On vacation for the next few days!

But, I won’t leave you hanging.

First off: Book VII: Empress will release on June 15th. If you haven’t started the Mirrors series, you can pick it up with Book VI: Heirs. This is because in Heirs the story line starts to be taken over by the children of our heroes – but, don’t fret: the original heroes still play big roles!

They hosted a “pride” event at the White House and relegated Old Glory to a supporting role. This is simply un-American. Our flag always takes primacy…but the new secular religion of our government admits of no equals.

Now, lets lighten it up:

This is a scathing and, unfortunately, accurate assessment. I recommend reading every word and archiving this article, because it may prove to be prophetic and in any case is an important warning.

At the end, however, is a glimmer of hope, which I have stated myself: it can be fixed quickly with a real leader who clears out the Pentagon deadwood.

I read this article too this morning and have to agree. This current trend of our government is so easily discerned with just an average understanding of history and I think a lot of people are waking up to this fact. This is how societies collapse … when a government starts demonizing segments of the population. Happened in the Soviet Union, in China, in Russia, in Iran, in Venezuela, etc., etc.

You have to wonder that if they truly believe in what they say, why wouldn’t they become violent? They have publicly declared that Trump and MAGA are a direct threat to the United States, so why haven’t they declared war on us? Do they believe what they say?

It’s uncanny how, every time I leave for a few days (a visit to the daughter in Michigan), the sh*t hits the fan. I didn’t watch TV, didn’t listen to the radio, didn’t touch a computer for 5 days, and barely looked at my phone, so I didn’t know Trump had been indicted until I got home last night. I’ve spent a good portion of the day deleting emails.

The extent to which Schlichter is right will depend on where you live, but, in general, I think he’s probably right. In areas (even in blue states) where there is a constitutionally strong county sheriff, the forces of evil will have a tough time.

I think a couple of things would come into play if our military were ordered to fire on Americans in a politically motivated civil war. One would be that those “Americans” are the people the military went to school with, dated, played football against, are not just faceless Americans but mom and dad and aunts and uncles and neighbors. That would be a huge ask. It would demand either a radically disciplined and dedicated obedience to authority or a radical commitment to a cause that would be served by obeying these orders.

The other is that the American Left is, by and large, ideologically barren. What passes for political conviction for the vast majority of American Leftists is some vague concept of free stuff without having to work for it and mindless antagonism against an Invented Other. Those might provide a nudge when it comes to marking a ballot, or penning some overheated screed on a blog, but they don’t prove much of a motivation to make the huge leap of killing people.

Those Scott Adams comic strips are excellent.

So it turns out that shoving political garbage down peoples throats wasn’t good for business … who knew?

American companies have reduced mentions of ‘environmental, social and governance,’ ‘ESG,’ ‘diversity, equity and inclusion,’ ‘DEI’ or ‘sustainability’ in earnings calls. There has been a noticeable drop of around 30 percent in the last year alone based on an analysis of US-listed company’s earnings calls. Companies are still actively pursuing sustainability initiatives but being more cautious about their public messaging.
