You Should be Terrified of What They Did to Trump

Greg Gutfeld went on a bit of a tear about the latest revelations in the Trump-Russia hoax; click the link and give it a watch. His point is that the Democrats (in the largest sense – including the MSM and RINOs) built up Trump as the New Hitler and so justified any action against him. Because, after all, if you are really stopping a Hitler – a guy who proposes to kill every single person he hates and start a world war – then you really can justify just about any action to stop it; work up a phony Trump-Russia scandal or commit election fraud, you see?. This dovetails with the point I made about the latest revelations: the the same people who assure us that 2020 was legitimate were also all in on Trump-Russia even though they new from the get-go that it was a lie.

This does not prove that 2020 was stolen but because of this situation there is nobody on God’s green Earth who can credibly assert that 2020 wasn’t stolen. Everyone you can possibly rely on to tell you what happened in that strange election is tainted as a known liar or part of a system which repeatedly rewards known liars…and you’d be worse than a fool to rely on their assertions about anything. But even that isn’t really the issue we’re confronted with here. It is much larger than that.

Throughout political history there have always been shenanigans. From the lowliest mud hut village to the most impressive Imperial capitol, people have always tried to rig politics. Some of the most famed people in history are essentially famous for their ability to back the winner and then fix the race to make sure (Kaunitz of the Holy Roman Empire and Bismarck of Prussia probably stand at the top of this heap..but they are just part of a legion). What I’m saying here is that some of the things done to Trump are not new – hardly remarkable in and of themselves. But what is new – at least in the American experience – is a political party, the intelligence and law enforcement agencies, the media and a significant portion of the politician’s own party combining to destroy the politician. And not only combining to destroy the person but doing so with complete fabrications. This I don’t think has ever happened before – and it should terrify everyone.

Step back a moment and think about it: nothing Trump has ever been accused of has been proved. Even the ridiculous civil case over rape still amounts to no more than “he said/she said” without the slightest scrap of evidence that the event could have happened. But they still got a jury to nod along with at least part of the allegations. How? Because for the past 8 years, the accused has been the target of an intense series of allegations making him out to be worse than Hitler. The people in the area the trial was held do not avail themselves of unapproved media. They live in a world where the New York Times is considered the gold standard of truth. And that New York Times – and all the media, including the tiny parts not far-Left in outlook – had all been repeating the allegations for all those years over and over and over again. So, when the guy (as it were) shows up in Court, the jury knew what it had to do…it was “known” that the Orange Man is Bad and so they acted accordingly. This is actually staggering; it is the end of any concept of law in our society if it is allowed to stand.

When I said earlier that nothing against Trump has been proved, I mean nothing. For instance, we don’t even know if Trump ever had sex with Stormy Daniels; and if that happened it wasn’t against the law and in today’s post-Christian world it hardly even counts as a scandal…but we can’t even say with certainty that it happened. And yet even to this day the accusation counts against Trump and various aspects of it continue to wend their way through courts and public opinion. For goodness sake, the lawyer who led the way in bringing the allegation forward is in jail for fraud. Maybe Trump did have the affair. Billionaires are known for that sort of thing. It is certainly plausible: but neither you nor anyone you know can say for certain it did. The only people who know for certain on it are Donald Trump and Stormy Daniels…Trump denies it categorically while Daniels says it happened. And, guys, don’t forget that Stormy is on the hook for about $350,000.00 in legal fees she owes to Trump…not the sort of thing a credible accuser gets hit with.

And yet I bet that if we did a poll then we’d find north of 90% of people certain that Trump and Daniels had an affair. This is not just what a smear can do: it is what can happen when just about everyone conspires against you. Just a bit of detective work on the part of the MSM and we’d know pretty certainly if Trump and Daniels were at that Tahoe resort at the same time in 2006 and if there was a time frame in which the two could have got together. I mean, there would be hotel and room service receipts, witness statements from hotel staff…Trump being pretty well known there would be lots of people who would be keeping an eye on him and following his movements, including paparazzi (this happened when The Apprentice was hot on TV, after all). But all I can ever find about it is Daniels’ claim that it happened. Seems a little thin…and the dog that doesn’t bark here is the MSM not getting us all the lurid background details which would be available if the affair happened. So, like I said: not proved. But absolutely believed.

And so is everything else to one degree or another. And here’s the kicker: the Daniels accusation is the most credible of all the accusations. And she owes Trump hundreds of thousands of dollars for making it! Everything else Trump is accused of has even less evidence that it happened and the main accusation against him (that he’s an agent of Russia) has just been proved completely false. But, once again, people believe.

The terrifying thing here is that if they can do this to Trump – a media-savvy billionaire who can hire first rate legal talent – they can do it to anyone. Suppose Joe Blow in your town offends the Ruling Class…and then there shows up a story in the local news claiming that Joe did This Horrible Thing and that sparks an investigation and you’re sitting there watching this or that dark hint of terrible deeds by Joe leaking out and your mind starts to go, “maybe there’s something to it?”. But the truth is that Joe did nothing wrong other than offend the Ruling Class and is now being destroyed. And he’s being destroyed as an example, just like Trump is. They are letting us know that anyone who doesn’t toe the line will be destroyed. And if you’re thinking that the calm and pleasant Ron DeSantis is immune…well, they’re already calling him worse than Trump (who is, of course, worse than Hitler) and they’re lining up allegations that DeSantis had inappropriate relations with female students when he was a teacher and that he supervised torture at Gitmo. I rate these accusations as entirely non-credible. If any of them had been true, the Democrats would have broadcast them far and wide during the 2022 campaign. But we just learned that an accusation doesn’t have to be true to be effective…it just has to be backed up by all or at least most of the Powers That Be. Rely on it that Biden’s Justice Department will open an investigation into allegations of criminal activity by DeSantis if he’s the GOP nominee. It won’t matter if they’re true – they’ll simply make up whatever they think is best and you’ll see everyone – including the RINOs – swing in behind the investigation.

To be sure, maybe RDS can weather the storm. Maybe, that is, such an obviously personally pleasant person with a great family can get the public mind on his side. But you can’t be sure – and even if RDS can survive it, the problem remains that it can be attempted by the Democrats because they know that the DOJ, the CIA, the FBI and the MSM will fall in line to back up whatever RDS is accused of.

We really must dismantle this system brick by brick. Sure, the FBI and CIA need to be abolished, but it goes far beyond that. We have to find a way to punish the MSM, as well. To make them pay through the nose so they’ll learn the lesson: don’t be part of a political op. This is not something amenable to small reforms and it cant be allowed to continue; we need sledgehammer-like destruction of the institutions which created or fostered the anti-Trump effort. Because it isn’t about Trump: it is about you and me and our ability to remain free. It is either destroy them, or they’ll destroy us.

I can’t emphasize this enough, Democrats are no different now than your garden variety fanatical religious cult. They have a strict dogma they adhere to, and any lie required to support the dogma is encouraged. Let’s not forget, just last week, Rep. Comer detailed the 20 LLC’s set up by the Biden family through which $10 million from foreign adversaries were distributed to nine family members including grandchildren. Now I don’t what Joe’s grandchildren have done for Romania to earn that money but wouldn’t you think some member of the media would look into that?? It’s not been covered at all. Instead, they lie and misdirect.

I also wonder why Democrats aren’t doing more to silence people like me, since I represent an extreme and dangerous threat to the nations democracy, as the current POTUS says loud and clear every chance he gets. Aren’t they doing this country a great disservice to allow such a threat to exist? Or are they lying about that too?

The only reason why there is such panic that Trump may win in 2024, is because they all know he won in 2020.

Thank you for the Cult talking points. Here’s some info on the report from Durham himself as reported by ABC News:

“Our investigation … revealed that senior FBI personnel displayed a serious lack of analytical rigor toward the information that they received, especially information received from politically affiliated persons and entities,” Durham wrote in his report. “In particular, there was significant reliance on investigative leads provided or funded (directly or indirectly) by Trump’s political opponents. The Department did not adequately examine or question these materials and the motivations of those providing them before opening a full-scale investigation. In short, it is the Office’s assessment that the FBI discounted or willfully ignored material information that did not support the narrative of a collusive relationship between Trump and Russia,” the report says. “An objective and honest assessment of these strands of information should have caused the FBI to question not only the predication for Crossfire Hurricane, but also to reflect on whether the FBI was being manipulated for political or other purposes. Unfortunately, it did not.”

The FBI willfully neglected all exculpatory evidence and NEVER told Trump that the basis of the investigation was paid for by the Clinton campaign.

Now gong back to your comical assertion, why then did Democrat members of Congress like Schiff, Nadler, Pelosi, etc. run to the tv microphones everyday to declare Trump was 100% guilty. Why was the media reporting every single fucking day throughout Trumps Presidency, that he was guilty of collusion and was an illegitimate President? Could that be construed as obstructing democracy, or better yet an insurrection.

Everyday you prove your allegiance to a fanatical climate religious cult. It’s weird to watch.

In the wake of the Durham report, it’s vitally important to never forget how they treated Trump, exactly what Mark is emphasizing. From the FBI, to the Democrats members of the House and Senate, but particularly the media. Never once did any of them suggest that all the accusations were “alleged”, nor did they suggest that the “allegations” warrant an “assessment”, as Forty has comically pointed out. NOPE. They emphatically declared Trump to be guilty every chance they had, meaning THEY LIED every chance they had, and this went on for four years. Four years of lies.

Additionally, let’s never forget how the unvaccinated were treated by these same Cult members, and I am one of those unvaccinated. I was labeled as an extremist, as selfish, as a danger to society, and basically harangued and lectured to by everyone. All because I wouldn’t fall in line and obey the Cults marching orders. The destruction the Democrats, the FBI, and the NIH have willfully inflicted on this country is immeasurable.

My personal opinion of the United States of America has fallen dramatically in the last 3 years. This is really a f***ed up country. Nothing is built, nothing is better, and nothing is back. In fact, life in the United States is precipitously worse than it was just 25 years ago. And the fanatical religious climate cult, aka the Democrat Party, aided and abetted by the larger American Oligarchy continues to treat the American people as cannon fodder.

Still clinging to the cult narrative huh? Good luck

      • Mark Noonan's avatar Mark Noonan May 17, 2023 / 2:57 pm

The official Narrative has been set and it is “nothingburger”. That’s what they’re going to go with because with Justice under full Democrat control, they know that nothing can be done to the miscreants…and they figure by 2025 even if there’s a GOP Administration, it won’t want to rake over this. Even a Trump Administration wouldn’t – likely couldn’t because the people at Justice and FBI simply wouldn’t move on it.

But, here’s the thing – something does have to be done. Here’s how it should be done:

The US Marshall’s can still “form a posse”, as it were – IOW, they can still deputize people who are not employees of federal law enforcement. So, if we do get a GOP President, a person of high MAGA quality should be made head of the service…and then deputize deep Red State police and DA people and have them go after the criminals in the bureaucracy. The key here is that they would be outsiders…but vested with the full law enforcement power of the United States. Basically, it is getting a bunch of *us* to investigate *them*. For once it will be our people digging through their lives and dragging them through the court system at huge expense even if we can’t get a conviction. Let them know that we can, at least a times, make their lives a living hell.

And you do it on the sly – if announced at all, its announced as merely “people being deputized to assist the Marshall’s service”. Don’t tell anyone why until arrests start being made.

      • Cluster's avatar Cluster May 17, 2023 / 3:19 pm

That’s an excellent idea. We do need to take the legal fight to them and that’s a good approach. I mean if Jean Carroll can get $5 million out of Trump for defamation, shouldn’t Trump be able to sue the media, Adam Schiff, Nancy Pelosi, etc for character defamation?? I would think so

      • Amazona's avatar Amazona May 18, 2023 / 12:13 am

Even a Trump Administration wouldn’t – likely couldn’t because the people at Justice and FBI simply wouldn’t move on it.

Well, they fall under the jurisdiction of the Executive Branch, so if Trump had his ducks in a row and a lineup of law and order types ready to go he could replace the AG and the head of the FBI and probably go several layers deeper than the top to prune the agency down to its productive level and do a pretty clean sweep in one day. Preferably Day One of his new presidency.

One day of document-signing, reversing the Executive Orders of Biden and reinstating his own and slashing the management of the Justice Department and the FBI would do more in a few short hours to put this nation back on course than anything I can think of. Then he could go after the Bureaucratic State. Remember, the expanded authority of the EPA was created by Bill Clinton in an Executive Order and a new EO could rescind this and put decision-making back in the hands of Congress where it belongs. A flurry of EOs stripping every agency of its assumed legislative power would shake the Deep State to its very core. Though it is embedded, and powerful, its existence is based on the shaky foundations of (1) Executive Orders, not legislation, and (2) apathy or indolence as their increasing flexing of assumed power has been overlooked and tolerated.

(If we really wanted to have fun, and if we had the votes, Congress could jump in while the Deep State is still reeling and pass a Fair Tax law, essentially gutting the IRS by substituting a consumption tax for the income tax. (That is, truly SUBSTITUTING, making it impossible to add on an income-based tax later.) Add 17% to the cost of everything but food and medicine and start taxing people on what they spend, not what they make. Put control of their finances back in the hands of people who work for a living. Collect taxes at point of sale, and reduce the IRS to mere watchdogs looking for businesses that don’t collect these taxes. )

More on the FBI. It now looks like the agency has been targeting whistleblowers. (Pause for expression of shock and disbelief.)

This is a good time to visit the wayback machine. Remember the hysteria about the violation of the Espionage Act when Vindman reported the content of a Trump phone call to someone who did not have the security clearance to be told this, who then made it public, resulting in the massive kerfluffle and subsequent impeachment hearing? At the time the identity of the person making this classified information public was hidden, under the guise that he was a “whistleblower”. Never mind that he did not fit the actual definition of the word—before the Left started to use the word “fluidity” about gender it routinely put it into play when it came to semantic manipulation.

Anyway, there was much hysteria about the very idea that the name of this person might be made public, with threats of prosecution for anyone who dared to do so., because he had the sacred and wholly protected identity of “whistleblower”. We were treated to endless lectures on the sanctity of this identity.

OK, so now it’s 2023 and that selfsame FBI, the protector of whistleblowing and those who engage in it, is using its might and power to go after REAL whistleblowers. Of course, the whistle being blown is about the corruption and malfeasance of the FBI, so they must be punished and silenced.

What did WB #1 do to deserve this treatment? Evidently the worst of his sins was straying from the only approved narrative path. According to the FBI its own self, he (gasp!) espoused an alternative narrative about the events at the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021, Get a rope!

Or, alternatively, revoke his security clearance, which basically means he can’t do his job.

Another whistleblower has received the same treatment, for essentially the same things. He was suspended for espousing “‘conspiratorial views in regard to the events of January 6th’. He is not only suspended but prevented from finding other work, because ” the FBI did not give him approval to seek outside employment during his suspension.”

So much for protecting whistleblowers, Of course, as we now have proved to us, it all depends on what whistle is being blown. A complaint about the second target of the retaliation asserted “ “Another example included an email containing a link to a website that stated, among other things, ‘By now it’s clear that federal law enforcement had some degree of infiltration among the crowds gathered at the Capitol on January 6,’ to which Mr. Allen (WB #2) commented, ‘brings up serious concerns about USG participation.’”

Gotta keep a tight lid clamped down on any information or even discussion of anything not totally in line with the official narrative, I guess. Or so goes the ideology of the Federal Bullying Institute

      • Amazona's avatar Amazona May 17, 2023 / 10:36 pm

The subject line of this post indicated that it was a link, so I looked at it, and found a very funny though impassioned effort to portray the illusion of an analysis dissecting the Durham report. I’m not sure where this came from but it could have been subtitled “I’m not a lawyer and don’t have access to any of the information that Durham had but this is what I think he should have done with the bits and pieces I think I do know and I don’t think he did it right and it pisses me off”.

Then there’s lots of argy-bargy about things that were never important, were played up at the time as if they were crucial and then wholly explained and rebutted as meaningless. Such as a vague reference to a vague reference by some unnamed Italian source about something that kind of sounded like it might have indicated wrongdoing by Trump. Durham and Barr looked into it but the author is big mad because they didn’t find anything or drag it into the report. WHY DIDN’T THEY DISCUSS THIS INVESTIGATION ????? (I’m guessing it turned out, if it existed at all, to be par with the bar gossip that formed the core of the Steele Dossier. Somebody was overheard saying something.) Such as the meeting at Trump Towers. This “analysis” breathlessly refers to it, whines that it was not addressed until some time after it took place (I’m not going back to do a direct quote) and went on to some other complaint, without reference to the explanations provided at the time. It was brought up as if it were significant and then abruptly dropped without the important final analysis of what really happened or what it meant.

The whole thing was a compilation of overwrought emoting about random bits and pieces of gossip and complaints that Durham just didn’t pay enough attention to them. Of course we don’t know what he thought about them or how much attention he did pay, but the fact that they played no role in his final assessment indicates that he found them insignificant. And that is what the empty head wheel is fretting about, with great indignation.

And that is what it amounts to—-indignation and, no doubt, outrage, at the fact that the report doesn’t say what the foaming-at-the-mouth Left wants it to say. Poor babies. They had better get used to it because there is a lot more coming down the pike that will no doubt upset them even more.

Seemingly undeterred by their failures on every single front, the climate cult alarmists are at it again:

Never mind the fact that we are just coming out of one of the longest, coldest, and wettest winters in history, the cult members are once again using their agenda to stoke fear. The “experts” have assured us that. Never mind the fact that those “experts” have been wrong about everything.

I’ve lost track of the number of times since the mid-1980s that some “climate expert” has predicted we only have 10 years left to save the planet. You’d think they’d learn their lesson, but, as you say, when their predictions don’t come true, they just ignore them, knowing the agenda media will cover for them.

We’ve commented on the fact that the hysteria about us all freezing to death in ten or twelve years has been ignored, and replaced with hysteria about us all dying due to heat in the same number of years but a couple of decades later—but both outcomes due to the same causes and demanding the same fixes.

What’s funny is that the former is far more likely to be true than the latter, as science (REAL science, that is) indicates a cooling trend in our future, which has been described as a new Little Ice Age.

Why do we hate the New York Times? Well, here’s the latest reason, hard on the heels of its whining about the Durham Report: About a Texas bill prohibiting the use of puberty blockers and sex reassignment surgery on minors.

The bill bans hormone and puberty blocking treatments, as well as surgeries for transgender children. The legislation was one of several proposals aimed at regulating the lives of transgender people being considered this year by the Republican-dominated Legislature.

Wahh wahh wahh! Those eeeevil wascawwy Wepubwicans, always trying to REGULATE THE LIVES of people!

But just who is regulating which lives, New York Times? Isn’t taking drastic, life-altering action to permanently change the body of a child who is, regarding other decisions, legally deemed to be too young, a pretty dramatic way of regulating his or her life?

And BTW, there is no such thing as a “transgender child”. There are children who are convinced that they can change who and what they are, but no child is mature enough to truly understand, much less agree to, the lifelong effects of what adults are trying to push onto them.

If children are to be considered mature enough to decide they want to be permanently infertile, with significant parts of their bodies chopped off and the very structure of their complex system of hormones altered, why stop there? Why not let them drive, own guns, smoke, get tattoos and vote?

Only the increasingly loony Left can reframe the passive allowing of a human body to develop naturally as an effort to REGULATE it.

The vileness of the Left should not be surprising by now, yet it still comes as a shock sometimes. I think this is the first era in which the Left has boldly come and said, in so many words, it wants to sexualize our children while maiming them for life, all in the name of Leftist political agendas.

Thank you. I have made the comment on Twitter several times that “anyone who uses trans and kids in the same sentence, has an agenda and should be investigated.” And it’s actually hard to believe that we now have to ask Democrats to leave children alone, but that’s where we are.

We’ll probably never know if the demand for remote working was designed to have long lasting results, meaning much less office space is required meaning a downturn in commercial real estate values, or if this is just another of the Unintended Consequences of poorly thought-out Leftist policies. Then you add that to the discouraging of business by encouraging crime and you have a Perfect Storm of a collapse of commercial real estate.

Of course, the Left’s response is to say “That’s great—more places to house the homeless!” Then they cram mentally ill people in together and wonder why there is so much rape, assault and murder. And of course there isn’t money for upkeep and maintenance, so soon the city is cluttered with decrepit buildings that have to be rebuilt or torn down.

The Left really should be relegated to just observing, while the adults in the room do the actual governing.
