Getting old is fun – for instance, I started feeling this odd lump on my back and the Mrs, examining it, said I should go get it checked…so, off to the Doc who takes one look at it and breaks out the knife…got it sliced off and then burned a bit. So, yeah, feeling great! I’ll get the biopsy back in a week (it is probably pre-cancerous so no real worries). But, hey, fellow geezers – you do have to get stuff like that checked. Its a difference between some temporary discomfort and a real problem.

Speaking of real problems, the Hegseth nomination is clearly in come trouble. Why? Because Democrat operatives in the MSM started what amounts to a whisper campaign of slanders…”he drinks!” and “he plays around!”. The man is married and has seven children. As a manly man, I have no doubt that back in the day he probably took a drink or two and I believe for men such as him the phrase “has to beat them off with a stick” is appropriate. But its all just uncorroborated rumors…meanwhile, people who know him are going on record saying he’s a great guy. Which he probably is – even if there is a smudge or two in his background (like none of us have that). But that doesn’t stop our RINOs…who are clearly compromised by the Deep State.

In response to this, rumors were floated that DeSantis might be picked if Hegseth drops out…and this is Team Trump signalling that no matter what, the SecDef isn’t going to be a career four-star now working in the Defense industry. In other words, reform is coming to Defense…business as usual is over with. When that particular rumor started to float I noticed a distinct die-down in the anti-Hegseth effort…and, in fact, there seems to be ever less pushback on any of Trump’s nominees. This tells me that the Gaetz nomination was very deliberate…putting someone out there to be a lightning rod and to give a scalp to the wets. By and large, I expect Trump’s current nominees to get in…and thanks to the 1998 Executive vacancies act, Trump can pretty much get anyone he wants to 210 days even without Senate approval or having the Senate to into recess.

We’re going to get our reforms.

In light of this, there are now rumors that Biden is going to blanket pardon a host of people – everyone directly connected to him, of course, but also such people as Adam Schiff and Anthony Fauci. Will he do it? I’m sure pressure is being brought to bear…but, on the other hand, with the Hunter pardon 90% of the threat to Joe, himself, is ended. And its not like Joe is feeling a deep sense of loyalty to his party comrades these days. We’ll see how that plays out. Keep in mind that if they are pardoned, then they can’t invoke the 5th when called to testify before Congress or a grand jury…and even if we can’t get the top guys, there are a host of secondary people in the Democrat Party, the RINOs and the overall Deep State who are highly at risk. Everything they’ve done to get Trump has involved criminal acts…and Biden simply won’t pardon everyone.

We’re going to get our revenge, as it were: except, of course, it isn’t revenge…it is just getting the laws enforced.

Trump will travel to Paris for the re-opening of Notre Dame…this, to me, is significant as France is the pivot of European civilization, as well as being the eldest daughter of the Church. The French, themselves, have had their culture and religion atrophy over the past century but there still is a beating heart of France in there…and for Trump to attend the symbolic restoration of France’s heart is, to me, significant. I suspect that Catholic Melania has been working on him…and this was greatly reinforced by his downright miraculous survival of an assassination attempt.

Mark, I suspect you’re an amateur in the skin cancer dept. My face looks like road construction after 25 years in the desert. When you get the Mohs procedure done … then you’ll be in the big leagues lol.

Pete Hegseth will continue to fight, and he will win and it is VITALLY IMPORTANT that he does. MAGA can not allow any deep state sabotage campaigns to be successful and the fact that they are trying this, means Pete is the right man for the job.

Democrats are in melt down mode so now is the time to ramp up the pressure and break them for good. After what they have done to us over the last 4 years, they deserve no good will.

When you get the Mohs procedure done … then you’ll be in the big leagues lol. I can attest to that. Skiing, snowmobiling and ranching at 9500 feet is hard on all skin, and as an honorary albino—-3/4 Eastern European and 1/4 Irish—-I never stood a chance. I’m due for another carving up and just made an appointment to check out a new potential problem.

Lloyd Austin received 100% Democrat support and we all know what a disaster and a piece of shit he is. Hegseth deserves no less from every GOP Senator. Those who vote no should be primaried and voted out. This is nothing more than a media and deep state hit job. Fuck them all

Watch this and make up your own mind about Hegseth.

Yep – I mean, they’re trying to smear him essentially for being a man. I don’t know if the man led a life of saintly devotion…I doubt that he did. He was a soldier. Probably took a drink. Probably had some opportunities with the ladies. And?

Main thing is that now he’s a husband, father of 7 and a successful businessman…as one does when one is a solid person who may have sowed some wild oats but knows that it comes time to settle down and get to work.

But I note that none of the accusers are on record – that, to me, is crucial. It means they aren’t at all credible. If they had anyone who could give some times and dates with witnesses to genuinely bad acts, that person would be on a 24/7 loop on the MSM.

Democrats are trying to “Brett Kavanaugh” Peter Hegseth. Don’t let the win.

Watching Hegseth you see an amazingly good communicator with a compelling story who is fiercely standing up for himself and the truth.

Wow – just WOW!! (hat-tip – Jeff Childers)

The New York Post ran a story this week headlined, “Top DOGE Elon Musk, House speaker balk at Senate report showing only 6% of federal workers show up in person on full-time basis: ‘Absurd’.” That six percent figure is not new. In April, the Hill ran a story about Biden trying to coax federal workers back to the office, and the article included this eye-popping paragraph:

    image 7.png

A “significant majority?” That’s rich. They’re talking about 94%. I’d call that “pretty much all.”

This week, Senator Joni Ernst (R-Iowa) announced the results of a year-and-a-half study conducted by her office. “The nation’s capital is a ghost town, with government buildings averaging an occupancy rate of 12%,” Ernst wrote in her blistering report. “If federal employees can’t be found at their desks, exactly where are they?” At the spa?

Last month, Ernst was appointed chair of the Senate DOGE Caucus, which plans to collaborate with Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy to slash government bloat and inefficiency.

Elon Musk, who read a pre-publication version of Ernst’s report, tweeted, “If you exclude security guards & maintenance personnel, the number of government workers who show up in person and do 40 hours of work a week is closer to 1%!” (emphasis – mine)

Only one percent of highly-paid and generously benefited federal employees showing up to work in person is an epic disaster that blossomed during the Biden Administration.

I have ideas. First, we should sell all those unused government buildings and use the money to pay down the national debt. Second, it should be simple to reduce headcount because, and this will be a controversial take, fewer focused employees at work are more productive than more multitasking employees working while driving their cars around.

Third, if anyone needed any more evidence that federal agencies don’t need to be located in Washington, DC, the argument is over.

And I can guarantee you, over 50% of those “stay at home” workers … aren’t actually working.

In the same week President Joe Biden pardoned a decade’s worth of crimes for his son Hunter, the criminal justice system could very well send Daniel Penny to prison for restraining a deranged lunatic with a history of violence. – Blaze Media

I’ve not followed this case in detail as it’s difficult to stomach more Manhattan prosecution bs from Bragg. These Soros funded prosecutors need to be stripped from ANY position of authority, especially one where political vendetta is becoming all too commonplace. We’ve been traveling down a dangerous road for some time now and Trump’s election is only small step in a necessary mammoth fix. The deep state wants its power. The majority of those who foolishly enable it have absolutely no clue the destructive power that will engulf everyone within its grasp should the real deep state (satan) acquire it.

    • Mark Noonan's avatar Mark Noonan December 6, 2024 / 4:20 pm

Not only is Penny innocent of any crime, he’s a hero. And he’s only being prosecuted because he’s white. This is no different from Jim Crow prosecutors going after troublesome black men in the South back in the day.

I’ve heard that the prosecutor has referred to Penny as “the white man”…that, to me, is sufficient to charge her with conspiracy to deny civil rights.

I will give Mayor Adams cred for standing up for Penny. He said “You have someone on that subway who was responding, doing what we should have done as a city in a state of having a mental health facility. Those passengers were afraid. But, because this is New York City, the jury is deadlocked.

Bragg was even mentioned by name: Radio host and former two-time Republican New York gubernatorial candidate Rob Astorino, interviewed Adams: Speaking to Adams, Astorino characterized the fact that Penny is even on trial to begin with as “emblematic of what’s going on in New York City right now, at least in the minds of some.

People can’t understand why this guy who came to the rescue of others, where Jordan Neely was clearly mentally disturbed and very threatening, he is the guy now on trial because of Alvin Bragg,” Astorino said, naming the controversial Democratic New York County District Attorney.

I’ve heard that the source of Ernst’s opposition to Hegseth is a Lefty staffer who has been pushing her to battle Trump…on some sort of theory that there’s an appetite in the GOP to actually fight Trump. Don’t know where this idea comes from outside some sort of Never Trump fever swamp…but now Ernst is being pressured the other way as in Iowa there are plenty of MAGA GOPers who would love to run against her if the money becomes available, which it will if she decides to really pick a fight with Trump. My bet: she backs down and “after careful review of the facts” decides to support Hegseth.

There’s just no upside for Never Trump here – we understand Collins taking a few votes like this to keep her “moderate” persona intact – necessary for electoral success in Maine and we all understand this and give her a pass. But in Iowa? It’s a Trump +13 State. There is no electoral risk at all for an Iowa GOPer to be tied to Trump. All the risk is the other way.

But, in the end, we still have a lot of Ernst-types in the GOP…that is, their Republicanism is purely nominal and if they could obtain success as a Democrat, that is what they’d prefer to be. Someone unearthed a video clip of Ernst a few years ago arguing that the all-volunteer military requires we allow trans soldiers…I mean, that’s just stupid. First off: how many can there really be? What is the size of this recruit pool? Secondly, how combat effective is a soldier going through transition? But she said it…because that is what the Establishment said was supposed to be said as the “moderate, centrist, common sense” position. I’m a little surprised she hasn’t drawn a primary opponent…she still might. But she’s guaranteed such if she fights Trump over Hegseth.

“An appetite to fight Trump” is hardly the same as a chance of gaining anything by fighting him. What would be the best outcome for these people? More impeding of a Trump administration, leading to a mediocre term and reinstatement of the Left?

A strong and successful Trump term would mean a strong Republican Party, which would contribute to Republicans being elected or reelected. You have to wonder just who is advocating for gutting the Trump term and by extension the GOP.

No, you don’t have to wonder, It’s obvious, and if Ernst is really being guided by the opinion of someone whose best interests lie in undermining the GOP she is either a RINO or a fool.

      • Mark Noonan's avatar Mark Noonan December 7, 2024 / 4:42 pm

Yep. It just makes no sense – not that she’s the only Deep Red State GOPer who’s like this but it is just asinine at this point. If she wants a future in politics – rather than a future MSNBC gig – she’ll sign on to MAGA. Its not like she can’t stake out a position or two to have some separation from Trump…that’s easy. But it means on the biggest issues, fall in line.
