I guess there is some coup-like activity going on in Russia at the moment – nobody really knows what is going on but it appears that Putin’s Wagner mercenaries are angry and they are claiming they are heading to Moscow to wipe out the Ministry of Defense. Could be a host of things running from a fake coup set up by Putin to consolidate power and eliminate enemies all the way to a real coup attempt. In a few days, we’ll know. Meanwhile, the Ukrainians should be attacking all along the line right now with whatever they’ve got – if it is a real coup attempt. Because if it is, they’d likely find a demoralized enemy in front of them who might collapse at a blow. But if they keep just slogging it out with the Russian army in their counter-offensive as for the past couple weeks, then it means at least Ukrainian intel doesn’t think its a real coup.

I started saying during the J6 hearings that they were trying to criminalize freedom of speech and assembly when they started dragging people in for depositions to grill them on what Trump had said and if they agreed or not, which was basically an effort to convey the impression that some thoughts, and expression of some thoughts, and association with some people who had and expressed some thoughts, all constituted crimes of some sort.
Their attitude was clearly that Trump simply did not have the Constitutional right to have or express an opinion they didn’t like.
I think the legislature should be prosecuted for making so many people feel threatened by this law.

It is bizarre how committed that demographic is to abortion – I can only imagine its because they were routinely pumped and dumped when young and so figured they needed abortion…after all, if you’re screwing the boss for a promotion that goes out the window if you wind up pregnant.
They just leave the humanity out of it. I had a friend who counseled women who had had abortions and were suffering from crippling guilt and sadness afterward, and the general pattern was that they made the decision very quickly, under great pressure from family and/or boyfriends and especially from abortion mill employees, and did so under the belief that they were simply removing a “clump of cells” that would later, if not stopped, turn into a baby.
But then time passed. They saw ultrasounds of their sisters, cousins, friends, or their own when the decided to have a family. And the realization of what they had done was crushing.
I will say this in defense of many abortion defenders—when they see ultrasounds of their unborn babies many of them decide not to kill them. This is why the Left fights so strenuously against any effort to encourage pregnant women to have ultrasounds before making that final, lethal, decision.
Abortion is two things to the Left. One, it is big business, a billion-dollar industry. They never want to admit this. bleating as they do about “reproductive health care” and so on, but this is a cash cow for the abortion providers. And two, it is a sacrament of the Left, a rite and a symbol that they use to unify that part of their base.
Oh, I get that – I, too, have known women who have had abortions. I can easily see how in the pressure of the moment – and often the pressure of boyfriend and family – that decision can be made. This, I think, is why most people don’t want the practice banned altogether…they can easily see how it happens.
But I’m talking about the female demographic which is just sold on the most extreme pro-abortion view. I think it is why when they to opinion polls you see pretty normal everywhere (you know, roughly equal splits) but when it comes to white women college grads you get these lopsided 80/20 results for the Democrats.
Of course, it could be that most of them don’t know the actual Democrat position – federally funded to the moment of birth. It isn’t like the Democrats actively campaign on that.
But Amazona, to people like Fielding, abortion is simply a light and airy procedure and most importantly, it “moves votes”, and isn’t that what really matters? Democrats have successfully dumbed down women to think that abortion is just a choice, that’s all. No consequences and nothing but celebration afterwards.

In Michigan they are passing a law which will define speech which makes a person uncomfortable as “harm”. They’re going to try to thread a 1A needle by saying as it isn’t prior restraint, it isn’t censorship…but on the subjective judgement of a Leftist you’ll now be dragged into Court with the process as the punishment and so speech will be chilled for fear of having to go through the process.
Naturally this will eventually get a challenge and possibly all the way to the Supreme Court…but that takes years. Meanwhile, for those years, the Right will essentially be frozen out of the public square in Michigan.
