Came across one of those Right (ish) Never Trump accounts on the website formerly known as Twitter (X); from this account I usually get the moderate-Conservative drivel but this one was different. It was a bald assertion that in a vote between Trump and Biden, this person would choose Biden as the decent alternative. It really rather flabbergasted me – got me thinking: are there any of the Old Right people who have the least sense of what is decent?
Leave aside Biden’s creepiness and personal immorality – pretend that doesn’t exist. You’re still left with a man – and a Party – 100% committed to federally funded abortion on demand to birth, to the medical transition of minors, to an open border which is the new slave trade, to keeping up the war in Ukraine which has already cost at least a few hundred thousand lives…this is decent? In what freaking universe is this decent?
This has got me thinking that people do not realize what we’re dealing with in the Democrats, in the overall Liberal/Left world – and not just the political leadership; even rank and file Democrats. By the time you get to the point where you’re opposed to banning third trimester abortions (which most of the world does) and surgically/chemically altering children, there is no decency left inside you. Oh, on the outside there might be: in other words, the person might be well dressed, well spoken…even polite. But the evil at the core of their being is what is decisive. You can’t have the least regard for human decency if you’re in any way ok with aborting a child 8 months into a pregnancy or think that blocking puberty – the normal development of the human body! – is a good idea. You are – and I’m not at all exaggerating here – on the same level as Germans loading up the trains for Auschwitz or Russians watching human beings herded into Gulag. There is no decency left at that point: that person is participating – in first or second degree – in actions we Catholics call “objectively evil”.
I know the immediate reaction of most to such a thing is to try to explain it away. Most of us, most of the time, are afraid to call it out. Fearful, that is, that we’ll have our own faults exposed. That we might turn the spotlight of evil on ourselves. It is how, especially over the last century, so many people have essentially gotten away with it – gotten away with monstrous crimes. The clearest example of this is the Germans of WWII. To a lesser extent the Russians in the aftermath of the fall of communism. Everyone had their excuses and their claims of ignorance. But, guys, someone typed up the train schedules to Auschwitz. The ladies in the typing pool at the Lubyanka were busy day in and day out typing up the decrees of the OSO sending people off to slave labor for stealing a spool of thread. They all knew; they all participated. That liberal aunt you’ve got who is oh, so sweet: she’s in on it, too. She’s just as evil as any of them. She might pretend to not know, but she does…or if she really doesn’t know, it is because she deliberately strives not to know, because she prefers the profit she makes off the current system to any sense of human decency. What I’m saying is: don’t excuse it. Recognize it. Condemn it. Call it out.
Which is what I did with that comment about Biden being the decent alternative. It was highly liberating for me to do that – knowing that the following of that person would be gravely offended by what I said, but only because they share the guilt. And, who knows?, maybe my comment will be part of the process which wakes people up? But the alarm can’t wake anyone up until it is sounded…and it is way past time for us to sound it.
Because it isn’t that the Liberals are mistaken in their means to a good end. They don’t want a good end. They want an evil end. They want a world where people can be punished for thinking or saying the “wrong” things. A world where privileges are passed out based on connections and credentials. A world where they are spared the guilt which comes from seeing people who live morally correct lives. And the Liberals will do anything to get their way. Remember, these are people who are ok with chopping off healthy body parts from a youngster. People who are willing to do that – or even just willing to tolerate that – have no sense of morality which would prevent them from doing – or tolerating – untold, inhuman horrors done against you.
The first step of solving any problem is to admit you’ve got one. And our problem is that the Left (Democrats, Liberals, whatever you want to call them collectively) are evil – they want bad things because they are bad people who like bad things. We must get into the habit of routinely condemning Left actions out of hand as immoral. Don’t debate them on it. There’s no argument here. What they want is wrong. The only correct action is to stop them. And do keep in mind that they very much view us as in the wrong – and unworthy of debate and their only desire is to stop us. You’re not being unfair here: you’re just fighting back.
Mark accurately identifies many of the Democrats destructive positions that every American sees and lives with everyday, and our resident devoted Leftist servant Casper chimes in to claim, “these positions aren’t real”. Someone this stupid and/or dishonest doesn’t belong in a civil society. Just the other day Jessica Tarlov, another devoted Leftist servant, said on Fox News that puberty blockers were not being given to kids without parental consent … this statement is of course in direct opposition to many of the parental personal accounts, and in opposition to many other Democrats who openly advocate for that privacy. And Jessica is a well paid “informed” Democrat. Did she lie? Or is she that stupid? Either way, these are people we should no longer engage with. In my world, people who support and promote this gender shit with children should be publicly hung from the gallows. This is evil personified.
We no longer have any shared common goals or values with Democrats and we should stop pretending that we do. Like Mark said, call them out, as well as the Republicans who support this shit too. I read a report yesterday saying that many House Republicans are not inclined to vote for impeachment claiming there isn’t enough evidence. There is plenty of evidence. There’s just not enough moral integrity.
One thing is for sure … the seven deadly sins are consuming America.
You speak of the seven deadly sins (which, I have to admit, I can never think of without remembering the song from the original “Camelot” movie—the good one with Richard Burton—with the wicked little song “The Seven Deadly Virtues” [“it’s not the earth the meek inherit but the dirt”] But I digress…)
I’ve been thinking of the story of the fall of mankind, when Adam succumbed to the temptation of promised knowledge and bit into the apple. Because (the symbolism of Apple aside) what we are seeing is the same thing: people so arrogant they believe they can or at least should have the power to control the universe. From the micro (making it a crime to sell a certain kind of light bulb) to the macro (trying to CONTROL THE WHOLE DAMNED WORLDWIDE CLIMATE!!) and in between the belief that biology can be altered and genders switched, it is hubris writ large.
But the core element is unchanged: weak people yearning not only to be strong but to have the power to control others and by extension the world. Every place you see an atrocity, an aberration of humanity, you see figurative apples with big bites taken out of them.
Well when you’re told that you are saving not only democracy, but the planet at the same time, wouldn’t you believe that you are in fact all powerful and righteous? They have convinced themselves of that despite every evidence to the contrary.
And that goes back to what I have been saying for years—that the main lure of the Left is its promise that it offers a shortcut to the Higher Moral Ground.
That’s what draws people in, but more important it is what keeps them there. It is very hard to walk away from something that constantly assures you that merely by being part of it you are proving to yourself and the world that you are a Better Person. The smug arrogance of most on the Left, particularly in the media and in blog trolls, shows this conviction of simply being better than those who are not of the tribe.
And the noise of this constant assurance, mostly from the lapdog Complicit Agenda Media, drowns out the voices that point out the facts.
Just behold how impervious Democrats have become to logic and facts. Vivek is talking straight up facts and yet the two tv pundits remain intellectually resistant and continue to promote the accepted narrative. Just amazing
https://x.com/vivekgramaswamy/status/1697253067316760691?s=46
And what are the creds of these “pundits”? TMZ!! Yeah, the group that follows celebrities around to ask them what designer clothes they are wearing is now the arbiter of science?
Why not just ask the Kardashians? Or Britney Spears?
LOL, exactly. And listen to their childish come backs to Vivek … devoid of any actual facts, just over emotional hyperbole, but that’s what passes these days in Democrat circles as informed opinion.
Revisiting the observation that whoever controls the language controls the people.
Proud Boys member Joseph Biggs was just sentenced to 17 years in prison for “seditious conspiracy”. Oh, my! That sounds just awful! But what does it mean?
And researching this phrase leads us into the Leftist swamp of redefining words to advance an agenda. The word “seditious” has always meant merely to express objection to a government. The Cambridge Dictionary defined it: intending to persuade other people to oppose their government. From the examples given, this clearly used to apply to what we call “civil disobedience”—The other main feature of civil disobedience activity has been the distribution of seditious pamphlets. and He and three others were charged with seditious conspiracy for opposition to the draft. Or: Amongst a quantity of seditious literature seized some were documents which might be deemed to refer to the anticipated election.
But now, now that it is necessary to establish a much more ominous definition to support new political agendas, the word has undergone a metamorphosis in some dictionaries. Now it is “defined” thusly: from Merriam Webster: the crime of creating a revolt, disturbance, or violence against lawful civil authority with the intent to cause its overthrow or destruction (emphasis mine)
Isn’t it funny that suddenly two words which have always had very different definitions–“insurrection” and “sedition”—have come to mean almost exactly the same thing? Just when the State has found it necessary to silence opposition by weaponizing its legal system to prosecute and punish people for what used to be minor offenses, now possibly merely by redefining words?
In other words, just a few years ago (and I have a feeling it was a very few years ago) “seditious conspiracy” would be applied to anyone organizing a protest against any government action, including the draft. Today it means coordinating an effort to overthrow or destroy the government, sometimes through violence.
Congress repealed the (Sedition Act) in 1920 along with a host of wartime restrictions, and most prisoners convicted under the Sedition Act, including Debs, were released.
“Today, it’s unequivocal,” says Stone. “You cannot punish someone for speech that may cause others to engage in unlawful conduct unless you can show at the very least that it created a clear and present danger of grave harm, and the Supreme Court has not upheld a single conviction under that standard in 50 years.”
The Espionage Act never fully went away. A portion of it survives in the federal criminal code as “seditious conspiracy,” defined as two or more people conspiring to “overthrow, put down, or to destroy by force” the U.S. government, to illegally seize property or prevent the execution of any law. In fact, in September 2020, Attorney General William P. Barr was reported to have asked prosecutors to consider charging rioters and others who had committed violent crimes at protests with sedition. I wonder if he meant all rioters or just those uppity enough to challenge the status quo of the election.
And here we have it. A confluence of government efforts to silence the opposition by legislating against free speech, the eventual rejection of this violation of the 1st Amendment, and the clinging to a vestige of it by tying it to the Espionage Act (though espionage and sedition are totally different) and the inclusion of an effort to “prevent the execution of any law.”
OK, we’re drilling down here. Now the effort to petition Congress to delay its certification of the electoral vote tallies given to it by the states (based on the evidence that many of these totals were false) has been recast as “an effort to prevent the execution of any law” (requiring the definition of a duty of Congress as a “law” and then determining that the petition was, in fact, nothing more than an effort to prevent the execution of this law) and we finally reach the inevitable conclusion that Biggs needs almost two decades in a federal prison for violating what turns out to be a mishmash of laws and definitions. None of which actually apply to what he did, but why quibble?
in the meantime, Spook and I are now evidently guilty of seditious conspiracy for agreeing that we should refuse to comply with government orders about Covid. But what about people who try to stop officers from making an arrest? We’ve all seen the photos of the Antifa crowd marching with its hammer and sickle flags loudly proclaiming their desire and intent to overthrow and/or destroy the government. When can we see their trials for “seditious conspiracy?”
Oh, right. First we have to look at whose side they represent, in this brave new world of multi-tiered State “justice”.
During World War I, the government prosecuted more than 2,000 dissenters for opposing the war or the draft, and in an atmosphere of fear, hysteria and clamor, most judges were quick to mete out severe punishment — often 10 to 20 years in prison — to those deemed disloyal. The result was the suppression of all genuine debate about the merits, the morality and the progress of the war.
The story of the Supreme Court in this era is one of failure. In a series of decisions in 1919 and 1920, the court consistently upheld the convictions of individuals who had agitated against the war and the draft — individuals as obscure as Mollie Steimer, a 20-year-old Russian-Jewish émigré who had thrown anti-war leaflets in Yiddish from a rooftop on the lower East Side of New York, and as prominent as Eugene Debs, who had received almost a million votes in 1912 as the Socialist Party candidate for president.
Between 1919 and 1923, the government released from prison every individual who had been convicted of seditious expression during the war. A decade later, President Roosevelt granted amnesty to all of these individuals, restoring their full political and civil rights. Over the next half-century, the Supreme Court overruled every one of its World War I decisions, holding in effect that every one of the individuals who had been imprisoned in this era for his or her dissent had been punished for speech that should have been protected by the First Amendment.
Oh my, another kangaroo court convicts a political opponent and you applaud like the seal you are. Pathetic.
Whenever you read this, According to experts, you can easily dismiss the report. As we can with this recent “expert revelation”
According to experts in Canada, one billion people – one eighth of the current global population – will die due to climate change if global warming reaches or exceeds 3.6°F (2°C) by 2100.
I’m still waiting for Al Gore to retract all of his ridiculous predictions.
I’ll bet if you could get a list of those “experts” you’d find that many, if not most of them are on record as saying the only way our planet survives is if our population is drastically reduced. YCMTSU!
Yet none volunteer to lead the way. None offer to be role models for population reduction. Maybe we should make that a condition of advocating for population reduction—call it the You First Act.
Do the same for every suggestion that limits liberty. Demand no fossil fuel be used? You First. Like in England, where some Big Giant Head suggests that people not heat their homes at night: You First. Demand a small carbon footprint? You First—move out of your big house and drive a Cooper 4-banger. Don’t drive but take public transportation? You First. Save the planet by eating bugs? You First.
I think it should be a movement. The You First Movement.
Aren’t the bigger populations in warmer climates?
Asking for a friend.
Here’s who Democrats are …
‘The families deserve answers’: Uvalde mayor files new lawsuit accusing district attorney of a cover-up over 2022 school shooting that left 19 children and two teachers dead
Remember how they all rallied around Uvalde and how “our children are being slaughtered!!” … well as it turns out, that was all for show. Since then, they have not done one single thing to secure elementary schools and are in fact stone walling investigations.
You’re still brainwashed into thinking Republicans and Democrats are different. You should try and keep up.
Ahhh, these unsolvable problems! What to do, what to do?
A few ideas:
New school buildings built with a bulletproof safe room between every two classrooms, with ventilation and communications built in. Some buildings could be retrofitted.
Heavy classroom doors that can be locked remotely, with windows so anyone passing by can see into the classroom.
Cameras monitoring hallways, so admin and teachers can see what is happening out there.
Rigid lockdown procedures, so halls are cleared before class changes and ingress to the building is severely limited through locked doors, requiring admin to allow entry.
If you don’t want a prison atmosphere with metal detectors at the doors, establish a secure perimeter with metal detectors located far from the school
Allow trained volunteer teachers to carry onsite, make this well known, and never publicize which teachers are armed at any given time.
Have onsite armed security officers who make regular rounds
If you want to go hi-tech, have auto-locking fire doors in hallways creating small isolated areas, so a gunman can only move 20 or 30 feet, and maybe have the ability to pump gas into the area to disable him. Or, if he is alone or with an adult hostage, use any of the non-lethal crowd control methods the Israelis have developed, including sonic attacks.
Some of these are simple changes in protocol. Some require some financial investment. Some sound a little sci-fi but would certainly offer control of situations. And every one of them would deter a gunman if it were known that measures were in place—not in detail, but in general.
And BTW make it known that if anyone does attempt a school shooting his mental health record, including sexual dysfunction, will be made public the next day. I will never understand the squeamishness about ridiculing murderers. I’ll write the articles: “Newest member of the Limp Dick Club, Blankety Blank admits his sexual inadequacy and frustration at being wholly unlikable by picking on children a fourth his size. This is what we have learned to expect from pathetic freaks like this. Cowardice and impotence seem to go hand in hand.”
And if Mummy and Daddy hesitate to turn Psycho Junior in for being dangerous, maybe knowing they will be named as enablers of this kind of insanity will nudge them toward decency.
We will take a brief pause while Cluster formulates a post accusing me of being passive and too nice.
Those measures are waaayyyy too passive lol. I’d have 50 cal guns on each roof top corner, land mines in the school yard, drones in the air with quick strike missile capability, and every teacher wearing Seal team armed tactical gear. Too much?
In reality, the solution is simple, it just takes the will. Secure our schools the same way we secure all other federal buildings, with metal detectors, and armed and trained security. I’m sure there are lots of retired Vets in almost every community that would welcome the opportunity to protect the communities kids. And what better way to promote a sense of community?
Police Pull Over Driver With Gigantic Bull In Passenger Seat

As Spent Turbine Blades Pile Up All Over The U.S., Wyoming Seeks Solutions
Wyoming is paying attention to a growing problem of wind turbine blade disposal. A mechanical engineer with experience in the wind industry said the blades are so hard, it’s going to be difficult to do much with them.

The streets have never had a President. They’ve never had someone they could relate to, at least on some level, about a particular struggle or unjust circumstance…
Until last night. Last night, the streets were given a champion. They were given someone who they could see being set up, railroaded, arrested, and humiliated, just the way they have for decades.
Real recognizes real, and last night, the establishment uniparty made what will go down as the biggest mistake in modern history.
They martyred Trump and gave the streets a reason to love him.
Democrats went too far. And they’re still going
Tump (sic)may actually get 100 million votes
Which won’t matter if Biden or whoever gets 200 million 😉
I believe this to be 100% true … all of Americas current unrest, began with Obama
I’ve had Obama pegged from the first day. Obama is the ultimate “Manchurian Candidate.” Gay is unimportant. What matters is he was groomed to be president by the Deep State and communist, fascist, globalist enemies of the United States. What matters is Obama is a radical Marxist tyrant carrying out the destruction of America.
Obama was tame in his first two terms. He was “boiling the frog slowly.” But Trump ruined his plan. Now Obama is trying to destroy this country as fast as he can, before Trump has a second chance to undo the damage.
https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2023/09/wayne-root-tucker-is-outing-obama-as-gay/
We were told back in the earliest Obama days that he was gay. Someone wrote a book about sexual hijinks in the back of a limo between Obama and one of his boy toys. The “Reverend” Wright was well known in Chicago for providing cover for well-to-do gay black men because in general blacks don’t approve of gays, setting them up with attractive women and even arranging marriages for them. This tied in with rumors that Michelle was trans, which always seemed to be possible given her physique and Adam’s apple and the occasional mystery bulge. (Though years of plenty of money have let her become more feminine in appearance.)
But it’s the early grooming to be president that really matters. From his early days with his real father, Frank Marshall Davis, being fully indoctrinated into Communist theory and belief, to his mystery years that included traveling to Pakistan when Americans were not allowed to visit there, not traveling on an American passport and with no explanation of who paid the bills, all the way to his mysterious acceptance into prestigious colleges in spite of a horrible academic history and the same questions of who paid for it all, Obama has been a true Manchurian Candidate.
The whole “birther” thing was a brilliant ploy of distraction. He never had to go through any of those antics regarding his citizenship. His mother was 18 when he was born, an American citizen who had lived the requisite number of years in the United States, so he was a natural born citizen. Yet this argument was never made, while dozens of fake red flags were planted all over the place, and conservatives (including me) fell for every one of them and went howling off into the woods to disprove them. There was the patently bogus COLB distraction, even drawing in Hawaiian officials to agree that when anyone asked for a certified copy of a birth certificate they wouldn’t get a certified photocopy of the original (identical to the original because it was a photocopy) but that someone would sit down at a computer and painstakingly transcribe information from the original into a document that was specifically designed solely to prove Hawaiian residency FOR THOSE BORN OUTSIDE THE STATE. (That was the subtitle of the COLB statute, before it was scrubbed.) Because what could make more sense than risking an error in transcription to use a document created specifically for people born out of the state (as stated in its title) to prove that someone was born in the state?
The whole baiting of millions into questioning his citizenship was a masterful execution of a distraction strategy, both providing the distraction itself and setting up a basis for howling about racism, a howl that was invaluable in other areas as well.
No history for many years, no records for many years, no American passport till he became president, no college records of any sort, a sudden and inexplicable elevation to editor of the Harvard Law Journal without any published work or grades or written recommendations from any professors, a convenient “job” set up for him on graduation, and then of course the arrangement with the infamous Ayers couple to introduce him to politics with the message that he was there for the anti-American radicals. All of this was eclipsed by the smoke screen of citizenship.
Having said all this, I have to think that while Obama may have evolved into a slightly more independent voice he is still being controlled by the same entities that found him, groomed him, placed him and ran him since he was a teenager.
100%. And let’s not forget that bio that was written in advance of Obama’s first book. It said “Born in Kenya”
That was not an error
All they ever had to do was say “Yeah, he was born in Kenya. And here are the US regs on citizenship. His mother was a citizen so he’s a citizen.” But they didn’t. They played the entire country so brilliantly that they created a new pejorative–“birther”—-and a whole new basis for whining about “racism” while distracting us from the real stories. They played the COLB card, they got the Lefty Hawaiian Secretary of Health and Human Services to change the protocol for getting birth certificate copies (after lying about it), they even produced a blatantly forged “birth certificate” to keep the hysteria going.
Of course, there might have been a problem if it had been showed that after he turned 21 he declared Indonesian citizenship over that of the US and then got an Indonesian passport. (Or one from any other country, for that matter.) That might have clouded the citizenship issue. But they did a good job of skipping right past that as if it didn’t matter, though it was one of the most crucial issues of the day. Because at that time the U.S. did not allow dual citizenship, and those who had dual citizenship due to having parents from different countries were supposed to declare which one they chose when they turned 21. In spite of the fact that the U.S. had dropped the ball and never instituted an actual protocol for declaring a U.S. citizenship choice to formalize such a decision the fact of getting a passport from a different country after the age of 21 would certainly have been seen as a formal declaration of citizenship of that country, NOT the U.S. Distracting from that was far more important than the whole “where was he born” non-issue.
Latrine Jean Pierre actually said this from the podium just yesterday
“The President has done more to secure the border, to deal with this issue of immigration than anybody else — he really has.”
They are just openly lying now, and when people are required to believe obviously untrue things … that’s how communism begins.
OF COURSE they’re lying. Their collective lips are moving.
And, like everyone who says in one way or another “we’ll just do this now and worry about how to deal with the consequences later” there is no concern for the fact that this is the kind of thing that can, and will, blow up in their faces later.
Which I take as an implied admission that it won’t matter because Biden won’t be the candidate so nothing he did, or nothing his little parrots say on TV, will matter. They can pile lie upon lie for the next year and it won’t matter because the real candidate can just say “I never said that and I never did that so what’s your point?”
At this point Biden is literally nothing but a human sacrifice, sent out to distract and entertain the commoners who then howl “Look what Biden did!” and “Look what Biden said!” as if, for one thing, Biden is responsible for anything and for another that it will matter when it comes to who will really be running. He’s just another distraction, just something to fill the space until it’s time to bring in the real candidate, which will be as late as possible.
We’re being set up to run against a shadow that will no longer be there, and because we (as usual) run against a person instead of an ideology or political system we will be left holding a bag of ammunition against someone who’s not even in the race any more. And lying there, in the bottom of that bag, will be the impeachment everyone thought was so important because it would prove Biden to be a crook–the same Biden who isn’t even in the race and is now officially too impaired to even prosecute.
And we won’t be able to argue that the new candidate did this or that, because he or she won’t have DONE much of anything to campaign against. And then, maybe, just maybe, we can start to scramble around and say “Well, yeah, but we have to look at what he/she REPRESENTS, the ideology he/she will follow exactly as Biden did” and finally start to indict the party itself and its ideology and structure. And hope that “better late IS better than never” and that hope, finally, IS a strategy.
Let’s start off the month with a good laugh. Like the President of the United States introducing “Secretary Bootyjuice”
I saw this on Twitter, or X excuse me, and the comments were hilarious. Biden was torched over this

Why do Democrats hate Black Americans so much?
Between talking to them like children, lecturing them about how they don’t have agency over their own lives, calling any independent thinker vile, disgusting names, and destroying their communities with their piss-poor governance, it’s appropriate to ask “is this intentional?”
The answer is “yes.” Of course it is.
Why do we capitalize the B in “black”?
The famous Greek philosopher Anaxagoras was arrested, banned, and almost killed for saying that the sun and the moon are objects and not gods.
A problem we see all too often today, so many people worship objects rather than their Creator.
People today worship themselves, the worship money, take AOC for example, she went from a bar tender to congresswoman, and now she’s a millionaire. She’s an earth worshiper as evidenced by her so-called “Green New Deal.”
People worship man, and want to place man on a pedestal in the place of God Himself.
For example they want to use a non-observable theory “evolution” as “proof” that “there is no God.”
Recently, a teacher was fired after many years teaching that X and Y chromosomes determine the sex of a person at birth. Their excuse for firing him was because his teaching was wrong because it was based too much in religion. When we all know, and have known for years that X and Y chromosomes that determine the sex of an individual is based in factual scientific findings.
Communist philosophy itself teaches that “man is superior” therefore, if man is “superior” then man can determine who lives and who dies, who is free and who is a slave.
We see the government the left in particular doing and testing these very things in America and other parts of the world. I’m Canada for example, as Amazon’s had shared earlier, I think.
There is a flag that many fly here in America that’s yellow with a coiled rattlesnake as it’s emblem, and it reads “Don’t tread on me!” But, if you notice, the government is actively doing and planning things to walk all over the people.
I think we need more people to fly that flag, but we need to prove the words on it in deed, not just words alone.
I thought more people would come to President Trumps aid in his fight against these rogue leftist judges. Apparently, that’s not the case.
Well, there’s no time like the present to take a stand and make the left back off, or risk finding out what those words on that flag actually mean “Don’t Tread on Me!”
Booty Juice is being busy: Buttigieg earlier this month appointed 24 new members to his Advisory Committee on Transportation Equity, an Obama-era body that Buttigieg is reviving after the Trump administration scrapped it. Included on the committee is Andrea Marpillero-Colomina, a “spatial policy scholar” who says “ALL CARS ARE BAD” given that they cause “a myriad of environmental issues and conditions.” Another Buttigieg appointee, self-described “transportation nerd” Veronica Davis, argued in an August essay that cars perpetuate “systemic racism” and are therefore “the problem” in America’s transportation system.
You know that claim that Biden is “creating jobs”? I’m guessing “spatial policy scholar” might be one of them.
Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg appointed an Obama-era group made up of 24 “leading experts” to advise him on “transportation equity,” claiming the privilege of owning a car ignites “systemic racism” and should be banned because of their negative impact on the environment.
The White House is invoking executive privilege to keep a conservative legal group from seeing about 200 emails between a business operated by Hunter Biden and the office of then-Vice President Joe Biden.
America First Legal announced the action on its website, noting that although it received 861 emails between Rosemont Seneca, Hunter Biden’s consulting firm, and his father’s office, the National Archives refused to release 200 others, saying they “would disclose confidential advice between the President and his advisors, or between such advisors.”
Interesting. Here we have the National Archives stepping in, once again, to dictate policy far outside its scope of authority. This raises some questions: Is the “White House invoking executive privilege” through some legal means, or is it just asking the increasingly political National Archives head to run interference for it, again?
Then there is the issue of the reason for having executive privilege. In theory, the protection allows a president’s advisers to give candid advice free from fear of public disclosure, making the president’s deliberations more productive, legal experts explained.
Using this metric, the White House or its surrogate, the National Archives, appear to be claiming that communications between the then-Vice President his son’s company involved Biden’s “advisors” giving advice, the nature of which is not private but relating to national interests or security. That would be an interesting argument.
Executive privilege isn’t explicitly stated in the Constitution. Instead, it implicitly stems from Article II, outlining the power of the executive branch, and the separation of powers.
The idea dates to the Nixon administration, when a special prosecutor leading the investigation of the Watergate break-in subpoenaed President Richard Nixon for tapes and transcripts of conversations related to the burglary.
Nixon refused, and the case went to the Supreme Court. Ultimately, Nixon lost and was forced to hand over the tapes (after which he resigned).
What are the limits of executive privilege?
Although the court ruled against Nixon, it ultimately found that there is confidentiality interest in communications between a president and their (sic) senior-most advisers. But, the court specified, there’s one very clear limit — executive privilege does not apply when the communications are relevant to a criminal investigation.
For example, in Nixon’s case, the Supreme Court found a compelling interest in the criminal case against the Watergate burglars, since there was a “demonstrated, specific need for evidence in a pending criminal trial.”
………………………..
Although there are various and distinct components to executive privilege, the privilege’s foundation lies in the proposition that in making judgments and reaching decisions, the President and his advisors must be free to discuss issues candidly, express opinions, and explore options without fear that those deliberations will later be made public. Even if we expand this to include a sitting Vice President, it seems clear that the issues, options and deliberations must relate to the business of the nation, not that of the Vice President’s personal business or that of his family.
It could certainly be argued that, given the other evidence of malfeasance on the part of the then-Vice President in using his office to enrich his son and his family, a House impeachment hearing would also be considered a criminal trial.
An interesting new phrase: a Republican of the very equivocal variety
Another great “I Told You So” moment as those who jumped on the bandwagon to impose tyranny and punish those who refused to submit are now being forced to deal with their actions.
Hospital That Fired Nurses for Refusing Vaccines Now Begging Them to Return
Among information in the story is this:
Maine General Health, the hospital now contacting fired nurses asking them to come back, used the mealy-mouthed passive voice in trying to avoid liability for its actions: “As you know, nearly 2 years ago MaineGeneral had to comply with a state mandate for COVID-19 vaccination. We lost a number of great employees as a result, including you,” What this fails to address is the fact that when the hospital fired the nurse in question, it did so with an accusation of misconduct, so she could not receive unemployment benefits.

New York’s Roswell Park Comprehensive Care Center has been ordered to reinstate nurse Wendy Cooper and negotiate retroactive pay and benefits with her, according to The Buffalo News.
State Supreme Court Justice Emilio Colaiacovo ruled this week that an arbitrator’s decision that went against Cooper was “irrational, violative of public policy and contrary to the interests of justice.”
“Ms. Cooper is an unfortunate victim in the wake of excesses exhibited by governors, administrators, legislatures, and yes, even the judiciary,” the ruling said. “All too frequently did critical thinking and the exercise of personal liberties expire at the altar of false righteousness, fear and authority.”
Our own Matt Margolis has a good column on election fraud:
Local authorities originally conducted the investigation, but eventually the FBI assumed control and, well, it suddenly disappeared.
Michigan law enforcement officials interviewed employees of GBI Strategies and identified thousands of voter registrations suspected of being fraudulent. A memo from the State Police referred to the potential criminal activity under investigation as Election Fraud by Forgery.”
The Muskegon Police Department began investigating GBI Strategies after the Muskegon City Clerk’s Office reported suspected voter registration fraud, according to a police report first dated Oct. 16, 2020, which Just the News obtained from a FOIA request.
The city clerk’s office said that a woman who dropped off the fraudulent voter registrations on Oct. 8, 2020 said she worked for GBI Strategies, the police report reads.
The police interviewed the woman, called “Suspect 1” in the police report, and she explained that she “receives $1150.00 a week, hotels services and a rental vehicle for her work.”
She also said she was “tasked with finding unregistered voters and provide them with a form so they can get registered and obtain their ballot,” according to the police report. “Suspect 1 initially stated that her ‘canvassers’ earn money for each person that completes the form. She later told us that they are paid $9.25 per hour with extra money for working weekends.”
GBI Strategies is headquartered in Tennessee and also has offices in Georgia, New York, and Philadelphia. It received millions of dollars in 2020 from Democrat and leftist groups, including the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, DNC Services Corp., and Joe Biden’s presidential campaign.
Let that sink in.
