Yesterday everyone got into a blue funk over losing the abortion fight in Ohio…except all it did was enshrine into the Ohio constitution what was already Ohio law. It was a clever tactic by the Democrats, though, and it will be used everywhere in 2024…get abortion initiatives on the ballot in order to drive turnout because, apparently, nothing is more important to suburban white women than making sure black women can get abortions (39% of all abortions in 2020 were done on black women – who make up about 12% of the female population). But, don’t get yourself in too much of a fret about it.
We scored some big local victories in New York City – in areas carried by Pudding Brain by 30 points. Seems like New Yorkers (outside Manhattan) are finally having enough of this woke garbage. No, NYC will not vote GOP in 2024…but if we’re seeing deep blue areas shift right even a little bit, then it spells disaster for Democrats at the national level in 2024. Just a few percentage points of deep blue areas moving GOP means Democrats will have an increasingly hard time winning PA, MI, WI…and even MN. We also did a bit of this on the local level in New Jersey and while (as expected) we came up short in the PA Supreme Court race, we once again pressed forward with victories at the county and school board level which are vastly more important right now.
Some people are now calling the Life issue toxic – I don’t agree. I agree that we’re losing on the issue, but I disagree that it is a losing issue for us. Our primary problem is that we’re not responding. The GOP is simply hoping the issue goes away. Can’t do that; can’t leave the field to the Democrats. In 2022 here in Nevada we were bombarded 24/7 by pro-abortion advertising on all media platforms and it almost certainly cost us a Senate and two House seats. I’m not saying the GOP response was weak – I was here; it was non-existent. Nobody even mentioned the matter on the GOP side. We lost the Nevada Senate race by 8,000 votes after Democrats spent months and tens of millions advertising on abortion. Just a bit of pushback on our side and we could easily have flipped 4,000+ of those votes. We do need to carefully think about how we want to go forward. It is clear that at the moment we do not have an electoral majority in favor of banning abortion. That is sad but entirely to be expected given overall social conditions. We have to tune our message to reasonable restrictions which are backed by large majorities and they must be coupled with massive help for pregnant women.
As the Gaza war grinds on it has become increasingly clear to me that we have to be very forthright about our views on the matter. No more trying to be nice about it. No more tip toeing around Leftist hate. Call it what it is. As I pointed out on X, you don’t get to crawl off the Israeli girl you just raped and set on fire and claim Geneva Convention protections. Such people are to be shot out of hand and only granted mercy if they abjectly surrender. And any deaths resulting from getting at Hamas are entirely on Hamas. They did deeds which have removed them from any protection of the law. Until they are on their knees they are simply to be killed. And everyone around them should shun them and flee their presence. Better to risk Hamas shooting you in the back then remain in place as their human shields. If you don’t run, it is assumed you want to be a shield.
But more than that, we also need to clearly call out the pro-Hamas people. They are trying to hide it. They have to. But anyone refusing to outright condemn Hamas – personnel and ideology – is an accessory to Hamas’ savagery. No decent person can have anything to do with Hamas, and those who are still carrying their water – by whatever verbal gymnastics – have to called out as the evil people they are. We’re not trying to silence dissent; we are out to completely condemn the evil. It must become that no person, anywhere, will raise their voice in support of Hamas. They must be made as toxic as their actions make them.
I’ve been watching the debate and I have to say, I am favorably impressed. I don’t think Scott is ready for the presidency, and I don’t think Haley and Ramaswamy are even eligible, but overall I felt for the first time that every person on the stage had something to offer that was reasonable and thoughtful. Ramaswamy has toned down a little of his “I’m the smartest kid in the class” obnoxiousness, and in spite of his efforts to hog the discourse does have some decent ideas.
Two things impressed me. One was this has been the best-moderated debate I have seen. I haven’t seen much Lib bias and it has been pretty even-handed. And the other is that even though I have strong feelings about the eligibility or qualifications of some of the hopefuls every single one of them would be a vast improvement over what we have. There seemed to be a general uniformity of ideas and agendas, even though some of the people worked really hard to create the impression that his or her position was remarkably different/better than someone else’s.
I still think DeSantis is the best of the lot, as far as being qualified and ready for the presidency, but it is heartening to see the depth of the GOP bench. I didn’t agree with everything everyone said, but every position was well presented and had some merit, whether I agreed with it or not. That is unusual. One thing that did impress me was Christie’s position regarding the desire to have a federal law about abortion, that it’s not in the Constitution so why are we talking about it.
And it occurred to me that this might be educational for moderate Democrats, who can see five thoughtful reasonable people making thoughtful reasonable arguments for or against different positions, while on their side their presumptive candidate won’t even debate and their party won’t sponsor a debate and as far as I can tell hasn’t even set our any solid solutions for dealing with our problems other than Orange Man Bad and Making America Great Again is unAmerican.
Best opening line EVER in a GOP debate

Vivek is dropping truth bombs. This is the attitude we need in the GOP

Glad to see this:
‘DeSantis did what he needed to do,’ said donor Dan Eberhart. ‘He was calm, measured and presidential.
‘He showed he’s the only alternative to Trump.’
This is a contest between DeSantis and Trump so let’s just get there. I didn’t watch the debate but probably should have. Vivek’s opening line was 100% spot on, and his comments on Ukraine are again, right in target. I will only vote for DeSantis or Trump, but I would like to see Vivek have a prominent role in their administrations. Haley is too much of a war monger, and Christie is simply an opportunist and an anti Trump candidate.

(39% of all abortions in 2020 were done on black women – who make up about 12% of the female population). But, don’t get yourself in too much of a fret about it.
I think abortion is a barbaric practice, and we are one of only seven countries on the planet that allows elective abortion after 20 weeks. That said, that 39% who are black overwhelmingly vote Democrat, like 95% +. Between 1973 and 2019 nearly three fourths of women who had abortions were unmarried, a demographic that also votes overwhelmingly Democrat. If our adversary wants to legally eliminate future generations, I’m at a loss to find a reason why we should try to stop them.
We have to tune our message to reasonable restrictions which are backed by large majorities and they must be coupled with massive help for pregnant women.
I could not agree more.
I am staunchly pro life, but at the same time, I don’t think Democrat women should reproduce … I mean just look at the results so far. More importantly though, selfish, single issue voters are destroying this country.
Did I stutter?
Maybe you are too dim to know satire. This is why people like you are just miserable fucks. You’re no fun, have no humor, don’t understand what a republic is, support big government, foreign wars, and the extermination of Jews. You’re just a complete waste of flesh.
Yet he succeeds in getting your clicks and your attention, which is all he wants anyway. Without your response he simply leaves fleeting stains on the blog. The kind of stain referred to as “skid marks” but not related to tires.
Interesting you didn’t object to anything else I said. Nuff said. You are the problem this country must confront and eliminate
Maybe you are to dim to realize this. But yours is not a staunchly pro-life position.
Believing that the mentally ill should not reproduce has nothing to do with holding pro-life views.
Preventing conception is not the same as killing life once it has been conceived. I haven’t seen a post suggesting that Lib women get pregnant and then kill their children
Efforts to provide help for pregnant women have been blocked as much as possible by the pro-death cult. There are resources for unmarried pregnant women—–counseling, financial aid, introductions to couples eager to adopt who will pay all living expenses during and for a short time after the pregnancy in exchange for being able to adopt the baby. These resources are advertised on billboards, for the most part, in efforts to reach the women who need them, but pro-death advocates will not allow any such information to be made available in or near their abortion mills.
Take 25 minutes of your day today and listen to this … We can not allow the media and the Democrats to escape accountability on Russia collusion, Jan 6, and stealing the 2020 election. They want this to go away …. no chance

Does this surprise anyone? That an extremist was working for CNN?
CNN fires freelance Gaza photojournalist who was EMBEDDED with Hamas during Oct 7 terror attacks and had prior knowledge of the siege
And Vivek asked Kirsten Welker a question last night that I still expect her to answer.
AP and CNN say their guy wasn’t there but what the hell, they fired him anyway. Yeah, that’s convincing. Reuters mumbles something about not knowing in advance, evidently also playing the “what a coincidence our guy just happened to be there” game. But as usual it is the NYT that wallows in disgusting excuse-making:
The New York Times also issued a statement about accusations made against another freelance photographer, Yousef Massoud, who was mentioned in HonestReporting’s report.
“Though Yousef was not working for The Times on the day of the attack, he has since done important work for us,” the company said. “There is no evidence for Honest Reporting’s insinuations. Our review of his work shows that he was doing what photojournalists always do during major news events, documenting the tragedy as it unfolded.”
Yeah, merely “documenting the tragedy as it unfolded”. The weasel words of the Complicit Agenda Media are shameful in their moral and intellectual dishonesty. And after all, this ghoul’s work has been “important”—-of course, preens the NYT, it was for them and therefore by definition “important”.
Shades of Walter Duranty.
A member of Israel’s war cabinet, Benny Gantz, also used the report to question whether journalists had prior knowledge of the attack.
“Journalists found to have known about the massacre, and still chose to stand as idle bystanders while children were slaughtered – are no different than terrorists and should be treated as such,” he posted on X.
The response? To bleat and whine about “disinformation” making them look bad.
It’s also obvious that these “photojournalists” tried to help cover up the atrocities committed. They just so happened to get zero pictures of civilians being killed despite being on the scene as the murderers were happening. Does anyone believe that wasn’t purposeful?
No one expects her to answer. We are supposed to overlook the damage done by the lying, the false reporting, the invented narratives designed to divide this nation into mutually distrusting factions. None of these bottom feeders will ever take responsibility for the havoc they generate. The worst thing is, it isn’t even just in pursuit of ratings. It is manipulation of a population to advance a malignant and destructive political system grasping for power.
No accountability. These media hacks can say anything and they are never held to account. It’s a big problem. Rashida Tlaib has been inciting violence amongst her supporters and a Jewish man was killed. No accountability. Ali Velshi and Medhi Hasan are still employed by MSNBC and they have incited violence with BLM, Antifa in the recent past, and are now doing the same with Palestinians. No accountability. And yet America still believes Trump supporters are the danger. YCMTSU – which I was recently accused of doing lol
Forty, you are human debris and are aligned with people now calling for the extermination of the Jewish people and persecuting domestic political opponents. That is unforgivable so your time here has expired.
The recent quote below sums up the logic we have to confront with people like fielding and forty. This is how they think which, for logical people, is hard to wrap your head around
OLYMPIC CHAMP SAYS BEING BORN WITH INTERNAL TESTICLES DOESN’T ‘MAKE ME LESS OF A WOMAN’
He is correct. Having testicles at all, anywhere in the body, does not make him “less of a woman” because there is nothing less than zero. He is not in any way a woman, just as a woman who has no ovaries is not a man.
One article about this person uses a great term trans fantasists
The explanation for his condition is this: “he has a condition in which “genetic males contain normal male internal structures including testes, but exhibit ambiguous or female external genitalia at birth; at puberty, they undergo partial virilization which includes development of a male gender identity even if brought up as females.” That is, unless there is an advantage to pretending to be female.
ambiguous or female external genitalia at birth does not seem to include ovaries, a uterus or a vagina. If he does not have the physical components necessary to ovulate or to menstruate, he can’t claim to be a woman. I also note the careful avoidance of any mention of any EXTERNAL male genitalia. In other words, can he pee standing up?
Women’s sports defender Riley Gaines tweeted (or X’d, or whatever) Semenya’s statement Tuesday with the comment: “Of course, this outlandish statement went totally unchallenged this morning. Semenya is not a woman with high testosterone levels. He is a male with normal testosterone levels.”
In the animal world, undescended or hidden testes still identify the animal as a male, which exhibits all the behavior traits of males.
Vivek was right …
Absent Trump declared real winner of the debate AGAIN: With viewing figures dropping by almost 50%, Daily Mail poll finds ex-president made the right call to skip – and time is running out for his Republican rivals
Why does Ronna Romney McDaniel allow NBC to host a GOP debate?? She doesn’t have a clue who the GOP base is. And Lester Holt and Kirsten Welker have demonstrably lied to the American people, are admittedly Democrats, and have zero credibility. It’s malpractice for her to do that, and she should resign. I want to see Tucker Carlson host a debate.
More than a third of the Wyoming Legislature signed a resolution Thursday initiated by state Sen. Dan Laursen, R-Powell, that affirms support for Israel and condemns the terrorist group Hamas.
…………………………..
Overall, 35 members from both chambers of the Legislature signed the resolution, including Senate President Ogden Driskill, R-Devils Tower, and Majority Floor Leader Rep. Chip Neiman, R-Hulett. No Democrats signed on.
Make criminality normal
Good one.
Make degeneracy acceptable is another
I’m thinking Elon really didn’t think it through. When he changed the name of Twitter to X, what we got was a Prince-like “X formerly known as Twitter” reference, which was just clumsy. But I doubt that he anticipated anyone referring to it as Xitter. If this catches on we might be looking at a new name, again.
LOL, I’m not a fan of the name X either but Elon will be Elon
Have you sounded out the name Xitter? Think of China’s President Xi.
That’s good
I just got back from a terrific Veterans Day program at my great-granddaughter’s elementary school. With over 600 kids, grades K-5 assembled and around 50 veterans present, the kids sang each of the 5 services anthems, winners of the “What does land of the free and home of the brave” mean to you” essay contest read their essays aloud, and concluded with the kids singing God Bless America. There were more than a few moist eyes in the crowd. Completely renewed my faith in America’s future.
After the program the kids took their veterans to their class rooms where we got asked all sorts of interesting questions. My favorite question: what is your favorite MRE (meals ready to eat)? The guy next to me was also Navy, and we both looked at each other and laughed and chimed in together, “the Navy eats real food.”
LOL – well, cooked food, anyway.
Laugh for the day/
MIAMI, FL — Last night’s Republican presidential debate was brought to a grinding halt as former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley was stumped by a moderator asking her to list any countries in the world she doesn’t want to invade.
“I don’t understand the question,” a bewildered Haley said in response. “You’re asking me about countries to not invade? Why would there be any countries I wouldn’t want to invade? Is this a trick question?”
LMAO
Gotta love the Babylon Bee. I think it was Bongino yesterday who quoted a Babylon Bee satire from, I think, 2018, that recently came true, something to do with a congress person and Hamas. Was it you or Amazona who recently said today’s conspiracy theory becomes tomorrow’s truth?
… becomes tomorrows headlines. Yup, that’s been a common refrain for a couple years now and accurate I might add lol. And I have yet to hear Nikki Haley talk about any domestic issues other than abortion. It’s like 2020 never happened and she just hopes to pick up where George Bush and Dick Cheney left off. It’s a different party now Nikki. Read the room.
Read the room. Or the Constitution
Haley and Ramaswamy both fail to meet the Constitutional requirement for being natural born citizens.
From a 2015 article on The Meaning Of Natural Born Citizen”:
While some constitutional issues are truly difficult, with framing-era sources either nonexistent or contradictory, here, the relevant materials clearly indicate that a “natural born Citizen” means a citizen from birth with no need to go through naturalization proceedings. The Supreme Court has long recognized that two particularly useful sources in understanding constitutional terms are British common law and enactments of the First Congress. Both confirm that the original meaning of the phrase “natural born Citizen” includes persons born abroad who are citizens from birth based on the citizenship of a parent.
As to the British practice, laws in force in the 1700s recognized that children born outside of the British Empire to subjects of the Crown were subjects themselves and explicitly used “natural born” to encompass such children. These statutes provided that children born abroad to subjects of the British Empire were “natural-born Subjects . . . to all Intents, Constructions, and Purposes whatsoever.” The Framers, of course, would have been intimately familiar with these statutes and the way they used terms like “natural born,” since the statutes were binding law in the colonies before the Revolutionary War. They were also well documented in Blackstone’s Commentaries, a text widely circulated and read by the Framers and routinely invoked in interpreting the Constitution.
No doubt informed by this longstanding tradition, just three years after the drafting of the Constitution, the First Congress established that children born abroad to U.S. citizens were U.S. citizens at birth, and explicitly recognized that such children were “natural born Citizens.” The Naturalization Act of 17908 provided that “the children of citizens of the United States, that may be born beyond sea, or out of the limits of the United States, shall be considered as natural born citizens: Provided, That the right of citizenship shall not descend to persons whose fathers have never been resident in the United States . . . .
While the laws referred to the situations in which citizens were abroad when their children were born, obviously this would also apply to children born on US soil. The issue is not one of geography, but of the citizenship of the parents determining the citizenship of the child.
Setting aside legitimate disagreements with the current interpretation of the 14th Amendment, that merely being born on US soil conveys citizenship, this amendment came along nearly 100 years after the natural born citizen requirement was included in the Constitution, and any interpretation of the term has to depend on the contemporaneous understanding of the term at the time it was used. Even if we try to retroactively apply the interpretation of citizenship conveyed by place of birth, that does not contradict the core definition of birth only to citizen parents. If anything, citizenship conveyed by place of birth rather than inherited from citizen parents implies that this is more closely related to the legal process of naturalization because it depends on a government action and not the natural assumption of inherited citizenship.
Haley’s parents were not citizens when she was born. Ramaswamy’s parents are still not citizens. for all his talk about the great benefits his parents have enjoyed due to being able to live in the United States.
BTW, I love Vivek’s description of Nikki: “Dick Cheney in heels.” I’m tired, and I think the vast majority of Americans are tired of endless, winless wars.
The Clay Travis/Buck Sexton take on Vivek’s comment was that he was talking about DeSantis’s boots, but I didn’t get that and it looks like almost everyone thought he was talking about Nikki. Vivek didn’t go after DeSantis but he and Nikki sure don’t like each other.
I’m trying to remember if Christie attacked anyone but Trump. Nikki was just a bitch, showing that she can be tough but it did not come off well. Vivek was also bitchy. My favorite comment about him in a comments section was that it was obvious he never had many friends in school. I think DeSantis and Scott were the only ones who argued policy without attacking people.
