First off, it wasn’t even close.
I did a search of my X account and found a post I did 9/18/2024 where I figured that Trump was going to win 312 Electoral Votes with a 50/50 shot at a popular vote win. Keep in mind that I didn’t know. It was a guess – a rather sophisticated guess but I was talking about the future. But ever bit of factual data I could see on September 18th suggested a significant Trump win.
I did a bit of another search and on X as early as 8/22/2022 I was suggesting that Pennsylvania was the next Florida – that is, the next Purple State to go Red. Why did I think that? Because really since 2016, all voter registration trends in Pennsylvania favored the GOP. You can’t ignore crucial data like that – not if you want to understand American politics. The major political parties invest huge amounts of time and money registering voters and they don’t do it for fun: power and money are at stake at the end of the process. It is a crucial aspect of political power in the United States…and the Party that is gaining voters is the Party getting ready to win…if not now, then soon. Pennsylvania is still not Red…but if the GOP keeps up the effort, then by 2032 it will be – that is, a State where Democrats will find it increasingly difficult to win anything, let alone the State’s Electoral Votes.
I’m not some super genius. I know that lots of political pundits like to make it seem like they are possessed of esoteric knowledge, but it is really no more than checking a Secretary of State website. It is right there for anyone to see…and you really don’t even have to do your work here because there are data nerds all over the place – Left and Right – who handily collect the data and provide it in easily read graphs. What I saw in September – and in 2022 – was something anyone could see. And yet all through this election cycle, almost the entirety of the MSM and the pundit class was telling you the Democrats had the advantage. They were just lying. Nothing more. They were serving the Democrat Narrative.
Which turned out to be a pretty bad idea. As was once famously said: C’est pire qu’un crime, c’est une faute. It is worse than a crime: it is an error.
You know how many times I have said that they lie, they lie all the time, they lie about everything, they lie when the truth would work better? Well, this was definitely one of those cases where the truth would have served them better – had they simply told the truth, that Trump was doing well right out the gate, they might have ditched Biden earlier, or found a better replacement, or run a very different campaign. But, the thing about liars is they’re rather stupid – they mostly only get away with it as long as nobody calls them out on it. Trump called them out.
What will the new Trump term look like? No idea, really. MAGA covers a lot of ground. My biggest concerns are reigning in the Deep State – especially America’s law enforcement and intelligence agencies. Firing lots of people. Hiring patriots. Making strict laws and rules about how such agencies must have as their first duty obedience to law and protection of the rights of the American people. It really is better that a hundred guilty men escape than one innocent be jailed. Right now, any American coming up against federal law enforcement is essentially guilty unless the federal government decides to let them go. That has to change. Those who enforce the law must be most committed to restricting their own activities and only acting against an American citizen when they have iron-clad proof of law breaking.
Everyone else will likely have different primary concerns but to me the first goal is to make certain that if we lose in 2028 or later, the federal government will simply lack the capacity to oppress me.
This is, no matter how you slice it, just the first of very many steps. A very long process. It took a century for the American Left to destroy Law and make the Constitution a dead letter. It will take us a while to restore it all – and restore it in the face of an American population which doesn’t fully understand the reason for certain Constitutional requirements. But they do understand basic justice – and that is the pivot we can use to advance our reforms.
I feel proud to be an American today. My people proved they are still free – not serfs in waiting. We can save our nation.
But they do understand basic justice
I think that was a major factor in this election. I truly believe that the majority of Americans believe in fair play and equal justice, and Trump was the victim of foul play and unequal justice times 10. Many realized that if they could do to trump what they did with impunity, then they could do that to anyone.
Many realized that if they could do to trump what they did with impunity, then they could do that to anyone.
And that is important. If a powerful billionaire can be persecuted by his own government, what’s the little guy going to do when they come for him?
And if a guy can be held without trial for a year and then sentenced to solitary confinement, a punishment reserved for the worst of criminals who pose a danger to everyone, because he supports a political opponent, how can the little guy feel safe in expressing his own political views?
I think perhaps other examples of Leftist tyranny were starting to affect people. For example, parents who think their school boards represent them and should be responsive to their concerns had to suddenly come to grips with the fact that school boards were acting like they had control over the children, and parents could be removed from meetings and even arrested for expressing those concerns. They were starting to realize that they could be defined by the State as “domestic terrorists” for wanting to know what their children were being taught, or for believing what used to be so accepted it didn’t even have to be stated—-that there should not be explicit sexual content in school libraries.
They saw Catholics being branded as “domestic terrorists” and “enemies of the State” merely for being Catholic. They saw armed officers and bomb sniffing dogs checking Tulsi Gabbard’s luggage at airports every time she flew, and armed Air Marshals on every plane with her, merely because she had voiced opposition to some of the current administration’s policies. This was after they saw friends and neighbors lose their jobs or get kicked out of the military for refusing to inject an experimental drug because one man sat at a desk in the Oval Office and signed an Executive Decree—this didn’t feel very American to them.
The heavy hand of the Leftist State quickly becomes the jackboot of the Leftist State, and this was starting to sink in.
My Mrs broke her hip two weeks ago and had to have hip replacement – so, hospital, surgery, rehab. Lots of pain. But her determination was that I simply not neglect to get her ballot in for Trump. It really worried her that with all my back and forth from home to hospital/rehab that I’d forget it. She’s not a political person. Despises politicians…but she felt that we really had to do all we could to get Trump back in…for the grandchildren…so they could be free. And, yes, Peanut the squirrel played a role here…it was the topper, as it were – these people are insane tyrants and they simply had to be stopped.
OUCH! re: hip. A friend just had her hip replaced this summer and I have two knee replacements in my near future, so I commiserate. I hope she’s over the worst of it. Going into Week 3 she ought to be feeling better.
It’s interesting and probably indicative that she had so much focus on getting her vote in. (And it helped—tell her thank you from me,) I was wondering how much of the howling about “saving democracy” really made people think “instead of what we’ll get from another Democrat”.
And it’s comforting to know that Peanut did not die in vain. Few squirrels have that honor.
Thanks! She is moving around a lot better; we got her home yesterday. Still a lot of pain – but that’s just my Mrs: always slow to heal from cuts and bruises and they do cut and bruise a lot when they are replacing a hip! Has to use a walker for stability but we hope in a couple weeks that won’t be necessary.
I had my right hip replaced 6 years ago this month. The surgery was on a Friday afternoon, and I was walking without a cane Monday morning. I was playing basketball on it in 30 days. There really wasn’t any prescribed rehab program, just walking on it. The left knee, which I had replaced the year before was another story: 6 weeks of intensive rehab, and my range of motion never got back to what it was, which is pretty normal.
Well you sure cheered ME up, Spook!
My right knee is doomed to die – I hurt it first when I was a kid, actually, and its just slowly but surely wearing down. Its almost slipped out from underneath me a few times of late! Doc said to put off the replacement as long as possible: basically, as long as it works and the pain isn’t too bad, just keep going. But one day it will go.
My docs told me the same thing almost 50 years ago, after I hurt both knees in an auto accident. I think I’ve done a good job of following that advice, but the time has come. I did PRP on the right knee last year and I think it has helped,, but part of the treatment involved injections of hyaluronic acid as well and I had a reaction to what they put in the HA and my knee has been badly swollen since then—the tissue around the knee, not from the joint—and that affected the pain level, but now, a year later, the knee itself is feeling a lot better. A friend swears by PRP and I’ve heard a lot of good things about it, and think I’ll get another PRP injection on that knee plus one for the left, before I head south for the winter. Just no HA this time around. It wouldn’t hurt for you to look into it, though if stability is a problem it might be too late.
A friend told me that robotically-assisted knee replacement seems to result in less healing pain and faster recover. The technology there is amazing.
I haven’t gone for any injections yet because I tolerate pain very well; but it is starting to hurt a lot more than it used to so I might go that route before too long as the last stop-gap before surgery.
Don’t wait too long for PRP. It is regenerative to some degree but it needs something to work with. It means Platelet Rich Plasma and they draw your own blood and spin it down and then inject the concentrated plasma into the joint. It’s basically stem cell treatment. Mine started to feel better (inside the joint) within a few weeks but it took several months to really see a difference. That was slowed by the inflammation surrounding the knee. It still aches, but it is tolerable, and the agonizing pain is gone. It even feels more stable. The more damage you do to the knee by continuing to use it the less effective PRP can be. PRP won’t have a negative effect on the outcome but it might slow the degeneration and maybe even regenerate some cartilage. Doctors will tell you this can’t be regenerated but there’s evidence that it can, at least to some extent.
While PRP and Stem Cell therapies are both biological and used to assist in the treatment damaged tissue, they are quite different. As already noted, PRP is a high concentration of platelets taken directly from the patient and injected in the cite of concern. Stem cells however are undifferentiated “master cells”, meaning they can adapt by changing into the necessary cell type to assist in regenerating or replacing damaged cells. The stem cells take on the necessary characteristics of the affected area. Stem cell therapy is generally more involved and therefore more expensive.
I know they are not the same, but both rely on the body regenerating after treatment from organic stimulation of generation of tissue and it’s just easier to “explain” PRP by saying it is kind of like stem cell treatment.
Are they EVER going to call Arizona? Cluster? WTF!
That’s our Governor Hobbs … completely worthless. Here’s my suspicion, I think Hobbs thought this whole race would come down to AZ and she wanted to play king maker. It backfired, but the counting delay tactics didn’t change. AZ needs to be reformed and we need to kick the Leftists out of this State too.
In the Nevada Senate race they haven’t even counted 90%. Unfortunately, it looks like Sam Brown will come up short – this was a blown opportunity, I think. The Senate GOP did pour a lot of late money in but they let Rosen thermonuke Brown for 60 days on the abortion issue (every ad a bald-faced lie on the issue) before they did and it looks like that will make the difference. I can only figure that since Brown is overtly MAGA, McConnell just didn’t want to put resources into it. Still a chance – but I’d give him only a 10% chance of pulling this off.
We might actually have a better chance with Lake – Trump’s lead in Arizona is getting large!
Still over 1 million votes to count in AZ and Lake is only down by 60,000 Let’s hope she wins 🙏
The “leadership” in Arizona has no shame, does it? I can’t imagine being able to carry off excuses for their ineptitude, or in what seems more likely their willing to appear inept to try to allow cheating.
The website 270towin.com has called Arizona for Trump, and is showing a final electoral college result of 312 to 226. Sorry, Casper.
Yep…but he was just going probably with 538 and Cook…who came up just worst on prediction.
Atlas Intel has now pretty much nailed it two times in a row so if we want to look at polling going forward, probably best to use them as the benchmark. The Real Clear Politics average will remain useful as they aggregate just about everybody and that does give a useful look at the trend line. Rasmussen is pretty good, Trafalgar as well – these, of course, are the pollsters Liberals said were “flooding” the averages with garbage pro-GOP polls to make it look like Trump was doing well. All the MSM polls proved completely worthless – anyone citing Washington Post, CNN, Quinnipiac, Susquehanna, Siena, Morning Consult or Marist is literally just lying to you.
The American People won. They took back the country from people who were hell bent on permanent power. Just heard Rand Paul say that when Trump came out in defense of Peanut the squirrel, Trump earned his vote haha … now that’s funny but it’s indicative of how far left the Democrat Party has gone and why they were punished. Americans are very tolerant people, and they gave Democrats just enough rope to hang themselves, which they proceeded to do. Americans don’t like to be put in categories, we don’t like to be ignored, and definitely don’t like to be told we are extremists or insurrectionists. There are still J6 protestors in prison for no reason whatsoever … let them out.
Today is the day the “fundamental transformation” of the country that Obama and Democrats hoped for …. IS OVER. The American people said enough. God Bless America.
Not sure if any of you saw this extremely creepy and disturbing video from Letitia James, but some Democrats still don’t get it. Americans are done with this shit Letitia, you need to go away. Far away

Wow. She doesn’t think much of herself, does she? Glad I hadn’t just taken a sip of coffee when she said she would not abandon her principles, blah blah blah. I am pretty sure this time Team Trump is going to be ready for her.
My view: investigate her. She’s a New York Democrat – I’d bet money she’s on the take. Almost certainly if we started poking around in her finances, we’d either find sufficient dirt for a federal indictment or at least cause her to cool her jets. These people are as stupid as they are arrogant.
I agree, with the caveat that this would have to be completely above-board and free of any hint of lawfare. The Left is already preemptively setting up a defense for this kind of thing. AOC said “We are about to enter a political period of fascism and authoritarianism. It is not uncommon to jail political dissidents or legislative opponents.” which is telegraphing the approach the Left will take when investigated for its crimes.
I do think the Left’s efforts are weaker now, because now they are dependent on Trump acting out their projections. They knew their base is too bone-deep stupid to think back to 2017-2020 and realize that in four years Trump never did a single one of the things they were told he would do if reelected, so they were pretty confident in their fear-mongering about what he WOULD do. But now they have to live with the fact that if he doesn’t do any of the things they howled he would do, their noses will be rubbed in it as we point out that they had been lying.
So now they have to depend on the kind of semantic manipulation attempted by AOC. She makes one declarative statement: “We are about to enter a political period of fascism and authoritarianism.” That’s fairly safe, because the Left has prepared the ground for those accusations. The word “authoritarian” was a recent addition to their verbal arsenal, and we saw the entire range of Leftist mouthpieces obediently parroting it during the last few weeks, and they have been flogging “fascism” nonstop because they know it’s a scary word and because they have a scary visual to go along with it (pictures of Hitler). But then she shifts to the passive voice, which provides a little distance between the speaker and reality and, she hopes, a little deniability when none of her breathless fretting turns out to be predictive: “It is not uncommon to jail political dissidents or legislative opponents.”
And here she is right. The danger in saying this is that it is too easily shown to be true of what happened in the Biden years. The Biden administration did not jail “legislative opponents” (though they were threatened with impeachment and were not allowed to fully participate in some Leftist efforts, like the J6 show trials) but it DID jail political dissidents. Not only jail them but hold them for a year without trial, withhold medical care, restrict their ability to defend themselves and then sentence them to such outrageously severe sentences (such as solitary confinement) that the political retaliation and effort to intimidate other political dissidents was obvious.
And then there is the specter of Donald Trump, the ultimate political opponent, hounded and harassed and persecuted by the State and threatened with jail.
AOC might think she is a warrior for the Left, out there trying to keep the levels of paranoia as high as possible, but I’m hoping the keyboard warriors will jump on that second sentence and point out, rightly, that a fascist and authoritarian regime has been persecuting and jailing political opponents for four years.
Hopefully people will see beyond the esoteric stock market news to the understanding that what this means for the average person is a better economy in general, which will lead to more jobs and lower costs of living.
(Most will probably not even be conscious of the fact that they will no longer have to fear the middle-of-the-night knock on the door from an American Gestapo, which was a rising threat to so many.)
Just heard a report I think is quite illustrative on who Democrats are (pay attention Casper and Rocks). The Harris campaign raised $1 billion for her 100+ days of campaigning. Today, the campaign is $20 million in debt. That is amazingly irresponsible. Democrats just have too many people who feed at the trough of billionaire donors and tax payers
I heard that she had to give millions to the celebs who showed up to draw crowds.
Just an amazingly badly run campaign.
OTOH – Lara Trump proved she’s a real, hard-nosed organizer.
Lara Trump is a force. I wonder if she will seek office at some point.
Susie Wiles to be name first female White House Chief of Staff. She’s the daughter of NFL player and sportscaster Pat Summerall, and has worked long term in the political arena for a number of politicians.
Wiles was able to help control Trump’s worst impulses — not by chiding him or lecturing, but by earning his respect and showing him that he was better off when he followed her advice than flouted it. At one point late in the campaign, when Trump gave a widely criticized speech in Pennsylvania in which he strayed from his talking points and suggested he wouldn’t mind the media being shot, Wiles came out to stare at him silently.
What an upbeat message!
They called the Senate race in PA for McCormick (R) over Casey (D) late yesterday, so that’s 53 for the GOP, probably the max that they’re going to get.
Don’t give up on Lake. Only 43,000 votes down with over 900,000 to count
Brown in Nevada is only 13,000 down. Not sure how many left to count. Nevada you kinda expect to be crooked. Maybe Arizona has absorbed some of that corruption by being next door to Nevada.
with over 900,000 to count
It was a million two days ago. At that rate it’s going to be Thanksgiving before they’re finished.
Why don’t Republicans ever find thousands of uncounted ballots in the trunk of a car or in boxes under a table? Oh wait – it’s because they’re not CHEATERS!!
Heh!
This is so good … where did 15 million votes go??? It’s a mystery lol. I hope they are exposed.
And you’re right about AZ. Only 100,000 votes counted yesterday. ?? I know that Katie Hobbs despises Kari Lake so I think Hobbs is stringing this out to frustrate Lake who I think has won this race.
The disappearance of millions of Democrat votes IS puzzling, especially with record turnout and, as Casper noted, enthusiasm for Harris off the charts. There’s really only ONE explanation……..
Anyone here gloating? Nah, didn’t think so; that would be insensitive.
As usual, I like Jeff Childer’s take on what comes next.
I don’t think they can change:
1. They don’t really know anything. Say what you want about Liberals from the New Deal to the Great Society, they were smart, savvy people who essentially built up a permanent governing majority. The Right could only influence around the edges…and all they Liberals had to do to keep it going was to keep it moderate. Always reject the far Left fanatics (while keeping them on side) and weave a path which kept both upper class urban liberals and working class people on board. That is gone. The far Left fanatics took over the show and while it took a while, they have now entirely shattered the old Liberal coalition and the heirs of FDR and LBJ are just…not very bright.
2. As is common among the half- and badly-educated, ideological purity takes over. Since they don’t really know anything, they cling fast to their received ideas. Think of it as Lenin and Trotsky were intelligent men who reshaped Marxism into a flexible thing able to gain adherents and power…Stalin and Kruschev were ideological enforcers who didn’t think about anything because they didn’t really know anything except that they must be right. Lenin could be flexible (“one step back to take two steps forward”) but Stalin just shot everyone who wouldn’t immediately fall in line (not that Lenin wasn’t perfectly happy to shoot people, but he could also do other things).
A host of factors produced the 2024 result but the best illustration of what happened was the “trans kids” thing – nobody had the slightest problem with trans. We all went “live and let live” on that. Someone felt that their life would be better living as the opposite sex, have at it. Do what you want to do. But then they suddenly asserted that infants can know they are an opposite gender and that these kids must immediately start medical transition. Most of the people went, “are you kidding?” while the Left, locked into ideological conformity, immediately adopted the most fanatic view on the matter.
There was no debate. There was no studying of the matter. Boom! As soon as declared, ruthlessly enforced. Laws and customs must immediately adapt to this New Thing…put tampons in the boys room right now! And if we didn’t agree then we were literally killing people! It wasn’t the only thing the Left went too far on, but it shows just how bad it is over there…they have no correctives, no brake pedal. Tomorrow something else nobody ever thought of before can be decreed by some faction of the Left and they’ll all fall in line…no thought, no question, no dissent. It is just too much. And it has to stop.
So, now it will.
Are these the same pre-paid debit cards that the Left claimed they weren’t giving to illegal immigrants?
This is me not gloating.
ROFL.
On a non-gloat note: the only fail we had this year was in the Senate. Awesome that we won a majority but taking a look at the numbers, we could easily be pushing towards 57 Senators if MI, WI, AZ and NV had been given more resources sooner. That was McConnell and the GOPe maliciously sabotaging the more MAGA candidates. There still is a chance Lake could pull this off but she’d already be declared winner if she had been better supported. And I’ll bet that in the House we lost some close ones because the MAGA candidate wasn’t helped out. Two of Nevada’s three House Democrats only narrowly won against unfunded GOPers and there were several State Assembly districts that didn’t even get a GOP candidate.
I’ll be glad to see McConnell ride off into the sunset.
Someone else said her pronouns were “has/been” 😂
Heh!
WOW!
I heard an excerpt from this yesterday and thought the same thing. WOW. Love it
Woman jailed for opening her salon during COVID wins Texas House seat
This type of stuff is always encouraging to see in an effort to push back against leftist encroachment into personal freedoms.

Trump presents 10-point plan to dismantle and de-weaponize the ‘Deep State’
I’m thrilled to have Trump back in the driver seat but just as important, a majority in both houses to help push good mandates. I sincerely hope they do not squander time bickering or waiting for “never-to-materialize” perfect conditions. Along with this 10-point plan, I’d love to see other major changes to how the government is run. For example, it appears at this point Kennedy will have a place in the Trump administration dismantling and restructuring the FDA & CDC and bring about real change that benefits people’s health and provide for real choices. Also, I’d like the US to leave the UN. The UN is nothing more than an over bloated leftist organization on a global scale. Especially since… “The United States remains the largest donor to the United Nations. It contributed more than $18 billion in 2022, accounting for one-third of funding for the body’s collective budget.” Why would we want to continue being the major funder of an organization that works against us and our interest? He also needs to continue what he did in his first term, nominating good judges and hopefully a few more to the Supreme Court, while removing the option for the left to later stack the court.
There are so many things that need to be done. We are quite fortunate that Trump is far ahead of the curve from his first term in knowledge & preparation. His actions in the early part of this new term will be significant in stripping the left’s ability to use corruption to regain control, both domestically and internationally. It’ll be interesting to see how much corruption actually gets exposed and prosecuted.

Regarding his # 8 I would add to return all federal agencies to their original charters, and to prohibit them from basing actions or decisions on political agendas or bias. For example, the Forest Service has blocked logging for political reasons though the FS charter includes the specific purpose of providing an ongoing source of timber for the nation. FS policies directly resulted in the loss of literally billions of dollars of valuable lumber through its politically-motivated refusals to address the pine beetle infestations until millions of trees were lost and millions of acres became fire hazards filled with dessicated fire fuel.
I would also carefully examine all NGOs for anti-American activity and political activism, and evaluate tax-free status of some groups. And I would stop government subsidies for NPR and Planned Parenthood.
Here is another example of a federal agency acting according to a political agenda. So the guy got fired—-I think it’s obvious that he didn’t expect to be, and wondered if he would have if Harris had won.
When Hurricane Milton crashed into Florida, officials from the Federal Emergency Management Agency ordered relief workers to skip homes with signs supporting Donald Trump in the 2024 election. This isn’t hyperbole or an allegation; it was confirmed by FEMA.
