Three Weeks Left!

If you need a poll to make you feel good, Zogby has it Biden +3 over Trump…which works out, at least, to an easy EC win for Trump. Zogby was pretty good in 2016: but I don’t trust any polls this year. Even if they are being honest, I really do think they are just missing some huge shifts in the electorate.

Keep in mind that Hillary only got about 340,000 fewer votes than Obama did in 2012 but this worked out to dropping the Democrat total from 51.1% to 48.2%. Trump got 2 million more votes than Romney, and that was all the difference because of who and where they were: white, working class voters in the Midwest. And sure they frauded up Hillary’s total, but they also frauded up Obama’s…so, it probably all worked out in the wash. The bottom line isn’t that Hillary did so bad, but that Trump did so good. The joker in the deck for 2020 is can Trump add black and Latino working class votes to his white working class total? There are some indications he is: but it doesn’t show up in the polls. If Trump can push his African-American vote north of 10% and get near or over 40% of the Latino vote, this could end up being quite a different election than anyone expects.

Another unknowable is that in 2012, about 2.2 million third party ballots were cast but it rocketed up to 7.7 million in 2016. Those 5.5 million votes: where do they go? If its about 50/50, then it doesn’t matter. But if its 60/40 for one over the other, it could be decisive. They didn’t vote Trump in 2016 because they just couldn’t go there – but they also rejected Establishment Hillary. Do they now go, “I guess the Establishment is great” or “well, Trump turned out to not be nearly as bad as I thought he’d be”? If I had to bet, I ‘d bet the latter. Especially as I’ll bet of the 5.5 million extra votes, a huge majority were traditional GOP votes – some are now gone forever because of the evolution of Never Trump to I’m a Democrat has been completed. But how many? There is no way to know – and, once again, this probably won’t show in polling.

Voter registration trends have been remarkable, and almost all in the GOP’s favor. We’ve probably lost Colorado and Virginia for a generation or more, but trends indicate we may be on the way to locking down Florida, North Carolina and Ohio while making deep inroads in Pennsylvania and holding our own in Arizona (for a while there, AZ voter trends were against the GOP…but the past 18 months or so have seen a resurgence of the GOP so we’re now back to par for 2016). As for early voting and VBM: I’ve seen this and that. Most of what I’ve seen indicates some good news for the GOP…but I place small weight on it: just because a ballot was returned by a person of a particular party, doesn’t mean it’s going your way.

And that is another thing which I think the pollsters are missing: the number of Democrats who are now functional Republicans. Voter registration trends indicate that people are far more switching GOP to Dem than Dem to GOP…but not everyone is going to bother themselves to switch registration, especially if there isn’t an intense primary battle to be fought. Just because a State has a Dem voter advantage of, say, 200,000 doesn’t mean you’ve got that many Democrats. You’ve just got a lot of people who haven’t bothered to make it official. But their returned VBM ballot goes into the Democrat pile…until it is opened and counted.

Trump, himself, seems to be in a good mood. His team exudes confidence. OTOH, Team Biden is floating Hillary for SecDef and Cuomo for AG – measuring the drapes, as it were. Or just trying to score some excitement in a flailing campaign? I don’t really know. Biden’s campaign is ridiculous: he’s clearly too old for it. He could get bigger crowds, of course: but that means more advance planning and that means he’s committed to be there…but if he’s sundowning just before showtime, it would be a disaster to have 10,000 people waiting for a guy who either can’t show, or shows up clearly senile. So, small venues and only little advance notice (one of his events in Arizona literally had no one show up for it). If Biden wins, it means that a massive campaign of lies can get just about anyone the Ruling Class wants over the top: this would bode ill for our chances long term.

Biden won’t be forced out right away if he wins, by the way: not if Harris has anything to say about it. She’ll want it as soon as possible, but she’ll also want two terms for herself: and that means Joe goes in January (highly unlikely) or Harris waits until January 21st, 2023 (a VP taking over for less than two years of a term is still eligible to be elected twice). No one can move against Joe unless Harris signs off on it: that is the way the 25th is written. VP can’t do it alone, but no one can do it without VP. So, Joe wins and it becomes Harris’ decision on when to act…unless Joe dies. But as long as he isn’t dead, they’ll keep him in there until Harris is ready and all deals have been cut.

Will they pack the courts? Only if they also get the Senate and even a Trump loss doesn’t ensure that. Everyone has signed off on the GOP losing CO and AZ while the GOP gains Alabama: net loss of one and the Democrats need two more. They’re making their play in ME, AK, SC and NC for those seats. I doubt they’ll win any of them. OTOH, there is the outside chance the GOP holds on in AZ and maybe even scores a miracle win in MI. Be that as it may: no Senate, no packing. If they get the Senate, they will try: but the move is unpopular and the GOP will fight tooth and nail to prevent it: this is something even the Establishment squishes would go to the mat on. OTOH, a Majority Leader Schumer has a Dem-friendly map for 2022; only three Democrat seats will be at any risk. But if the Senate is 51-49 come January, which Democrat walks the plank to pack the courts? In other words: packing is more easily said than done.

Now, to end on a high note: suppose Trump wins? It means that for the next four years Trump will continue to deregulate and will have years where he can weed out the worst of the bureaucrats: that is the most important thing he can do. It rolls back Democrat power and allows our side to compete on a more level playing field. And we’ll need that: if Trump wins, then we’ll have to do one of the hardest things in American politics: win three in a row in 2024. It rarely happens. It rarely happens even when the economy is good and the incumbent is popular. In recent times, only Reagan managed to pull it off. Clinton, Bush and Obama all failed to install their chosen successor into office. The person the Dems will nominate in 2024 will be very far left – and so we’re going to be against the wall trying to stop it: getting rid of backstabbers in DC will help us a lot.

Anyways: be of good cheer! God actually gets to decide how things turn out in the long run.

I really do think they are just missing some huge shifts in the electorate.

I agree that America is going through a political shift unlike any in history. In addition, I don’t remember where I heard this within the last couple weeks, and I don’t remember if it was a poll or anecdotal, but it was to the effect that as many as 35% of Trump supporters lie to pollsters. On top of that, something like 56%, when asked who they thought their neighbors were going to vote for said Trump.

    • Cluster October 13, 2020 / 5:10 pm

something like 56%, when asked who they thought their neighbors were going to vote for said Trump.

That number was 59%. In that poll, respondents favored Biden by I think 6 points, but when asked who their neighbor was voting for, Trump won by 10. We’re also all overlooking the riots this summer and the violent BLM movement which was endorsed by the Democrats and has turned many voters away not only from their inner city homes, but also away from the Democrat Party. Just take a look at social media polls too. There will over 100,000 respondents on those polls and Trump is winning 75%+ of the votes in most of them. My son pointed this out to me in 2016 and I didn’t believe him but he was right. These real polls … not the NBC or Fox News polls, no one tells them the truth. And then how about the enthusiasm gap? No one shows up for Biden, while Trump rides into town and upstages the Rolling Stones. Trump in a landslide

As I’ve said all along, there are indicators which say that Trump is doing well – the polls are mostly terrible. But even Rasmussen has it back to a 5 point Biden lead from his double-digit lead last week. My joke: I guess Rasmussen is back in the tank for Trump!

My advice to everyone is to stop fretting over it: it will be what it will be. We’re either going to win, or we’re going to lose. Get out and vote and see what happens. I expect Trump to win: but I’ll deal with anything.

My wife and In were having this very discussion this afternoon. We survived 8 years of Obama without shooting at each other. Life goes on, and, like you, we’re prepared to deal with whatever happens. Still I will be shocked if Biden wins by 17. I will not be shocked if Trump wins by 17.

I never was much of an NBA fan although I did like the Magic Johnson/Larry Bird battles and have taken family to Phoenix Suns game from time to time but yesterday Mark Cuban refused to condemn China after being asked repeatedly by Megan Kelly. Cuban wouldn’t even disavow the treatment of the Uyghurs in Eastern China who are being brutalized but Cuban did have a lot of criticism on how America treats black people.

Never again will watch or go to an NBA game and I encourage all to follow suit. American needs to disown that league and let them earn them money from, and cater to the Chinese. Good riddance

    Interesting article:

UFOs being tracked over our (and Russia’s) nuclear facilities, but they were interfering with launch protocols to the point where had the President called for a missile launch, they couldn’t have done it as they’d somehow been deactivated. Mr. Mellon discusses that metallic materials supposedly taken from UFO crash/landing sites had been engineered at the atomic level and were not found on Earth in any natural form…and no nation to our knowledge is even close to having such engineering capabilities.

    Uh oh …..

The never-before-revealed meeting is mentioned in a message of appreciation that Vadym Pozharskyi, an adviser to the board of Burisma, allegedly sent Hunter Biden on April 17, 2015, about a year after Hunter joined the Burisma board at a reported salary of up to $50,000 a month.

“Dear Hunter, thank you for inviting me to DC and giving an opportunity to meet your father and spent [sic] some time together. It’s realty [sic] an honor and pleasure,” the e-mail reads.

An earlier e-mail from May 2014 also shows Pozharskyi, reportedly Burisma’s No. 3 exec, asking Hunter for “advice on how you could use your influence” on the company’s behalf.

This could absolutely be a game changer or at least it should be. Joe Biden should not only be disqualified from being POTUS but should probably be investigated and indicted.

”Kris Jacks, a trainer and mentor at Our Revolution protests and a member of the executive committee of the Colorado Democratic Party, made it clear that he will do “everything morally acceptable” to prevent Trump’s reelection this year.

“I am going to do everything morally acceptable to win. I will lie. I will cheat. I will steal. Because that’s morally acceptable in this political environment. Absolutely. We are pirates on a pirate ship.””

It seems among other things, the left has taken to redefine the word “moral”. Could be my Christian education is deceiving me but last I remember lying, cheating and stealing are definitely NOT morally acceptable.

I haven’t been following the polls—Hunting Bigfoot is not only more entertaining than the polls it feels more realistic—but the Cory Gardner TV ads are infinitely better than the Hickenlooper efforts and the Looper is not all that popular in Colorado. So don’t write Cory off.

I’d love to see the Colorado GOP use these words from Jacks in an ad campaign, showing the moral compass of the Colorado Democrat Party and pointing out that electing the Looper also means electing Dems in general, and just look at the mess the 2018 Bait and Switch election has made in our state. They are so arrogant they come right out and admit they are willing to lie, cheat and steal to win, and then they call this “morally acceptable”. To them, maybe. To the rest of Colorado? We’ll see.

I have yet to hear the following story reported on MSNBC … strange

Richard Spencer, neo-Nazi, white supremacist, and organizer of the infamous 2017 Charlottesville riots, announced yesterday on Twitter that he will be voting for Joe Biden in the upcoming 2020 election.

A Twitter user asked Spencer if he will be voting for Biden or sitting out the election, given his belief that “Biden/Kamala will be tougher on crime/BLM than Trump.” Spencer responded, “I plan to vote for Biden and a straight democratic ticket. It’s not based on ‘accelerationism’ or anything like that; the liberals are clearly more competent people.”

Although Spencer claims that his endorsement is about competence and not ideology, his comments from the 2017 Charlottesville riots say otherwise. During his keynote speech in Charlottesville, Spencer explained how abortion advances white nationalist goals, stating, “The people who are having abortions are generally very often black or Hispanic or from very poor circumstances.”

Hunter Biden pursued deals with a major Chinese energy company including one that would be ‘interesting for me and my family’, new secret emails said to be from the presidential candidate’s son claim. He also struck a deal for $30 million plus bonuses ‘based on introductions alone’ over three years after his father left office, then was offered a ‘much more lasting and lucrative arrangement.’ The son of the Democratic presidential nominee communicated with China’s largest private energy company, CEFC, according to the latest trove of messages unearthed by the New York Post from what is said to be Hunter’s personal laptop. In one email sent to Hunter in May 2017 titled ‘Expectations’, details of ‘remuneration packages’ for six people in a business venture were discussed. He was identified as the ‘chair/vice chair depending on agreement with CEFC’, an apparent reference to the now bankrupt Shanghai conglomerate China Energy Co. Hunter’s pay was ‘850’ and the correspondence also noted how he ‘has some office expectations he will elaborate’.

Of course the Clintons and Obamas were corrupt. How else do people with no job history or experience or money become fabulously wealthy after being president for eight years? The Clintons were just more blatant about their corruption. The Obamas kept to their pattern of secret relationships being hidden from the public.

I wonder if learning that Joe was taking half of what his family raked in due to his influence peddling will affect Dem voters. They truly do not seem to care how deeply and blatantly corrupt their people are, focusing instead on some bizarre fantasy that somehow the old Trump tax returns will prove some corruption on his part.—that was completely missed by the IRS, of course, needing the House of Representatives to dissect them, parse them and explain them to the American public. (What they seem to be looking for is proof that he paid off the porn actress.)

I come back to one of my complaints lately, which is the failure to link Hunter’s personal corruption with benefits received by Joe, who enabled Hunter’s antics. It always looks like we are “going after the family” instead of pointing out how Joe used his family as front men and women for his own corrupt and probably illegal activities.

Leftist enclaves descend further into desolation, minorities and Jews leaving the democrat party in droves, a continuation of constitutionalist judges being appointed, international corrections taking place in many corners of the world including NATO finally being forced to live up to their agreement, the UK and potentially other countries leaving the EU, and places like China, Canada & Mexico being forced to accept fairer trade agreements. The Democrats and MSNBC have BALLS. MSNBC is right now reporting that they have “confirmed” that Giuliani was the target of a Russia disinformation campaign to “harm the candidacy of Joe Biden”

Wow. I never thought this would happen in this country

    • Amazona October 16, 2020 / 5:25 pm

Since the laptop in question was in the hands of the FBI for months before Giuliani got his hands on it, they must be saying that since the FBI colluded with Russia in a massive disinformation campaign against Trump they are now trying to balance this by doing the same against Biden.

But oh, those wily Russians! First they planted damaging information on a laptop that had belonged to Hunter Biden. When it was taken to a dinky little computer repair shop in Delaware to have the data copied to a new hard drive, they managed to keep track of it. Then they got the computer shop owner to report what he saw when he was doing the transfer, and keep nagging the FBI about it till they finally picked it up. By that time it was considered abandoned and the property of the computer repair shop, but the Russians never gave up.

Now here is where the genius of the Russkies comes into play—way back when this happened, in November of 2019, they already knew Biden would be the presidential candidate almost a year later! And this was all set up to discredit him when that happened. Of course.

Putin even made a public comment, after Biden became the nominee, that he hoped he would win, just to throw us off and confuse us while at the same time his agents were plotting to discredit him by getting this planted information channeled through the FBI to Rudy Giuliani. Now THAT required some brilliant footwork, as Rudy has not been so close the FBI that it could be guaranteed or even expected to have them all work together.

But that’s what MSDNC is claiming—that the entire elaborate plot was always focused on targeting RUDY to discredit Joe.

      Or something. //sarc off

So what should the topics be at the next debate? I’m thinking they should cover the two newly brokered peace deals in the Middle East, the improved relations with moderate Arab countries, the fact that Iran and NK are broke and isolated, the new trade deal with China, the economy rebound, and maybe the SC battle and each candidates positions. BUT NO …. here are the topics for the next debate:

Race, climate change and COVID: Topics are revealed for the final presidential debate as moderator’s deep ties to the Democrats come under scrutiny

    • Amazona October 18, 2020 / 12:04 pm

Why doesn’t the RNC object and reject?

Because it’s the impotent RNC. Next…..

Now if only Trump would start off with a calm, collected, coherent statement that he thinks the American people would like to hear about peace deals in the Middle East, the improved relations with moderate Arab countries, the fact that Iran and NK are broke and isolated, the new trade deal with China, the economy rebound, and why conservatives support SC justices who will rule strictly according to the Constitution and not to advance political agendas—and that it is transparently obvious that the moderators only want to go over, endlessly, a couple of topics where they feel Biden might have an advantage.

And then, when a climate change question pops up, say “See? I told you so. Nothing about anything where I have been successful, just the same questions that have been dragged out in the last debate and in the bogus town hall show. Why are you afraid to talk about peace in the Middle East? Why are you avoiding talk about the economy recovering? Why won’t you ask about packing the Supreme Court and how it would destroy the checks and balances built into our system? You won’t even ASK about it, much less about what it would do to our nation.”
