I do have to point out that Donald Trump has been fairly ridiculous of late. Some of his statements and actions have been downright absurd. Thus far it hasn’t made a dent in his GOP Primary support…but my bet is that if he doesn’t get hold of this stuff it will. OTOH, DeSantis has also had some miscues. This is why a Primary is a good thing; whoever emerges with the prize will have earned it.
My position remains the same: I will support the nominee. There is no GOPer who is in any way the moral or intellectual inferior of any Democrat. Even supposing every bad thing said about Trump is true – and further stating that supposing every bad thing said about Biden is false – it is still no contest. Somewhere in Trump’s heart is the understanding that such things as abortion to birth, transition of minors and open borders are objectively evil and must be stopped. In Biden’s heart there is no such understanding – nor is there such understanding in the heart of any Democrat. The Democrat party proposes to push us into a world of complete lunacy where obvious facts are denied in service of ideological goals. It is the moral duty not of Republicans and not even of Americans to vote GOP…it the the moral duty of every human, as such. There is no evading this one: if the Democrats retain power for much longer, this nation will be destroyed. The stakes are that high. There can’t be any compromise…and no faltering of our will. Nominate Romney and I’ll vote for him. Anyone is better than any Democrat.
There has been a surprisingly large amount of pushback against “Pride” this year. In previous years we just laughed at it and moved on but this year there is a sharper edge to it. People are tired of it – and angry that everyone is being told to fall in line.
Bottom line: gay is boring. We don’t care. Be gay. Have fun. But we don’t need to know you’re gay. And it is perceived that the sort of gay people most of us know – regular, rather boring folks who just live, work and pay taxes like anyone else – aren’t being celebrated. The celebrations are always of the most absurd and/or disgusting people. So much so that I’m starting to wonder if a bunch of weirdos have de-facto hijacked homosexuality because it allows them to be freaks without any fear of censure? Crazy people crave attention and approval…and if you’ll do something disgusting in public and call it gay, you’ll not only not get arrested, you’ll be called a hero. That sort of thing is an irresistible attraction for the narcissistic lunatic. They simply wouldn’t pass on the opportunity.
NYPD had their cop cars painted up in “Pride” colors and it looks like the artist managed to sneak in the anti-cop “ACAB” logo. This is enormously funny. Leftists never forgive.
Hunter Biden’s lawyers will apparently argue that the gun laws Hunter violated were unconstitutional. And, to be sure, they are: as I’ve noted before, “Shall not be infringed” is pretty straightforward. It doesn’t have any wiggle room. Any law restricting any person – and that is citizen or not – from keeping and bearing any arm they choose is a violation of the Constitution. But it is annoying that Liberals are such complete hypocrites.

You are starting to wonder if a bunch of weirdos have de-facto hijacked homosexuality because it allows them to be freaks without any fear of censure and I have to agree. Not that I doubt the sexual degeneracy of these freaks, but I’ve often thought that the sex was secondary to the freak.
The glee with which some gays flaunt their homosexuality and try to be outrageous and shocking has always told me that their true motivation has been to get attention, and the gay persona has provided a cover for that.
We all know gay people – heck, my wife’s closest cousin is gay…he’s just a guy. Nice. Friendly. Intelligent. With the same guy like 40 years or some such. Its not like we sit around the table talking about our sex lives. Like normal people we’ll talk about a new movie, a sports contest, how idiotic the government is, how taxes and prices are too high…normal human stuff.
These freaking weirdos out there made up like carnival clowns…they aren’t normal in any sense of the word and they should not be tolerated in public.
The ploy of the Left is to pretend that being offended by the crude, rude and disgusting antics of the freaks means being “anti-gay”. I was in the hospitality industry for years, and knew a lot of gays, mostly men. Some were just guys who liked guys and some were flamboyant and interested in shock value.
Even those who liked to shock and offend didn’t go so far as to demean and ridicule women through mockery, which is so prevalent now with the “drag queen” fad coupled with (not to imply anything….) the trans fad. I think it’s that ugly underbelly of anti-woman sentiment that is so offensive to me. While I don’t like it, the fact is that sometimes I cuss like a sailor, and I am not offended by most raunchy humor if it’s truly funny and not just dirty, or language. I think it has its place and don’t like it is large doses, but I don’t get all fluttery about it. I am not easily offended.
But the attack on womanhood is deeply upsetting to me, far more so than the old casual sexual bigotry of calling women “dames” and so on. That was just out there, and I seldom found anything truly hostile or demeaning about it. But the multi-pronged assault of (1) women not able to take responsibility for their sexuality, (2) woman being strident advocates of the moral, cultural and societal abomination that is abortion, which reduces them to mere sex toys, (3) refusing to even define womanhood or use feminine pronouns, (4) destroying the ability of women to compete in sports against other women and the associated benefits of scholarships, status, etc. and (5) gleefully supporting and applauding the mockery of feminine stereotypes all are indicative of a societal and moral cancer that is eating away at us as a nation.
Homosexuality never did that.
This, the second in a list of attacks on the nation by the Left in an article by David Solway, relates to my observation about the attack on women:
The attack on the family: The problem for the Left is that the family is a traditional dynamic that transcends the authority of the political state, not only because it encourages a prior allegiance, but because it allows for inheritance and property rights. This is anathema to the Marxist vision of the centralized, property-owning and all-encompassing state. The Marxist offensive against the monogamous union of a man and a woman is seen as the means by which to destabilize the family, and thus to destroy the democratic state root and branch.
Weakening and feminizing men and destroying the very concept of women are part of the effort to destroy the family.
I always said the three biggest threats to the Left were religion, the family and edcuation. But now that they control education they can focus on destroying the ability for us to identify, or function as a sovereign nation.
Pride, or in other words vanity, is a sin. One of the seven deadly sins in fact, and I also ask people all the time on Twitter, “why are you celebrating someone else’s sexuality?” – isn’t that kind of creepy?? To me it is. You see all these pride flags displayed by people who don’t purport to be gay, yet they feel the need to celebrate someones sexuality. It’s bizarre when you think about it. Real gay people, don’t support the trans freaks. Real Americans don’t support Democrat neurosis. And real parents, don’t support abortion.
Remember when Democrats would declare that one person killed by “gun violence” was too many? Well here we have migrant girls and women being trafficked and raped at the border, and Democrats claim that the border is “not open” and there is an orderly process. I guess one raped woman isn’t enough. We also have sexual experimentation on young children going on leading some of them to be mass shooters or suicidal. I guess one dead child isn’t enough.
Democrats are not normal people. Their agenda is not normal. Their thinking is not normal. Their actions are certainly not normal. America needs to go back to being normal. The freak show is over with.
And let’s never forget that the FBI is currently concealing a document that proves the Democrat President committed treason. Try and find that story in the American media, and that’s all you need to know about the wholly corrupt American “democracy”.
That Glenn Beck show I recommended (Thursday morning) went into the collapse of our entire judicial and legal system, and what that means for the future of the country.
Think about this: The President is the head of the Executive Branch and therefore the ultimate boss of the FBI. That means a president could, with a stroke of his pen, wipe out the top four or five levels of the FBI. At the same time he could get rid of the Attorney General and as many in that agency as necessary. And you wonder why the FBI is working so hard to keep Trump out of the White House? They seem to think Trump is the only one who could or would do this.
You guys might play Fantasy Football—I play Fantasy Government. So my team would be:
President: Ron DeSantis
Speaker of the House: Donald Trump
Head of the FBI: Rudy Giuliani, till a new FBI administration could be established
Attorney General: Ted Cruz or Mike Lee
This alone would be, as the British say, putting the cat among the pigeons. On the same day, in an Executive Order signing extravaganza, I would relocate nearly every federal agency—BLM back to Colorado, Ag back to Missouri, and the others scattered around the country. And I would appoint a new head for every one, with the task of studying the original charter of each agency and determining what would have to be done to get that agency back into compliance with its charter and not expanded to take on other authority. This would include examining every rule or regulation imposed by each agency to determine if it constituted legislation, and a requirement that all new rules and regs be legislated property, by Congress, and not merely mandated by the agency. Basically appoint an auditor for each agency, with at least some of the powers of a receiver.
This would not destroy the Deep State, but it would hamstring it and severely restrict its powers.
My new AG would hit the ground running with indictments of Hillary Clinton, Vindman and the guy he talked to about the Trump phone call, and anyone else who has revealed confidential and/or classified information smug in the knowledge that this country just doesn’t care any more.
And the new Commander in Chief would clean house, purging flag officers who no longer have military-oriented mission focus.
I can only think of one person who could do this as president. Ron DeSantis has shown that he can not only put together tough and focused staff but staff that can keep its collective mouth shut, so he would be the most likely person to be able to plan all of this in advance and be ready to execute on Day One. He has his old connections in the military/legal worlds, both separately and where they intersect, along with knowledge and experience with the legal and government worlds and where they intersect.
AND…he has already put forth bills, when in the House, to basically get rid of the IRS as we know it by eliminating the income tax and going to a Fair Tax. Accomplishing this, along with assuming control of the agencies would essentially destroy the Deep State, if the FBI were sanitized.
What’s the pattern of all this? Electing the right president.
My point is, I think a major turnaround could take place very quickly if we can only take the presidency back and hold Congress. I think that in spite of the predictable hysteria at such sweeping actions at the beginning of a presidency the effects would prove to be very acceptable as time goes on.
Just playing devil’s advocate, because I agree with what you’ve said, but what do you think would happen to DeSantis (or anyone else) who ran on the platform you outlined? The agenda media and the deep state would go absolutely batsh*t crazy and would throw everything including the kitchen sink at that candidate.
I don’t mean running on this, with any degree of detail or specificity. That would be suicide. Just enough about the Deep State, the Bureaucratic State, and FBI corruption, some comments about the future of the nation if our legal and justice systems collapse, would be enough. I know I am naive and don’t gave the depth of knowledge needed to grasp all the nuances of something like this, but….
If the Deep State’s heart is the bureaucracy, then it can be controlled. Let’s say that Candidate A has his ducks in a row, and on Inauguration Day he goes directly to his new office and starts signing EOs. So he slashes the budget of the EPA, appoints a receiver/auditor, and moves it to Nashville, effective immediately, to occupy temporary offices till permanent office space can be developed. And he’s got the same set of documents ready to sign for every other federal agency. One of these EOs for each agency is the directive that no new rules or regs can be approved without the participation of Congress, and another would be that refusal to comply with the EO’s is cause for immediate dismissal.
Another stack of papers deals with firing the head of the FBT and whatever other officials need to go, and appointing a new interim head. Here’s where some muscle would be called for—changing locks, changing access codes, cutting off al electronic access, and cleaning out desks. This would be more aggressive than the agency moves, because these LEOs are used to being the boss, being in charge, and will not take kindly to being abruptly fired and locked out of offices, etc. If there are any criminal charges to be filed, this would be a good time to arrest a couple of people, just to give the rest of them something to think about.
And another stack deals with changes in the Attorney General’s office. I believe it was Obama who demanded the resignation of every AG when he took office, and then reviewed the roster to decide who to keep. It’s been done.
In my fantasy version, this is all kept secret. The papers are filed away for the night, the new pres and his wife hit some inaugural balls, and the next morning he has an hour-long speech to the nation where he reveals these changes and explains why they are necessary. That the core structure of our government has become so distorted that it has very little in common with the one created by the Founders and explained in the Constitution. Agencies have assumed legislative powers, and are too often influenced if not actually controlled by lobbyists and special interests. The FBI has become corrupt and as every act of theirs that is a violation of trust and even of the law is ignored they just get more blatant. That we have become a nation of multi-tiered justice, with different demographics being treated differently, and this has to stop if we are going to survive as a nation. And so on With the big message being that this degeneration of our political system has been incremental and most of all, secret. But that the corrections being made are public, are transparent, and that every Executive Order is on a web site where anyone can see any EO that was signed along with an explanation of why it was necessary and what legalities support it.
If that all hit at once, I think there would be so much volume of stuff to freak out the Left they wouldn’t know where to start, and a preemptive strike in announcing it all at once, explaining it and making the whole process is transparent would help deflect a lot of the noise. The Left will freak anyway, but they will attack no matter who it is or what he or she does, so this kind of all falls into “might as well be hanged for a sheep as a lamb”. Yank the bandaid off and deal with the howling.
And going into another term four years down the pike, with nothing substantive done, would just be a waste of the energy it took to get elected. and send the message to the Left that we are weak and all they have to do is wait us out.
Something like that has to be done. A revolution.
We all used to by and large trust the institutions as they presented themselves as neutral arbiters. But we should have known better – the allegedly professional and non-partisan civil service was created by Progressives and nobody creates a Frankenstein. It was made to advance the Progressive agenda from the get-go. It has just become more brazen over the past few years.
We must understand that there are no non-partisan people. All law is an imposition of morality. All education is indoctrination. Once we understand this then we’ll know that when we have power, we have to ensure our people run the show, that the laws impose our morality and the schools indoctrinate our beliefs.
I am talking about a revolution, but an orderly and legal one based on restoring the Constitution and doing it according to the rule of law. Doing it fast, not giving the Left time to try to head it off so all they can do is respond after the fact, being bold and decisive, but explaining as it progresses that the rise in power of the Bureaucratic State was stealthy and sneaky, while the corrections are bold, public and transparent.
And it would have to be followed up with muscular acts by Congress—eliminating the Civil Service Act, changing to a Fair Tax, things that would back up the original effort.
You should lay all that out in a letter, position paper, etc., and send it to the DeSantis campaign.
Ron DeSantis is so far ahead of me, I doubt that I could offer him any advice.

Read today that a hotel in San Francisco valued at $1.6 billion and under only $800 million in debt was abandoned…ownership said, “here bank: all yours”.
Think about that: supposedly the debt on it was only half the value but rather than sell it…they just walked away. Means:
1. They can’t make any money off what is high end hotel in a supposedly nice area of SF.
2. It effectively has no value because no matter what the price, nobody would buy it.
It not only can’t make money, it is hemorrhaging money daily in utility costs, interest costs, all costs of keeping it open such as labor costs, etc.—and that’s assuming the city has not packed it with “the homeless” and/or illegal aliens.
If the leaders of the Left spent a weekend working out a plan to destroy our nation, this would be it. Isolate the factors that make the nation strong—national identity (borders), rule of law, strong economy independence, culture of family and religion, optimism, the foundation of a strong Constitution, etc.—and directly attack each element.
We are now a country that does not believe we can elect our own representation because we have lost faith in the integrity of our electoral process. We no longer believe that we are a nation of laws as elites break the law with no concern for penalty and mobs run rampant while political prisoners are kept in isolation for more than a year without trials. While we have remnants of a free press it is miniscule and under constant attack, limited to AM radio and the Internet, and it took a billionaire from South Africa to open up at least one major avenue of access to the public. We now have our major corporations essentially under the control of the government, as the government directives such as DEI dictate who will be allowed to succeed. Our educational systems no longer focus on teaching the core elements of education but are mere political and cultural indoctrination centers, churning out graduates who can’t read or write or understand math but who are reliable soldiers for the Cause. We are losing our very identity as a sovereign nation as our borders are under attack from within as much as from without and we have ceded the ability to even try to defend them. Our culture is being eroded by the promotion of the barbarism of human sacrifice (abortion) and degeneracy.
This has all been somewhat gradual and incremental, at ;least until the past two year. We are now seeing our great cities topple, as if bombed. San Francisco is the first to totally disintegrate, but Los Angeles is not far behind, and New York City is more and more a hellhole with its mayor now talking about housing illegal immigrants (lured here by the promises of the Left) in private homes, after taking over hotels. When he talked about using billions of federal dollars allotted to expenses of illegal aliens to pay people to take them into their homes, not a word was said about the admission that the federal government (which used to be OUR government!) is allotting billions of dollars to house, feed and care for people here illegally.
One of the hallmarks of Leftism is its manipulation of language, as Orwell so brilliantly illustrated. So now we are seeing Mayor Adams in NYC, as he explains his idea of using our tax dollars to continue to pay for the expenses of people here only because they broke the law and illegally crossed our border, describing them as “immigrants” and “asylum seekers”.
Both are lies. But both lies are staples of the Left’s semantic infiltration of our language.
Asylum is reserved for people who have legitimate fears of political retribution in their own nations. It does not mean fleeing from poverty. But the word implies a desperate need to avoid official actions by hostile governments. so has the emotional content needed to appeal to Leftists here, who operate solely on emotional reactions.
An illegal alien is someone who is here illegally, after violating our immigration laws. He is not a “migrant”, nor an “undocumented” anything, and is certainly not an “asylum seeker”. He is a criminal.
I haven’t seen any comments on the fact that Adams is talking not just about putting criminals, here illegally, without the slightest hint of vetting for criminal histories or gang affiliation, into private homes but about the fact that nearly all of the “asylum seekers” are healthy young men.
It is accelerating – because there is nobody in charge. An Obama or Clinton would ride herd and make sure that the Left kept it slow and incremental. But with a senile puppet at the top, the Left is running wild.
The International Left has always been tightly disciplined, with a coherent long game in play. It has understood the need for incremental advancement, and has been patient, slowly building on each success.
But the American Left is unruly, undisciplined and rowdy, and has taken a few minor successes as license to run amok. They are not only being so outrageous they are creating pushback, they are bragging about their agendas and goals. I think its biggest mistake has been to identify itself so strongly with the LGBT-Whatevers, a collection of mentally ill people without a hint of true political ideology who just want to be offensive.
It worked to have the Democrat base ignorant of, and indifferent to, the true political structure of the Left, as long as it remained compliant and easily led into Identity Politics and obediently voting against the latest identified Wrong Guy. That way they didn’t have to get into annoying questions about why has every Leftist government in history failed, after creating economic misery and eroding personal liberty—all they had to do was create an Invented Other and declare that it must be destroyed.
But the sudden explosion of the Sex Freak contingent, which was supposed to be the Dems’ example of tolerance, into an uncontrolled and uncontrollable hot mess of purposely offensive acting-out and degeneracy has started to turn a lot of people away from the party. Not enough, not yet, but the party has several tigers by the tail and doesn’t know what to do with any of them.
It’s got Kamala Harris—can’t hang on to her, but letting go will stir accusations of racism and sexism. It’s got the Freak Shows—can’t keep identifying with them, but cutting them loose opens doors to howls of all sorts of discrimination. It’s got not just Joe Biden and his spiraling senility, it’s got the whole Biden Crime Family—can’t cut him loose yet because that will mean making Kammy president, but keeping him is creating all sorts of new problems. J6 is blowing up in their faces, old information about the election fraud is being confirmed by the Postal Service, the FBI is turning into a liability more than a weapon, and someone is going to start playing Jenga with all the pieces the Left has been stacking up.

Most of the article is about the utterly stupid missteps of Trump and his team as they make totally debunkable claims. For example, they show a DeSantis table in Iowa with no one there, next to a photo of a Trump table with a few people lined up to get brochures, etc. But the DeSantis photo was taken right after the table was set up, before the event opened. These rookie mistakes, rooted in pure spite and malice with no concern for fairness or reality, are going to keep hurting Trump, along with his name calling. And now it looks like the vaxx damages are going to start haunting him.

That’s just it. His ego simply will not let him admit he was wrong. As I said a year or so ago, he needed to buy some network air time and get out ahead of this, say he made a mistake and if he had still been in office he could have corrected it, and go on to savage Biden because Biden knew and continued the program.
There is nothing wrong with an executive taking the advice of the experts he trusts to give him good information. That’s why we hire consultants and experts. No president can know everything he needs to know about medicine, or anything else for that matter. There would have been little criticism for him admitting that Fauci, et al, were wrong and that he was lied to and generally misled about the “vaccines”. As the Dems continued to push the Covid Panic and the drugs, they wouldn’t really be in a position to attack him for his early positions.
He did, after all, suggest therapeutics, so he would be on solid ground there. He had a plethora of weapons to use—lockdowns, continued masking, corruption and collusion between government and Big Pharma, media collusion, dictatorial abuse of power in forcing people to take a dangerous drug or lose their jobs, harm to children by closing schools, economic damage, etc.
A cleverer man would have used this to not only totally destroy the entire Biden administration, but to point out the downstream damage done to the nation by the election-rigging of the Dems. He had a perfect multi-layered campaign handed to hm, and he has dismissed it because it would require him admitting that he made a mistake.
And now there is a good chance that DeSantis will pick up that fumble and take it into the end zone, using it to damage Biden and Trump together. And now DeSantis can argue that even if Trump had been returned to office he would have followed the same disastrous path Biden did.

But, but, but… they said there was no fraud. Anyone who denies that there was fraud in the 2020 and 2022 elections is either a fool or a hack. Saying things like, “the courts never found any” totally dismisses the volume of sworn testimony by a significant number of individuals, not to mention state representatives and courts by-passed or ignored law that circumvented legal processes . While I don’t claim to know how much fraud actually occurred, it was, without question, significant enough to change the outcome in several contests.
