Life is Better When the GOP Wins

That worked out pretty well. Virginia, I mean. Sure, the Dems were able to get Murphy into another term in NJ, but we all kinda know how that happened! The bottom line is that it was a bloodbath for the Democrats. The MSM, likely looking for people who would call the GOP racists, interviewed a Latino voter in VA and they didn’t get what they wanted! He was voting Youngkin…but here, to me, was the crucial thing: he was voting GOP for a variety of reasons but he finished up by saying, “everything is just terrible.” That’s the story.

The base of the Democrat party right now is white college educated women and black women (there is an exit poll which claims Youngkin took 13% of the black female vote but everyone – including me – is taking that with a grain of salt: the GOP usually does mid-single digits with black female voters…but, who knows? Things are just terrible!). Every other demographic in both VA and NJ showed huge swings to the GOP. And don’t think that Trump maxed out the rural vote! Nothing of the kind – it turned out in numbers people simply couldn’t believe. Matched with some suburbanites going back to the GOP, it was too much for McA to overcome, even with some attempted shenanigans in Fairfax County (with the VA GOP dropping on it like a ton of bricks – they were prepared: less so in NJ, which is how Murphy managed to pull it off…but that one caught everyone by surprise). The bottom line is if we get this sort of swing nationwide next year, Democrats will lose the Senate and at least 40 House seats. Fingers crossed!

Things can change a lot in a year, of course, so let’s not count our chickens just yet. But for us to do badly in 2022 will require the United States to do very well…and I just don’t think that Team Pudding Brain has our best interests at heart. But, more than that, I don’t think they even know what to do. They aren’t very bright people. They have very limited or non-existent real world experience. The supply chain problem continues – and you and I see it every time we go to the store – and I suspect that the people in charge simply don’t comprehend what it takes to move a ton of goods a mile. How could they? People in law and with “studies” degrees have always lived well, even when they aren’t financially rich: they still lived in tony urban and suburban areas where everything is done for them. For a huge number of them you’d probably have to go back to a great-grandparent before you found someone who actually had to do something. I mean, I’m not a working class hero kind of guy (my younger brother is, though): I work a physically non-demanding job and I’ve never had to earn my bread with my hands…but I’m familiar. In my youth, of course, I was in the Navy and jobs I’ve had include things like delivering furniture. I can change a tire. Fix a clogged drain. I’m not helpless…and I also have a conception of what it takes to actually get something physically accomplished. Our Ruling Class? No. They simply don’t know – and so when confronted with something like a shortage of food, they simply don’t know where to even begin.

The Democrats, naturally, went into meltdown mode. For at least a lot of them, the lesson from Tuesday is to quadruple down on calling us all stupid racists. I urge them to stay the course on this – the more they insult the people, the better it will work out for us. If they want to drive over the electoral cliff, I’m not only not going to stop them, I’m going to egg them on. They are very much letting the American people know just what they are – nasty, mean, power mad lunatics.

So, feel good! It was a tonic – good to win again and know that we still have a shot at righting the ship.

Democrats are hell bent in pushing this country into a war …

Private companies could face nearly $14,000 fines for each unvaccinated worker – and up to $136,532 for repeat offenders or those found to have willfully violated the rules under the Biden administration’s new sweeping mandates that start today. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) announced the final version of the new rule on Thursday morning, which will impact more than 80 million workers at companies nationwide with at least 100 employees. ‘OSHA is issuing a rule to require employers with 100 or more employees to ensure each of their workers is fully vaccinated or tests negative for COVID at least once a week. This rule covers 84 million employees,’ according to a senior administration official.

They will ignore the election outcomes and will continue to impose their authoritarian socialist agenda and this WILL NOT END WELL.

They will ignore the election outcomes or at least they will try to ignore them. If the momentum of pushback against tyranny keeps growing, I think Republican control of Congress in a year is pretty much guaranteed, and Congress can put a halt to this.

This OSHA power grab is well outside their authority. Take it a step farther—who is going to collect those fines? What happens when fines pile up and companies keep ignoring them? What is the enforcement arm?

OSHA works fine on a small, case-by-case level. But threatened with a shutdown of the agency, those career bureaucrats will fold, and Congress has the ability to shut them down.

      • Amazona November 4, 2021 / 10:51 am

BTW, you know what this OSHA order is based on?

Presidential Executive Order on Protecting Worker Health and Safety,
        January 21, 2021.

Yep—-President Asterisk signed another of his “I Am The King” executive orders, a federal agency fell into line, and now we have this announcement of yet more federal overreach.

I think if every Republican runs on the concept of a federal government severely restricted as to size, scope and power, with most authority left to the states or to the people, they will run the table.

      • Cluster November 4, 2021 / 6:58 pm

These new OSHA mandates will create even more chaos in this country for 2022 but will hopefully lead to a decimation of Democrats and weak ass Republicans in Nov of 2022. I think the patriotic lions across the country are starting to wake up.

Spook, you are the one who has educated us on the Rule(s) of Holes, the first being “When your opponent is digging himself into a hole, get out of the way”. And then there is Rule 1B—“When your opponent is digging himself into a hole, hand him a shovel”.

The rule the Left is steadfastly ignoring is “When you are digging yourself into a hole—-stop”.

I think the Left is really doubling down on its rejection of Rule # 2. Trying to pretend that there is no such thing as CRT, much less that it has been promoted and taught by Leftist-controlled schools, is a great example.

During a panel discussion hosted by Sen. Ron Johnson on vaccine mandates and vaccine injuries, Army Lt. Col. Theresa Long, a brigade surgeon for the 1st Aviation Brigade in Ft. Rucker, Alabama, shared details about not only what she saw happen to some pilots after taking the vaccine, but how she was treated after speaking up about it.

“With respect to aviation safety, risk communication is critical,” she said. “I saw five patients in clinic, two of which presented with chest pain days to weeks after vaccination and were subsequently diagnosed with pericarditis and were worked up to rule out myocarditis.

“The third pilot had been vaccinated and felt like he was drunk, chronically fatigued within 24 hours after vaccination,” she continued. “After I reported to my command my concerns that in one morning I had to ground three out of three pilots due to vaccine injuries, the next day my patients were canceled, my charts were pulled for review, and I was told I would not be seeing acute patients anymore — just healthy pilots there for their flight physical.”

And here again we see the heavy hand of the Deep State silencing those who speak out. BTW,

Pericarditis is swelling and irritation of the thin, saclike tissue surrounding your heart (pericardium) and when it is severe it can lead to a serious condition. We have heard of young healthy people suddenly dying of heart attacks after taking the “vaccine” (which BTW has conveniently been redefined by the CDC so it can be called a “vaccine” after falsely doing so for two years) : When there is a fluid build-up in the space between the pericardium, it can cause a condition called pericardial effusion. If the fluid builds up quickly, it can cause cardiac tamponade. This is a sudden build-up of fluid in between the layers of the pericardium that keeps your heart from working like it should and can cause your blood pressure to drop. Cardiac tamponade is life-threatening and requires immediate drainage of the fluid.

The reaction of young healthy pilots to the vaccine is bad enough, but the silencing of the doctor responsible for making sure that pilots are healthy enough to fly safely is even more alarming. Is this happening with commercial pilots too?

If the number of COVID cases was starting to spike again, it would make sense for emergency rooms to be overflowing.

But at this particular hospital in Michigan, we are being told that some of the main things that are being treated include “abdominal pain”, “respiratory problems”, “blood clots” and “heart conditions”…

Months of treatment delays have exacerbated chronic conditions and worsened symptoms. Doctors and nurses say the severity of illness ranges widely and includes abdominal pain, respiratory problems, blood clots, heart conditions and suicide attempts, among other conditions.

That mention of “heart conditions” immediately got my attention, because I have been seeing this so much in the news recently.

For instance, a high school senior in Pennsylvania just dropped dead from “a sudden cardiac incident”…

The high school soccer manager ‘greatly enjoyed’ his team’s championship victory Saturday. Later that evening, he was dead.

Now, late student Blake Barklage’s high school is mourning his untimely death. As 6ABC in Philly reports, the tragedy occurred at La Salle College High School in Montgomery County, Pa.

In a letter to parents, the school announced that the senior died after ‘a sudden cardiac incident’ Saturday night.

Elsewhere in the same state, an otherwise healthy 12-year-old boy just suddenly died because of an issue with his coronary artery…

As family and friends grieve, the cause of death is in for a 12-year-old taken way too soon while warming up for school basketball practice.

As TribLive in Pittsburgh reports, Jayson Kidd, 12, of Bridgeville, Pa., died of natural causes involving his coronary artery, according to the Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Heart problems kill elderly people all the time, but it is odd that so many healthy young people have been having these problems.

Over the weekend, Barcelona striker Sergio Aguero suddenly collapsed on the pitch during a match.

He was later diagnosed with “a cardiac arrhythmia”…

Sergio “Kun” Aguero, a striker for the Barcelona soccer team, has been diagnosed with a cardiac arrhythmia after collapsing during Saturday’s match against Alaves.

The 33-year-old Argentinian was examined by medical staff at the stadium before being taken to a nearby hospital where he is still waiting to undergo further examination.

Just two days later, a match in Norway was brought to a screeching halt after a player experienced “cardiac arrest” right in the middle of a match…

A football match in Norway’s second division was halted on Monday after Icelandic midfielder Emil Pálsson suffered a cardiac arrest during play.

The 28-year-old Sogndal player suffered the attack as the game against Stjordals-Blink entered the 12th minute, his club said in a statement.

I have been seeing so many stories like this.

So why are so many young people suddenly having such serious problems with their hearts?

Can anyone out there explain this to me?

Is there any other response than DUHHH….how about “vaccine” injuries?

This is just truly hard to believe:

The billionaire founder of Microsoft warned that world leaders must prepare for disasters like ‘smallpox terror attacks’ whatever the cost and called for the formation of a Pandemic Task Force.

Here’s a guy who, along with little boy Fauci aided and abetted the Covid-19 scare and needless death, now warning us of future bio attacks – all of which he will be ready to capitalize on.

These are sick fucking people. Just say when

First, I’ve been saying for at least ten years that I have expected a bio attack, probably weaponized smallpox, spread by Muslim fanatics through infecting airline travelers around the world. This has been based on the information about the Twelvethers, the sect convinced that the 12th Imam will not return and set the stage for islam to rule the world until worldwide chaos and bloodshed have occurred. Because this prophecy includes the death and suffering of Muslim and infidel alike, the uncontrolled spread of a deadly pathogen would be just fine.

Then I saw the bio attack we now call Covid 19 as a precursor to this kind of attack, a dress rehearsal so to speak, not of a radical Islamic attack but one by an opponent if not outright enemy of the United States and by extension the West.

So the idea of preparing, as much as possible, for this kind of thing does not bother me. Having Bill Gates associated with it does.

What happens when someone says “when”?

AOC’s take: McAuliffe lost because he wasn’t progressive enough

Because if you really really want a hard-core Progressive (aka Communist or Socialist) to be your governor and your choice is someone partway there and someone who is the exact opposite of that, you will vote for the opposite because.

    Just because.

Because zero percent of what you want is soooo much better than fifty percent. Or eighty percent. Or whatever McAuliffe’s score on the Progressive scorecard is.

      • Amazona November 5, 2021 / 10:34 am

Running on 1/6 ought to be entertaining. We have the first obstacle, which is the actual definition of “insurrection”. As far as I can tell, only a couple of radicals talked about overthrowing the government, they were not part of a larger group and they were not armed.

Then there is the evidence that the FBI set up the breaching part, with Epps out there trying to incite lawlessness and mystery people who knew their way around opening doors and inviting people in, after they took down barricades.

And the timing, with Trump still speaking when the mob started to make a scene at the Capitol, and the actual words of his speech.

It’ll be a tough row to hoe

There is a black mouth moving, but a white idea through the, running on the runway of the tongue of a figure who justifies and legitimates the white supremacist practices. We know that we can internalize in our own minds, in our own subconscious, and in our own bodies, the very principles that are undoing us. So, to have a black face, speaking in behalf of a white supremacist legacy is nothing new. And it is to the chagrin of those of us who study race that the white folk on the other side and the right wingers on the other side, don’t understand this is politics 101 and this is race, not even 101. What’s beneath 101? It’s the it’s the pre-K of race, you should understand the fact that if you tell black people, look, I support a negro Look, there is a person of color that I am in favor of and that person of color happens to undermine and undercut and subvert the very principles about which we are concerned, you do yourself no service by pointing to them as an example of your racial progressivism.

I can’t imagine what it is like to have this kind of mind, these kinds of thoughts dominating my life. I can’t imagine waking up in the morning and looking into a mirror and seeing this kind of person looking back at me.

It’s vile and oozing with hate, but when you force yourself to look beneath that what you see is narcissism. What you see is a demented focus on self, the assumption that everything is about MEEEEEEE driving the thought processes that support this delusion.

And the truth—that you are not important, that no one cares what color your skin is, that you are just a tiny inconsequential pebble in the stream of humanity without even the power to shift the current—is just too awful to face. So all the spirit, all the mental energy, all the emotion, all of it is focused on whatever supports your pathological ego-driven conviction that you are really really important, that millions of people are thinking about you, that entire political movements are based on what they think of YOU.

On the surface it is a plural “you” as you pay lip service to the idea that you are talking about an entire race of people, but that is just a cover story. To Joy Ann Reid, it’s really all about HER—-and she will never be able to accept the fact that one gives a damn about her, except a few who echo her narcissism and seething hatred of anyone who does not look like her or think like her.

She and her fellow travelers are the faces of a deep and pustulent moral and intellectual abscess but at least they are the face of SOMETHING. Without this obsession and platform upon which to exhibit it, they would be nothing. An abscess is the reaction to an infection, so the reference is apt.

The real reason the person quoted despises black people who are not driven by hate and resentment is that their message is that we are all alike in the ways that matter, and that the amount of melanin in the skin does not and should not define us. That drives the black narcissist insane, because without the crutch of skin color he or she would have to judged just like everyone else—by character, by accomplishment.

I have to keep reminding myself that these people represent only a very small fraction of American thought. That is why they keep being recycled from one Agenda Media outlet to another, to create the illusion that they are important, that they have a large following and that we should pay attention to them. But as they keep getting propped up by the Reids of the media, they start to enlarge on their messaging, and we see them getting goofier and goofier.

Which is a good thing. You start off preaching to a fairly sizable choir, but then you get off on the acclaim so you intensify your messaging. That, however, weeds out the less gullible or emotion-driven, narrowing your scope of acceptance—but you get more media gigs. So you up your game, dragging in more academic-sounding words and exaggerating your ideas. Pretty soon you have gotten so off the rails you have become a laughingstock to everyone but the few mouthbreathing radicals who need a mouthpiece like you to backstop their own insanity. And you have become a media whore who will say anything to get on another show for a tongue bath from someone like Joy Reid.

You guys are pretty good at research, so help me out. When the Left howls about “families separated at the border? what are they talking about? Because Joe Biden screamed that they ‘LOST THEIR CHILD !!”

I was paying pretty close attention to the howling about “Children RIPPPED FROM THE ARMS OF THEIR PARENTS !!!” and at the time it was all about separating children from the adults who took them to the border to interview everyone and make sure the kids were really theirs. It was an effort to protect the children from being trafficked by people not their parents.

It seems to me that if any of these loving moms and dads who had just dragged their little ones across a dangerous and inhospitable country to a place where they were going to try to break the law had then had those kids taken away for good, never to be seen again, this would have been pounced on by a bloodthirsty Agenda Media desperate for something with more meat to it than temporary separation for interviews.

    What did I miss?

    • Amazona November 7, 2021 / 11:11 am

OK, a little research shows that for a while, under a Trump policy of prosecuting people for breaking the law (what a novel idea!) when parents were arrested to be prosecuted their children were not allowed to accompany them to jail. In other words, the families were separated in the same way that citizen families are separated when their parents are jailed pending prosecution.

This policy of prosecution was abandoned when so many illegal immigrant parents decided what the hell. we’ll take our chances, and the system became overwhelmed with children whose parents were in jail.

But it all comes down to this administration wanting to make millionaires of people who made the decision to risk separation in the first place by dragging their children across our borders illegally.

      • Amazona November 7, 2021 / 11:20 am

From a May 28, 2018 article in National Review about this:

The Trump administration isn’t changing the rules that pertain to separating an adult from the child. Those remain the same. Separation happens only if officials find that the adult is falsely claiming to be the child’s parent, or is a threat to the child, or is put into criminal proceedings.

It’s the last that is operative here. The past practice had been to give a free pass to an adult who is part of a family unit. The new Trump policy is to prosecute all adults. The idea is to send a signal that we are serious about our laws and to create a deterrent against re-entry. (Illegal entry is a misdemeanor, illegal re-entry a felony.)

When a migrant is prosecuted for illegal entry, he or she is taken into custody by the U.S. Marshals. In no circumstance anywhere in the U.S. do the marshals care for the children of people they take into custody. The child is taken into the custody of HHS, who cares for them at temporary shelters.

The criminal proceedings are exceptionally short, assuming there is no aggravating factor such as a prior illegal entity or another crime. The migrants generally plead guilty, and they are then sentenced to time served, typically all in the same day, although practices vary along the border. After this, they are returned to the custody of ICE.

If the adult then wants to go home, in keeping with the expedited order of removal that is issued as a matter of course, it’s relatively simple. The adult should be reunited quickly with his or her child, and the family returned home as a unit. In this scenario, there’s only a very brief separation.

Where it becomes much more of an issue is if the adult files an asylum claim. In that scenario, the adults are almost certainly going to be detained longer than the government is allowed to hold their children.

That’s because of something called the Flores Consent Decree from 1997. It says that unaccompanied children can be held only 20 days. A ruling by the Ninth Circuit extended this 20-day limit to children who come as part of family units. So even if we want to hold a family unit together, we are forbidden from doing so.

The clock ticking on the time the government can hold a child will almost always run out before an asylum claim is settled. The migrant is allowed ten days to seek an attorney, and there may be continuances or other complications.

This creates the choice of either releasing the adults and children together into the country pending the ajudication of the asylum claim, or holding the adults and releasing the children. If the adult is held, HHS places the child with a responsible party in the U.S., ideally a relative (migrants are likely to have family and friends here).

And it all comes back to decisions made by the parents. They rolled the dice, with their children held hostage to their decisions, from deciding to drag the kids to the border to trying to get across between border crossings (a decision that has cost many, including children, their lives as they die in the desert) to refusing to be returned and holding out for approval of an asylum claim.

Sometimes they lost. Now this administration wants to reward them for that.

Barely a month after COVID-19 hit America, researchers submitted a paper to Antiviral Research that found Ivermectin to be effective against COVID-19 in the lab. It turns out that the same properties that make it effective against parasites also make it promising against viruses.

Before the paper was even published, the FDA issued a “Letter to Stakeholders” that threatened “FDA investigation and potential enforcement action” against any doctor with the temerity to try it against COVID-19. The letter stated: “Additional testing is needed to determine whether ivermectin might be safe or effective to prevent or treat coronavirus or COVID-19.” It then went on, bizarrely, to warn against people taking Ivermectin packaged for animal use.

Okay. That’s a weird caution. But at least we could expect the FDA to do the additional testing that would either prove or disprove the effectiveness of Ivermectin as a treatment for COVID-19. After all, thousands were dying daily, and millions of cases were available for Randomized Controlled Trials that could provide a definitive answer.

One might think that while granting “emergency use authorization” to Remdesivir, two mRNA injections (Moderna and Pfizer), and one vaccine (J&J) against COVID-19, the FDA could have included a study of one of the safest drugs known to man.

But, alas, 7 months later and we still have no such study. Nor has the FDA updated its guidance based on multiple external studies. Rather, on August 21, 2121 we got a snarky tweet bringing up the same unlikely scenario that it had imagined on April 10, 2020.
    ………………………………..

those at the CDC and FDA, who have spent a year and a half failing to study Ivermectin, should be put out of a job. The Centers for Disease Control was created to control diseases, not to control the narrative. Seriously, y’all. Stop it.

Once again, I wonder if anyone will ever do the research necessary to determine, as much as it will be possible to know with any certainty, how many people died unnecessarily because of the fumbling, bumbling incompetence and mismanagement of the FDA and CDC—-not to mention how many treatments were falsely claimed to be either ineffective or dangerous because there was political pressure to prevent Donald Trump from being identified as someone who recommended something helpful.

Why would the FDA threaten to prosecute doctors for prescribing a drug originally developed for human use and safely used for decades? But then why would pharmacists refuse to honor prescriptions written by medical doctors for hydroxychloroquine (also used safely by humans for half a century) after the Agenda Media declared it would kill people, following its mention as a possible treatment for Covid? Why, with millions of lives at risk, would various agencies go to such lengths to keep people (and their doctors) from trying safe medical approaches to dealing with this virus? I think it’s well past time for these questions to be asked and answered.

(BTW, I’ve recently discovered a little gem called CowboyStateDaily.com and it is a great example of what journalism could and should be. Aside from the fact that its articles are well written, which I value more and more as time goes on and I am faced with semi-literate mishmashes of word salad and bad spelling and grammar, they are concise and present facts. It’s a Wyoming-centered publication, but worth taking a look at, if only to get a glimpse of part of Flyover Country in one of the few sane states left.)

Have Leftist governance policies affected the supply chain? Do ya think?

During the last year, a number of truckers retired – both corporate and self-owned. This has really hurt the trucking industry. For the docks in California, only newer trucks can operate because of emissions standards, and we’ve heard no one is buying new trucks because of potential standards to take place in a few years.

The California Legislature passed a bill, which is hung up in court right now, and bans independent owner-operators of trucks in-state and those coming into the state. Hopefully the courts will do away with this ban.

Shipping companies are also looking for other ports to dock where a union presence is not too large, but they would have to go through the Panama Canal to reach those in the southeastern U.S. Plus, warehouse space is tight in these alternative docks.

Because of organized labor unions at the Los Angeles and Long Beach docks in California, there are around 70 ships waiting to get unloaded. This number has eased up as they were forced to operate 24/7. The unions refused to expand their work hours and work on weekends. Getting unions to operate 24/7 should have been dealt with months ago

Outrageous emission standards. Promises to change emission standards on new trucks. Unions. The article doesn’t even mention vaccine mandates and how many truckers are refusing to submit to them.
