This is how the birth of Jesus Christ came about.
When his mother Mary was betrothed to Joseph, but before they lived together, she was found with child through the Holy Spirit.
Joseph her husband, since he was a righteous man, yet unwilling to expose her to shame, decided to divorce her quietly.
Such was his intention when, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary your wife into your home. For it is through the Holy Spirit that this child has been conceived in her. She will bear a son and you are to name him Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.”
All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet:Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and they shall name him Emmanuel, which means “God is with us.”
When Joseph awoke, he did as the angel of the Lord had commanded him and took his wife into his home. He had no relations with her until she bore a son, and he named him Jesus. – Matthew 1:18-25
Merry Christmas everyone. You are all like a second family to me.
This is exactly what I was going to say.
We’ve all been through a lot together over the years and I have come to think of you as, as Spook said, a second family.
Merry Christmas ! (Or, maybe, Mary Christmas )
A blessed Holy Day to all. Merry Christmas. Hope everyone finds peace in their hearts and joy in each day.
We’ve been together nearly as long as actual family – and irritated each other nearly as much!
Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas! 🙂
Merry belated Christmas everyone. Second family indeed and just as dysfunctional lol. I wish all of you another joyful New Year.
This mornings news is filled with the travel misery so many people are going thru with canceled and delayed flights all over the country. My only questions is, why isn’t the gay boy held accountable???

We were all dug in for the storm that began in northeast Indiana on Thursday afternoon. I talked to my sister in Billings, MT, on Tuesday, and she said their forecast high on Wednesday was supposed to be 11 below zero with a low of 24 below zero. Between Thursday afternoon and Friday morning we dropped from the high 30s to 8 below zero, but the 3-6 inches of snow we were supposed to get ended up being around an inch, just enough for a white Christmas. A couple of days we had wind chills of 25-30 below zero. That’s why God invented fleece blankets, wood stoves and crockpot chili. There’s a warm-up coming, though — back in the 50s by Thursday and for 5 or 6 days after that.
