The Trump trial gets ever more ridiculous by the day. The judge is just being massively unfair to the defense and is doing everything he can to help the prosecution. But even with that, it is clear the prosecutor doesn’t have a case. I’m still thinking we might get a hung jury here – perhaps even a not guilty. I mean it: the thing is such an obvious show trial that even a New York jury might figure this is just a step too far. But even with a guilty verdict, this thing will be vacated in short order on appeal. It is just drivel.
Meanwhile, Biden hits the trail and nobody shows up – Trump shows up in Manhattan to large, friendly crowds. There’s a couple outlier polls showing Biden even or slightly ahead – but even in that scenario, he loses. But most polls show Trump ahead, some significantly. Trump, to the absolute shock of everyone, is becoming popular…while Biden is increasingly despised. Everyone knows he’s senile and physically one foot on a banana peel. It is actually kinda insulting that the Democrats are trying to force him on us for another four years.

It’s hard to believe that the Dems would nominate Whitmer, although they’ve proven to be pretty tone deaf. It’s just that she doesn’t really have a following. State politics have protected her but nationally, I don’t think she has impressed a lot of people. Nominating Michelle would be such blatant pandering on racial grounds that I think it would offend a lot of people. There is building momentum against the concept of DEI and she would be the poster child for a DEI nomination and her dislike and disdain for this country are too obvious.
Unfortunately, I think a Michelle Obama candidacy would bring out the absolute worst in Donald Trump, who would be completely incapable of treating it with anything that did not reek of racism and sexism and bullying.
I think the Dems would go rummaging around in Congress looking for a Senator to fill the bill, or drag in some governor. As the only criterion for a Democrat candidate would be S/HE’S NOT TRUMP it probably doesn’t really matter who they pick although I do think they would go for race and gender as much as possible. It’s just that the black female Democrats are so distasteful, so obnoxious and so blatantly stupid that it really limits their choices.

The authorization for the FBI to use lethal force is bad enough. We don’t need Marjorie Taylor Greene adding to it with her shrill hysteria and wild-eyed claims that the intent was to assassinate President Trump. She needs to stop posturing for public attention.

The authorization to use lethal force (“if deemed necessary”), combined with the equipment that these people took to Mar-A-Lago, combined with their instructions to remain unidentifiable by wearing civilian clothing (after all, they still have those chinos and blue polos from that the time they posed as terrorists—might as well put them to good use) all provide an adequate and vivid portrayal of the mindset of the FBI. Let the Secret Service react to the implication that members of the Secret Service would engage the FBI in some sort of violent action requiring the use of guns and handcuffs. Give people time to process this information and come to their own realization that what we’re really talking about is approval of a federal agency to kill people in an effort to retrieve some papers. Let them consider that the FBI was not being sent in to rescue hostages or take down terrorists or capture armed bank robbers, but merely to retrieve some documents that had already been made available to government officials to examine.
Her squawking really just distracted from the reality of the situation and shifted the focus to her instead of keeping it on the FBI. Without her jumping up and down screeching LOOK AT ME LOOK AT ME LOOK AT ME the implications of the FBI’s approach to this would start to sink in and the imagery of stormtroopers attacking a private citizen would be far more compelling.

It could start with Waco, it could start with Ruby Ridge, it could include the BLM shooting and killing a rancher in a dispute over cattle grazing, but it wouldn’t have to go back that far. I’m starting to think that one of the secrets of the success of the American experiment is that it brought together people from different backgrounds—- I hate to use the word “diverse” but here it seems to apply—-in smaller and controlled numbers where they could easily slot into the society they were joining. That integration, coupled with the fact that they were here because they wanted to be part of America led to The Melting Pot concept and contributed to the strength of our society.
What we’re dealing with here is people who have never felt loyalty to this country, who have never wanted to be a part of it, who have nurtured seething and simmering resentments for generations and isolated themselves from society in general so there have not been societal influences to weaken that tribal mentality.
There was a time when they had leadership that was focused on leading them out of this racial and societal isolation that was first forced upon them and then became voluntary and a part of their identity. Dr. King understood that this phenomenon was detrimental to black people and would permanently keep them from being truly equal and for a time his message resonated with black people in this country. But unfortunately, it was not strong enough to overcome the propaganda machine of the Left, which depends so much on fragmenting our society and then turning those fragments against each other to create constant chaos and conflict. I think what we’re seeing now is not a battle so much of black versus white as much as it is Left versus Right with the black population being the cannon fodder the Left is using to create conflict and division in this country.
And wow are they determined to keep the band together for 2024: the Democrats must have 95% black female and 90% black male votes – and with very high black turnout – or they’re cooked. The Democrats are pulling out all the race-baiting tricks we’ve come to know.
Will it work?
Will appeals to worn out dogmas get black people to forget that they’re being shoved aside for illegals? That they’re schools still suck? That crime is rampant in their neighborhoods? That working class black people are feeling the bite of inflation worse than most?
We’re going to find out.

If I were part of a demographic that I didn’t think gets enough respect, I think that I would strive to put forth representatives of my demographic to present us in the best possible light. This is why I wonder why black women vote for women like Sheila Jackson Lee, Jasmine Crockett, Cori Bush, Maxine Waters, et al—-why do they choose to be represented by women who are so blatantly, almost clinically, stupid as well as mentally and emotionally unhinged?
I don’t think people like Marjorie Taylor Greene are elected because they are women, with the feeling that women need this kind of representation, but I still cringe at her antics because I don’t want women in positions of authority to be seen the way I think she is seen. If she had run on the platform of “I’m a white woman, so white women should vote for me” and presents herself as a representative of white women, it would be even worse.
I think that if black people plan to vote as a monolithic voting bloc to put as many black people in positions of power and authority as possible they need to be a little bit more careful about who they vote for and not just base their decisions on skin color. Because they have developed a pattern of putting the most laughable morons in Congress in their positions and in a way they’re saying “This is the best we have to offer, and in our entire race we can’t come up with anybody better than Hank Johnson or Jasmine Crockett”. It seems like an odd strategy if the goal is to send the message that black people are not inferior.
Machine politics still work in the black community; a coalition of Leftist pastors, social agitators and conventional grifters sets the tone and does all it can – and it is a lot – via black media to keep the Narrative intact. It is slowly breaking down…that is why we’ve seen a little shift to Trump. But it will be a generation getting out from under the Black Ruling Class.
Another factor that may figure in to a gradual shift of blacks away from the Democrat Party is the fact that the race card has been so worked to death that it’s becoming less and less effective. We’re going to get to a point where Conservatives will be able to criticize the people that blacks have voted to represent them in government (at all levels) based on their incompetence without fear of being called racist. Not quite there yet, but it’s a phenomenon that’s going to be hard to reverse. The GOP just needs to figure out how to be the party of opportunity vs. the party of free stuff.
I think when the race hustlers openly rejected the Martin Luther King message, that affected a lot of black people. King had been held up as nearly a saint, martyred for the principled leadership of his people, and after decades of citing him as the most important and influential black person of our time black people were suddenly told to reject his message of ignoring the color of one’s skin and judging a person solely on his character because now the only thing that matters is the color of his skin. I’ve often wondered how that resonates with the generations who revered Dr. King.
You mention the “stay-at-homes”—–the polls don’t seem to take into consideration the enthusiasm factor. It’s one thing to answer a poll question about whether you are more likely to vote for Biden or Trump and another to care enough to actually cast your vote. While I see numbers suggesting support for Biden, I don’t see enthusiasm for him. It almost feels more like resignation, like “Well, this is the guy the Dems are giving us so I guess I don’t have much choice” but there’s a lot of energy in the support for Trump.
The strategy of “do you hate Trump enough to come out and vote against him?” seemed to be pretty effective in 2020—not 81-million effective but enough to get some votes even for a poor candidate. I think that strategy is losing some ground. In spite of all the frantic efforts to drum up even more hatred for Trump. What I’m seeing is the inability to maintain that level of passion, and the Left is succeeding in doing what one might think is impossible—making a brash super rich arrogant obnoxious person a sympathetic character by making him a symbol of Everyman fighting corruption and the crushing power of a tyrannical State.
So far Trump hasn’t made a really big deal out of Biden himself personally wielding the power of the State to crush a citizen but I’m betting that once the nomination is formalized this is going to be a focal point of his campaign, and I don’t think it’s something that Biden can dodge. If Trump—–and more importantly his surrogates—-can assemble and present a precise and coherent narrative Illustrating the Stalinization of the United States under the administration of Joe Biden, I think it can be very powerful. They need to drop the “poor me” whining of phrases like “witch hunt”—–which makes it all about Trump—-and shift the narrative to “this could happen to anyone” because this election should really be about the direction the entire country is going, regarding how it treats its citizens, and not just how it treats Donald Trump.
The biggest opposition Donald Trump has in this election is not Joe Biden, it is the success of the demonization of Donald Trump in the minds of so many people, and I think it will be important to shift the focus of this election away from Donald Trump the man to Donald Trump the representative of the return to government of the people and by the people instead of government against the people. The Right has to start presenting this election as not just a vote for a man but a vote for a government that does not use its might and power to crush political opposition, that does not force people to obey its edicts if they want to be employed or have the freedom to travel, that does not spy on citizens and that equally applies the rule of law. This has to become a Big Picture election, not just a Donald Trump election, and if this is done successfully I think it will significantly cut into that segment of the population inclined to vote for Joe Biden just because he’s a Democrat because it will shift the calculation away from identity of individuals into the identity of our nation.
Remember Brad Smith, the former head of the FEC who was expected to testify for Trump regarding federal election laws? When the judge ruled that basically he could testify on anything except federal election laws the Trump team chose not to even have him testify at all, but he has gone on social media to talk about what he would have said if allowed to. Now we can see what it was that the judge colluded with the prosecution in hiding from the jury:

The judge has been pretty consistent in keeping relevant facts out of the trial. Clearly he has no concern whatsoever about his reputation from this point on, to the point where I at least am wondering if his motivation has gone beyond mere political bias to being rewarded in some other way for the way he’s handled this.

During the 2020 campaign. I saw a couple of long C-SPAN videos of then Vice President Joe Biden swearing in various Senators and Representatives and cabinet members, which showed extremely clear videos of him repeatedly fondling the young daughters and granddaughters of the people he was swearing in, during the posed photo ops. One of the most egregious examples was the way he massaged the chest of Michael Bennett’s young daughter, actually giving it a nasty little tweak before he let go of her. I always wondered why these videos didn’t get much attention.

Thad Cochran’s daughter got stroked at 10:40 and a very young girl I think might be Mike Enzi’s granddaughter was disgustingly snuggled, repeatedly, at 31:07. Remember the photo of the young girl with the long red hair shrinking away from Biden as he kind of loomed over her? The video of this exchange at 52:04 is far more vivid, and the reaction of the daughter of Steve Daines to Biden’s attentions at 1:20 speaks for itself.
The C-SPAN videos I saw back in 2020 were a different montage of photo ops with the vice president but there was a series of at least 10 examples of Biden either groping the chests of young girls or pulling them into his crotch while they were all posing for photos. If C-SPAN keeps all of its videos in archives it should be possible to find these if anybody really wants to.
