Saw on Facebook that our Matt Margolis recently lost his mother; prayers for the family are greatly appreciated.

I think I can see what the Israeli’s are up to. They do not, apparently, want to conquer and occupy Gaza. This is understandable: trying to control and take care of two million hostile people is a tall order for even a Great Power…a small power like Israel probably feels it is just too much to attempt. So, what they are doing is trying destroy Hamas’ Gaza infrastructure while killing as many Hamas members as they can – especially senior leadership. It is a play to knock back Hamas’ physical capability as well as a harsh lesson to any surviving and successor Hamas leadership that doing 10/7 means you die.

This is just guess on my part; the IDF doesn’t check with me. But it looks like this from the outside.

I don’t think this will work.

Hamas isn’t the particular problem, no more than the Nazis were in Germany – the problem is that the population of Gaza by and large has faith in Hamas’ promise, just as Germans had faith in Nazism, even if they weren’t overtly committed to the party. Even at the end, in January of 1945, most Germans still felt that Nazism was good and that Hitler would pull it off for them. It was only the spasm of violence March to May 1945 which burned out the Nazi cancer…which made it impossible for the Germans to continue to believe in Nazism. The revelation of Nazi crimes post-war wasn’t the catalyst; the Germans already knew about them before the war ended. It was Russians massacring Germans by the bushel, the French letting their Algerian troops do whatever the heck they wanted, Anglo-American soldiers giving Germans five minutes to clear out of the undamaged buildings…that is what showed the Germans they had lost, that the Nazis had lied.

There were, after all, plenty of Nazis left in Germany after the war ended. Committed, believing Nazis…and not all of them set for the gallows or a term in prison. Paul Hausser was a Waffen-SS general who went about post-war white-washing the Waffen-SS. Felix Steiner was another believing Nazi general who really wasn’t punished at all post-war; he also participated in pro-Nazi post-war activities. But while the long-term effect of their efforts has led to some absurd modern beliefs about the Nazis (most pro-Nazi organizations these days take their cues from the BS people like Hausser put out post-war, including Holocaust denial open or covert) it never recaptured the imagination of the German people…because that post-war generation knew what happens when you follow the Nazis into war. The problem with the Israeli plan – if I’ve got it right – is that it will still leave Hamas as a credible standard. No matter how many of the leadership are killed, some number of them will survive and raise the flag again…and if the people of Gaza don’t feel the war on their flesh, they’ll still believe…and just hope for a better outcome in a future round.

Of course, Israel might feel they have no other choice; as I said, holding down two million people takes a lot of effort…the process of utter humiliation which would get them to reject Hamas – and all Islamist ideologies – is time consuming and dangerous. It might be something that the Israeli body politic just couldn’t sustain. Right now, Israelis are flint; the more they hear about just what Hamas did, the more grimly determined they are upon retribution. But there’s a point where anger does start to fade and its usually when your own boys and girls are dying for limited gains. And I might be wrong; they might just be prepping the ground for a general assault and occupation.

What has been of interest for Americans has been the number of Progressive Jews – by far the large majority of the American Jewish population – is how vicious their supposed Progressive allies are. I did make the rather cold observation that for Progressive Jews, the American Left was fine as long as the targets were straight, white Christians. Progressive Jews do bear a lot of animosity towards that class of people – but none of it really justified. Whatever white Christians did to Jews in America, its many decades past. The Jews should be long past any feeling of fear or insult. But, they kept it up…only to discover, very late, that the only Americans they can rely on are Jesus-freak gun-nut rednecks. I doubt we’ll see a quick shift in Jewish voting patterns, but this is going to be part of the breakup of the Left coalition. We’re already seeing erosion among Latino and Asian communities, tiny bits of movement in the African-American communities and now we’ll almost certainly see it among Jews.

The bottom line is that the American Left is entirely dominated by a pagan (in practical terms…but lots of them are still in mainline Protestant denominations), white, upper class of ignorant holders of college degrees. Our Credentialed Incompetents. As they are without any concept of God, they are de-facto evil; they are cruel, greedy, and narcissistic. They are out there right now – or their college-aged spawn – shouting various “death to the Jews” slogans…which are just variations on “Black Lives Matter”, “No Justice, No Peace”, “Antifa”, “ACAB” and so forth. I rather cruelly asked a couple Progressive Jews just what they thought “America is systemically racist” meant when they vapidly nodded along with it? If America is racist then Americans are racist…and just what do you do with racists? You kill them. FFS, none of this is at all surprising. Except to people at the top of the social and economic order, because getting to the top these days requires the cultivation of stupidity.

We won’t ever get a majority of Jews on our side (for most Jews, being Progressive is far more important to their identity than being Jewish; so, too, for Progressive Christians). Just as we’ll never get a majority of Asians, Blacks and Latinos. But if we can just eat into the Democrat numbers here – I’m talking just 10 point shifts, which still works out to Democrats dominating these demographics – then it is all over for the Democrats. That’s why Pudding Brain’s people have been making pro-Israel noises, as have some other Democrat office-holders. I do give a tiny bit of credit where credit is due here…but make no mistake about it, those Democrats making pro-Israel statements are merely trying to ride the tiger. Most of their base – the purple-haired pronouners – are viciously anti-Semitic. But just enough of the base remains pro-Israel that the Democrat leadership needs to keep them on side. They’re trying to thread the needle…to just hold it together until 2024 is over.

I don’t think they’ll be able to…not for lack of effort, but because their base is so stupid and ignorant they simply won’t play ball. The Democrats will crack up; hopefully just in time for 2024.

If America is to restore sanity, it will be brought on by former Democrats who see the problem, like Joe Rogan, Elon Musk, Bill Maher, Naomi Wolfe, and yes …. Donald Trump

Of course they will. Democrats have become a factional party and those factions inevitably consume themselves trying to be at the top of the grievance hierarchy.

Yesterday I saw an ad about hate crimes claiming that hate crimes in America have increased on … Jews, Muslims, LGBTQ, Hispanics, Blacks, and Asians. Now based on that claim, who do you think the perpetrators are? This is dangerous shit. When you categorize people, you foment distrust and hate, and Democrats do this every single day.

The Left has been fragmenting our society and then turning those fragments against each other, while claiming that the ensuing violence is somehow the fault of the “white nationalists” who have had nothing to do with it.

    • Amazona's avatar Amazona November 1, 2023 / 4:15 pm

Did the ad point out these “hate crimes” are usually committed BY members of these groups? Of course not. No one is attacking Asians but blacks. No one was attacking Jews but Muslims, until the Left decided this would be its new policy and now every braindead Lefty is out terrorizing Jews. No one picks on the alphabet society, except for maybe laughing at their costumes and trying to keep the weenie wagglers out of girls locker rooms. Asians don’t pick on anyone. They are too busy getting into colleges where they can dominate the grading and rack up some of those increasingly meaningless degrees.

And those dreaded “white nationalists” are too busy trying to save the nation they are derided for loving to pay attention to the rabble. Making a living and defending your country take up too much time to go looking for people to be mean to.

We might be seeing some conflict between the few cosplaying “Neo Nazis” who have gotten such a kick out of freaking out the Left and the real New Nazis that ARE the Left, out in force actually advocating for a new and better Final Solution. All the little handful of so-called “Neo Nazis” wanted was some attention to their ugly tats and posturing as bad guys, and now they have to compete with actual Ivy League mobs pursuing Jews into buildings where they have to hide.

Well and did you hear Milley’s reason why the wars are a good thing? Because we are replenishing our stockpile of weapons, which are being depleted, and that creates jobs in America. Fantastic news. If we just start one more war, the economy will be booming. Who doesn’t want that?

It’s funny to see an unspoken truth become a meme (“saying the silent part out loud”) going full circle and being acknowledged.

You know what else is good for the economy? Massive forest fires, because then we have to build new houses. And riots, because then we have to build new cities. And pandemics, because …..well, only a few get rich from pandemics.

Once again, Kurt Schlichter nails it with a comment on America’s Shame:

You would think maybe self-preservation would inspire (Pro-Palestinian protesters) but no. Are they just delusional, or do they think that the monster will just rape and behead them last?

Their stupid/cowardly refusal to not accept this degeneracy has made this degeneracy acceptable. That anyone can go out in decent society waving their Palestinian flag and giggling about their transgressive paraglider sign without being shunned and despised like some doofus wearing a white robe setting fire to a cross illustrates the depravity of our elite. But they can do it, and they will be applauded for doing it.

Their objection to the Holocaust is not that it happened but that it ultimately failed. Understand what “From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free” means. It means free of Jews.

Going back to my “fellow travelers” post—to march in favor of Palestine means to be a fellow traveler of Hamas. That is, a person who sympathizes with and often furthers the ideals and program of an organized group (such as the Communist party) without membership in the group or regular participation in its activities

  5. Cluster's avatar Cluster November 1, 2023 / 4:09 pm

Just in the last day or two, one of the top leaders of Hamas was giving an interview in which he repeated their claim that Jews need to be exterminated. Question … why didn’t we kidnap him while he is on his interview tour and publicly execute him? Are we fighting this war to win or not? And why aren’t we kidnapping Palestinian officials and their families and negotiating for the release of ours? This is an existential fight, there are no rules.

    • Amazona's avatar Amazona November 1, 2023 / 4:29 pm

Because the “we” you are talking about are fellow travelers of Hamas. Just because they don’t have membership cards doesn’t mean they aren’t down with the program. They are coming out of the woodwork now, with their dishrags on their heads and their “from the river to the sea” posters. This is the heart of our country right now, and it is not going to take any action against its leaders.

Do you think the FBI is going to do a thing about the New Nazis (as opposed to the impotent cosplaying “Neo Nazis” the Left used to love howling about, before they took over the identity) chasing Jews into buildings to try to survive an American pogrom? No way–they are just figuring out we are probably going to experience some terrorist attacks.

No, it’s got to be the Israelis, and I hope we fund them to the max, arm them and support them and strike at every nation that enables Hamas by trying to intimidate us to give them a chance to wipe out these vermin.

      • Cluster's avatar Cluster November 1, 2023 / 5:34 pm

I’m thinking they’re fighting this war wrong because the overwhelming leftist media will always turn the narrative around. What Israel should have done is send in an IDF force into Gaza and randomly slaughter and beheaded 1400 Palestinians and then left, leaving a note behind saying “do you want to continue”? And if they did it again, then double their victim rate next time. You have to have a mafia mentality to win this thing.A conventional war will not prevail.

      • Amazona's avatar Amazona November 1, 2023 / 6:53 pm

Well, Operation Wrath of God was not “conventional warfare” and it had a chilling effect on anti-Jew actions for a while. Now they are mixing some conventional warfare with traditional Mossad assassination tactics. Everyone knows Mossad is better at this than anyone. As for letting “Palestinians” back into Gaza, if this is deemed necessary then demand a loyalty oath—a public renunciation of the jihad against Jews and a public commitment to peaceful coexistence, with the understanding that support for Hamas will result in instant expulsion. No madrasas. No teaching of jihad. No clusters of Palestinians—anyone returning will live in an integrated neighborhood, not a Palestinian enclave. No one is going to risk the wrath of Hamas by making such an announcement or agreement, but it would let the Jews show their compassion and willingness to work with the opposition.

      • Cluster's avatar Cluster November 2, 2023 / 8:37 am

No doubt the Mossad is possibly the worlds most lethal fighting force.

    Mark,

I think the only real differences we see in Israel and America, are…

    1. Israel’s enemies are outside it’s borders. America’s enemies are inside its borders.

    2. The difference in the Left and Hamas is, Hamas is willing to die for their beliefs. The Left are cowards, who are not willing to die for their beliefs.

The Left wants to use our electoral process in order to change it, and enact laws that would bring us under the same leadership as someone like Hitler or an Islamic Jihadist organization, much the same as Palestine.

An enemy within is far more dangerous than an enemy outside the gates.

I feel confident, however, that like Hamas the leftists day will come.

I hope Israel will go ahead and wipe Gaza city off the map, and take control there, and not allow Palestinians back in, because it’s proven too dangerous for the citizens of Israel.

  9. Cluster's avatar Cluster November 2, 2023 / 9:51 am

    Here it is …

President Joe Biden said he thought there should be a humanitarian “pause” in the Israel-Hamas war,

The weak western world and the leftist media will undermine Israel in any conventional war posture. Israel needs to go into full terrorist mode, something the western world apparently condones. Pull back the tanks and the squadrons …. then send in special op forces to randomly slaughter Palestinians and inflict horror upon them. Scare them shitless. Secondly, systematically eliminate anyone who utters the phrase, “from the river to sea ….”

It’s their blood or ours. That’s where we are at.

    • Amazona's avatar Amazona November 2, 2023 / 11:39 am

I can’t condone terrorist attacks on civilians, even complicit civilians. I think Israel is doing the right thing right now. They are clearing out Gaza, they are targeting the leaders and they are pushing them to publicly state that the conflict is not about land, it is about genocide.

What the civilized world needs to do is go after the fellow travelers. That “doxxing truck” at Harvard is freaking people out. I’d donate to a group identifying every person marching in a pro-Palestine march and going that person’s home town to post posters of that face with the caption “publicly supports beheading of babies in their cribs, burning toddlers alive and raping women and girls till blood rushes out between their legs”. Make the parents and families of those people live with the shame of what their kids are supporting. I would publicly tie every person who can be identified with the New (not “Neo”) Nazis and link them to Hitler if they use the “rivers to the sea” terminology, which is just another way of saying Final Solution. Follow them on LinkedIn and all social media, and make their support for Hamas part of their identity, so they have trouble finding jobs and are shunned by people around them.

Start using the term “fellow traveler” and define it, and stay very vocal with the message that defending those who burn children to death is defense of burning children to death. Call them out on their blatant racism, and call them out on their misogyny. “Queers for Palestine” means “Queers for killing queers”. Women for Palestine means women for brutal gang rape.

Israel can fight its own battles, especially with some funding from the US, but we need to fight the propaganda battle here and we need to be merciless when it comes to savagely branding Hamas supporters for what they are. And we need to refuse to let people get away with “supporting Palestine is not the same as supporting Hamas”.

This portion of an essay at the Blaze really resonated with me:

Should Democrats and conniving anti-Trump Republicans succeed in jailing the 45th president and abolishing free and fair elections, America will only nominally exist. Our unique and remarkable status as the longest-running continuous “democracy” in world history will end abruptly. Our democracy is at stake in 2024, and it is those pursuing and condoning the imprisonment of Donald Trump who threaten to end it.

Democracy and our own constitutional republic are fragile things, wholly dependent upon unanimous reverence for the rule of law by every citizen and the steadfast yet delicate attachment of the citizenry to its government. A government that recklessly disregards both the will of the people and the rule of law loses the trust and consent of the governed. Such a government cannot last.

The Democratic Party’s lawlessness has alienated the American people, who now entertain the righteous but discomforting thought of exchanging our currently corrupt and compromised government for another. It was President Lincoln who made the same observation two decades before the Civil War.

Speaking to the Young Men’s Lyceum of Springfield, Illinois, on January 27, 1838, Lincoln said:

“I know the American People are much attached to their Government; — I know they would suffer much for its sake; — I know they would endure evils long and patiently, before they would ever think of exchanging it for another. Yet, notwithstanding all this, if the laws be continually despised and disregarded, if their rights to be secure in their persons and property, are held by no better tenure than the caprice of a mob, the alienation of their affections from the Government is the natural consequence; and to that, sooner or later, it must come.”

The really scary thing about that is that, if there are enough of them and they span multiple generations (which I think they do), that kind of collective ignorance coupled with an entitlement mentality could very well usher in a new Dark Age.

I’ve thought for years now that we are approaching a new age of aristocracy, as only the people who have gone to good private schools or been educated at home will be qualified to be in charge of companies and nations and there will be a whole new era of serfs, economic peasants who can only work for others and have to be told what to do and how to do it.

Try reading some of the stories online and you will stumble over misspellings and misuse of homonyms, in particular, because no one reads any more so no one knows what words are supposed to look like. I worked with kids from an upper middle class home, who got good grades in school but never read a book, and I was amazed at what they didn’t know. After a few references from two of the kids and then one of the parents about a “window seal” I realized they just didn’t know it is a window SILL. When I finally pointed this out I was challenged, told I was wrong, and then when an online search proved me right everyone was mad. Same thing for “rod” iron instead of “wrought” iron. Everybody is just winging it, guessing at spelling based on how words sound so we have an effort to “reign it in” instead of “rein it in”.

Class distinctions will no longer be based on if someone knows how to use a finger bowl or which fork to use, but on grasp of our language. But as long as we give diplomas and degrees and teaching certificates to people who are only marginally literate we will be allowing those people to pass on their lack of knowledge to the next generation, and the rot will accelerate.
