The Woke Legions determined to remove the statue of William Penn from Welcome Park in Pennsylvania. Nobody was 100% sure what the specific reason was though it was surmised that some Native American drivel was used to justify it. In general, of course, the reason is that the Woke hate Western Civilization as a whole…so even an anti-Slavery, pro-Native Quaker had to go. Looks like enough people got outraged and the removal is cancelled. Rely on it, that is only temporary. Joe Biden’s approval rating in Pennsylvania is in the sewer and Democrats are fearful of a blowout loss in the State come November. But if Pudding Brain gets back in, Penn will go…and even if Pudding Brain loses, the next Democrat Administration will try to get rid of the statue. They hate us; that is their prime motivation.
As of this point, I’m now insisting that we retain all statues – don’t care what they were placed for. I’d make the rule that if the statue or other public art has been there for more than fifty years, it stays forever. We’ll need local, State and federal legislation on this – but I am bound and determined to prevent the Woke occupation army from erasing American history. I’d rather be selective but I can’t – if I am not universal about it, they’ll eventually tear down the Washington Memorial.
The Fulton County, GA DA who is prosecuting Trump hired her boyfriend as special prosecutor…and paid him more than 600 grand. The lovely couple has already taken a couple cruises. There is no level of vile the Left won’t sink to. They lack all sense of morality.
The Establishment is still trying to get us to be shocked and horrified by what the IDF is doing in Gaza but it isn’t working. I don’t think we care what they say any more. As for the pro-Hamas demonstrations – that is clearly some Antifa/BLM astroturf…most Americans couldn’t point to Gaza on a map and simply don’t care about it. That they’re having thousands out almost daily disrupting normal life means they’re paying them…and we should be trying to find out who is funding it all.
As for the Gaza campaign – from what I understand the entirety of northern Gaza is in Israeli hands and they are systemically wrecking all of Hamas’ infrastructure before they move to the south part of Gaza to clear that out. My guess is that they’ll allow Gazans to move north as the IDF moves south…carefully screened at IDF checkpoints, to be sure. This is taking a lot longer than I thought it would but so far there seems to be no shaking in Israel’s resolve. I assume that is because as the full story of 10/7 has come out, it is so horrific that Israel is willing to take a lot of casualties to make sure it doesn’t happen again.
The Democrats – led by Pudding Brain – are still trying to triangulate their way out of this: that is, still trying to talk out of both sides of their mouth, on one side assuring Progressive Jews that they are for Israel while also assuring BLM types that they want Israel to stop. I don’t think it is working – more than one hard core Leftist out there has said he can’t back Biden for 2024 over this. And they’re right to do that – pick a side and go with it. Trying to straddle both sides here is weak and pathetic.

The Left isn’t even trying to hide its strategy of redefining words to allow it to prosecute people based on the new definitions, regardless of their actual historical meanings. Now they want to prosecute people who were completely nonviolent on J6, merely for being in the vicinity of what might have been illegal. The ruling by the judge in question also shows the dependence on that crystal ball the Left loves so much, allowing them to determine what a person is thinking—-“A three-judge panel of the DC Circuit Court of Appeals unanimously ruled that they were participants if people were aware of what was happening around them” and “….he (Defendant Russel Alford) made a deliberate choice to join the crowd and enter the Capitol when he was plainly not permitted to do so”. It also illustrates the DOJ agenda in its blatantly false claim that people in the Capitol “plainly knew” they were not permitted to be there, in spite of multiple videos showing Capitol police opening doors, greeting people and chatting with them as they strolled through the building.
Whole blocks of legal proceedings are based on the redefinition of “insurrection” to change it from an organized effort to overthrow a government and assume its powers to merely being unruly and disruptive, to the point of using this false definition as an excuse to rig the next election by keeping a political opponent off the ballot. The strategy has been used to prosecute people for actions that would never have been considered crimes in the past, and now the Left is actually using a court ruling to officially redefine a term to further expand its tyranny.
This could end up being one of those be-careful-what-you-wish-for scenarios. A Conservative-controlled Justice Department could use these new laws to prosecute Leftists engaged in “protests” as well.
Every Leftist believes in his heart that when the music stops he will have a chair. They never stop to think about what will happen when the pendulum swings back and the Other Side is playing by the rules they implemented back when they were grasping for more power. The elimination of the filibuster is a great example. It was such a great idea when the Left wanted to be able to get its way with a simple vote, and they melted down when it was used by the Right. For a political movement that constantly tells us how dangerous it is to be armed because the bad guy can always take that gun away from us and use it against us, they are remarkably oblivious to the parallels in political life.

Kind of makes you wonder about sites like this blog. No disrespect to Mark, but I suspect B4V is not on most Progressives’ radar. But for a handful of us it’s like having our own private political forum. I’ve come to view B4V much like I do the rural area on northeast Indiana where I live, largely uninfested with Leftists. The fact that the only Lefties who come here do so to attack rather than debate speaks volumes about where the political Left is at this point in history. Will there come a point where blogs like this are the only forums for Conservatives? If so, how long before that ends as well?
I’ve wondered the same thing. There was a time when it looked like B4B and then B4V had come onto Leftist radar as we were getting a lot of Leftist posts that were so vehement they didn’t sound like normal people expressing a different way of looking at things but were strident and often attacking in nature. That tapered off when admin started to edit the most egregious offenders, not to silence difference of opinion but merely to prevent the blog from being taken over by what was clearly a focused effort to dominate it and overwhelm the conservative voices.
One thing I’ve noticed when out and about is an increase in efforts of strangers to test the water, so to speak, to determine if it is safe to talk about conservative ideas. This tells me two things—-that there is genuine hesitation if not outright fear of talking about conservative ideas around those who don’t share the philosophy, and that there are a lot more of these hesitant people than we realize. I think both of those observations are significant.
I always think of other underground movements, whether closeted gays or resistance fighters in the war, where it was necessary to carefully toss out gradually more revealing comments to gauge reactions. It’s a sad day for our country when people who love it and believe in Constitutional governance feel this threatened.
Yep – we all self-censor these except when around people we fully trust. And various codes are stated, as well. The good news is that Musk is actually helping a bit with X. I still don’t trust him – he’s no ally – but it is at least allowing a bit of air into the room. Naturally the Left says they’ll leave X and they make their efforts to destroy it…but the bottom line is that X is the most user-friendly social media platform in existence. It is just unmatched in its ability to get a conversation rolling and help people connect up with those of similar interests.

Yahoo goes on to explain “Article 2, Section 1 of the Constitution says “no person except a natural born citizen, or a citizen of the United States” shall be eligible for the presidency. Except no, that’s not what it says. Leave it to the propaganda mill to misquote something as important as the Constitution. What the Constitution DOES say is this: ”

But necessary, to enable people who were citizens of other nations until the Constitution was written, to qualify for the presidency. Yahoo just edited that part out, so they could claim that just being a citizen was enough.
Of course, Yahoo also edited the terms of the 14th Amendment, claiming: “The amendment explicitly grants citizenship to “all persons born or naturalized in the United States.” But, again, no it doesn’t. It explicitly grants citizenship to persons born in the United States and not under the jurisdiction of the United States–that is, not to citizens of other nations.
It’s always hard to know if the talking heads on the Left are really as stupid as they sound, or just so totally lacking in any form or degree of integrity that they happily spout lies. But it doesn’t matter. What matters is that they are wrong. And nothing could make this more clear than the fact that they have to lie about the actual words in our Constitution to make their silly arguments.

ANYWAY, the point of my hard-to-read post is that the Left is panicking about the discussion of natural born citizen, to the point of calling out all the Usual Suspects to mount a full-scale offensive against the subject. From digging out old pejoratives like “birther” to falling back on the old standbys of “racist’ and “conspiracy theories’ they are telegraphing their fear.
True, they might just be seeing this as another way to attack Trump and his supporters, but there is an element of real panic here. The blatant misstating of the actual words of the Constitution, whether in Article 2, Section 1 or in the 14th Amendment, is a tacit admission that their only weapons here are deceit and ignorance.
I had speculated that the Left knew of this eligibility problem and was holding onto it in case Haley or Ramaswamy were to be chosen as a VP candidate, when they could triumphantly pull it out to great fanfare and disrupt the Republican ticket. This frantic effort to defend Haley’s qualifications makes me wonder, though. Maybe they really want her to be the VP, setting her up for a 2028 run against a true and therefore dangerous conservative, DeSantis, thereby cementing the Left’s hold on American governance. She has certainly gotten most if not all of her support from what we don’t usually think of as solid conservative sources. So I’m thinking maybe this sudden freakout and scurrying to man the barricades, even to the point of bizarre arguments, might be telegraphing something we need to keep an eye on.
One thing it is doing is providing the opportunity to shine a spotlight on the toxic combination of deceit (blatantly misquoting the Constitution) and utter stupidity (““There is no eligibility requirement for parents”) that make up the Left’s foundation, but I doubt that anyone on the Right has the chops to do this, except for Tucker and a couple of high-powered talk shows.
