The Balloon Seems Small

Nothing is ever really a surprise. There are always signs, though often even the most perceptive miss them. What is blazingly obvious in hindsight was actually there for all the world to see…it just wasn’t noticed.

Charles DeGaulle was asked shortly after Hitler came to power what France would do if Germany were to attack one of her neighbors. His response was along the lines of, “we shall have a limited or full call up depending on the circumstances and then, peering out from our fortifications, we shall witness the enslavement of Europe.” And that was just so very close because DeGaulle was, indeed, a very perceptive man. But even he missed the obvious – and what should have been obvious to a graduate of Saint-Cyr: there is no such thing as a defensive war. There is victory or there is defeat…and the side which stays in its fortifications loses. DeGaulle’s answer should have been, there will be a German victory parade in Paris.

This is not to condemn DeGaulle – after all, what patriot wishes to envision the destruction of his nation? To admit even to himself that his people are so weak and divided that they will throw up the sponge? He simply couldn’t imagine it – even after the great German breakthrough DeGaulle (and a very few others) were urging that several hundred thousand French troops be evacuated to France’s North African territory (along with as much military equipment as possible) to continue the struggle. To get there, get American aid (which would have been forthcoming) and just keep up the fight until German’s internal weaknesses gave the Allies the upper hand. It could easily have been done – but hardly anyone wanted to do it. They just wanted to surrender as quickly as possible and get back to their corrupt, little lives (the supposed fighting Premier of France was already feathering his nest and looking for a new post as he fled Paris).

But he still should have seen it. 1936 was the year – Hitler remilitarized the Rhineland with 3,000 troops. While the Krauts were working ’round the block to build up a military force, the bottom line was that in 1936 the German military was in no ways prepared for war (it wasn’t really in 1939, either; but it was a least vastly better prepared than 3 years previously). The French leadership called in the Generals and said, “expel the Germans”. And the Generals came back and said “we need full mobilization”, which would have taken weeks and cost huge sums of money – when all they needed to do was literally send in what they had at the border and it all would have been over in a couple days. Lots of excuses are made for why the Generals said that but mostly it is explaining it away – they didn’t want to fight. And neither did the civil leadership. So they essentially made a pact of cowardice and did nothing; even though they knew full well that allowing the German army back into the Rhineland posed a mortal threat to France. The reason it had been de-militarized was because there was no way France could match Germany in total military power…a demilitarized Rhineland was France’s shield. And they gave it up. Because they were all corrupt cowards, as would be most starkly shown 4 years later. Anyone really paying attention at that time (and Hitler was) knew that for all intents and purposes, France was removed from the European equation. And the French people were ok with it – because, by and large, they were as corrupt and cowardly as their leaders.

The balloon seems small. So did the Rhineland – most French and Brits were “they were only marching into their own backyard” about it. It was passed off as nothing and can we please just get back to our lives? The balloon seems small. But it was an enemy aircraft which was allowed unfettered access to American airspace and only shot down after its usefulness to the enemy was over. And it does flash into the mind: the Chinese told us not to shoot it down until it was in the Atlantic. How else to explain why it wasn’t shot down when detected over Alaska? And why weren’t we told about it until it was already 650 miles inside US territory? The balloon seems small – but what it foretells might be very large.

The American President (who showered with his daughter) said yesterday that he “ordered” the military to shoot the balloon down last Wednesday, which begs the question, why weren’t those orders followed and who is actually in charge? Now of course I don’t believe that for a minute, that’s just Joe having a corn pop tough guy moment, but that doesn’t excuse the military for not acting on orders for 4 days, and the statement about collateral damage on the ground is a joke. The vast majority of Montana is unpopulated, so shouldn’t our “media’ be a little suspect about all of this and start asking questions? Don’t count on it.

The fact is, China flew an imaging spy device over our air bases, missile sites, and areas where there are large natural gas deposits, they got the information they needed, it was all by consent from the WH (as a payback for enriching Hunter), and to deflect from these facts, Joe shot the balloon down after it’s mission was completed and China issues a strong statement of rebuke. Nothing to see here folks. Get back to your tik tok videos.

I wonder if it would have been possible to alter the path of the balloon. It really does look like we just helplessly watched it go wherever it wanted to go and do whatever it was tasked to do, totally baffled about what could be done. Waiting till it crossed the entire country, transmitting information, has got to be one of the utterly stupidest things imaginable.

Even a casual observer would have to conclude, at this point, that a fairly large number of powerful (but not necessarily intelligent) people in our government are guilty of, if not treason, at least gross malfeasance.

And yesterday, Russia was rattling the nuclear sabre once again, so all Americans should feel real good about their current leadership. If Russia doesn’t kill us with nukes, we will all soon be in Chinese reeducation camps. Thanks Big Tech, Big Pharma, Military Industrial Complex and most importantly, Biden voters.

Just thinking out loud here, but wouldn’t this be a good time to become completely energy independent by using our own oil and gas reserves, and to begin quickly building chip manufacturing and oil refinery facilities? As well as replenishing our weapons and armament inventory? These would be top agenda items for political leaders who care about their country, which is why no one in Washington DC is even thinking about that.

There are only two plausible answers: (a) everyone in a position of power with the ability to either do the things you list or at least advocate for them is extremely short-sighted; or (b) they are all evil SOBs who want to see the United States of America taken down a peg.

These do sound like Trump agendas

And not to mention, rebuilding a pharmaceutical manufacturing base – we’re going to need it as long as Bill Gates, Tony Fauci, and Klaus Schwab are doing shit.

Isn’t it strange that people of color chose to seek asylum in countries founded by white people?? Why not seek asylum in Nigeria or Columbia??

And just a thought, people who believe in equity, should not start wars.

Remember when Forty rushed in to congratulate his “Jobs President”? Well ….

The mainstream media cheered the news that the U.S. economy added 517,000 jobs last month. Sadly, that just isn’t true. According to reports and the St. Louis Federal Reserve, the US economy actually lost 2.5 million jobs in January.

We shouldn’t be surprised by this though, this is a party that just makes shit up. Like men becoming women.

Making fun of people like you.

    • Cluster February 6, 2023 / 8:11 pm

And shouldn’t you be out saving democracy somewhere?

Control the media, control the minds. There’s ample evidence of that, isn’t there?

I’ve never been a big fan of Bill Maher, but once in a while he really nails it.

If you’re part of today’s woke revolution, you need to study the part of revolutions where they spin out of control because the revolutionaries get so drunk on their own purifying elixir they imagine they can re-invent the very nature of human beings.

Auditors Find ‘Widespread Fraud’ in Federal Government’s Pandemic Spending

No way, no how – didn’t happen. The US government is far too careful and efficient for this to happen, especially the current administration. The government watches every single penny it spends. (/sarc)

Well just maybe, with over $5 TRILLION DOLLARS already spent on pandemic relief programs, perhaps a few billion here and a few more billion there was misappropriated. After all, what good is a manufactured crisis if not for finding more ways to confiscate money.

    • Retired Spook February 6, 2023 / 2:28 pm

      The sub-headline says it all:

‘There was no oversight of any of these dollars in the last Congress… ‘

Let’s see – who had the majority in the last Congress, I forget…….?

      • Cluster February 6, 2023 / 3:05 pm

I guess all the oversight was being done on a lot of unarmed 50 year olds who they thought were going to hurt them. They know how to protect themselves, and they probably will need it soon

    • Retired Spook February 6, 2023 / 6:08 pm

      Last sentence of the article:

Either the current Pentagon is lying or the former Pentagon officials were treasonous bastards. Americans deserve the truth.

      What he said.

      • Cluster February 6, 2023 / 6:30 pm

You simply just don’t understand the underlying problem do you? You know I’m old enough to remember when Democrats were actually liberal and anti big government. What in the hell happened to you people?

      • Retired Spook February 6, 2023 / 7:40 pm

I’m old enough to remember when Democrats were actually liberal and anti big government.

You must be older than I am then, because I don’t remember Democrats EVER being anti big government. I do remember them being anti-war, though. As for what happened to them, they got woke. They’re good at multi-tasking, though. They’re woke and asleep at the switch at the same time.

      • Cluster February 6, 2023 / 8:09 pm

Lol you can stop proving me right anytime you want.

      • Cluster February 6, 2023 / 8:50 pm

Your laughingly transparent obsession with Trump precludes you from understanding the issue here, but that’s with most issues so it’s just rinse and repeat with you.

This assumes too that this is even a true story considering that non compromised Trump officials deny it. Now run a long and go save democracy somewhere.

      • Cluster February 6, 2023 / 10:31 pm

Constitutional powers and authorities. If Mattis is correct, that’s straight up treason. It is not the military’s authority to withhold any information from the POTUS, which they may have done with Trump. Nor is it within their power to resist an order from the POTUS, which they did with Biden. They are acting rogue at this point

  9. Cluster February 6, 2023 / 8:36 pm

We’re all starting to feel the negative effects of equity and lowered standards championed by people like Forty

‘We’re just one radio call away from having the biggest aviation disaster in history’: After ANOTHER almost catastrophic near miss at a US airport, just how can Americans trust their plane journey will be safe?

But then again, competing on a level playing field was never her strong suit

  10. Retired Spook February 6, 2023 / 8:46 pm

Interesting dynamic playing out WRT 3 Chinese spy balloons that supposedly traversed US airspace during the Trump Administration. The NORAD Commander says “they didn’t know where they were.” The Wall Street Journal describes them as “undetected.” And whoever told General Mattis about them failed to tell the director of the CIA, The Director of National Intelligence, the Secretary of State and Trump’s National Security Advisor. YCMTSU!!

    • Cluster February 6, 2023 / 8:50 pm

Was Mattis having a corn pop moment??? LMAO

      • Retired Spook February 6, 2023 / 8:52 pm

And from an article at The Blaze:

Unfortunately, it’s not clear exactly who told the media about the Chinese spy balloon incursions under Trump only to mislead reporters by conveniently omitting the fact that the incursions were not discovered until after Trump left office. The Washington Free Beacon noted the identity of the “senior defense official” could help inform the public “whether the Pentagon is also helping Biden combat the public relations crisis over the balloon.” (emphasis – mine)

The Pentagon, however, refused to identify the “senior defense official” because Saturday’s media briefing was conducted on “background” and thus was not officially on the record.

      • Retired Spook February 6, 2023 / 8:54 pm

Speaking of Mattis, do you know where he went after Trump fired him?

      • Mark Noonan February 6, 2023 / 10:49 pm

Oh, FFS – the earlier events didn’t happen. They’re making them up because they realized just how bad it looked for Pudding Brain to let the Chinese balloon amble across the whole of the United States. China wouldn’t have tried it with Trump because they knew it would provoke a response…and with Trump, that bit was incalculable. They did it to China Joe because he’s China Joe. He’s bought.

    • Cluster February 6, 2023 / 10:35 pm

You are so blind with identity politics it’s comical. The only reason the Biden admin admitted the ballon was there was because two guys in Montana reported it. You would have never known about this incident if that didn’t happen sport

    • Cluster February 7, 2023 / 8:23 am

Yes, of course honey that’s exactly what they did. And the vaccine is safe and effective. And there’s a lot of white supremacy out there. So be careful honey listen to the Biden administration and everything is gonna be OK.

      • Amazona February 7, 2023 / 1:19 pm

They are in a corner of their own making. If they didn’t see prior balloons they were incompetent. If they saw them and didn’t report them were incompetent in a different and more dangerous way. That only leaves them with the claim they did see them and did report them but the dog ate their homework.

Because there is no way Trump would let them get away with claiming they told him and he pulled a Biden and peed down his leg for a few days while the Chicoms spied on us

      • Amazona February 7, 2023 / 1:22 pm

Funny little thought balloon popped into my brain as I wrote this: The Chicoms protected their spy balloon by having it carry, in addition to its regular electronics and so on, a recording of Biden cutting a deal with them.

No way was he going to shoot it down anywhere it could be recovered.

Note to trolls: I am not saying this happened. It’s not a conspiracy theory. It’s a joke so close to reality it could be true.

  11. Cluster February 7, 2023 / 8:57 am

So let’s just pause and reflect on the last two lies the Biden admin has peddled

    1. 517,000 jobs added – Fielding rushed in to congratulate his “jobs President”, when in reality, later reports revealed that actually 250,000 full time jobs were lost and it was only the temporary “seasonally adjusted” part time jobs that got them to that number. So in reality, many good paying tech jobs were lost while Walmart added some Christmas help. And for this, they celebrated

    2. Chinese Spy balloon – The Biden admin allows a Chinese spy balloon to traverse the country sending back intel in real time and was only destroyed after completing it’s mission, and to cover their tracks, they lie about Trump. Queue Forty, who rushed in to ridicule the prior admin for their incompetence when in reality it never happened and the spy balloon that Biden finally shot down landed in water which most likely destroyed all electronics on board.

The Biden admin and their voters are ignorant narcissists with zero self awareness of their own incompetence and we all suffer because of it. The SOTU speech tonight will be littered with more lies and hate. If you would like to maintain your sanity, I highly advise not watching.
