do it. I now view our actions post-9/11 (until Trump) as being the actions of our Expert class designed to make it appear we were doing something while actually doing nothing. As for why they wanted to keep up the enmity between Israel and the Arab States and keep Iran afloat…I don’t know. I suspect bribery. I also don’t care why they did it: I only know that Trump has shown we don’t have to do it their way.
The monument to those who died on 9/11 and those who have died in all the fighting since must be an Israeli family vacationing on a beach in Bahrain while a Bahraini family has dinner in Tel Aviv. That is the glory; that is the lion’s share. That is where Trump is bringing us. We are still some time away from that happy moment and those who want the old ways to persist will do some very nasty things to get their way…but Trump has shown that we can have peace. That we don’t have to forever live in a world where we’re periodically shown pictures of middle easterners blown to hell.
We have a real chance – for ourselves and for the world. All we need do is make the right decision on November 3rd.

According to NBC News, in anticipation of an across-the-board electoral victory in November, Democratic operatives are already casting their gaze forward to an aggressive strategy to implement a “progressive” agenda — including abolishing the legislative filibuster in the United States Senate. By way of background, Senate Democrats killed the filibuster on presidential nominations last time they were in power, frustrated by the GOP using the same obstructionist tactics they themselves had pioneered during the Bush administration. Ignoring warnings that his party would live to regret the decision, Harry Reid pushed the button anyway and paved the way for President Trump and Mitch McConnell’s history-making judicial confirmation streak.
Sadly, I have little confidence in the GOP running good campaigns for the House and the Senate. Here in Colorado Cory Gardner is running exactly the same campaign every single candidate, on either side, has always run: “This is why I’m good, this is why the other guy is bad”.
But what about the SYSTEM? What about the consequences of letting the same party responsible for Portland, Chicago, New York, Seattle run the entire country? What about the theme of “This is what you get when you elect Democrats”? What about the theme of the antics of the Democrat House of Representatives and the fallout if they hold the house and take the Senate?
No, it’s just SSDD, and the same thing is probably true across the country.

We’ve had the entire Russia hoax, the massive waste of time and money and political energy on the sham impeachment hysteria, what should be the scandal of the Democrats weaponizing federal agencies to spy on political opponents, what should be the scandal of top FBI and administration officials lying under oath, and then the Dem-supported riots that have cost lives as well as billions of dollars.
And what are most, if not all, of the GOP candidates doing? Identity Politics.

Think about this: If the Dems manage to jack up the election results so much that no one has a majority in the Electoral College the next president will be chosen by the House of Representatives, with each state getting one vote. That is, the newly elected House of Representatives.
Today, Republicans control the House votes in 26 of 50 states, a very narrow margin, But look at the consequences if we lose races in some states.
Here are the states where the balance is one or two seats—that is, losing one or two seats would shift that state to Democrat, and possibly determine the next president, and the number of seats that would have to be lost to shift that state into the Dem column.

But my point is, the House race, given the antics of the Dems regarding how they can steal the election, is a lot more important than just getting a majority overall. It is also about keeping a majority of states on the R side.
But the Dems have to run the risk of losing some Electoral College votes by delaying certification of some states, particularly the big ones they need to tip the scales. If they drag out the tallies in those states and lose their Electoral College votes, they might not have to worry about the House. Their calculation will have to be to deadlock the EC if not win it outright, so it can go to the House—IF they win enough House seats.
Lots more moving parts than just the raw vote count.
Trump is bringing peace to the middle east …. if this were any other President it would be big news.
Trump has done more for peace in the Middle East than the previous 11 presidents going back to Eisenhower — combined. And, as Rush is noting as I type this, he’s doing it because he’s thinking outside the box and not including the Palestinians in the process.

Earlier I pointed out that when you vote for Trump you vote to have Trump as president, but when you vote for Biden you don’t know who you are voting for to act as president.
Well, now we know.
Biden admits if America voted him in, it would be a “Harris-Biden administration.”
And then, Kamala Harris said on Monday that it was going to be a “Harris administration, along with Joe Biden”
So the Dems are hoping that Americans will vote for Kamala Harris for president, in spite of thoroughly rejecting her as a candidate a few short weeks ago.
It’s interesting that they are admitting this now—-I wonder if this is to justify having Harris do the debates instead of Joe.
I also think he might be falling apart earlier and faster than they expected.

It is understandable that the cops on site at the hospital were focused on their fellow officers, but it would have been nice if they had just arrested everyone blocking their way, on charges of being accomplices to attempted first degree murder, as they obviously knew in advance what was going to happen.
It wouldn’t stick but it might have gotten some info on who planned it and who did it.
We need to start getting very tough on these people.
Oh you’re singing to the choir on that one.The fact that BLM knew in advance means this was a targeted assassination and that’s a game changer. Not only should the officers be arresting these criminals but they should also be shooting to kill when confronted. BLM has declared war and Democrats and the media have blood on their hands. Nancy Pelosi refers to police as “storm troopers” and the complicit media is constantly disparaging police, so where is their accountability?
If there is video of the mob at the hospital and people can be identified I think they should be arrested and charged with two counts of conspiracy to commit first degree murder, and with any additional charges that could be brought. Then sit back and watch them turn in their buddies and explain what they knew and when they knew it and who was in charge.
Of course, this is L.A. so nothing can really be done.
As I sit hear and listen to ruling class members disparage Trump on MSNBC, I am reminded that Trump has accomplished more in 4 years than any of them have ever accomplished in their entire career. Trump has completely changed the landscape in the Middle East by departing from the ineffective approach promoted by our ruling class and Generals over the last 30 years and that fact has them pissed off.
Trump has made us all realize how incompetent the people who run DC really are.

The Breonna Taylor tragedy was just that—a tragedy. Not a murder, but a confluence of mistakes stemming from the combination of bad intel and a law (no-knock warrants) that had a built-in element of possible disaster.
If police were to break into my house without warning or identifying themselves (and in the chaos even an identification would likely be lost on the noise, fear and confusion) I would shoot, too, believing myself to be in danger of my life from some unknown intruder. And I would die for it.
If the Louisville settlement is based on an acknowledgment of bad management of the events leading to the invasion of the wrong home, then I think it is appropriate. They should take responsibility for making sure they are looking for the right people in the right places and it is apparent they didn’t do this very well.
After that, I don’t think anyone else is at fault. Breonna and her boyfriend were perfectly justified in firing at unknown armed intruders, and the police were perfectly justified in firing back. It all came back to the city policies and how well they were implemented, and they were irresponsible and should pay.

Every now and then you read an article that crystallizes your thoughts … and this article crystallized mine. In my opinion, this is exactly what is wrong with this country. We have become far too feminized:
Even if the Me Too movement hadn’t gone off the rails and if the APA hadn’t pathologized traditional masculinity, young men of color were already drifting toward the right anyway, if at a less accelerated rate. For years now, the Democratic Party has rejected any masculine sensibility in favor of a gung-ho girl power aesthetic that caters strictly to the highly feminized, whether male or female. The Democratic National Convention was the apotheosis of this progressive feminization, a four-day event that resembled a weepy all-girl sleepover more than a political function. I was half-expecting Joe Biden to give his convention speech wearing a dress, but mercifully the old coot was allowed to wear a traditionally masculine and toxic suit.
All this to say that the Democratic Party is now the party of women and those who identify with the overly feminine sensibility. There’s nothing wrong with this being your cup of tea, of course, but Democrats shouldn’t be surprised when young men of all stripes are turned off by a party that is completely devoid of any masculine energy.
The hand wringing and feminized emotional fears of societal issues hold us down. Humanity only progresses when the strong lead.

I’m a woman, and given my age I have grown up and lived in a highly sexist culture in which I have often experienced everything from toxic overt sexism to the mild daily unthinking mansplaining I have described.
And you know what? I celebrate masculinity. I love the difference between the two sexes, the characteristics that accompany them. (I don’t say “define” because too many people have come up with stupid definitions. I was once graded as “masculine” on a test because I put a high value on competence.)
Keep in mind that in agriculture, especially in the West, role models are not the same as they are in other parts of the country, or the world. In the world where I grew up, women routinely drove trucks and tractors, held animals down while they were being doctored and in general did work many think of as “man’s work”—but were also the most womanly women imaginable. In this kind of world, masculinity and femininity were not defined by the work that was done but by the hearts and minds of the people, and men WERE men and women WERE women.
The trend of emasculating boys who act like boys is not only distressing, it is abusive. Boys ARE different. Many Liberal parents who thought that these differences were due to environment have learned that even in the most squishy non-violent households boys would spontaneously, on their own, engage in battles and make guns out of Play-Dough. Sadly, I’ll bet few of these fretful parents accepted this but instead just worked harder to punish these tendencies. And they ended up with frustrated, confused, Pajama Boy incels or thugs whose suppressed masculinity has metastasized into blind rage.
It’s a good thing. In any generation, I can look at different men and know who is manly and who is not—-Donald Trump or Chuck Schumer, Jim Jordan or Adam Schiff, and so on.
And in a nation on the brink of a civil war, I am happy to know what kind of “warriors” will be on the other side.

Five years ago that would have been considered hyperbole; now, not so much. I don’t think the average person has the slightest idea just how close we are to a civil war.
But it’s not just men who have been twisted and manipulated by the Left. Look at the “women” of the Left—females who are simply not comfortable as women. Many act as if they think they have to fill the gaps left by the girly-men, and so we see the shrieking foul-mouthed violent harridans in the “protests” and the riots.
I think the erosion of the basic concepts of womanhood started with the promotion of abortion. When abortion moved from being a shameful secret some women felt had been forced upon them by circumstance to a celebrated rite of “liberation”, women essentially abandoned their most important role in nature—that of the protectors and nurturers of our children. It’s almost as if a surgical procedure had been performed on these women, slicing out the element that has defined womanhood for eons.
And what we have left is, like the unmanned men, human beings who are unmoored, with no core identity and no essential sense of who and what they are. So we have females acting like feral men, males acting like Pajama Boys or furious animals and both males and females so confused they literally don’t know if they are males or females and who in their confusion try to reject the biological identities with which they were born.
The rage, the confusion, the hatred of those who are not confused, all form a core element of the Left in its dedication to destabilizing our society and creating a mob of easily manipulated meat puppets.
Thanks for the compliment, Spook. I grew up with role model women who could get off a tractor, take a shower, primp a little and walk out the door looking gorgeous. (Think Maureen O’Hara in several of her movies.)
They gave me the great gift of knowing my womanhood is not dependent on what I do or what I wear but on who I am.
One of my brothers who became a priest commented a long time ago before abortion became commonly accepted by many; “When women can willingly discard their children in abortion as she would trash or a mere inconvenience, the world will spiral downward like never before. The balance between men and women will become so distorted that destruction of families and societies will certainly follow.”
JDGE1, that is a brilliant synopsis of what we have seen happen in this country.
I know I sound like a broken record, but I see this as part of the overall long-term Leftist strategy to undermine the core of this nation, to weaken it till it can no longer support the principles upon which it was founded and becomes weak and porous and vulnerable to a total Leftist takeover.
You can look at literally every single cultural and societal development over the past four or five decades and see this at work. I think it really started to get a toehold on American society in the 60s, when spoiled teenagers were spoon-fed Leftist rhetoric and their parents and government didn’t recognize what was happening or know what to do about it. These brainwashed children grew up to become parents whose children were even more unmoored from traditional values and concepts and even more susceptible to the lies of the Left. Now their children and grandchildren are the army of the Left.
Fortunately for us, though they now control the media for the time being that is open to change, and though they form an army in numbers the percentage of them who could function as true warriors is very small. For now their only weapon is the vote, and that is being weaponized as we speak into a massive voter fraud effort to take over the country nonviolently.
If they fail—and remember, this is a nation which has been under the protection of God and with that protection has avoided many seemingly insurmountable odds to survive and prosper—we will face even more violence, but under a president with three years till a new election cycle and three years to clean house. Sadly for them, many of these foolish self-styled warriors will pay great prices for their stupidity and viciousness.
I am OK with that.

But that means having a clear and functional concept of what “strong” means. When you are ritually deprived of the basic elements of identity and reduced to mere animal energy, the concept of “strong” is distorted.

(The “man” who pointed a gun at a 17-year-old boy lying in the street after being attacked by a feral mob sure showed how manly he is when he whined, in a post after the boy defended himself, that he is now in “constant pain” and missing most of his bicep. Awwww. Poor baby.)

This country was built by strong people, both men and women but men who were men and women who were women, and it has been defended by them and will be saved by them.

1. Impugn the integrity of the police department,
2. Actively work to defund them,
3. Actively work to hold them up to impossible standards by removing all of their tools,
4. Tell them to stand down when criminal activity is taking place in front of them,
5. Actively seek to vilify them and charge them with crimes for doing what they were taught to do,
6. Send criminals back on the street thru revolving doors without prosecution,
7. Release violent criminals from jail due to a disease that has been distorted and lied about to extremes,
8. Put their lives at far greater risk with no-win situations,
and then expect to get police to respond to problems due to the city’s incompetence. Anyone else not surprised? Guess we’ll see how the voters respond in the next election.
I am seldom in the car—ie: listening to the radio—in the morning but I was driving this morning and was riveted by the Glenn Beck show. He had a lot of specific detail to fill out my basic outline of “the Left has to create chaos to gain traction” including a 7 point list from the Obama administration.
He also had some alarming information about the role of John Kerry in fomenting a revolution in Russia, talking about “color revolutions” and the shady character of Obama’s Ambassador to Russia, Michael McFaul, who was later banned from Russia. (He “…told the Associated Press he learned of the ban when applying for a visa to Russia to help Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton prepare for what he thought would be her transition to the White House. Isn’t that the kind of thing Flynn got persecuted for doing?)
I strongly suggest checking out the podcast of today’s show and maybe looking for some of the video or clips from the TV show on You Tube. Either this is a conspiracy theory more outlandish than Trump being a Russian agent or it is so scary we need to get a grip on it. Like most of Beck’s stuff,. it is very dense with details, so I won’t even try to quote or paraphrase it here.
