One of the problems with the Third World is that infrastructure is deliberately destroyed when not merely allowed to decay. Copper theft from power lines and such is a massive problem. So, let’s see how the Third World is doing on that:

Import the Third World, get the Third World. The bottom line here is that the people stealing this didn’t build it – didn’t build anything that exists. They just were willy-nilly shipped in and they’ve brought their habits from home with them. Things exist in order for them to be stolen – and you don’t care if things don’t work because never in your whole life have things ever worked.
I’m kinda tired of being told that my nation – my people – are bad. That the settlers who built Minneapolis are inferior to the “migrants” who are now stealing the copper wire of Minneapolis. Only an idiot destroys infrastructure…but here it is, being destroyed. It is sort of like pictures I’ve seen of South African hospitals…filthy, garbage literally sitting on the floor. Everyone knows that a hospital isn’t supposed to be like that but its like that…because nobody gives a damn. They didn’t build it. It is just something to be stolen, and vandalized if it can’t be carted off.
No people are better than any other people. We are all human beings, children of God. But some people behave a heck of a lot better than others…and the problem of the Third World isn’t the legacy of colonialism or any other excuse being offered up. The problem is the people of the Third World who seem content to live badly. That’s fine. Their life. Their country. Do whatever you want to do. But I’m done with thinking we should continue to import these people – anyone coming in gets vetted and they should be 18 to 30, unmarried, no kids, fluent in English and have $10,000 in cash on them. That way I know they’re people who can reasonably integrate into my society rather than stealing copper wire.
There’s some TV show out there which decided to open up this season where a nun played by Rosie O’Donnell gets it on with another female character.
And the entertainment industry wonders why they’re losing audience. I mean, just in practical terms, if you want to have something vulgar, at least have the vulgarity portrayed by good looking people. Nobody wants to see a 60-something getting it on.
It is just insults, of course. Not even avant-garde. It is boring. To be truly transgressive these days you’d have to respectfully portray a nuclear family having a good life, or a man who works hard and plays by the rules. A distinctly feminine woman who likes and gets along with men. Heck, even just two gay guys who run a bait shop. Something like that. What entertainment does is insult us…not just our morals, but our intelligence. There is a place for the risque in entertainment…but if you’re doing to do it, it is supposed to be subtle and interesting…not a sledgehammer like using Rosie as a lesbian nun.
Thomas Massie seems determine to burn all bridges on the right – his latest effort being a demand we cut off military aid to Israel because “Nothing can justify the number of civilian casualties (tens of thousands of women and children) inflicted by Israel in Gaza in the last two years.” Just absurd.
First off, nobody knows how many people have died in Gaza. The only reports we get are from Hamas or Hamas-allied organizations and we know they lie with wild abandon. Secondly, if there were tens of thousands, there would be pictures of that. You can’t individually bury huge numbers of bodies – once you get past a few hundred, you have to get them into the ground – or burn them – quickly because of health risks. We would have video of mass graves and piles of corpses if even hundreds were being killed at a time, let alone tens of thousands. My bet is that once this is over, we’ll find that the total number of dead in Gaza is no more than a few thousands, almost all of which will be armed fighters with only incidental killings of civilians due to Hamas’ tactic of using civilians as human shields.
As I’ve said before, I think Israel has already lost this war – lost it within 90 days of the start. I could see how this would go: any length of time and public opinion would turn against Israel as the global Establishment geared up to make Israel’s response the problem rather than the Palestinians rapes and murders on 10/7. So it has happened – and I can’t see this ending without Hamas remaining in charge of Gaza. In other words, total Israeli defeat. Israel should have imposed a regular siege – after a legal declaration of war – and compelled the Gazans to surrender unconditionally. They would have. Sure, Hamas would have kept all the food for themselves and let the people starve…but eventually even in that system the food runs out and no human being can resist hunger pangs. After a while, almost everyone will do just about anything just to get a bite to eat. They would have stacked arms and come out with their hands above their heads.
But Israel did not go that route – for fear of offending global opinion, they decided to go slow and soft. Hasn’t worked, of course; the world already hated Israel. There was no upside for Israel to go soft. But softly they went…carefully and methodically targeting only confirmed armed opponents. They have had some major coups in this – the exploding pagers the most notable – but they haven’t had victory. But for our purposes here, the main thing is that Israel is not indiscriminately killing. It isn’t that bad in Gaza. Lot of stuff blown up, but not a lot of death…and nobody is starving or lacking medical care. For Massie to mindlessly repeat the Hamas lies about Israel is astonishing and disgusting. I don’t know what brain disease is affecting some people but it might be that some have just been waiting for their excuse to hate Jews…just as some wait for their excuse to hate Christians. Could be that when you alienate yourself from God, you feel compelled to hate Jews? Don’t know – but it seems that way.

Weakness is at the core of the chaos. Moral weakness by those who should know better. I got into a “trans” debate on X the other day claiming that trans is simply a mental illness that needs to be treated, not celebrated. Of the course the usual comments flowed in that I am a bigot and transphobic, but those comments are simply the complaints of narcissistic people who don’t get validated, and we should never validate narcissistic disorders as those are the root of societal chaos. A healthy society requires personal responsibility to constructively contribute to the betterment of that society. It is no different within the nuclear family … everyone has a responsibility and if one member of the family just does whatever they want, the unit breaks down. Those people who celebrate trans people, are simply morally weak people who would rather virtue signal than be responsible. It’s the easy way out.
The same can be said about the Israel/Hamas issue. The Palestinians are straight up 5th century barbarians and those who do not acknowledge that are morally weak. They are a people who have been given everything from their own land, to billions in aid and support and they are still incapable of being decent constructive people. They continue to teach their kids to hate and to be violent in the name of their fucked up religious cult. Until you get rid of the cockroaches, you will always have a cockroach problem.
A healthy society requires decent people who focus on positive, constructive endeavors rather than those who seek personal whims and validations.
A key question that is never asked of a “trans” man-to-woman is “Do you truly believe you ARE a woman or do you just want to be/wish you could be?” Because I believe that an honest answer to that question would be no, I don’t think I AM a woman but I really really want to be and wish I could be. And from that point, therapy could begin, starting with the question “why?”
Let’s not forget the social currency component of this movement either. I suspect a lot of trans kids are acting out that way simply because of the emotional validation they receive from everyone. Where as being a simple white male, or black male, only begets scorn.

My high school friends have talked about the fad element of being “trans”—the older kids in the family never had a “trans” classmate but the younger ones have seen girl after girl suddenly decide she is “trans”. The social validation is immense. This has the benefit of upsetting the parents and family, moving to the center stage regarding attention, and being hailed as heroic and special by teachers and the media.
A few years ago these teen girls seeking attention and a way to establish their identities became “goth” or “vampires”, wore black lipstick and vials of what was claimed to be blood and acted out according to various Hollywood scenarios. This upset families, but not deeply, and didn’t get the support and praise of teachers and society in general. Their support was from a specific and small peer group.
But “trans” is a whole new ball game, putting these girls on pedestals. And that is fine, as long as it is seen as a phase and they are allowed to outgrow it, if they are not maimed and mutilated and having their bodies permanently altered to rise to higher and higher levels of commitment to gain more and more praise.
Look at the areas of accomplishment that kids used to be able to aspire to, to establish their identities and social status and so on. There were academic achievement (now either downgraded so everyone gets the same high grade no matter what and real achievement is deemed “racist”) and sports (now restricted to males as girls are effectively forced to compete with males) for example. Both of these are now pretty meaningless, except for the very few stars in boys’ football or basketball. Extracurricular activities are not ways to find niches, as they are now subject to racial exemptions and standards and forced into DEI-type structures and formats. For example, “boy scouts” are now forced to accept girls, and girl scouts are subjected to social engineering pressures like messages about abortion and race.
It is patently obvious that the number of people claiming trans status is social contagion – as Amazona points out, it gets you attention and special treatment these days. Human beings respond to incentives – and the less grounded in reason a person is, the more incentives matter. And these days all the incentives are in claiming a status which gives social power without accomplishment. That is very key here: you don’t have to do anything to be trans. You just have to say you are. The moment you say you are, hero status is conferred and woe betide the person who disputes your claim.
I can’t emphasize enough how “gay marriage” opened this door – if any coupling of people is a marriage then the word is meaningless…and if that word is meaningless, so are all words, including “man” and “woman”. We on the Right really failed on that debate – public opinion was entirely on our side (vote after vote even in blue States had gone against SSM) but we flubbed it by conceding that what was wanted was “marriage”. We went with the Left Narrative about it when we should have been very firm that there never could be a marriage between two people of the same sex. The operation of two men getting together was a different species of action from a man and a woman getting together. Give them the tax breaks, give them the visitation and health care powers, give them every last thing on the list of things in marriage, but don’t call it a marriage. Because it ain’t.

I said all along, to shrill squeals of outrage from our resident trolls at the time, that the goal of “gay marriage” was never equal treatment for same-sex couples but the erosion of the meaning of the word “marriage”. All they wanted was the WORD.
Then we saw the same shrill outrage when Roe v Wade was overturned. This did not mean females could no longer kill their inconvenient children, but it took away the word “right”—and that was what made Roe so meaningful to the Left. It sanitized the inherent inhumanity of abortion by recasting it as a simple “right”—and after all, isn’t that what America is all about, after all? RIGHTS? Roe did little to change access to abortion itself, but it enshrined this vile act as a “right” equal to any other.

Think about even something as hideous as slavery – the Founders felt they couldn’t do away with it, but they clearly didn’t like it. The word “slave” does not appear in the Constitution. Nor does anything that defines a class of people as property. It is “persons held to service”…which, in that time, could even mean a boy bound over as an apprentice at a carpenter’s shop. They knew if they started to define the term slave and so forth then they would be, like it or not, enshrining slavery in the Constitution as a right. They knew what they were doing – highly educated people who knew what words meant and, also, the power of words well-used. They essentially built into the document the ability to abolish slavery…first at the State level and later nationally.
I saw a great stat the other day that needs to be amplified – at the height of slavery in 1860, less than 2% of population owned slaves. LESS THAN 2%. Consider that when the call for reparations come in …
Then, if possible, narrow that -2% to geographic location, then break it down by the race of the slaveholder.
Race baiters openly depend on the stupidity of their base. That is, they depend on the conviction of their believers that slavery began with the importation of only black slaves to the colonies and then continued when they became states and that white men went into the heartland of Africa and personally stole and then transported black people to these shores. That only black people have ever been slaves, and that these slaves were all, inevitably, brutalized in every possible way.
The truth is so alien to these narratives that it is denied. Tell a self-victimized black person that if all the slaves in history could be counted black slaves would constitute a minority with most slaves being white or Asian and you will be called a liar—-or simply ignored while the bleating goes on about slavery being focused on black people. Tell the audiences of these race pimps that every black person transported to the colonies to be a slave was captured by fellow black people in Africa and then sold, and this will either be denied or just ignored. Tell them that the first slave holders in this country were black and you will get the same response, or non-response.
As for the only place where slavery still exists being in Africa, black people enslaved by black people, this is simply ignored as well, because that (along with the expansion of black-on-black slavery to selling slaves to whites) doesn’t fit the desired narrative.
I have a mental image of two pictures side by side. In one, an obviously healthy and well-fed black person proudly holds a new college degree, surrounded by well-dressed, well-fed, family members, and below is the caption: “5th Generation Victim of Slavery”. Next to it is a family of thin black Africans surrounding a mud hut, with the caption: “5th Generation Saved From Slavery”.
Slavery was bad. But it was not unique to this country, not unique to whites, not universally marked by brutal abuses of slaves, and not something that then crippled further generations once it was removed.
I am supposed to be responsible for “reparations” for slavery for people not only never enslaved but generations away from slavery–even for black people whose ancestors were not even in this country during the short period when slavery was allowed here, just because they are black. There is no need to prove slave ancestry or even African ancestry—it’s all about skin color. Merely being black is the only criterion for “deserving” OPM.
On the other hand, all my ancestors came here after slavery ended, so there not a single person in my history who ever owned a slave. All of my background is agricultural, so there isn’t even a claim that my ancestors somehow benefitted from slavery by working in businesses supposedly “built on the backs of slaves”. But I am white. (OK, more like pink, but in the spectrum of whiteness.) And lack of blackness is the only criterion for “deserving” to have my money taken from me and given to someone with darker skin.
And this supposedly makes sense, as people squeal that they are not greedy, just seeking “justice”. And BTW, they are not racist, just because they base every element of their lives on skin color.

There is no genocide in Gaza – not even anything that can be willfully misinterpreted as a genocide. It simply is not happening in any way, shape or form. Yet the Democrats are shouting it from the rooftops…and people do believe it.
Remember: the people who believe there’s a genocide in Gaza also believe that Butler was faked and that Trump is a fascist…think about how divorced from reality you have to be to believe all that…and then consider that a certain percentage of such people will be clinically insane…and will take a shot, throw the cocktail…but the fault is also in those who lie.
Ukraine obviously doesn’t need our help. Let’s completely withdraw and use that money to rebuild America.
